Played Portal revolution
6.5/10
It was good cooking, but should've stayed in the Pan for a little longer and had a little too much salt.
Spoilers below
The Good Parts:
Stirling and Emilia are very funny. I liked their dialogues and interactions, as well as their designs.
Stirling felt very much like Wheatley, Virgil, and Nigel, while also being demonstrably different and personable.
Emilia was unique and I enjoyed hearing about her backstory, as well as the fact she's very human, which makes sense.
I like the the Player Character's design.
The first Dual Portal device looks really cool, the exposed wires, the cracked glass, the scaffolding beneath the cover being exposed are all very good. The Jiggle Physics on the loose prong at the front was a nice touch.
The Second was a nice Red color, and the new portal colors were cool. It looked nice as well.
Being able to be outside was a nice change of pace, you know, being able to see that sun and the sky.
The Added mechanics of the Breaker Switches was really cool, and it made sense - the Aerial Faith Plates and such turning off when there was no power was interesting.
The Linked Weighted Pivot Cubes were also very cool, and was a very much appreciated new mechanic.
Bringing the Pipes in as part of it was fun. I always liked their designs.
The Bad parts
We spent too little time with Stirling and Emilia, the amount of time we spent with the one-portal device felt excessive (I Audibly said "No Shit" when Stirling made the Quip about finally finding the Dual portal device) and I think having us change between the Red and Broken ones wasn't necessary - it was neat, but I feel like we should've had just one, because then it would've been our only constant ally when we would be separated from the Cores, as well as making the use of the portal Guns seem less special, given we find just a random working one.
What is Stirling plan? Bring Glados Back, and try to mitigate the damage she does to Aperture and the Humans and Cores inside of it? Glados started this (well Cave did, but semantics) She was killing Test subjects, and the one that survived had to kill her to survive. Maybe he's just scared of seeing his home fall apart so he takes his anger out on Chell, even though He's working to save it and put a killer on the throne.
The mechanics I mentioned above (Breaker Switch, linked Cubes, Pipes) were severely under utilized, especially when in the boss fight, it would've been so cool to have to use them to take out turrets and launch blocks and turn of certain sections of the Spire to traverse!
Some of the writing felt off? Like, Stirling presents the dangers of everything with way too much forwardness. he should've said something more like "Yeah try not to stand under that too long, You'll just make a Mess. I mean, who would guess skin would stick to panels so hard after sloughs off from that stuff."
Emilia is too smart for how human she is, which does break the immersion a little bit, and she doesn't freak out nearly enough for what happened to her. I think her voice is too clear as well, and should've had a filter on it.
Also there was a fair bit of Map Geometry that hindered movement an awful lot, getting stuck on random unseen objects and not being able to jump properly.
And the ending is Disappointing. In Portal you get out, and are dragged back in. in Portal 2 you get out. In PS: Mel, you get out, with Virgil is genuinely sad you have to leave. Nigel's a little bitch and kills you even if you extinguish the fire.
no matter what you do in Revolution, the Spire Blows, you're critically injured and on the moon. Presumably you do survive given you see stuff happening and Hear the record Emilia left, so either there's a sequel in the works, or it's just disappointing.
So I suppose I should give it the benefit of the doubt since you get dragged back in in Portal, but that was changed after Portal 2 came out I'm pretty sure.
TL;DR
There's a lot of little things I like, a few big things I thought were interesting.
There's some stuff I would've loved to see more of, some questions unanswered as of writing this.
There are a few things I disliked, but none of it ruined the game. I had fun, and will likely play again.

glo rewatches soy luna 3
This season was actually my least favorite the first time I watched because there were a lot of characters that annoyed me but rewatching made me enjoy the storyline more so I’ll share my thoughts:
I lowkey wanted Simón to be the one who had the accident instead of Matteo because we all know Luna would be worried but considering Ámbar was on the rival team, I would have preferred to see her reaction to Simón getting hurt because she will act like she doesn’t care in front of her team but inside she will be freaking out. I was robbed.
I’m surprised Pedro and Delfi lasted the entire season without any breakups… they’re literally the only ship on this show to do that.
It breaks my heart to see Matteo losing his confidence but I love his development this season
MICHEL GO AWAY NO ONE LIKES YOU
He always lingers around it’s so annoying. If i was Luna, I’d tell him off
Jim and Yam are sooo annoying constantly bugging Luna about Michel when she said over and over again she doesn’t like him
Jim and Yam need to mind their own business I swear. I wish they left the show
Benicio is so pathetic. He deluded himself into thinking Ámbar actually had feelings for him when she was just having fun and playing him because she only wants Simón
I love to hate Emilia. At first I just hated her but this rewatch made me love her as a villain
I wish the actor for Gastón was in the finale so that way we could of still had our Gastina endgame :(
The Valentes needs to stop being so naïve. It drives me crazy.
I’m actually happy Rey found love with Maggie because he was always a serious man and she loosens him up a bit
Rey can’t think clearly and does reckless, stupid things for Sharon. She’s so toxic for him. He’s literally a puppet whenever he’s around her.
I really enjoyed Lutteo’s storyline this season especially when Matteo had his accident and Luna was trying to help him gain his confidence back
Ámbar becoming the J&R manager was the best thing that could of happened because you’d think she’d abuse her power but that’s when she started to redeem herself.
I love seeing Luna and Ámbar being cousins. The way Ámbar chased after Luna when the mansion caught on fire 😭
I loved seeing everyone living in Luna’s mansion lol
Sitteo are boyfriends and it’s canon
Having Matteo or Simón as your boyfriend is a dream come true because they’re both so romantic with their grand gestures. And they shower you with kisses 🥺
It was painful seeing how oblivious Simón was when Luna had feelings for him again… I still wonder what would of happened if Simón found out. Would he still choose Ámbar or? There’s always that ‘what if’ with Lumon I can’t get over
Lutteo’s rain kiss was such good quality. Other shows with a rain kiss, the lighting is awfully dark but I noticed Disney Channel shows have a bright saturated coloring
Matteo suffered almost as much as Season 2. Everyone just wouldn’t leave him alone and kept getting in the way OMG
The chemistry whenever Lutteo are singing or skating together is so intense
Simbar has way too much sexual tension for a Disney show…
I don’t think I’ve ever seen Jazmín without her damn tablet shoving a camera in your face
The luna/fresa necklace Matteo got for Luna on her 18th birthday was sooo sweet. I love that a lot
Simón leaving a trail of white rose pedals for Ambar was so romantic. Simón is the best thing that could of happened to her
Simón believing in Ámbar that deep down she’s a good person while everyone thought he was crazy makes me weep. I mean Simón was the only one who saw a vulnerable side of her because she only shared it with him so that’s why he kept insisting she could change and he was right.
Matteo pleading for Simón and Pedro to be in his first album made me so happy. Matteo will always be a part of Roller Band
I absolutely love Matteo this season. I liked him in Season 1 and he had his moments in Season 2 but Season 3 he was just unproblematic the entire time so I love that for him
Ámbar organizing the whole Dia De Los Muertos event for Simón was the most precious thing. She knew how much he missed Mexico and wanted to make him happy 💜 And the scene where he tells her about the tradition is my fav
I absolutely love Ámbar’s style this season. Even after she ditched the all black, she still had an edgy vibe which is different from Season 1-2
Sharon losing her sight permanently was pretty dark for a Disney show…
We don’t see the inside of Blake now but the scenes are outside, which I found interesting since half of the characters graduated
I’m happy the finale actually felt like a finale. Even tho this season is 20 episodes shorter, I think they did a great job at giving everyone closure

The train's medical files are a mess after the census! Can you help the doctors by matching each patient with the phobia they're being treated for? 1) Wilford - 2) Melanie - 3) Layton - 4) Josie - 5) Alex - 6) Ruth - 7) Audrey - 8) Javi - 9) Ben - 10) Till - 11) Roche 12) Sykes - 13) Zarah - 14) Pike - 15) LJ - 16) Oz - 17) Kevin - 18) Tristan 19) Boki - 20) Lights - 21) MIles - 22) Lilah - 23) Grey - 24) Emilia - 25) Icey Bob -
1. Public Speaking 2. Flying/ airplanes 3. Enclosed spaces 4. Spiders 5. Dogs 6. Mice 7. Doctors/ medical procedures 8. Aliens/ medical procedures 9. Clowns 10. Cannibals 11. Mall Santas 12. Abandonment 13. The Dark 14. Turning out just like a parent/parent figure 15. Not living up to a parent/ parent figure 16. Taking a test they're not prepared for 17. Sleeping through a test they are prepared for 18. Bad planetary alignments/ inauspicious astrology 19. Dying alone 20. Forgetting their loved ones 21. Freezing to death 22. Making a mistake that causes everyone to freeze to death 23. Being naked in public 24. Being exposed in public 25. Getting peanut butter stuck to the top of their mouth
YESSSS this was so fun! I switched Lights and Jinju by the way since I kinda like Jinju more :P Under the cut :)
1) Wilford - Dying alone
Wilford gives me the vibes that he wants to die like a king. In his own bed, with his adoring followers around him, maybe helped along with like a syringe of medication or something. I feel like him dying alone, separated from the people he arguably builds his identity around (i.e the Wilfordites) would be scary for him.
2) Melanie - Forgetting their loved ones
A big theme of her arc is the people she’s doing all this for, i.e Alex, Ben, Javi etc. Forgetting them and forgetting her purpose would just be scary to her!
3) Layton - Doctors/ medical procedures
This guy probably has worms from living in the Tail, but he ain’t gonna see anyone about it.
4) Josie - Aliens/ medical procedures
Josie’s just like ‘I don’t trust aliens!’
5) Alex - Abandonment
I’m so sorry you know I had to do it to em
6) Ruth - Sleeping through a test they are prepared for
Ruth is ALWAYS on time! She never misses an important event!
7) Audrey - Bad planetary alignments/inauspicious astrology
It’s Audrey, for god’s sake. There’s no way she doesn’t subscribe to astrology at least a bit
8) Javi - Dogs
Even before the dog attack! He’s just a soft boy that’s scared of everything :((((
9) Ben - Making a mistake that causes everyone to freeze to death
He probably doesn’t tell anyone about this, but he’s an engineer and drives the train, so…..
10) Till - Turning out just like a parent/parent figure
This seems semi-canon but from what's implied to us, her parents didn't really accept her so if she was to have kids she'd try not to be like them.
11) Roche - Flying/ airplanes
Roche gives me ‘won’t fly on a plane unless absolutely necessary’ vibes.
12) Sykes - Cannibals
I have no basis for this, but maybe if they run out of food on the pirate train, cannibalism will be something they’ll have to wrestle with?
13) Zarah - Not living up to a parent/ parent figure
Zarah seems to love her mom and think she was a good parent, so this is probably it.
14) Pike - Clowns
I mean. Yeah. I just feel like Pike wouldn’t like clowns
15) LJ - Mall Santas
It’s the only thing she’s really scared of!
16) Oz - Being naked in public
As much as he acts like a poser, I think most of his nightmares are of him on the football field buck naked.
17) Kevin - Taking a test they're not prepared for
Kevin gives me HUGE teachers pet vibes, like I would fully expect him to freak out if he’s not 100% prepared for anything
18) Tristan - Public speaking
Wasn’t this canon?
19) Boki - Freezing to death
He’s always doing stuff outside, and I feel like that’d be in the back of his mind as he does it. (and running out of his favourite alcohol)
20) Jinju - The dark
Potentially? That just opens up a lot of cute scenarios with Till tho :P
21) Miles - Getting peanut butter stuck to the top of their mouth
The moment this poor kid tastes peanut butter for the first time, he’s gonna have this fear.
22) Lilah - Being exposed in public
I feel like this was canon as well, she seems like somebody who REALLY likes her privacy. Remember how much she freaked out about LJ’s deeds getting revealed to the train?
23) Grey - Spiders
I know this guy is like a super beefed up SAS guy who’s clearly got skeletons in his closet, but wouldn’t it be funny if he literally was like this? I mean it’s spiders, so he doesn’t ever have to see them on Snowpiercer if he doesn’t want to.
24) Emilia - Mice
I imagine that Big Alice has a ton of mice in the corners. It's a supply train, nobody's out here trying to make it look nice :P
25) Icy Bob - Enclosed spaces
Think about it: he’s spent a lot of time in that weird chamber in the Big Alice medical car, which is probably too small for him. He can’t escape it, and he’s surrounded by the cold ice which causes him extreme pain. I think that if he lived, this would still be a big problem for him.

Recently, I have been getting obsessed with Mark strong but WHAT THE HELL this guy is so freaking underrated. I mean his acting level is top notch .it doesn't matter whatever the role is or how minor it is, he gives his best. Why the f*ck is Hollywood still sleeping on him?why is he casted in shitty movies more often? Give this guy some major f*cking roles. Lately I have been imagining him in roles of some high order nazis lieutenant in some sort of historical drama series. I know he would be perfect to play it.it just really frustrates me so much when I see people babbling about decent or below than average actors...that how phenomenal they are (oky no actual hate to actors but Emilia Clarke and kit Harrington acting sucks man like the most of the main media cast of GOT except the non major ones are great.) whereas most of the time no one bats an eye on brilliant acting performances by side or minor actors. They get shaded by them. I got it,not every single actor can get Hollywood Walk of fame but at least people should really stop comparing their favourites celebrity mediocre acting skills to some acting legends.i don't know why It has became a trend these day like whatever movie or tv series clips I see, people in comments just start comparing actor's average acting to emmy winning performances .it doesn't mean that other famous celebrities can't act. I mean just look at some of them colin Firth, cillian murphy,Liam Neeson, Willem Dafoe, Mads Mikkelsen, christian bale,Anthony Hopkins and many more. Their acting deserves all the praises.it is what would I like to call remarkable . i think with the current situations of influx of so many new actors , it would be safe to say that at least people should keep their bars a little high especially in our generation of TikTok ,where it is so easy to get famous by literally doing bare minimum.Tobias Menzies is an another underrated gems that i love but thankfully he has finally got some spotlight after the Netflix crown series.i really pray that some day Mark would get his major breakthrough to public eyes and will be able to come out of shadows.and yes if you are thinking that I am just some karen who is venting her pent up frustration then I would like to bring light on the fact that I am an 18 year old teenager who has been cursed to fall for men that are twice my age(most of the times)and are always, ALWAYS FREAKING UNDERAPPRECIATED!!i don't know why did I just rant these stuffs to you? sorry for this.and yes plz don't mind me(Or my english cuz it's not my native language)if you don't like some of my opinions that I have written.Last thing,Yes Mark is the only bald man in this entire planet that i can find good looking.Never have i ever even imagined that one day i would find a bald man attractive.... By the way Have a good day.
I cannot believe I never responded to this. And you are right the man is a treasure. I'm not a big fan of bald men either but there is just something about Mark. Maybe it is the way he plays a bad guy so that he is never just bad. He is sinister but smart and of course sexy. Maybe it is the way he can do drama and suspense and comedy. There are days that I just pray to meet a man like him. While we can only know him as a celebrity and an actor, I get the feeling he is just a genuine, fun, and smart person.

Weekend Getaway || Self-Para
When: July 22, 2021
Where: San Francisco, California
Featuring: Ace Wong, Abbie Cohen (Ace’s half-sister), and Logan Miller (Abbie’s fiancé)
Triggers: Anxiety, self-harm
Emilia needed to get away. After spending half of the month cooped up in her room-- and the entire month without her favorite person-- she was getting restless and anxious. Lola said she needed to clear her head, but what if that wasn’t the full story? What if Lola just wanted to get away from her because she did something to upset her? Emilia had been having these thoughts multiple times a week since Lola’s departure, and she needed to get away before those thoughts-- and worse intrusive thoughts-- consumed her. So she texted her other favorite person.
Emilia: hey, are you free this weekend? do you think I can come visit?
Ace: of course you can! I’ll clear my schedule! I NEED to take you to CAS and SFMOMA!!!
Emilia packed a bag and was on the road the same day. Paula wasn’t thrilled about the spur-of-the-moment decision, but she knew Ace and trusted him to keep her daughter safe. Six hours later, she was in The Golden City. As soon as Emilia entered Abbie’s house, she fell into her best friend’s arms, squeezing him tightly.
“I missed you,” she muttered, burying her face into his shoulder.
“Missed you too,” he muttered back, petting her hair as she sobbed into his shoulder.
Ace made his move back to San Francisco in April, and this was the first time she had seen him in person since the move. She wanted to go to his graduation ceremony, but had too much going on with finals. She felt awful for missing it, but he understood and told her that there was always next time. This was also the first time she was seeing Abbie and Logan since before their engagement. She congratulated the happy couple and asked them for all the details about their wedding planning process. Once her bags were put down, the air mattress was blown up, and Abbie and Logan left for their night shift at the hospital, she sat down in Ace’s room and shared everything that was on her mind.
“So at the end of May, my parents went on a cruise for their wedding anniversary. To celebrate the semester ending, Blaine and I decided to throw a party. I told people they could tell their friends, which was probably the biggest mistake. Too many people showed up. I don’t even know how that many people found out about it. There were people there who were complete strangers to me! And I tried to be a good host and talk to everyone, but it was really draining. Blaine wasn’t there at the start of it because he was picking up drinks and got stuck in traffic, but when he came home and saw all the people, he flipped his shit. He screamed at me about how I didn’t respect him and that I was ruining his home, all this really mean stuff. I ended up shutting myself in my room for the rest of the party. Blaine and I ended up making up the next morning as we were cleaning up, and it hasn’t come up again, but... I really upset him, Ace. A childhood picture of him and his parents got smashed. And you know Blaine, he’s a pretty stoic guy, but things with his mom just really set him off. And then there was pride. Pride was really fun. There was the parade, and the beach concert, all this cool stuff. This whole big fight broke out at the concert, but I’ll tell you about that later... But as fun as it was, I didn’t get to spend much alone time with Lola. I did spend time with her, don’t get me wrong, but... it was never really just the two of us. Then right after the month was over, she leaves! She went to spend some time with her family in Chicago. And we’ve been texting here and there, but... but I don’t know if she still likes me. And then when I was at a rest stop, I saw some shit on Gossip God saying how I was doing just fine without her. But I’m really not! I feel myself constantly checking my phone for updates from her. I keep worrying that one day she’s just going to text me and say that she hates me and never wants to see me again.” At the end of her rambling, she flopped face-down onto Ace’s bed.
Ace tried to follow along as well as he could by reading her lips. He didn’t fully catch every detail, but got the gist of everything. He rubbed his best friend’s back as he spoke to her, “Hey, it’s all going to be okay. Blaine just had a bad night, and if he was really still mad at you, I don’t think you would’ve been able to make up the next morning. And with Lola, I’m sure she wouldn’t just decide to hate you. From what I’ve seen, she seems to be the type to speak her mind, so if she didn’t like you, I think she would’ve said something by now. Sometimes people just get overwhelmed and need a break. I’m sure if you were living away from your mom, you’d do the same thing. Hell, I did the same thing back in January! She’ll come back, and you two will get your alone time in no time... Is there anything else bothering you?”
Emilia hesitated before looking back up at Ace and answering, “Relapse. I’m afraid I’m going to relapse. I’ve been thinking about it late at night every night for the past week or so. Every time I see scissors at work or razors in the bathroom, I just... I freak out.”
“Have you told your therapist about this?”
“No, she’s on vacation until August. Everyone’s abandoning me.”
“Hey, hey. I’m still here, whether I’m a six minute drive or a six hour drive. And I’m here with you right now. Nothing will happen to you on my watch. We’re going to have a fun, relaxing weekend together. I got you a CityPASS and we’re going to go to the museums together, and if you packed a bathing suit, we can go to the beach too. And then you’re going to drive home on Sunday and text me when you get home. And if you get any more thoughts about it, you’re going to text me and we’ll talk through it. And once your therapist gets back from vacation, you’re going to tell her everything you’ve said to me today. Okay?”
“Okay...” She sniffled, sitting up to wrap her arms around Ace once more.

Hello AJ. Shy anon here. So I've seen a couple of blogs being asked to cast hollywood actors in tellywood shows and since you absolutely adore MJHT and it also happens to be my latest obsession I thought I'd ask you to cast hollywood actors as MJHT characters. I'm super duper excited to hear your thoughts, but ofcourse this is entirely meant to be fun and bring you joy so if its too much effort and too time consuming then feel free to ignore. Bye 🥰
Hello Hi Shy Anon!
First of all I’m SO glad that we’re talking more frequently and that you’re slowly and gradually coming out of your little shy shell :)
Second, I absolutely adore how respectful and kind you are in your messages. Thank you, that just warms my heart and brightens my day.
The ironic part of your ask is MJHT is heavily inspired by F.R.I.E.N.D.S and Archie’s (the comic book). And in my opinion it’s well made and the writers are always aware of its inspirations - which makes MJHT wholesome and special.
So, thinking about fan casting actors who work in Hollywood as MJHT leads... lemme see...
FAN CASTING MILEY JAB HUM TUM
Emilia Clarke as Nupur Bhushan
Energetic! Dramatic! And someone who is unabashed of voicing her opinions. A tad bit immature at times but also someone who lives every single day of her life. Emilia will excel in bringing Nupur to life.
Nicholas Hoult as Mayank Sharma
Smart, intelligent, sarcastic, witty and logical - that’s Mayank Sharma for you. Also, a secret dramatic queen who emerges once getting to know the Bhushans! Also, Nicholas can be quite the guy who can quickly shift between quick quips and a deadpan face!
Harry Styles as Samrat Shergill
The college’s sweetheart, basketball sensation, a certified flirt and the one who wears his heart on his sleeve. His smiles charm the whole school and there’s really no one who can escape his sweetness. The playboy you kinda root for.
Emma Watson as Gunjan Bhushan
The shy, intelligent, introvert, strong willed character fits Emma like a glove! LIKE LOOK AT THOSE GLASSES! She’s emotionally smart, a dedicated friend, loves academics and has big dreams and talent that can seem absent to those who aren’t observant.
Zendaya as Diya Bhushan
THE ABSOLUTE FREAKING QUEEN OF EXCEL COLLEGE. THE QUEEN WITH A HEART OF GOLD. SOMEONE WHO ACTUALLY HAS AN AMAZING UNDERSTANDING OF WORLD AND RELATIONSHIPS. Zendaya aces playing layered characters so it makes sense why she’d be Diya.
John Boyega as Uday Bhushan ‘Dodo’
Not much gifted in intellect but has the biggest heart and is instantly likable - our dearest Dodo. John’s comic timing and instantly sweet personality makes everyone like him! Also, slowly and gradually Dodo becomes one of the most important and irreplaceable characters of the show!
Hope you enjoy this fan casting as much as I enjoyed making this!
Love,
- AJ

PETER PETTIGREW is TWENTY-TWO YEARS OLD and a BARMAN at THE LEAKY CAULDRON in DIAGON ALLEY. He looks remarkably like DAVID LAMBERT and considers himself aligned with THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX. He is currently TAKEN.
→ OVERVIEW:
Peter Pettigrew has always been the sort of boy who felt as though he didn’t belong. Growing up in the wizarding village of Chudley with his mother and father, Peter felt out of place. His mother HOLLIE HOLLOW had been born a witch to a fairly notable family with a promising inheritance before she had married his father. An Irish man, EWAN PETTIGREW had hailed from Dublin. A sturdy man and unlike any Hollie had come across prior and was completely swept off her feet from the moment she had laid eyes on him. After the two were married Hollie moved back to Chudley and announced to her family she had fallen pregnant with Peter. She hoped the news of a baby would bring her family closer together despite her choice to marry a Muggle but found herself mistaken. Cast out into the cold, Peter’s father gave up his career as a boxer and bought the local pub in Chudley renaming it The Merrow where Peter was born and raised. The Pettigrew family had a difficult time in Chudley due to Peter’s father who couldn’t quite seem to fit in amongst the witches and wizards who primarily made up the small town. Part of the reason Peter never felt he quite fitted into his own family was due to his father’s internal struggle. As a young man growing up in Ireland he had always wanted a strong boy who would grow to be like him.
When Peter began showing magical ability and showed little interest in boxing, his father tried his best to win him round and persisted in trying to make his life as close to a Muggle one as he could. He sent Peter to primary school outside the village and enrolling him in boxing classes, allowing him to come home battered, bruised and unhappy but still Peter continued to go. Peter had always been a boy who was eager to please with a balanced sense of humour that is often acquired by growing up in a pub. Children would often try and bully him at school, especially when he first began showing signs of becoming a wizard. Peter would be able to do things that other children could not, making items of school work belonging to children who picked on him disappear with a simple thought, or making an extra piece of cake appear on his tray at school after he was told he couldn’t have more than one. Despite it being brilliant magic, he was often called a freak and returned home with bruises not just from his boxing classes but inflicted by others at school he spoke back to. Naturally his father had protested attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, hoping instead he would attend Sacred Heart College, the Catholic school close to the house and begin taking shifts at the pub when he was old enough.
Thankfully his mother had refused and packed him away to school with little help from his father who had refused to even accompany them to Diagon Alley to collect his supplies. Hogwarts felt as though it would be a fresh start for Peter without the worry of being bullied. At this school he was just like everyone else and was excited to be treated as such. JAMES POTTER and SIRIUS BLACK were the first people to notice Peter wasn’t like everyone else, though he liked that about him. Peter had a hardened look about him and seemed older than most of the other students due to a lifetime of bullying and emotional abuse from his father. When LARKIN MULCIBER sneered at him for his tatty robes, Peter’s response was to attempt to have a fist fight with him which certainly caught the attention of the two boys. Both children from notable families, what little he learned of them struck Peter as interesting, particularly Sirius whose family situation sounded even more horrible than his own. Peter had never been around boys like these before. They thought Peter was cool because he lived in a pub and knew how to give someone a right hook which were things Peter had always been ashamed of rather than embraced. Sitting under the hat in his first year, Peter prayed to be placed in Gryffindor alongside Sirius and was overjoyed to get his wish and later be joined by James at the Gryffindor table.
There they all sat, breaking bread and throwing it at one another as Peter sat wondering if in that moment he was the happiest he had ever been. Peter’s school experience was influenced largely by those around him. Not a naturally academic or gifted student, Peter’s value lied in a number of other things. He was a damn good Beater, could drink like a champion, smoke like a chimney, and was the fastest at downing shots at parties and then was able to lie through his teeth about it afterwards to PROFESSOR MINERVA MCGONAGALL. Peter was a fiercely loyal friend and had a reputation as being the most trustworthy of his friendship group. Though he lied often for James and Sirius to teachers, it was REMUS LUPIN who Peter found himself lying for the most during his time at school. Remus had become close with Peter, James and Sirius through sharing a dorm room together but found that as fun as he was he disappeared often without warning for days at a time and made strange excuses after his return. After one evening, curiosity got the better of Peter and Sirius who followed Remus out to The Dark Forest one full moon and saw him shift into a werewolf. When Remus returned the boys alerted Remus to their findings, followed by a master of an idea by Sirius to learn to become Animagi to accompany Remus during his transformations and look after him. It was at that point the four became truly bonded.
Known as the Marauders, they became inseparable and vowed to take the secrets of one another to the grave. Upon leaving school, Peter wasn’t quite sure what he wanted to do with himself. He was a skilled enough Beater to try and pursue a career in Quidditch but he didn’t think that would truly make him happy. Of course his father promptly insisted on him coming back to Chudley to help them run The Merrow, but with all of his friends shacking up together in London, Peter knew moving back home wasn’t an option. Instead he put his skills to good use and got a job working at The Leaky Cauldron as a barman until he figured out what his greater purpose was in life which he found much faster than he thought. Peter had only been out of school less than a year before PROFESSOR ALBUS DUMBLEDORE had reappeared back in his life. The boys had all seen the recent string of disappearances in the news, especially with his other friends working at The Ministry of Magic and all the talk he’d heard in the pub. Dumbledore had attributed the ongoings to one man in particular THE DARK LORD who was suspected to be building an army. Dumbledore needed people like Peter and his friends on his side and quickly brought them into the fold of his new group he called The Order of The Phoenix alongside their friends from school LILY EVANS, MARLENE MCKINNON, MARY MACDONALD and DORCAS MEADOWES.
Although Peter enjoys being part of The Order because it allows them to do what is right, he mostly enjoys being back with his friends. Peter has enjoyed growing closer to other members of their group who previously overlooked him as James and Sirius’ sidekick, Lily Evans being someone in particular Peter has grown very fond of. A talented witch, Lily offered to help Peter improve his potion making and alchemy skills and the two quickly became good friends. A kind yet quick witted witch, Peter simply enjoys her company and can often be found working with Lily around his work at The Leaky Cauldron or slipping her free butterbeers as they catch up after she finishes work. Under Dumbledore’s instructions Peter has continued to work at The Leaky Cauldron to keep a watchful eye on who comes into the alley and do a bit of digging into any suspicious behavior which he finds to be of interest to the group. A charming barman with a sight Irish twang, Peter is somewhat of a hit with a few of the witches who visit the pub, including older wizard and famed journalist RITA SKEETER who he has been known to have the odd romantic liaison with from time to time. Peter has a slight inclination she only gives him the time of day to get some information of him, but since his meetings with her are primarily a fact finding mission for him also he doesn’t mind all that much.

“So, Virgil. Are you going to prom?” Roman casually asked before popping a french fry in his mouth.
“Um, I don’t know. I wasn’t planning on it.” Virgil absently dipped a chicken nugget into the pool of ranch on his tray. He really hadn’t thought about prom that much. Plus, the thought of a whole bunch of his peers stuck in one room together, probably grinding with their respective dates, was not a pleasant one.
“Awww, kiddo! You should go! You could come with us; we’re going to grab dinner and everything,” Patton whined.
“I mean, I guess?” Virgil grimaced as he weighed the options. “But don’t I have to rent a tux? I don’t have money for that, especially not after what happened on Monday. I’d be surprised to find my credit card still working with all of that in mind.”
Logan jumped into the conversation. “You would have to rent a tux, yes, but the three of us would be more than happy to help cover your expenses. We value you as a member of our friend group, and we wouldn’t exclude you from something just because you couldn’t afford it.”
Virgil opened his mouth to argue, but Roman interjected, “Dude, seriously. Just let us do this for you. It’ll be fun!”
“Plus, Ro already bought you a ticket,” Logan added and held out a small slip of cardstock. Westview Junior Prom.
Well, Virgil Thomas was now going to prom.
---
“Hey, Pat? Can you help me with my tie?” Virgil called from his bathroom. He had been struggling for the past five minutes trying to figure out the witchcraft behind ties, and he still had zero clue as to what he was supposed to be doing.
“Be right there, kiddo!” It was only a few moments before soft footsteps could be heard approaching, and Patton walked into the bathroom. He’d already mostly finished getting ready sans the fact that his hair was a catastrophic mess. Virgil could guess that he’d been trying to fix it when he’d been called into the other room.
“Alright. Work your magic,” Virgil smirked. In a matter of seconds, Patton had looped and pulled the tie into place, gently tightening it around Virgil’s neck. It was deep purple, picked out specifically because of his dislike of most other colors, and it went very well with the blues and reds of the others’ ties. The tie also matched the freshly dyed purple hair that Roman had forced his three friends to do along with him earlier that afternoon. What an ass.
Virgil admired his reflection. “Dude, what the fuck? How did you do that?” He felt oddly confident in his skin. The same feeling had come about a few times since he’d met Patton, and he had to admit that it was nice. Pat’s happy-go-lucky attitude somehow perfectly meshed with Virgil’s own doom-and-gloom one, forming a hilariously compatible friendship.
Patton smiled and ruffled Virgil hair, much to the other’s dismay. “Now that I helped you, will you please fix my hair.”
“Ugh, fine.”
“I mean it, Virge! Look at this.” Pat ran his fingers through his hair and aggressively tugged when he reached a clump of knots.
“Okay, yeah, we’re fixing that right now.”
---
“Dinner? Really, Patton? You guys couldn’t have told me about this before?” Virgil whined as the four walked into the diner. Yes, a diner, which meant that they were ridiculously overdressed; every other patron was wearing some sort of flannel and jeans combo. It smelled great, sure, but it was so unexpected that he couldn’t help but feel on edge.
“It’s our favorite restaurant,” Logan explained. “We always come here before school events. Roman has coined it as some sort of weird ritual, but it’s mostly tradition.” He led Virgil to the booth that Patton and Roman had already rushed to sit in.
“Plus, we’re friends with the staff,” Ro started with a smile. “You’ll love them; they’re all super nice. Speaking of, here comes Emilia.”
A young lady with brown hair walked up to their table, pulling out her small notepad. “Well, who do we have here? Another addition to our little group of customers of the month for every month since 2014?”
“Hey, Emilia!” Patton said. “This is Virgil; he’s a new friend of ours. He’s been living with me for a few weeks while his dad is out of the country on business.”
“That’s sweet, Patton. Now, what can I get for you guys?”
The three regulars spouted off their orders, clearly versed in what they wanted to eat. Suddenly, all eyes turned to Virgil. He’d barely been able to look over the menu in the time the others had taken to order.
“Uh… I… Um…” He stuttered. Every drop of intelligence that he had in his body was gone in an instant, and he was left a bumbling mess.
“He’ll have a cheeseburger and fries, thanks,” Patton cut in, saving his friend from any further embarrassment.
“Alright! I’ll be back in a few with your food and a pitcher of water!” Emilia gave the boys another smile before she walked back behind the counter to tend to other customers. Almost immediately, Patton and Roman launched themselves into a fast paced discussion about the upcoming festivities. Virgil, unsurprisingly, not only felt anxious, but he also felt like a complete idiot. He was just ordering dinner--there was no reason for him to have been so freaked out.
Virgil felt a hand rest on his left shoulder, turning to see Logan with a worried expression etched on his face. “Are you okay? Do you need to step outside for a moment to regain composure? I’d be willing to go with you if you don’t want to be alone.”
“Uh, no. I’m okay. I’m just a little worried. I mean, this is my first proper school event in, like, ever, and it’s freaking intimidating. You guys go to these things multiple times a year?” Virgil ran his hands through his hair, distressed.
“I understand. When Roman and Patton first made me come with them to homecoming, I was so nervous that I nearly passed out on the way here. Thankfully, I wasn’t driving us everywhere back then otherwise that would’ve ended in a disaster.” Logan gave Virgil a small smile, adding to the tiny--yet slowly growing--list of his outward displays of emotion. Virgil knew Lo wasn’t an emotionless android, but Roman and Patton were so all over the place that someone needed to play the calm and collected one.
“They can be pretty intense,” Virgil commented with a smile at the enthusiastic conversation across the table from them. Both of the teens were grinning and flinging their hands around in wild gestures, barely avoiding impact.
“Yeah, they sure can.” Logan glanced at the other side of the table with a fond expression, but he quickly snapped out of his reverie. “Don’t worry about the dance. Oh, here!” He pulled a pair of earbuds out of his inside jacket pocket and held them out to Virgil. “It gets pretty loud at these dances. I’ve observed that you put on headphones when it gets too noisy, so I brought these just in case you didn’t have your own.”
Virgil pocketed them just as Emilia finally returned with their food. The other three immediately began to dig in while he hesitantly poked at his burger. He picked up a fry and lazily popped it into his mouth.
He picked at his fries for a few minutes, but he eventually worked his way up to taking a bite of his burger. “Holy shit! This stuff is great--wait, why haven’t you taken me here yet?”
“I was trying to ease you into our friend group, so I thought eating dinner at my house would save you some unnecessary interaction,” Pat explained. “Obviously, that was a crime against your taste buds.”
“Of course it was, Patton. Depriving anyone of this blessed food is practically a war crime!” Roman dramatically stated, throwing out his arms. Virgil snorted at the theatrics.
They continued to eat, and all but Virgil had finished their dinner when Emilia returned to their table for dessert orders. Logan ordered a slice of pecan pie for himself, a chocolate lava cake for Roman, a hot fudge sundae for Patton, and a caramel shake for Virgil. Patton, of course, began to spout off a review of all of the desserts they’d ordered, even though Virgil wouldn’t be eating most of them. They all listened politely, not really absorbing any of the information, until their orders arrived. Within a nanosecond, Pat’s face was stuffed full of vanilla ice cream and fudge sauce, easily and efficiently shutting him up.
They ate in near silence, save for the “light” discussion of whether cake or pie was better (Patton eventually had to cut in when Roman threatened Logan with a butterknife). Pat covered the whole bill once they’d finished, claiming “it’s my way of thanking you guys for putting up with my shenanigans.”
---
“Three, two, one!” Roman dramatically counted as he threw the doors to the venue open. Time seemed to freeze as the four friends stepped in; all eyes snapped to them. It had been days since they’d been the topic of gossip at school, but that didn’t mean the student body had lost their interest in the boys.
Roman was at the front of the group, confidently striding to the grand staircase and adjusting his red tie. Logan followed close behind, who looked absolutely stunning in the sharp suit and deep blue tie. Then was Patton, who was marveling at the cascading flower vines and glittering fairy lights. And last but certainly not least…
Virgil. He had a wary smile on his face, shoving his hands deep into the pockets of his slacks. The boy made absolutely sure that he didn’t get lost; he kept eyes on Patton the entire time they descended the stairs.
Logan had been right; it was fucking loud. People were screaming left and right, and the music was so loud that Virgil could feel every beat vibrate in his chest. He was lucky that he’d put the earbuds in before they’d arrived, or he never would have stepped inside the venue.
Patton turned around to check on Virgil, obviously sensing the tension building in his friend. He held out his hand for Virgil, who hesitated for just a moment before gently taking it. If people wanted to believe they were together, that wasn’t his problem. It was no skin off his back.
They talked and danced for what felt like hours, and Virgil even joined in on a few of the dances he knew. He was having fun. He smiled and laughed, and it was all genuine! In just a few short weeks, Patton had actually transformed him from a suicidal nightmare into someone who found joy in life. It was a stupid sentiment, and he knew it, but it still brought Virgil a bit of warmth in his chest.
The DJ announced a slow dance. Ugh, how awful. He had nobody to dance with; it was just—
Oh.
Patton tugged Virgil’s hand lightly, pulling their bodies closer together. “Wanna dance? We don’t have to, of course, but it would be a fun first experience for both of us!”
“I—Uh, sure,” Virgil mumbled, trying to hide his gently growing blush. Pat gently guided Virgil’s hands around his neck and placed his own on Virgil’s waist. For the first time, Virgil noticed that he was just an inch or so taller than his friend. Reveling in the warmth and closeness, the two swayed together to the gentle rhythm.
The song ended, and Virgil stepped back, shoving his hands into his pockets. He was extremely grateful that the low light hid his pink cheeks. The screaming resumed as couples broke apart, and early 2000s rap boomed out of the speakers.
And then just like that, Virgil was attacked by anxiety. His hands started shaking, and he rushed away from the small group he was in, mumbling something about going to the bathroom. He calmed slightly when he had made it outside, where he simply collapsed to the ground, but then his panic picked up again when he realized how fucking alone he was always going to be.
Nobody would love the weird guy who rushes out on social gatherings for no fucking reason! Why should they? Virgil had nothing to offer; he was just a guy who had snark to rival Roman and barely two cents to his name.
Tears streamed down his face, running in dark gray streaks as they mixed with his black eye makeup. He could feel his chest heaving, but little air actually made it into his body. Everything was working overtime yet nothing actually happened. Virgil stayed sobbing on the ground. Nothing. Changed.
“Virge, honey? Do you need me to call my mom and have her pick us up?” Patton slowly lowered himself next to Virgil, talking softly so that he woudn’t stir up anything worse.
“N-No! I’ll… I’ll… Fuck!” Virgil cried as he ripped the earbuds out of his ears. He threw the cord a few feet away, instantly regretting it as the sound of shattering plastic reached his ears. He’d have to buy Logan new ones. He couldn’t afford to replace them.
“Goodness gracious, Virgil. It’s okay. I’m going to call Logan, and we’re going to get you out of here—“
“I-I-I don’t… want t-t-to… ruin… night…” Virgil sputtered. He was having trouble pushing the words out; all of them got stuck in his throat.
Patton carefully began to comb through Virgil’s hair with his fingers in an attempt to soothe the attack. “Don’t worry about that, kiddo. There isn’t much more fun to be had, anyway. We still love you—I still love you.”
That’s it. That’s what he felt. Love. He loved Patton.
All of the impulse control he had—though, truthfully, there was very little to begin with—left his body. He reached out and brought Pat’s face to his own, lightly kissing him. Patton stiffened for a fraction of a second before relaxing into the kiss. They were both going to regret this later, but what did that matter in the moment?

Against the Odds - Chapter VIII
Emilia Alexandra Dawson,
MASTERLIST (mobile)
(previous chapter)
Warnings: FLUFF, mentions of sex, swearing, the usual stuff
Chris walked up to me angrily, holding a cigarette and breathing loudly. “Are you happy with what just happened? Cause I’m not. You just cost us weeks of work, because of your inexperience and incompetence. Honestly, why would they sent us some incompetent rookie, I have no idea.” He brought the cigarette to his mouth. I looked over to the window and the shattered glass around it.
“Fuck off, I did what had to be done and it’s not my fault the suspect got away. Maybe you should work on your surveillance techniques, Mr. I-know-it-all.” I snapped, grabbing a laptop of the desk and walking away.
“Cut!” Sam shouted as I escaped the camera shot. “I loved that, guys. Let’s take 5 minutes off, alright?”
I took off the high heels my character supposed to wear for the scene. I leaned on the wall and closed my eyes. It was around 10 pm and we have been filming since 6 am. I was barely able to stand on my feet properly. As I sat down on the nearest chair, Chris was talking to Sam about the next scene we were supposed to film, which was a kissing scene.
We have been staying in London for a month now and we have nearly finished filming. We were actually staying at my family home, which seemed like a dream come true for Chris and my Mum, because it seemed like they had become the best friends in the world. Also, my Mum fell in love with Dodger, so even if we were home, we didn’t get to walk him much.
Chris brought me a cup of tea and sat beside me. “I can’t believe we’re nearly finished,” he sighed, taking a sip of his coffee. “Our third movie together.”
“Well, we still have the most fun scenes to do, though,” I said, referring to the kissing scenes and one sex scene we still had to do. "Why did the author had to add a romantic plot?”
“Are you saying you don’t want to kiss me and pretend to have sex with me?” Chris asked, pretending to be hurt.
I sighed, pretending I was making up my mind. “I meaaan,” I started. “I think, I’d prefer to actually have sex with you, without the audience.”
He furrowed his brows. “Aren’t you the reason there were photos of us almost fucking in the club two weeks ago?”
“Yeah, you looked so good in that shirt.” I remembered. “It’s actually your fault, if you really think about it.”
Words couldn’t describe how much I’ve missed spending time with Amy, Mary and Sophie and now we were getting to see each other a few times a week. Tonight, we all went out to one of my favourite clubs, which doesn’t play techno music, but a mix of 90’s, 00’s and modern hits. I was so, so excited to finally be back for a longer period of time than just a few days.
We went out as four couples. I was happy that Chris got along with the girls’ boyfriends. But I shouldn’t be surprised – he gets along with everyone who’s not an idiot.
I went to the dancefloor with the girls, while the guys got us drinks and sat at the table talking. I wanted Chris to come dancing with me, but the other guys didn’t want to dance yet so he stayed to talk to them and said he’d join me later.
I danced like a freak, singing along to every single fucking song, making sure my throat was sore tomorrow. We all went crazy, having not seen each other since April. At some point, Chris joined us, but he just wanted to say that we’ve been dancing for over an hour and our drinks have been at the table for some time.
We moved and sat there. I sat on Chris’ lap, because the way he looked tonight was just incredible. I sipped my mojito, talking about everything that has happened. “You should visit us as soon as we go back to LA, we’re throwing a housewarming party.”
“Yeah, 6 months after buying it.” Chris laughed.
“Shut up.” I said, covering his mouth. “We already had Chris’ friends from Boston over and the house needed a professional cleaning team after they left.”
“That’s because seven 30-years old Bostonians is too much even for such a big house.” he explained. Chris seemed to feel very comfortable around the guys, because they weren’t that much younger than him.
Chris and I went to the dancefloor. I grabbed his shirt and slipped my hands underneath it to rub his muscular stomach. “God, I wanna fuck so bad.” I whispered into his ear, before Chris spun me around.
“You’re gonna have to wait,” he grinned. “Because I wanna dance.”
He was so fucking lucky, because Earth, Wind & Fire came up and we just went into a state of trance. I was thankful for a boyfriend who’s a very, very talented dancer who actually likes to dance, so we can have fun together. There’s honestly nothing he does wrong.
“I find romance when I start to dance in...” he sang into my ear.
“Boogie wonderlaaaand!” I screamed into his face.
Chris laughed loudly, leaning back. “Voice of an angel.”
I wrapped my arms around his neck and gave him a quick kiss. “Don’t be rude.”
The next song was I Want it That Way and it was all I could ask for. “You are my fire,” I sang. “the one desire.”
We moved to the song's rhythm, just looking into each other's eyes and smiling. It was my favourite song on the planet and I was dancing to it with my favourite person on earth. It was all I could as for.
We came back to our table and the others left. I kept looking at Chris and admiring how fine he was looking in his outfit. I put my legs over his and let him rub my bare thighs. I leaned in to reach his neck and attached my lips to his skin right below his beard. I sucked on the spot, surely to leave a mark. I creeped my fingers up and down his torso. Chris put his hand on my cheek and turned his head to connect our lips. He first bit my upper lip, running his tongue over it, then slipped it inside to massage over mine. “Come ‘ere.” He mumbled and pulled me up to sit on his lap. I felt his hands travel from the small of my back to my butt.
Even after a few drinks there was this thought in the back of my head that someone might be watching, so I twisted my head in the way that my hair covered up our faces. My hand reached down to gently rub my palm against his crotch. “Em, you’re playing a very dangerous game...” he mumbled against my lips.
“Babe, if I remember correctly, you were equally involved in that make out session,” I pointed out. “Let's bring the same spirit to the scene in a few minutes.”
The scene was actually taking place in a car. Our characters are following a suspect in a case. We park the car near a building he enters and wait for his next move.
My character is a newly recruited MI5 agent who’s working her first case, while Chris is a experienced FBI agent, who hates the fact that he got paired with a newbie. The characters are having a conversation in the cars as the suspect notices them.
“He’s looking at us,” Chris said. “He noticed the car.”
I closed the laptop and shoved it under my seat. “Do you think he can see the inside of the car?”
“I can barely see the outside,” he mumbled and added after a moment. “He’s coming our way.”
I acted like I was trying to come up with a solution and started undoing the few top buttons of my shirt. “What are you doing?” Chris asked, confused.
“We're just a couple, snogging in the car.” I stated, moving my legs to rest on both sides of his thighs.
“Ok, cut!” Sam yelled. “Are you guys ready to do the scene today? We could wrap this part today.”
“Obviously,” I said. “No problem.”
Chris nodded. “Yeah, yeah.”
A part of the crew disappeared somewhere. Only a few people were allowed to be present during kissing and sex scenes, the essential crew members.
Chris sucked in his breath as I placed my lips on his. I’ve done a few kiss scenes, but we always come up with ways to just make it look like a kiss. But now, we went crazy. We had been having fun on the set and kissing was the only thing even more exciting.
We were supposed to start off like we were pretending to kiss and then really get into it.
He pushed my body against his as I tangled my fingers into his hair. “Can you see him?” I asked, not opening my eyes.
“Don’t care.” Chris breathed into my lips.
Somebody knocked on the window and we pulled away.
Sam interrupted and ordered to move the camera. We were supposed to talk to the actor playing the suspect, pretending we were just making out on the parking lot. And then, keep kissing after he leaves.
After we wrapped for the day, Chris and I left the set. In a few days we had to finish the movie by filming some more indoor scenes. Including a sex scene.
“Hey, how about we fly somewhere for the weekend?” Chris suggested, checking something on the phone, while I was driving. “I’ve never been to Scotland, that sounds nice.”
“Oh, sure,” I agreed. “We could leave Dodger with my Mum, but only if we go hiking.”
We pulled up in front of my mum’s home and noticed my dad’s car. “Oh, God. My dad’s here with his side chick and their offspring.”
“Harriet is my age.” Chris stated.
I raised my eyebrow. “So young,” I looked up at him. “There’s people in this world who are over 100 years old and you think you’re old.”
He took my hand and we went inside. All three of them were sitting in the living room with Leo on Harriet's lap. I really didn’t understand how they could get on so well, when the evidence of infidelity was sitting there with them. Harriet didn’t fancy my mum, but no one really cared. At least I didn’t.
“Mum, we are going to Scotland for the weekend.” I said, picking up Leo. He was almost two years old and incredibly cute. He was constantly smiling sweetly, especially when he saw me.
“Oh, that’s nice,” she said. “Chris, have you ever been?”
“No, no, that’s why I suggested,” he smiled as I sat on his lap with Leo playing with my phone. “We’ve been stuck in London for some time now, so I thought we could take advantage of the weekend off we got.”
My dad nodded. “That’s a very good choice.” They seemed to have had spoken more since we arrived here. I guess my dad just realized how cool Chris is.
We took Leo for a walk to the park, bringing Dodger along with us. We put Leo into a swing for smaller children and Chris pushed him gently, making my little brother giggle. “I can't believe my father and I are dating people who are the same age.”
“Stop thinking about it,” Chris sighed. “The only reason you can’t let this go, is because it’s your father we're talking about. I have younger half-siblings too and my dad has a new wife. It was hard in the beginning, but you get used to it.”
I leaned on the post next to me and watched Chris play with Leo. “Why are you always right?” I asked.
Chris laughed and lifted Leo up. “I'm not. I mostly talk bullshit.”
I sat down on the ground next to Leo, who chose to play with one of his toys now. I scratched Dodger behind his ear as Chris played with my brother. “You look good with kids,” I stated.
“We're on the same intellectual level.” He joked.
I walked up to them and placed my hand on Chris’ head to run my fingers through his hair. “We should get going, it’s almost his bedtime.”
Chris leaned his head against my legs, his hand creeping up my calf. “Could it also be bedtime for us? I got kind of excited during our car make out session.”
“My parents and Harriet will still be downstairs, Evans,” I noted. “But sounds interesting, we'll see what I can do.”
“Yess.” He cheered under his breath.
I carried Leo home and Chris pushed his stroller and held Dodger’s leash. When we arrived, my dad and Harriet were about to call us.
“We should go,” Harriet said, taking Leo from me. “He’s probably tired.”
I helped my mum clean the room after our guests, while Chris booked our plane and hotel. Mum decided to go out with her friend, because she didn’t have to be early at work tomorrow. “I’ll give you guys some privacy.”
“No, Mum, that’s fine,” I assured her. “We're leaving tomorrow, we can spend the night together.”
“I need this, Emily,” she said. “I don’t like Harriet and I’m not as fine with all of this as I’m claiming I am.”
“Oh, Mum... You should have told me.” I hugged her. “Go get drunk.”
She smiled and soon went upstairs. I joined Chris on the sofa and sat next to him. He was closing up on the booking site. “So, where are we going?” I asked.
“Inverness,” Chris read. “It looked cool in the photos. Also, it’s close to the Loch Ness lake which is exciting.”
“Romantic.” I raised my eyebrow. “My mum will be leaving in a while, by the way.”
Chris turned to look at me, rapidly. “You’re kidding,” he whispered. “You didn’t throw her out, did you?”
I rolled my eyes at him. “What kind of a daughter do you think I am, Christopher? Keep it up and we'll actually go to bed with no sexy times.”
“Oh, come on,” he nudged my shoulder. “I want you to sit on my face tonight.” He whispered, putting away the laptop.
I opened my mouth, not knowing what to say. “You’ve been very vocal about the things you want to do with me lately,” I noted, setting my chin on his shoulder. “I can’t wait to see where this brings us.”
“I hope it’s road head,” he said and I burst into laughter.
“You're a reckless driver without your dick in my mouth, so I wouldn’t count on it.”
“Oh, come on,” Chris whined. “I'm an excellent driver.”
“You got 3 speeding tickets over the course of a year.” I told him, before placing the palm of my hand dangerously close to his crotch.
Chris hissed in response, looking down at my hand. “You’re playing a dangerous game, princess. I can either eat you out and then fuck you or just fuck you against the wall as soon as your mom leaves.”
I shrugged, placing my lips on his neck and gently sucking on a spot right below his beard. “Win-win.” I murmured and reached for the laptop to put back on his lap. “In case my mum comes downstairs.” Chris smirked as I opened his fly and pushed my hand inside. I knew we would be alone in a few moments, so I wanted him to be a bit worked up. I moved my hand up and down his clothed shaft. Chris’ mouth opened slightly as I slipped my hand into his boxers. “You like it?” I asked quietly
“That’s a stupid question,” He murmured and reached to my chin to pull my head to face him. He captured my lips with his, biting on my upper lip. “I want you so bad.”
As if she heard us (I hope not), I heard my mum approach the stairs, so we readjusted ourselves on the sofa and watched her put her coat on. “You kids have fun and don’t stay up too late.” she said, opening the door and leaving.
“We'll leave the door open!” I shouted to her.
Chris wasted no time waiting and stood up immediately, lifting me up bridal style and running upstairs and shutting the door to my bedroom behind us.
Next day, we had just got to the hotel from the airport and we were driving from Iverness to Drumnadrochit, where it’s apparently the best view of the lake. Also, there’s a medieval castle. Chris was really excited, because he barely ever gets to do some sightseeing.
We stepped out of the car on the parking lot. Chris seemed surprised that there were so many people there. “It's the most popular Scottish landmark, what did you expect?” I said, grabbing his hand and walking to the castle.
“Well, I thought it would be less crowded since we're off season.” He shrugged, putting on his sunglasses.
“It’s not crowded, Chris,” I looked around, noticing only a few groups of people. “The only empty places now are the stops we passed on the way.”
“Yeah, we should've stopped there,” he muttered.
I furrowed my brows, not understanding why would he want to be completely alone with me around the lake. “Do you want to dive into the lake and look for the monster or something?” I asked. He laughed and pulled me in the direction of the castle. Chris got really into the whole sightseeing thing and took a million photos, mostly of me (walking up the stairs in front of him) and some selfies in which I also was included. We asked one old German lady to take a picture of us with a view of the lake behind us. He then sent the photo to the OG6 group chat and captioned: “Found the Loch Ness monster.” I only found out about it, because my dear friend Robert saw it and texted me immediately, saying: “I’d dump him into the lake if I were you.”.
“I’m not talking to you, Evans,” I said, after I closed the boot of our car and proceeded to walk on a marked path around the lake. Obviously, we weren’t going to circle around it, but I did want to find some nice spots for some photos.
Chris knew I was joking, but still tried to make up for what he wrote. “But you’re my monster, you know.” He wrapped his arm around my waist. “I love my pretty monster.”
I rolled my eyes at him and looked around the forest we had just entered. I knew Chris was already loving the country – he loved the woods, nature and the quietness it all provided, so I was glad he had suggested we come here. “You’re safe for now,” I murmured, looking up at him and giving him a wink. “But I’m gonna keep my eye on you, so watch yourself now mister, don’t try to surprise me.”
He grinned at me. “Alright.”
We were walking around, admiring the dense forest we couldn’t encounter in California or most of other US areas. Chris was wearing a plaid shirt under his jacket, so combined with his beard, he was an exact picture of a lumberjack and I loved it.
“I want a photo of you here,” He pointed at the spot I was supposed to stand on. I didn’t say anything and did what he asked me to, because I saw how much fun he was having, just walking around and taking photos.
He took a few nice shots of me in different locations, acting like a professional photographer and saying that it would be his new lock screen every time.
We found a small beach with a bench. I walked up to the spot where water touched the rocks. “Do you think there really is something here?” I asked Chris, who was walking around behind me.
“I have no idea,” he answered, his voice weirdly excited. “But if there is, I hope people never find it.”
“True.” I agreed, looking at the hills on the other side of the lake. “All animals are better off without us. I mean, if you think about Dodger – you gave him a good home, but the people who had him before you...”
“Em,” I heard Chris behind me, probably wanting another photo.
“Chris, I’m talking...” I sighed at him. “Anyway, my point is animals don’t need expensive food or accessories, they just need to be left alone...”
“Emilia.” He tried to get my attention again.
“Chris, why can’t you...” I said and turned around to see him a few feet away from me. On his knee. Holding an open black velvet box with a ring inside. Oh my God. “You...”
“Emilia Alexandra Dawson,” he started, trying to maintain a serious tone, but I could see he was struggling. “Words cannot describe how grateful I am to God, gods, fate or whatever brought us together, for bringing you into my life. You are the most important person in my life... You are smart, intelligent, like you really are so much smarter than me and I’d probably just get lost without you next to me. I can't believe that I got to be with someone as kind and generous as you.” He took a big breath. I kept looking into his eyes which were a bit glassy right now as were mine. “Emilia, I can’t promise that life with me will always be a fairy tale. After all, I’m a Gemini.” I smirked lightly. “But you know I’ll always respect you and love you. Last year, exactly last year, when we separated... My life fell apart and I never want to be away from you again.” he hesitated a bit and inhaled. “Which is why I’m asking you to be my wife. Will you do me this honour and spend the rest of your life with me? Will you marry me?”
It took me no time to start nodding furiously fast. “Of course, yes,” Chris stood up and took my left hand and placed the ring on my ring finger. I didn’t even take a glance at it before jumping on Chris and wrapping myself around him. “I can’t believe it.”
“Me neither,” He agreed, putting his head in the crook of my neck. “I’m so happy you said yes.”
“What else were you expecting, you stupid dork?” I asked, pulling away so I could see him face. His eyes were a little bit teary and a big grin was spread across his face. “I love you, I can’t wait to marry you.” I stroked his cheek. “But you could have found a better time to propose.”
Chris raised his eyebrow. “What? Why?”
“My hands are dry and I haven’t done my manicure in months, so I can’t take a nice photo of the ring.” I said.
Chris rolled his eyes at me and whined “Come on,” and then kissed me. It was a playful kiss, we both couldn’t stop smiling. It was the happiest moment of my life. Chris bit my lower lip and then pulled away. “Let’s let everyone know, alright?”
I shook my head. “Let’s do this later, babe,” I asked. “I just wanna sit here and enjoy the moment.”
We sat down on the ground. Chris was behind me, I was sitting between his legs, leaning on his chest. The view was incredible. There were some dark clouds on one side, but they looked magical in contrast with the blue sky on the other side. I watched the small waves on the water, caused by light wind. “I love this place,” I whispered. “It’s so much better than California or New York, or even London.”
“Yeah, I’m glad we came here to do this.” Chris agreed and planted a short kiss on my temple.
“We came to Scotland specifically so you could propose?” I leaned back to put my head on his shoulder and watch him answer.
Chris sighed. “Well, I bought the ring like a week before we came to London, with the help of your friends,” he pulled out his phone and started to scroll through it. “When we came here, I was mad, because we couldn’t get enough time off to travel somewhere and I didn’t want to just take you out to a restaurant and then casually go back to your mom’s house.” He handed me his phone and showed a full group chat he had with Amy, Sophie and Mary. He would send them photos of the rings he was looking at and ask for their opinions.
“That’s incredible,” I said, scrolling through the messages. “You gave this so much thought.”
“Yeah, I mean... This is the most important day of my life now, until our wedding...” he sighed. “What do you want it to look like?”
I tilted my head back and closed my eyes. “I’m thinking... Well, I’d love it to happen in our garden, but it just wouldn’t work, will it? I have a draft of our guest list in my mind already and it’s so many people... I’d just want it to be a secluded area, with trees and grass around it... I just want it to be quiet, as small as possible...” I whispered. “I’d marry you anywhere, to be honest.”
Chris sighed and brought my left hand to his lips. “You’re making me cry,” he said planting a kiss on my hand. “Do you like the ring?”
“Of course,” I looked down at the thin band made of yellow gold, lined with small diamonds and a bigger, oval one in the middle. “It's perfect, baby.”
“Your friends said you’d prefer yellow gold, so I listened. I really should pay them back in a way, because I was hopeless without them.” He chuckled. “Anyway, how about September or October next year?”
“Um, is it the best timing for an outdoor wedding? I mean, if you don’t want it outdoor then we can negotiate, but...”
“Baby, I just want you to be happy. I know that getting married is more of a goal for me than for you and...”
“Christopher,” I interrupted him. “Do you really think I only agreed to marry you because I know you want that? Babe, I want it. So bad. You have no idea how much I enjoy the idea of calling you my husband. This makes me want the interviewers to start asking about us more, so I can just say it out loud.” Chris chuckled. “You’re a bloody prince charming. I can’t wait for our wedding. I can’t wait to have that domestic bliss with you, you know?”
“You are such a sappy romantic, just as I am.” He wrapped his arms around my neck. “Let's find the nearest date we can, alright?”
Chris took the phone from me. He switched the camera to portrait mode. We took a photo of us kissing, but with my left hand covering our connected lips and showing off the ring, which by the way, was quite heavy, and I was afraid to ask how much it cost him. “We can send this one to our friends,” He stated. “I’m so happy, I don’t think I’ll get over it soon.” He sent the photo to the chat with girls the OG6 one and to Mackie and Sebastian. We didn’t have to wait long for a response, but instead of getting a million texts, our phones blew up with calls. Scarlett called first, even though it was early in the morning in NY.
“EMILY, IS THIS REAL?” she squealed into the phone. I put her on speaker, so Chris (who was on the phone with Hemsworth) could hear her. She was so excited for us, she already wanted us to set the date for the wedding.
“Man, I know your brother will probably be your best man, but I’m giving the best man's speech anyway. Scott and I will coordinate, alright?” Mackie literally screamed. “Chris, Em, alright!?”
“Of course, man!” Chris laughed.
“Can't wait for the bachelor party!”
I immediately shot Chris a glare and raised my eyebrow. “Yeah, we'll talk about it,” Chris smiled, looking at me and kissing the top of my nose. “No strippers, though.”
When we finished talking to our friends and decided it was time to call our parents. We spent so much time talking about the engagement that we practically had half of our wedding planned.
Chris dialled his mom’s number and put her on FaceTime. “Hi, Ma!” he waved as she picked up.
“Oh, hi! Are you at the lake already? Have you seen the monster?” She asked. “Where’s Emily?”
I moved to fit into the camera and said, “Hi, Lisa,” I smiled. “We have something to tell you.”
Chris grabbed my hand and moved it closer to the camera, so Lisa could see the ring. “We’re engaged!”
His mom was shocked, happy and excited. “Congratulations, guys! I’m so happy for you.” she cheered. “Have you told your siblings yet?”
“No, we texted our friends and spent an hour on the phone with them,” Chris explained. “We didn’t think it would blow up like that.”
“Well then, make sure you call Emily's parents and then the rest,” she said. “I’m so happy for you guys and can’t wait to see you!”
We then called Chris’ dad and my parents. My mum was surprised and, as it turned out, Chris had asked my dad for his permission, so he knew about everything, apart from when exactly Chris was going to propose. My brother gave Chris their blessings and said that they were also looking forward to their speeches. We’re gonna have to hold a 24-hour reception to fit in all these speeches.
“So, I guess we need to start planning a wedding.” Chris sighed. “That doesn’t sound as fun as just being your husband.”
“My husband,” I repeated. “I like the sound of it. We really have to get married as soon as possible.”
“They’d never forgive us if we eloped, right?” Chris smirked, stroking my hand.
“Yeah, we’d be banned from all family occasions and parties.”
“But also, if we have a big wedding, we can play our favourite music at the reception.”
My face lit up. “Our first dance could be to I Want It That Way!” I squealed. “Oh God, Chris! The possibilities..."
We decided to head back to the car, walking hand in hand. We kept receiving congratulations from our friends and explaining how and when it happened. I couldn’t describe how happy I was to call Chris my fiancé. I was do happy he did it. It as the end of our commitment issues discussion, once and for all. “I hope you realise that I’m going into a full bridezilla mode starting today.” I informed Chris, as we entered the car.
“I should hope so,” he answered. “I don’t want you to win the Longest Engagement award a few years in a row.”
My jaw dropped and I turned to him. “Was that a The Office reference?” I asked.
“Obviously.”
“I love you so much, Evans.”

Game of Thrones: Fav characters and characters I dislike
(Long post) Kay so, today is the premiere of the final season, guess I'll do my top Ten favorite characters(it is pretty much my favorite show of all time). Show only since I have yet to read the books. If you wonder my opinion on any character not mentioned I either forgot to mention them or I didn't think they really earned a spot on the lists. Yes I do censor things in this a bit buuut I want my web comic to have a wider audience so yea, deal with it. (SPOILER WARNING, at this point, if ur not caught up tho, you have only yourself to blame) Liked Honorable mentions: - Melisandre - before I found out bout the necklace, I had the HUGEST crush on her. She's evil, yes, but she adds a sense of wonder and magic to the show, so I still like her character (other than that necklace scene obviously). Plus Jon wouldn't be back if it weren't for her so haters gonna hate. - Bronn- if he doesn't get his damn castle...lol I doubt I need to say why this wise cracking sword for hire is a favorite, I think most people love him. - Yara Greyjoy - Badass pirate/Viking chick on the high seas? Hell yeah! Plus I love Greyjoy armor, I don't doubt Euron will probably kill her though. - Oberyn Martell - Awesome character, the Red Viper was fierce with a spear and even moreso with his attitude. Unfortunately his pride wound up being his undoing in the end, arguably one of the most effective deaths in the series. - Tormund Giantsbane - How can you not love this absolute bro? I don't even like Brienne and I ship them. Geniune badass. - Jorah Mormont - Lord of the Friend zone, his loyalty makes him one of my favs, not top ten tier though - Petyr Baelish: The events of Game of Thrones wouldn't have happened without this slimy bastard. He was smart and cunning (which made him fun to watch) and though his death was cool, the build up was kind of weak (weird Sansa/Arya storyline) Favorite characters: 10.) Ned Stark - Everyone's original favorite character, his death cemented that GOT wasn't f*ckin around. I mean, damn, still a brutal death scene to watch to this day. Props to Sean Bean for making his so awesome. He was honorable to a fault in a dishonorable world. 9.) Ramsey Bolton - Kay, so I might get some flack for this one, but he was a great bad guy. I mean he was legit terrifying and despicable! Made the Battle of the Bastards have an entirely different level of intensity than most of the battle scenes. Dude was an absolute monster, but unlike another widely disliked villain, this psycho got his own hands dirty instead of beckoning others to. His death scene was poetic but I kinda wanted it to be gorier. (I'm an edgelord though) 8.)Jon Snow - Awesome character, obviously I dig him, so why so low on the list? Honestly, there's characters I like more. But he's still really cool, definitely has the best fight scenes of any of the characters. WE BETTER SEE GHOST THIS SEASON THOUGH!! Lol things are gonna be hella awkward when he finds out Dany is his aunt, yet we still root for them as a couple...that's wincest for you hurr hurr hurr hurr (sorry) I could see him living in the end cus tbh killing him again would be repetitive BS. 7.)Tywin Lannister - Kay...so he died on the sh*tter (imo probably the worst place to die) AND he was an absolute d*ck to Tyrion...but dude, he was awesome. He literally has a song about him in the world of GOT that is used as a warning to others to not f*ck with him!! He took a house that was laughed at and turned it into one of the most feared houses in all of Westeros. That is pretty frickin cool. 6.) Cersei Lannister - Another one I'll get flack for but whatever lol She's cool! So what she shags her brother and is an awful human being? She's a badass! Did you SEE how she blew up all of her enemies in the court and solidified her queen status in one fell swoop? That was dope!! She's vile but very entertaining to watch. RIP the Tyrells. Probably gonna get choked out though by her brother like Maggie the frog predicted. (By my second favorite character no less) 5.) Daenerys Targaryen - Dany! One of my cats is named after her! I love this character. The dragons are amazing, she's cute, she's powerful, maybe a little insane cus of Targaryen madness, and she's overcome some amazing odds. Her storylines could be a little meh in the grand scheme of things but Emilia Clarke's portrayal has made a character that we really root for. I suspect she'll die personally by the Night King buuuuut we'll see. 4.)Tyrion Lannister -Tyrion's writing has gone down a bit in recent seasons but still, most people's favorite Lannister. His quick wit and resilience make him a solidified favorite. Still seems like the person you'd most wanna drink with. I'd be pretty damn surprised if he bit the dust. 3.) Arya Stark - My other cat is named after her and there's a good reason why, SHE'S BASICALLY BECOME A FREAKING FACE STEALING NINJA!!! She was always likeable and I think I've enjoyed almost every storyline she's been a part of (excluding her main one last season) Maisie Williams is a great actress and I hope to see more of her in the future. I doubt Arya will die, but based on that one trailer, things do seem rather bleak for her. Who knows...maybe GRRM wants a divorce... 2.) Jaime Lannister - Yes. This dude is my favorite Lannister. In case you couldn't tell, Lannister is my favorite house. He's really had the best redemption arc in the series. He went from a character I disliked to my second favorite. I predict he will be the one to kill his sister, what happens to him after that, idk. It'll be awkward when he meets Bran again though... 1.) The Hound (Sandor Clegane) - CLEGANEBOWL BETTER HAPPEN!! Kay so... admittedly I screamed like a little freaking girl when this character came back. He... HE'S JUST SO FREAKING COOL!! Admittedly being a 6 footer and a rather grumpy individual, I probably relate to him more than I'd like to admit. Probably will die, but as long as he fights his brother, I'll be a very happy edgelord. Characters I dislike: 10.) Sansa Stark - Kay so I just...I dislike her, I never liked her. I feel sorry for her, sure. She's gotten better over time, sure. I still see her as very entitled and kinda whiny/bratty. She'll probably die. If not I won't be disappointed, still though, not a fan of Sansa. It was cool how she killed Ramsey, tho again, do wish the scene was gorier. 9.) Robb Stark - Ned Stark 2.0 but way less cool. Nuff said. I was okay with his death in the Red Wedding. Shouldn't have made a promise you weren't gonna commit to. Even if Walder Frey is a d*ck. 8.) Catelyn Stark - She was just such a jerk to Jon Snow and Tyrion, seriously. Even moreso in the books from what I have read of them. She got on my nerves. Honestly, I don't feel like Lady Stoneheart would've added much in terms of storyline. 7.) Brienne of Tarth: I find her annoying. Sure, her fight with the hound was FREAKING COOL, but she's kinda too self righteous for her own good. Duty is her thing and all but she is really not good at holding up to her vows. Still ship her and Tormund though. 6.) Theon Greyjoy - hated this dude, then felt sorry for him, now I roll my eyes at him. Honestly, Greyjoys other than Yara are pretty meh characters. Good for him finally regaining figurative cajones. Doubt he'll save his sister though, or survive the White Walkers for that matter. 5.) Euron Greyjoy - this one is a shame cus I hear the book character is amazing. Feels like a pretty generic bad guy of the week type for a show with outstanding villains. Funny like here or there, but kinda a weak character overall. Theon will probably kill him, though I'd love to see a twist where he kills Theon. 4.) Walder Frey - Old dude that got what was coming to him, props to the guy who plays Filch, portrayed two characters who were absolutely despicable. I doubt I really have to list the ways this cowardly character was despicable. Awesome death scene though. Winter came for House Frey. 3.) Shae - Grrrr. The actual actress I feel very sorry for cus I've heard her story, but man this character. Dumb but smart enough to screw over Tyrion. For personal reasons, I really hate this character, reminds me of people I've known. 2.) Tommen and Myrcella Baratheon - Most. Useless. Lannisters. Ever. I'm a Lannister fan so you could see why I roll my eyes so hard with these two. Tommen rolled over so hard you might as well have called him a wheel. And Myrcella was just kinda there, admittedly sad to watch her death scene though (pretty much moreso because it was the only time Jaime was really able to connect with his daughter) 1.) Joffrey Baratheon - Everyone probably saw this coming. Joffrey is that kid on the playground that'd hit you, you'd hit back, they'd start crying and get you in trouble. Everybody knew that kid, I think that's why everyone hates this character so. But man, his death scene was soooo satisfying. Props to the Jack Gleason for making him so horrible. There ya have it. My opinions on GOT characters. Freaking excited for tonight's premiere!! WINTER IS HERE!!

Diary of a Junebug
Discovering new vlogs to binge on
etherealkimonostar - Serena Kimura It wasn’t easy but I’ve watched all her videos, which were very entertaining. I love watching vlogs that show a say in the life because they’re interesting and fun. And since it’s about an old friend, it feels like I’m catching up with them after years of not keeping in touch. From juggling college and motherhood to everyday life and work life - Serena was the kind of person who never led a dull life. I also loved seeing Selene grow up from a giggling baby to a mischievous toddler to an energetic and precocious kid. I feel like I really got to know her, Andrea, and Selene as well as her other friends and family.
Her last video was a cute and silly Q&A with Selene a couple days before the Crystal Shadows attacked. I put off that video for as long as possible by going back to her earliest vlogs and watching them chronologically. Finally I mustered up the courage to watch it and it was bittersweet knowing what would happen a few days later. The video serves as a reminder how life can change without warning.
Watching these vlogs make me miss Serena even more. At least she lives on in these videos, moments recorded on camera for all to see.
Lavi Dreams - Lavender Li Lavi has become such an inspiration for me. I love her Get Real With Me type of vlogs and learning about things like the law of attraction and good vibes. She also talks about subjects like mental health and ethics, and it’s clear that she does her research well when talking about touchy subjects like those. I love listening to her talk about various subjects because she always has something interesting to say and I enjoy learning new things from her.
Lavi also has a lot of great journaling videos, which was the main reason why I followed her at first. I love her journal with me videos because they’re so entertaining to watch. Her art is so free and loose, giving it an organic feel unlike most journaling vloggers who can be a bit too perfect when making a layout. I like how her bullet journal layouts are unique and a bit unconventional so that makes watching the process more fun.
She also co-hosts a podcast called Talking in Circles, which is a must-listen. It’s kinda like an extension of her blog but featuring guest speakers who converse about various topics.
PlayerPlayer - Ami & Kimmy I don’t watch that many Let’s Play type of channels but my go-to is this one. Pretty much all the games I wanted to watch a playthrough for - PlayerPlayer has it. What’s interesting is that they upload one version with commentary and another without it - they’re basically the same video but one’s without voiceover. They’ve got a huge library of games and thanks to them, I’ve discovered some of my all time favorites like the Wandering Traveler series, Starbright!, and City Fun.
I absolutely love Ami and Kimmy’s banter. Their playthrough for Drop the Beat is one of the the funniest videos I’ve ever seen. That game can get pretty intense so hearing Ami - who gets easily startled - freak out during the bosses while Kimmy struggles with the Turbo levels because they can be frustrating is as entertaining as the game itself. They also provide thorough reviews of the games and have a lot of knowledge about video games in general so that’s interesting to listen to.
Emilia Eats - Emilia Conrad After the success of her eclairs, I just had to check out her channel. Emilia happens to be the owner of the catering business of the same name as well as a friend of Serena and Robin’s. Along with recipe videos she does other food vlogs like taste tests and eating out. I love her enthusiasm for food and how not only she shows us how to make desserts but also how to make them look pretty. I’ve saved a bunch of other dessert recipes to try out later like her star cake, cute critters cake pops, and mini pumpkin cheesecakes.
The foodie talks are a riot to watch. I now know where that infamous Paget Hates Cilantro meme comes from. Up until then I’ve only seen clips of it so seeing the whole thing had me laughing all the way through. Basically Emilia and her friends have two of their friends try cilantro for the first time. The first one, who I now know is Andrea, gave cilantro a thumbs up. Then Paget took one bite and started screaming because she tasted soap. Part of the reason why that video went viral is because of Paget Saccone - yes the famous pop star - and that’s how the meme was born.
I have to say, it’s a shame that Emilia’s channel doesn’t have more subscribers. The top video of course is the cilantro one but everything else with worth a watch. From the recipes, to the cook and chat with friends, and learning about food - it’s one of the most entertaining food vlogs I’ve had the joy of watching.
coffeechats - Chris Luker I’m a fan of coffee shops. I also love hanging out with friends. This vlog is basically about this guy who explores various cafes around the world during his travels. So we see him hanging out with friends while exploring the city and chilling at the cafe. It’s a fun series and I love discovering new places so travel type vlogs are my go-to when I’m planning a trip somewhere. Thanks to Chris I’ve discovered some new favorite cafes in places I often visit.

I know it says “SEND ME” a fandom, but I’m bored out of my mind and I wanna talk GoT, so sue me.
The first character I ever fell in love with was probably Tyrion. I know, I know... but it was many years ago, I was young(er), and his first chapters were fun!
A character that I used to love/like but now do not: see above. Also virtually all of the show characters after season 6.
A ship that I used to love/like but now do not: I used to look forward to show!Jonerys before it became apparent that the actors had negative chemistry. Many years ago I briefly entertained the idea of Sandor or Tyrion being a sensible book endgame for Sansa, too. And Dany/Jorah, ugh. Why did I use to ship young girls with old creeps?! Geez.
My ultimate favourite character, if I absolutely had to pick one, would be... Sansa, I guess. Among all of my favourite characters she gets the most shit from fandom, so here I am, sticking up for her.
Prettiest character? Oof, tough one! Let’s start with the novels. The characters that my brain paints as the absolutely most gorgeous beings in the world (in no particular order): Cersei, Dany, Val, Arianne, Ashara, Loras, Robb. The prettiest ones on the show: Jon Snow (c’mon), Cersei, Ygritte, Missandei, Sansa, Cat, Oberyn, Dany (especially dark!Dany; the Targ imagery + her stern expression = hot). Obviously I’m not picking just ONE, don’t be ridiculous.
My most hated character: I don’t really hate anyone, but... oh, who am I kidding? It’s Tyrion. (Principally because he’s like the go-to favourite character to all the fanboys who mostly ignore all the red flags. And you know what? show!Tyrion I get, but book!Tyrion is The Worst.)
My OTP: haha, I hope it’s abundantly clear to anyone at this point that I’m terrible at picking ONE of anything really. book!OTPs: Ned/Cat, Jon/Val... aaand that’s basically it. I’m not that much of a shipper in ASoIaF books. show!OTPs: Jonsa (those damn actors and their stupid chemistry!), Jon/Ygritte, Ned/Cat, Jaime/Brienne, Jon/Tormund (wow, Jon is probably the most shippable character on the show), Sansa/Theon, Cersei/wine. My wild fandom favs/crackships/AUs etc.: Ned/Cersei, Sansa/Margaery, Sansa/Dany, Jon/Satin, Jaime/Cat, JonCon/Rhaegar, Arthur/Elia.
My NOTPs are the variations of the pattern being Young Girl/(Much) Older (And Often Abusive) Creep: Sansa/Tyrion, or Sandor, or Petyr, Dany/Jorah (especially book!Dany, because book!Jorah is The Worst Too, no wonder he and Tyrion find their way into each other’s lives), show!Jonerys, book!Jongritte, Rhaegar/Lyanna.
Favourite episode: majority of seasons 1&2. (Favourite book: the infamous Feast for Crows, because Cersei’s chapters are pure gold.)
Saddest death: I got pretty much immunised with Ned’s unexpected decapitation, and after that nothing shocked me anymore, even The Red Wedding. But before that... probably Lady. (On the show: Theon.)
Favourite season: see above.
Least favourite season: probably the one starting in 2015 and ending in 2019. Horrible. Embarrassing. A waste of time. (Books: ADwD.)
Character that everyone else in the fandom loves, but I hate: will it be boring if I say Tyrion? In the show that may also be true for Dany, especially since Emilia’s acting range could never fully encompass her character’s complexity, thus I always felt sort of... unattached to show!Dany, bordering on disliking her until Emilia’s acting skills met D&D’s writing skills, which is when I fully embraced this feeling. (Doesn’t apply to book!Dany, though.)
My ‘you’re piece of trash, but you’re still a fave’ fave: Cersei! And maybe Littlefinger? I hate his creepy arse, but I love untangling his schemes.
My ‘my beautiful cinnamon roll who deserves better than this’ fave: MEERA FREAKING REED. I’M STILL SO EFFING ANGRY ABOUT THAT. Also Missandei. (In the books: Elia Martell!!!)
My ‘this ship is wrong, nasty, and makes me want to cleanse my soul, but I still love it’ ship: I don’t know if I have one, to be honest. I know that some would consider Jonsa that ship, but in my book if you’re not abusive to one another, you’re not a nasty ship, even if you’re half-siblings turned cousins. Slightly icky, maybe, but not nasty.
My ‘they’re kind of cute, and I lowkey ship them, but i’m not too invested’ ship’: Most of the book ships. Sam/Gilly. Arya/Gendry. Robb/Margaery.
Well that was fun. Thanks for suggesting GoT, me. :D
send me a fandom and i’ll tell you…

Random idea I know, but think about it: Lost Light kids AU where the kids are stray cats, and the LL Crew who are all human, took them in.
You don’t even know how they all got in. Maybe they somehow snuck in while you were planet side? But then, how did Earth Cats somehow get into deep space?
Monay is just an itty bitty Selkirk Rex kitten. She still needs to be bottle fed, and Minimus is a saint with her. She’s often found lounging on laps and being coddled by the whole crew, but she’ll only eat if Minimus feeds her.
Marie is a sweet little Ragdol kitten. She’s generally unafraid and approaches people easily. She’s easy to care for and play with and Whirl loves how she just flops when he picks her up.
An is small and timid Japanese Bobtail kitten. He likes to hide and often can’t be found unless he wants to be. He’s hard to handle, but once you gain his trust he’ won’t have a problem coming to you and sitting on your lap in the quiet. He’s often found in the movie room with Swerve.
Emilia is a pretty Turkish Angora. She likes making “biscuits” on people’s bellies when she’s relaxed and playing when she’s not. She’s sort of a loner but is always eager to come back and mow at Drift until he perches her on his shoulder.
Izzy is a gentle Birman. She’s calm and not a fan of surprises, which is why she’s often found with Rung where she helps with patients. She likes hanging out on window sills most, which often freaks out someone when they think the cat somehow got outside until they get a second look.
Brook is a happy LaPerm. He’s often running around playfully and trying to climb pantslegs. His favorite spot is in Rodimus’s jacket hood, where he either plays with his hair or naps when he finally gets all tuckered out.
Duiri is a stoic Norwegian Forest Cat. She’s often on her own, finding a perch high up and watching the room with her kind eyes. She never meows, but it’s never hard to tell what she wants. She often gives her kitty kisses from above to Lug in the workshop.
Sunan and Sanoh are both mischievous Bengals. Sunan is quieter than his sister, but both can often be found running through the halls like bats out of hell, surprising passers by with attacks to their ankles. They’ve certainly made a name for themselves, especially with Whirl who indulges their playing.
Sumaira is an Abyssian. She often watches the other kittens play, and if provoked will join in the fun herself. Despite looking aloof and noble, she’ll start play fighting and even jump on people like Velocity. But when it’s time to calm down, there’s no better cuddler.
Jedah is an American Curl. He’s lonely, often watching from a distance like Duiri, and it’s hard for him to get comfortable. Out of everyone he’s the most likely to lash out if threatened, but after some time he finally sits with the others. Especially in between Rewind and Chromedome.

Kipo And The Age Of Wonderbeasts Thoughts
i finally got around to watching this show, and i. guess i wanted to subject the world to my ramblings. so here we go!!
obvious spoilers (and a ton of words) under the cut:
characters:
overall, the characters in this show were really solid. i adored the way they interacted with each other, and the found family punched me in all the right places. sometimes a family is just a science nerd, her pet pig, an angry wolf girl, and two fun guys :'))
i do wanna talk about kipo's character more, cause i didn't always like it. i'm not the biggest fan of the "naive kid who always sees the best in everyone" trope, and that's... kind of what kipo is.
its likeable in some interactions, like with the timbercats and the mega monkey, but sometimes it felt a bit ridiculous. how could she just hug scarlemagne knowing all the awful stuff he's done just cause of his "tragic backstory", and how could she be naive enough to invite emilia to a party with pretty much all the mutes in las vistas? she really does have good intentions, but sometimes it feels pretty forced, like a way to "show" the audience what a great person kipo is.
she also seems like... way too naive sometimes. her reaction to her father telling her that they INFUSED HER DNA with a mutagen to turn her into a MEGA JAGUAR was just???? anyone else would be freaking the hell out, but she's just magically okay with it???
i really wish we'd had more episodes where she loses her cool a little bit. that kind of childish innocence is fine- she's 13, after all- but it really does take a lot to maintain it, and i wanted to see a little more struggle on that end. we did get that one episode where she tries to sink emilia's ship, but i still feel like we needed more. at the end of that episode, it felt like nothing really changed on her character's end.
but i really do like her character. i think its important to have heroes like her, who are genuinely kind and believe in the world. and even though some of those naive moments were annoying, she's a good enough character to make it tolerable.
wolf is also a really great character. i liked her from the beginning, and only grew to like her more. i did find it a little strange how she reacted to kipo being part-mute. her acting like it was a personal offense rather than just... her friend being different was off-putting. i may need to rewatch it to fully get the context, though, cause i don't remember her exact reasons. either way, her moments in all seasons were really great. her growth from a angry kid focused solely on survival to someone who learns how to love and believe in change was wonderful to see.
benson and dave- what's there not to like? they're just two kind, wholesome dudes. all of benson's moments with troy made me so stupidly happy. the fact that he says he's gay, calls troy his boyfriend, and gets cheesy advice from lio about asking him to prahm is just really sweet. dave is also just really fun. i didn't know how to feel about him at first, but he grew on me so much. perfect combination of fun guy and cranky old man.
hugo is... man. i don't really know what to think of him. on one hand, what happened to him was so fucked up, and he's a definite victim of circumstance. but on the other, his backstory reveal kinda felt like the show trying to excuse his actions. the things he did were still really messed up- the mind control, the whole aurum thing... everything. he did get captured and imprisoned after that, but even that didn't feel like enough punishment. like, kipo just makes him apologize to everyone and its just fine after a few episodes?
he's truly remorseful for his actions, i get it, but his redemption felt kind of rushed. i really wish the show had more time to expand on all of their characters- a lot of the gripes i have could be solved with more time for deeper character growth. and the fact that he just dies at the end feels so... empty. it made me sad, but at the same time, its like... really? he only got a few episodes to bond with these characters, and then he just dies like that. again, i may need to rewatch it because i don't remember a ton of bonding stuff, but... maybe there just isn't enough.
at the end of the day, though, i think he's a good character who deserved more time for redemption. his backstory, despite the "excuse" feel to it, really does justify why he turned out the way he did. and the few moments we got with him really DID set him up for redemption, i just wish there was more time for that final push.
plot:
i also think the plot was pretty solid! the storyline stayed pretty stable and didn't jump around too much, but still maintained that kids-show feel of fun adventures.
this show has really, really good plot twists. the mega monkey one was just SO satisfying. its one of those where once it happens, you can see the little clues the show gave you beforehand, and it all just falls into place in your head. it was absolutely perfect, and probably one of the best plot twists i've ever seen in a kids show.
i have two major complaints about the plot, though, and the first one is about the anticlimax. i can't forget that moment at the end of season one, where kipo is assumedly kidnapped by scarlemagne, and wolf has that whole moment where she cries and then declares she's going to get kipo back. which is great! and shows how much she's changed from being an angry loner to really caring about people! but not even two seconds later, kipo just comes flying back in? it really took away from the emotional punch of the scene, and from a great moment for wolf's character. and why even imply a plot where they're going to save kipo if she's just gonna fly back in anyway.
another bad anticlimactic moment was emilia's end. maybe i didn't pay close enough attention before, but literally where did that come from? one minute it's a huge battle between megas, and the next... fun gus is just randomly there and kidnaps her? that could've been a good moment for kipo, to show that not all people deserve that "second chance" that she's so fond of, and to show HER taking action against emilia. instead, we get a deus ex machina ending that just felt really unsatisfying and out-of-nowhere.
my second complaint is really more of a "i wish this would happen" thing- i wish the show had more time, maybe another season, to expand the emilia plot. i mean, scarlemagne pretty much lasted two seasons, and emilia is just crammed into the last one.
i think the emilia plot is far more interesting than scarlemagne's, because here we have a villain that's an actual challenge for the heroes because she has no "forgivable qualities". i also think it's more interesting because of the connection to kipo's family- especially song and kipo. not to mention that she's a pretty big reason for the series' events- her hunting of kipo, her capture of song, and what she did to hugo caused most of the plot.
this also could've allowed for scarlemagne's redemption to go more smoothly- maybe he could help the characters, bond with them more, while fighting against emilia. emilia is also the reason he suffered a lot, so it would've united him with kipo's family even more. and if they did kill him at the end of that too, it would make the "family" line feel a lot more significant.
worldbuilding:
sooo i've complained a lot more than i thought i would, but i have nothing against the worldbuilding. it's really fantastic- the mutes, the surface and burrow humans- everything is just so well explained and well made.
learning about the experimentation was really, really amazing, and also just... damn. this world is so fucked up. thats the only thought i really had about all of that. but the sequence revealing it all was great, and the lore behind the world is so interesting.
really funny how i can't think of anything to say about the part i really liked... we're moving on.
miscellaneous:
i really enjoyed all the side characters in this show! the timbercats, mulholland, the ratland rats, and all the other ones... everyone was really good and had tons of personality. even if i didn't see them too much, i'm still fond of all of them <3
i should've mentioned this in the characters part tbh, but song and lio- damn. their relationship was really sweet, as well as their interactions with others. from lio giving benson dating advice, to song trying to be a good mom for kipo, to all their interactions with hugo... they are just such parents. but i'm also not sure if they're "good people" or not. i'm still of the belief that infusing kipo's DNA so she'd be a mega jaguar is a bit... mmm? like, were they trying to turn her into a weapon against emilia? did they even know if she could transform back and forth? again, i'll have to rewatch to see if i missed their motivations... but i wish it was explored more. i still think their motivations had to be more convoluted than "haha fun science experiment".
andd another thing i should've mentioned in the characters bit- emilia. again, this goes back to me wishing the show had more time. her backstory is so twisted and interesting, and she's also a good model for "characters who don't deserve a second chance". if we could've had more of her as a main villain, really explored how her father affected her motivations and values... it would've been really cool and i'm mad about it. but uh... hey. though when she first came on screen all i could see was her karen haircut, so there really is no redemption for her.
this whole thing is just characters part 2. but uhm. my post my rules.
final thoughts:
while writing this post, i realized i had a lot more complaints than i thought. but i honestly really enjoyed this show. its pretty much everything i'm looking for in a kids show- good dynamics, solid characters, and good lessons.
while i think the way they handled some of the conflicts and characters could've been better, and while i think parts of the show were rushed, at the end, it all tied together really nicely. i think the show's messages about trying to see the best in everyone, and breaking cycles of hatred, are good ones, especially for kids.
i still feel like there's more i want to say about this show, but i can't formulate any of it, and this post is long enough already... so.
tl;dr- show good, wish it had more time/better pacing. and thats the end of that!!!
if you read this far then... sorry for subjecting your eyes to this ehhhehahe
