this is gonna be a collection of random sentences from the first draft of a criminal minds fic i’m calling evidence woes. some of these lines were too good not to share (even tho they’ll most likely not make it into the final version)

“Ella Lopez, forensic scientist at the LAPD. And I don’t care who you are, you’re contaminating the crime scene with your blatant disregard for proper evidential procedure.”

Morgan turns to Reid, one eyebrow raised. “You’re enjoying watching Hotch get his ass handed to him, aren’t you.”

“Fine. But this isn’t over,” she mutters darkly, turning on her heel to return to her lab and begin analyzing the rest of the properly collected evidence.

Rossi lets out an amused snort. “She’s a feisty one, that’s for sure.” / “Can it, Dave,” Hotch says.

There’s an inhuman screech from the hallway, followed by Ella Lopez sprinting into the conference room. She wastes no time, climbing onto a chair to snatch the paper bag from Reid’s hands.

Ella has a wicked grin on her face. “Gather around, kids. Today you’ll be learning how to not fuck up. First things first. Proper documentation and chain of custody.”

“Always, Detect - Chloe.” Lucifer promises, his words slightly muffled by her hand.

She takes his hands in her own and looks up at him, a determined expression on her face. “Do you want to be with me?”

Neon lights bloomed over the horizon, bleeding through the smog with flashes of purple and pink and blue. The air creeping beneath the hotel balcony doors was cold, and the thin walls did nothing to muffle the blare of the traffic trickling through the busy streets below. 

So many things to distract you, and yet, all you could see was her.

Ella’s cheeks were flushed, her eyes even brighter than usual as she swayed her hips to the music blasting through the shitty, crackling speaker you’d snagged for five bucks online. Her hair was in disarray, tangled around her face and caught in the spaghetti straps of her red dress, as brightly coloured as the overflowing solo cup in her hand. Vodka soda spilt over the edges, clear droplets running over the smooth skin of her arm and dripping onto her dress, though the liquid didn’t steal her attention for even a moment.

“Y/N, dance with me!” she cheered, pulling you from your stupor. You bit back a smile, downing the last of your own drink before jumping up to join her. She threw back her own drink, swallowing it in a few thick gulps that left stray drops of alcohol collecting at the corner of her lips. Neither of you was drunk yet, but if you kept drinking at this rate, it wouldn’t take long.

“You know I don’t like dancing,” you half whined, and when she giggled, your heart couldn’t help but lurch. 

“Everyone likes dancing, silly!” she exclaimed, looping her arms around your neck as she pressed her body close to yours. She was warm and soft, and up close, you could see the smudge of red lipstick on her chin, smell the floral perfume clinging to her neck and wrists. Your breath caught as she rolled her hips over yours, throwing you a sultry wink as she grabbed your hands and set them on her hips. She giggled again at the look on your face, and suddenly she was kissing you. Not for the first time, and hopefully not for the last.

Ella’s lips were pillowy and soft, and you could taste the salt of her skin, the bitter tang of alcohol, and the rubbery flavour of her lipstick. She sighed contentedly against your mouth, before pulling away with a beam, her fingers combing through your hair as she pressed one last, playful peck to the corner of your mouth. Red lipstick stained your cheek, but you couldn’t bring yourself to care. Not when she was still so close to you, not while you could still taste her on your tongue, your body overtaken with a cold hollowness left by her absence as she stepped away. 

She curled her fingers with yours, squeezing your hand once before shooting you another wink.

“Come on, let’s check out some clubs, huh?” she asked breathlessly, eyes alight with fondness and excitement. “I wanna show off my gorgeous, amazing, stunning girlfriend,” she bubbled, and you couldn’t help but smile, your arms sliding around her waist to pull her in for a hug.

“Fine,” you relented, smile still toying at your lips. “But first, one more thing…”

She raised her brows, and you’d be damned if the quizzical expression curving her features wasn’t the most adorable thing you’d ever seen in your life.

“Hmm? What’s that?”

You grinned, and sealed your lips to hers.

so i finally got fed up with watching criminal minds and seeing the bau mishandle evidence at a crime scene so i started writing a fic where a forensic scientist (ella lopez—iykyk) yells at the bau every time they do something wrong

current working summary:

5 times the bau was reprimanded for improper evidence handling (by a forensic scientist) + 1 time the forensic scientist got revenge

You and you dad when you were little had a beautiful realationship: he tried always being around you, because he knowed what it meant when you have a dad but it's like you haven not, he always assured that you were okay and had everything you need. In conclusion he seems to be a perfect dad. . . But since you have grown up and become a teeneger things have changed: he would stay less and less at home.

For an example, the other time you managed to having a date with you dad at dinner at McDonald, it was long time ago that you and Lucifer ate there. Naturally you were so excited to spend some time with your old man but half hour before the date he simply texted this standing up you:

I can't to go to our appointment tonight, I have to work with the detective. You should have my credit card, use it to order something. And don't wait for me

You were so angy that night at him and that stupid detective. You hated her, despite to have met Chloe Decker few times since you remember.

The days passed and the situation were always worse, so you have come up with a plan to have the attention of your daddy back. You have decided to get you in trouble at school,to be precise beating a boy in your school, and there was no way to feel guilty since the boy is a jerk.

You punched him at the nose and his genitals; and ten minuts after the principal called your dad to pick you up, since you were suspended for a week. Of course he never brothered to pick you up soon,because he was " working ". You had to wait all school day in the office of the principal.

When he come to get you he kept ask you why you did that, and what was in your mind, but you gave him the silent treatment till the penthouse.ly

" Y/N stop avoiding my question " your father almost yelled laying the keys on the table of the kitchen

" And you stop being a dickhead " you respondend while a little smirk formed on your face, knowing that he would be more angry

" Excuse me? " Lucifer told increduly

" You heard right, I said that you are a dickhead "

" What is wrong you? The dective warn me about the problems of adolescense but i was not expecting that my own child fighting with his schoolmates and saying swear words" he had a dissapointed looks and that's what get you more nervous: how dare he to have that looks? After he ignored you so many times, after he left you alone. You should had that look.

" What is wrong with me?Seriously dad?" you scoffed and relased a bitter laugh " I should ask what is wrong with you "

"What does it mean?" and now he had a curious look on his face

" Well, that you have basically abbandoned me. All you do is hang out with that stupid detective, and cancelling our date and forgot completely about me. I know that your job and that detective are important to you. . . But more than your child? Don't love me anymore? Am I brothering you? You prefer to hang out with her than me. You’re always complaining about your dad, but you’re also a shitty father " And that was your turn to yell, saying all the things that you were thinking, and then you stormed in your room, locking it-

And in that moment that Lucifer had realized how much ignored you and how much a dickhead was for that made you thinking that things. He was angry and ashamed towards himself. He had to do everything he can to make you understand that you are the most precious thing he has and that he loves you more than anyone else, including the detective
