She's currently a junior at True Performance School of the Arts. Lucia hopes to be an acclaimed screenwriter someday, maybe also directing as well.

Her mom is Puerto Rican while her dad is Mexican.

Lucia can speak some Spanish, but is also able to follow through an entire conversation.

She has been both to Puerto Rico & Mexico during the summer as a kid. One favorite memory was when she went to a fireworks show in San Juan when she was eight.

Lucia has unofficial acting credits! Her on-screen debut was as the baby being born to her parents' characters on the telenovela Las Pasiones de Mirabel. She was also a covergirl- not exactly, but she & her parents were the cover story in People en Espanol as a birth annoucement!

Through her padrino's connections, Lucia was able to meet a few Latin celebrities including Vibora, an up-and-coming Cuban-American rapper.

Birds of Paradise are her favorite flowers!

Lucia isn't really that close with her mother's side of the family. She's confused as to why her mom & abuela won't talk too much about their family history or certain family members.

She keeps a framed photo of her abuelo (her mother's father) when he was young in her bedroom. He died when her mother was just a few days shy of her quinceañera.

Lucia has been on the set of too many telenovelas to count! She has also been her parents' date to the Paloma Awards, an annual event that awards the best telenovela actors & actresses.

She has been best friends with Leonie and America since they were all eight years old, where they all went to the same Sunday school. Lucia became friends with Remy during her freshman year of high school.

At her quinceañera, Marc Anthony performed while Leonie & America were part of her court.

Lucia is really close to her abuela. They go out shopping and they also knit, gossip, & watch telenovelas together. Her favorite activity that she likes doing with her abuela is when they make tostones and arepas!

One favorite pastime of Lucia's is reading. Sure she loves the sweet & fluffy YA contemporaries and romances that litter the back of her closet, but she also doesn't mind delving into the magical realism of latin writing greats like Isabel Allende, Gabriel García Márquez, and Julia Alvarez.

She had her first kiss when she was nine at her Communion party with a boy named Joel.

Lucia's first real relationship was with a guy named Chris Del Toro during her sophmore year. They dated for about six months before he & his family moved to Washington State.

She has a secret tattoo- a small pair of dove wings expertly hidden by her right ear. Lucia got it done a couple months ago along with Remy and America, who also got secret tattoos.

At the beginning of junior year, Lucia began crushing on Michael Bernardi, an aspiring photographer! Aside from a few smiles & brief interactions, they've never had an actual conversation.

As a baby, Lucia recieved a gold & diamond necklace with a dove charm by her father. She now almost always wears it!

She has a part time job at Sunshine Swirl, a frozen yogurt shop. The shop is in America's neighborhood, so her place is the first stop for Lucia before she goes home.

Her and her friends love the movie Mean Girls so much that they're all dedicated to wear pink on wednesdays every week till graduation!

Lucifer raises an eyebrow as he watches you and Ella interact, cracking up over inside jokes and pulling silly faces at one another. You’re both equally as energetic and enthusiastic, smiles lighting up both your faces as you go back and forth in whatever eager conversation you’re having.

You and Ella break away from your conversation as Chloe calls Ella over, and you make your way back over to your father. Shaking his head at you, Lucifer remarks, “I’m beginning to see why you and Ms. Lopez get along so well.”

“What does that mean?” you laugh, and Lucifer rolls his eyes.

“You’re practically the same person,” Lucifer scoffs, rolling up his sleeves. “I’ve never seen you so lively with anyone else!”

Dumb movies and dinner

It was Ella’s lunch break after almost all morning of working nonstop in her new case, and she’d called you in hopes of getting her mind off the case. 

“And then they bring back Superman with some weird box, I don’t know,” you finished explaining, taking a bite from your pizza slice. 

“And how did it end?” Ella asked intrigued. 

“I- I don’t know, I fell asleep,” you said. 

“Y/n! Now I’m gonna have to watch it,” she said,  playfully smacking your arm. 

As you were laughing you noticed Ella stopping and leaving her food on the table as she went to the stool next to all the case’s things.

“Hey, what did you find?” You asked approaching her. 

“Remember how I told you we couldn’t find anything in the victim’s life,” you nodded, “well, what if that was the plan… What if the company helped them disappear, like I don’t know a back door kinda thing, where they make you go away and then split the insurance money or something and…” she kept explaining it but you were lost, just nodding along. 

“Sorry, I got caught up, I get annoying when I find stuff,” she said embarrassed. 

“Uh- Not at all, I don’t think you’re annoying… I know… I really like listening to and hearing what you have to say even if I don’t get most of it,” you said. 

“Really?”

“Yeah, I mean, I don’t know half the things you said but it seems like it’s going somewhere.”

“It is, y/n. This could be huge,” she stopped in her tracks and looked at you. 

“You need to get to this right?” You asked. 

“I’m sorry,” she said.

“Hey, don’t be. I’ll leave you to it, I’m gonna go see if I find that movie and maybe we can watch it together, yeah?” You suggested.

“I’d love that,” she said kissing you. “And I love you.” 

“I love you too, babe. See you tonight.”

Drives/rides shotgun: Ella told you relatively early on in your relationship about her past as a car thief. She didn’t seem ashamed of it, but she didn’t exactly state it as a source of pride, either. It was just simply something she felt you needed to know, for whatever reason. Probably to establish a connection by just being plain honest with you. And you appreciated that. However, it didn’t occur to you that maybe, at some point in her criminal career, she might’ve acquired a taste for driving like crazy. Make no mistake, Ella had become a model citizen since those days. But it would be a lie to say that the inner speed demon in her didn’t occasionally peak out. And even though it frightened you a bit, it also invigorated you. Ella was just all kinds of exciting for you, and being able to ride shotgun with her when she just wanted to blow off some steam from a long work week did just as much for you as it did her. Sometimes, the two of you will even pretend you’re in a getaway car scene for an action movie (well, as actiony as you can be while still technically observing the speed limit and acknowledging the proper signs and stop lights). Sure, people in other cars might look at the two of you funny for fake-yelling about “coppers on your tail” or for spouting corny action dialogue, but you’ve learn long ago to stop caring as much about what people think when you’re with Ella. And even without the addition of her tempting the speed limit, it just felt nice to take drives with her. Especially on summer evenings, out to the suburbs where the air felt a little breezier without the pollution of car horns honking and tourists babbling and music thudding out of clubs on either side . . . Was it borderline hetero nonsense to hold your girlfriend’s hand while she drove? Maybe. Would you give that up? Never.

Tries to start roleplaying in bed: Ella, to your delight, amusement, and slight horror. It was never any secret that between the two of you, Ella was the more forthcoming one. Far more Type B than A, for simpler phrasing. So when the both of you began to express an interest in taking things to a more intimate level, you were a bit hesitant as to where the limitations were. Ella, on the other hand, felt no need to mince words and dance around the subject. “Hey, so what do you think about, like, a sexy thing between a human and a Vulcan experiencing Pon Farr?” she asked you one day. If anyone had seen your reaction (your eyes widened, mouth parting, toast you’d just been nibbling on dropped) and taken it at face value, they would’ve assumed that you were horrified. They also would have assumed wrong. Really, a lot of the roleplays the two of you engage in tend to be sci-fi or fantasy-driven -- and you wouldn’t have it any other way. There’s something rather thrilling about imagining you’re a Rebel spy fucking an informant for secrets, or an intergalactic traveler being seduced via “sex pollen” by a gorgeous humanoid alien. . . . Okay, so yeah, it can get kind of weird. But it works for the both of you. For one it’s a sort of interaction that demands communication, something of which you and Ella especially need to take care of due to the slight baggage she entered the relationship with. But for another on a similar note, it means the both of you can be honest with each each other about what turns the two of you on respectively. Besides, it’s nice and relaxing when the two of you come together to discuss what kooky ideas you have for the next go-round. Additionally, in an odd but endearing way, it’s helped you to come out of your shell in a sense: After all, it’s hard to turn off the confidence of a Rebel spy once you’ve tasted it. And you’re willing to bet that Ella, in some way, was aware that this would happen . . .

Brings the other lunch at work: You do. Ella works long hours at the precinct, so it’s inevitable that she sometimes needs food brought over. Usually, she packs herself something to nosh on throughout the day, but once that runs dry, she has to reach out to ordering food. Before you came along, this meant pizza deliveries and UberEats and things of the sort. And while she holds nothing against those services, it’s always a bit cheaper to just text your significant other, ask them if they can pick something up for you, and just have them bring the food in themselves. Dating you has saved her enough for her to buy a Nintendo Switch without damaging her budget! The other plus with having you deliver her lunch to her is that it gives her the chance to see you -- as stated before, the lady works some hours, so her schedule can get a bit hectic. But it always brightens her day to see you walk through that door, accompanied by a bag of her favorite food truck tacos or a box of her favorite pizza. Or just some McDonald’s. And if you’re not pressed for time or have anything else going on that day? You know she’ll encourage you to stick around and join her for a bit of late lunch. Because you know that no matter what she has you pick up for her, she’s definitely made sure that her order was large enough to accommodate two people, he big sweetie.

You walked into the precinct with a smile on your face, ready to see your beloved girlfriend. You were carrying her usual coffee order paired with her favourite baked good, a special surprise since she had been having such a rough time these past few days.

Poor Ella was reeling from an awful week at work; first, one of her friends and co-workers, Charlotte Richards, was killed, then they found out that the killer was none other than the lieutenant, Marcus Pierce, aka the world’s first murderer Cain. Not that Ella knew that, nor would she believe it if anyone told her that. Lucifer had had a hard time trying to convince the detective, Chloe Decker, that he was the devil for nearly three years. It only took her catching him with his devil face to make her believe him.

Not that you wanted Ella to know about that part of your life. Nearly three years ago, after Lucifer came to Earth, you were sent down to help your brother, Amenadiel, to convince Lucifer to go back to hell. Shortly after you had arrived, however, you had fallen in love with Earth, and with Los Angeles. And then, a few months later, you met and fell in love with Ella Lopez. You decided you wanted to stay on Earth, to have a normal, happy, human like life. Besides the whole being an immortal angel thing, but that wasn’t important until those around you started to notice that you weren’t aging.

You wanted to cheer Ella up, so you decided to surprise her at work. As you walked towards her lab, someone grabbed your arm and stopped you. You turned to see yourself coming face to face with Dan Espinosa.

“Hey Dan,” you said, trying to have a cheery tone in your voice. “How are you? I’d offer you some baked goods, but these are all for Ella.”

“I don’t want baked goods, but thanks for the offer,” Dan said. “Actually, I stopped you because...well...I just want to say to be cautious going in there with Ella. I don’t know how much time you two have been spending together recently, but she’s not exactly...at her best right now.”

You tilted your head, a little confused. You hadn’t really seen Ella since everything went down with Charlotte and Cain and Lucifer. She said she just needed some time to herself, so you decided to give her some space.

You continued to Ella’s lab and pushed the door open. Your usually perky girlfriend was incredibly doom and gloom. She was leaned over her microscope, just staring. Her ears were missing her usual headphones, the room was incredibly silent, missing the sound of her humming along to whatever she was listening to. She was wearing her sunglasses inside, something she herself had always said meant only two things: to hide a massive hangover or to hide when someone has been crying.

You approached the desk and laid the coffee and baked goods down, causing Ella to jump.

“Oh, oh hey babe,” she said, trying to force on a smile. “Sorry, I was just...just looking at some evidence.”

“I didn’t mean to disrupt your work or anything,” you told her.

“Oh no, you didn’t disrupt anything,” Ella said, waving off your comment. “You brought me coffee and muffins? That’s so sweet, thank you baby.”

She crossed around the table to give you a kiss and to take the things you had brought her. You watched her try to seem much more happy and cheery, her usual self, but you could tell she was just putting on the act for you. You slowly reached up to take off her sunglasses. She hesitated a moment, trying to pull away from you, but then stopped and let you take them off.

Her eyes were red and had black circles under them. She looked like she hadn’t properly slept in a week.

“Ella, what’s wrong honey?” you asked her. “I haven’t really heard from you all week, and you look like you haven’t slept in forever.”

“I just...I had a little too much to drink yesterday is all,” Ella said, shrugging.

“Yesterday?” you asked. “Not judging you or anything, but you got drunk on a Sunday?”

“Yeah...well...I have nothing else to do now...I um...I quit going to church.”

This shocked you. Your super faithful, God loving girlfriend, had quit going to church? That’s how you knew something was very wrong.

“What? Why?”

“Because!” Ella snapped. “What’s the point of going to church and praising a God that doesn’t even exist?! And even if He does, why would He let these horrible things happen down here? Why would He let all this death and disease and...and awfulness happen?! Our world is slowly dying, why isn’t He doing anything about it? Why would he let someone kill Charlotte?!”

You were taken back by her outburst. She looked at you for a long time, tears forming in her eyes. You took her into your arms and held her close as she cried. You shushed her and told her everything was going to be okay.

And in that moment, you decided to break the biggest rule to all of angel kind.

That night, you were waiting on the roof of Lux for Ella to arrive. Before leaving that day, you had asked her to meet you there when she got off work. She asked you why, but you decided to keep it a secret. She wouldn’t believe you even if you told her in that moment.

Your heart raced as you thought of what her reaction was going to be. You were hoping it would be a good reaction, but you remembered Lucifer’s therapist, Linda’s, reaction when Lucifer revealed his devil face to her. Although, it’s totally different to learn that you’ve been a therapist to the actual Devil and then to find out that your girlfriend is an angel. Or maybe it wasn’t, maybe Ella would freak out just like Linda did.

The more you thought the over, the more nervous you made yourself. You were debating telling her not to come and meeting her at her place instead, but when you turned around to face towards the door, you saw Ella standing there.

“Hey,” she said, a small smile on her lips. “What did you want me to meet you here for?”

Well, that was it. It was now or never. You had already brought her all the way up here, might as well go through with the plan.

“There’s something I wanted to show you,” you started. “But before I do, you have to promise you won’t freak out or anything. At least, not at first.”

Ella gave you a confused look. “Why? What are you about to show me?”

“You wouldn’t believe me if I told you,” you told her. “So just...look.”

You stepped away from her and took a deep breath. She was looking at you in confusion, which quickly turned to shock when you felt your beautiful wings unfurl from behind you.

Ella stood there for a long time, just staring at you. She didn’t speak, didn’t move, didn’t even blink. You were afraid she wasn’t even breathing for a moment. When she didn’t offer you any sort of reaction, you decided to explain yourself.

“You were questioning God’s existence and how something as awful as what happened to Charlotte could be a part of His plan. The truth is, what happened to Charlotte was completely against His plan. Charlotte was killed by the world’s first murderer, Cain, or as you knew him, Marcus Pierce. He was an awful man, he was trying to kill Amenadiel but Charlotte got in front of him to protect him.” There was still no response. “I know this is a lot, Ella, and I understand if you don’t want to be around me for a while so you can digest it all, but I just thought...you deserved to know the truth. You didn’t worship God for no reason, He exists and He hears everyone’s prayers, sometimes He just can’t answer them all. Sometimes he sends angels like me to answer them.”

Ella’s shaking hands lowered from her mouth as she reached for your wings. She stroked the soft feathers and exclaimed in shock, as if she didn’t believe that they were real. She looked at you and took your face in her hands. She pulled you to her and kissed you. You wrapped your arms and your wings around her, holding her to you.

“This is amazing,” she breathed as she looked at your wings. “I’m dating an angel! My girlfriend is an actual angel! Oh my God, I’m never going to get over this. I have so many questions, first being can you take me for a flight with those things?”

You laughed. “I can, but maybe somewhere more secluded than Los Angeles. Humans aren’t technically supposed to know about the existence of angels.”

“Right, yeah. Makes sense.” Ella nodded vigorously before starting to laugh. “I’m dating an angel! Oh my God! Wait, is that offensive?”

You laughed yourself, pulling Ella to you to kiss her one more time.

Neon lights bloomed over the horizon, bleeding through the smog with flashes of purple and pink and blue. The air creeping beneath the hotel balcony doors was cold, and the thin walls did nothing to muffle the blare of the traffic trickling through the busy streets below. 

So many things to distract you, and yet, all you could see was her.

Ella’s cheeks were flushed, her eyes even brighter than usual as she swayed her hips to the music blasting through the shitty, crackling speaker you’d snagged for five bucks online. Her hair was in disarray, tangled around her face and caught in the spaghetti straps of her red dress, as brightly coloured as the overflowing solo cup in her hand. Vodka soda spilt over the edges, clear droplets running over the smooth skin of her arm and dripping onto her dress, though the liquid didn’t steal her attention for even a moment.

“Y/N, dance with me!” she cheered, pulling you from your stupor. You bit back a smile, downing the last of your own drink before jumping up to join her. She threw back her own drink, swallowing it in a few thick gulps that left stray drops of alcohol collecting at the corner of her lips. Neither of you was drunk yet, but if you kept drinking at this rate, it wouldn’t take long.

“You know I don’t like dancing,” you half whined, and when she giggled, your heart couldn’t help but lurch. 

“Everyone likes dancing, silly!” she exclaimed, looping her arms around your neck as she pressed her body close to yours. She was warm and soft, and up close, you could see the smudge of red lipstick on her chin, smell the floral perfume clinging to her neck and wrists. Your breath caught as she rolled her hips over yours, throwing you a sultry wink as she grabbed your hands and set them on her hips. She giggled again at the look on your face, and suddenly she was kissing you. Not for the first time, and hopefully not for the last.

Ella’s lips were pillowy and soft, and you could taste the salt of her skin, the bitter tang of alcohol, and the rubbery flavour of her lipstick. She sighed contentedly against your mouth, before pulling away with a beam, her fingers combing through your hair as she pressed one last, playful peck to the corner of your mouth. Red lipstick stained your cheek, but you couldn’t bring yourself to care. Not when she was still so close to you, not while you could still taste her on your tongue, your body overtaken with a cold hollowness left by her absence as she stepped away. 

She curled her fingers with yours, squeezing your hand once before shooting you another wink.

“Come on, let’s check out some clubs, huh?” she asked breathlessly, eyes alight with fondness and excitement. “I wanna show off my gorgeous, amazing, stunning girlfriend,” she bubbled, and you couldn’t help but smile, your arms sliding around her waist to pull her in for a hug.

“Fine,” you relented, smile still toying at your lips. “But first, one more thing…”

She raised her brows, and you’d be damned if the quizzical expression curving her features wasn’t the most adorable thing you’d ever seen in your life.

“Hmm? What’s that?”

You grinned, and sealed your lips to hers.

She’d check up on you as often as she can, even if it’s just a quick phone call. She’d be very patient, and an incredibly good listener. And since you’re a friend of Chloe’s, Trixie would inevitably want to get involved and treat you as her friend, too, and she would surprise you with drawings and other crafts to try and make you smile.

Dan wouldn’t be the greatest at comforting you, but he’d try his best. He knows you’re going through a rough patch, and would probably ask others for advice on how to make you feel better. He’d try to crack some jokes to make you smile, and you can’t help but laugh at how terrible they are. If all else fails, he’d still try to keep you company, because if he can’t comfort you with his words, he’d at least make sure you’re not alone.

Ella would no doubt respond by firstly giving her one of her famous hugs, holding you and telling you how much she wishes she could squeeze the sadness out of you. Afterwards, she’d insist on doing something fun, like going out or just staying in and binge-watch your favorite show together with loads of snacks and blankets. She’d refuse to leave your side until she’d see you smile, and she’s sure you’re feeling better.

Lucifer wouldn’t suggest the healthiest coping mechanisms to deal with your sadness, mainly because he’s not the greatest at dealing with his emotions, either. He’d try going the materialistic route, surprising you with gifts to make you feel better. Deep down, you know he truly cares about you, even if he isn’t the best at showing it.

‘So,’ said Ella,leaning against the desk that I’d splayed my things across and casting acritical eye over it all, ‘this is you not working too hard?’

I sighed deeply,putting down the artefact that I’d been examining for the day. Some of itlooked real enough, but there were little discrepancies in it that proved ithad been faked. Beside it sat the remains of my lunch which I’d yet to find thetime to remove.

‘It’s what I calltrying to actually get the opportunity to enjoy the weekend,’ I told her,taking off my gloves and leaning back on the desk where my computer sat. ‘Anyway,shouldn’t you be at work?’

A small smilespread across Ella’s face. ‘This is more important,’ she told me cryptically. ‘Now,come on.’

‘But I –’

‘Do I need to bringthe sack?’ Maze’s voice floated in from the hallway and a moment later she wasstanding in the office as well, whispers from my colleagues floating in before thedoor swung shut behind her.

My brow furrowed asI looked between the unexpected duo. ‘Why does this feel like an intervention?’I asked slowly.

‘We need to have agir –’

‘I need your helpwith something, (Y/n),’ said Ella, widening her eyes to look as innocent aspossible, a look she knew I had trouble refusing. ‘Please, just come with us.’

I glanced towardsMaze, who was idly fiddling with a dangerous looking knife – I had no ideawhere she’d got it from, and I didn’t really want to find out. ‘All right,’ I conceded.‘I’ll come. But if my boss complains you’re explaining what happened.’

‘On it,’ Ellaassured me, nodding her head as she reached for my hand and dragged me out ofwork.

The journey wasn’tlong but it was the most fun I’d had in a while. I’d almost forgotten how muchI loved these girls, loved having them by my sides and looking out for me. Theonly thing that was really missing was…

Ella pulled upoutside Chloe’s house, a wide grin spreading across her face. ‘Surprise,’ shesaid, just as the door opened and the last of our little group rushed out ofthe house to greet us.

‘Who’d tell usrandom facts and beat us all at those dreadful pub quiz games?’ asked Chloe asLinda released me and she took to a brief hug.

I heard the cardoor slamming behind me, assuring me that Maze had got out of the car. ‘Andsing all those odd songs at the top of their lungs,’ she added, starting downthe garden path.

‘Hey, Disney songs are not odd,’ I defended,lopping my arms through Linda’s and Ella’s.

‘They kinda are,’admitted Chloe thoughtfully. ‘I mean, they’re brilliant, but some of them arejust weird.’

Linda hummed heragreement. ‘I’m all for a great Disney songbut there are some that even I’ll skip as soon as the opening chords start.’

I rolled my eyesbut couldn’t stop myself from grinning. It was times like this that I missed,the promise of girly nights in with my favourite people. Yes, life had beenhectic since learning the truth about Lucifer, and trying to help with my job,but I’d made some of the best friends that I could ask for through it, and Iwouldn’t have changed that for the world. The promise of a whole weekend with them?Well that was just sheer bliss to me.

You were one of the L.A.P.D´s forensic scientists. The department had decided to hire a second professional since Ella needed help with her work. How you managed to get this job? You were not quite sure. One second you were still in college and the next you were working with this talented team. At first you were incredibly shy but the more time you spent there the more you warmed up.

There was one person you could not grow used to, though. This someone being Lucifer Morningstar, consultant of the homicide detective Chloe Decker. The first moment you had laid your (Y/E/C) eyes on him you knew you were fucked. It was not like you actually worked alongside him, that was Chloe´s job unfortunately, but you always met at crime scenes and recently more often at the precinct, too. Whenever the two of you were left alone, you could feel his piercing eyes on you, this smirk of his, and you were blushing like crazy. Your stupid crush should not distract you from your work but he was giving you a hard time with that.

“(Y/N)! New corpse not too far away from here. You coming?” only Ella could sound this excited over a dead person. Her enthusiasm made you chuckle.

“On my way.” grabbing your equipment, you made your way over to where she was waiting for you.

“Let´s go!” her smile looked like one of a child in a play factory.

Of course this job was handled by Lucifer and Chloe. Sometimes, especially on days like these, you wished for Dan because he never intimidated you like Luci did. Luci. You heard this nickname once when his brother visited him at work and ever since then you had been calling him so, too.

“Miss Lopez! (Y/N)!” maybe you were imagining it but you could swear his smile was a little bit wider when he looked at you and said your name. Stupid, you were stupid. Why were you getting your hopes up? It was obvious to everyone that he was in love with Chloe. How could he not? She was literally the most beautiful human being you had ever seen.

Ella and you examined the corpse, taking pictures of the scene and so on. Everything a forensic scientist was supposed to do. Yet the woman next to you noticed you were not really here.

“(Y/N)? Everything alright?” her voice snapped you out of stance. It was then when you realized that you had been staring at Lucifer and Chloe. How he smiled so lovingly at her. How his admiration for the woman next to him could be felt all across the crime scene.

“Um, yeah, sorry. I was just...thinking. Where were we?” clearing your throat, you acted as if nothing just happened. Ella, though, could see your staring. Actually, that was not the first time she had caught you eyeing the tall, handsome man up and down. Despite her efforts of leaving the two of you alone, making sure you ended up working together more, you never made the first step. Yes, he flirted with you but you thought it was his personality. He did that with everyone, right? Ella knew better though. She had known Lucifer for a long time now and she had never seen him this nervous around a person. He simply tried to hide this with his flirting and he succeeded.

“When will you admit it, huh?” when you turned to Ella you could see her arms being crossed in front of her chest. Your eyebrows quirked in confusion.

“Admit what?” you took another picture, trying to focus on the scene in front of you.

“Seriously? You´ve been eye fucking Lucifer ever since you stepped into the precinct. Do something about it, it´s getting tiring.” she stated matter of factly. That made you look towards her, shock written all over your face. Were you really that obvious? A hand came up to scratch at the back of your neck. You made sure nobody could here you. Stepping closer to Ella, you still wanted to stay as quiet as possible, just in case.

“And do what exactly? Huh, Ella? I´m not getting between two people, forget it!”

“Between two people? What are you talking about?”

“Duh, him and Chloe of course. Everyone knows they are pretty much in love with each other.”

“And everyone being you, only you.”

“What?” by now you did not understand anything anymore.

“Oh my God, (Y/N)...Lucifer has literally been trying to ask you out for THE longest time. I know what you´re talking about. He flirts with everyone, really. BUT he´s never nervous while doing so. Never except for when he´s talking to you.” Ella looked so done with you. How could you be so oblivious? She knew she had to help you guys. Otherwise she would go insane if she had to watch the two of you for much longer.

“Ella...Look, you know I have a crush on him, okay I got it. But please don´t just assume he likes me, too.” your eyes dropped to the floor.

“I have a plan.” Ella mumbled more to herself but your eyes met hers as you had heard her. What was she up to?

Chloe walked over to where you were standing, Lucifer following closely behind.

“You guys finished?” the detective asked looking between Ella and you.

“I think we got everything, yeah. We can head back.” going through the pictures you took yet again, you made sure that you really captured everything.

“Good job, (Y/N)!” Lucifer praised you. This made you focus your gaze down, heat rising to your cheeks.

“Okay, Ella, let´s go.” you looked at her, motioning to your car that was parked a few feet away from you.

“Um, actually. I promised Chloe we would go to this shop that recently opened downtown. I´m going with her.” Ella glared at Chloe, hoping she would pick up on the lie she was currently forming.

“What shop?” the confusion subsided after Chloe saw Ella´s stern look. “O-ohh. Ahhh, THAT shop, of course, Ella. Let´s go, I can´t wait to finally visit it. See you guys.” the detective grabbed Ella by one of her arms and dragged her towards her car.

“Um? DETECTIVE? How am I supposed to go back to the department? Dete-” but before he could even finish, the car doors slammed and Chloe sped away with Ella in the passenger´s side, smiling successfully. Picking up on what Ella was trying to do you let your previous conversation replay in your head. Maybe she was right. But if she was not...she would be dead by the end of the day.

“Well, I´m heading back anyway...You could come with me if you wanna?” your heart skipped a beat but you were proud of yourself for delivering this without stuttering or anything. Lucifer´s smile grew at your offer.

“With pleasure, (Y/N).” the way your name sounded out of his mouth was so heavenly, so soft. Something you knew you wanted to hear all the time.

You both got seated in and as you were about to start the engine, you heard Lucifer speak up.

“That´s a lovely car. How come I´ve never been in here?”

“Why, thank you, Luci. I usually take Ella everywhere, that´s probably why.” this time you found yourself smiling from ear to ear. You enjoyed being in his presence. Yes, he could be a sarcastic piece of shit but so could you.

“Do you want to head back right away?” his look made you melt but you were not quite sure what his intention was. You went with it anyway.

“What are you suggesting?” you asked, hoping his next words were what you always wanted to hear.

“I know a nice restaurant in the city. Let me play navigation device.”

“Are you asking me on a date after investigating a crime scene?” you giggled at his plan.

“Um, yeah..I am.” Lucifer grew nervous and this was the first time you could actually tell he was. Ella was right, then. You had this effect on him.

“I´d love to, Luci.�� you answered fast in order to not make him uncomfortable.

“Off we go then.” his smirk was already plastered on his face again. Of course, Devil things.

“First off all you need to start the engine, I´m afraid.” and there he was again, the teasing Lucifer everyone knew and loved.

“Really? Shit, haven´t thought about that at all.” your sarcastic tone made him laugh. You started your car and looked over at him. “Where to?”

“Turn right.” was the only thing he said. You could not believe that he asked you on a date. YOU. All this time you thought you were just a good friend. All this time you thought he had his eyes on Chloe. Oh, how wrong you were. This felt like the beginning of something magical. This felt right.
