Husbands | AU verse
Vievecor University. It had been years since Jaxon had come anywhere near that place -longer still since he'd picked up his husband from it, but that evening was going to be the start to the change they had both needed. At least, Reed felt that way.
Their marriage had been on the rocks for half that long. He had been a bad husband; distant and unhelpful both at home and elsewhere..and that had hurt them greatly. Especially Elijah. So yes, there he was, standing by the classroom the professor was said to be at until all students had exited..and waiting a moment or two to make his own entrance.
Knocking once, the businessman perched himself on the door frame, silent..as he watched his handsome man collect his stuff and then, cleared his throat. "Hey teach," he teased, "I came for the extra credit..you still offering?"

HOPE MIKAELSON.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
full name: hope andrea mikaelson species: witch/werewolf/vampire tribrid age: 18-21 birthday: january 2nd zodiac: capricorn gender: cis woman pronouns: she/her sexuality: demiromantic pansexual race: white (alt verse: mixed black/white) hair color / style: auburn brown eye color: gray-blue height: 160cm / 5'3" traits/personality: wiki. family: hayle(y) marshall (father/mother; deceased), klaus mikaelson (father), elijah mikaelson (uncle; deceased), rebekah mikaelson (aunt), kol mikaelson (uncle), esther (grandmother; deceased), mikael (adoptive grandfather; deceased), ansel (grandfather) fandom: the originals faceclaim: madison davenport (verse specific alt fc: troian bellisario)
C A N O N D I V E R G E N C I E S :
canon up until S05E06 of the originals. after hayle(y)'s death, hope does not go back to the salvatore school and instead stays in new orleans with her family. marcel homeschools her as much as possible, considering klaus and rebekah can't come near her and she wants nothing to do with elijah.
even though klaus cannot come near her, he changes how much he stays in contact with her and the two of them grow extremely close very quickly, somewhat resolving hope's issues with his previous absence in her life. she clings to klaus after losing her other parent.
like in canon, klaus and hope still end up going near each other and causing issues. after regaining his memories, elijah's guilt over hayle(y)'s death consumes him, and when klaus tells him of his plan to take in the entirety of the hollow, elijah intervenes and convinces freya to give it to him instead.
klaus is still the one to kill elijah, in the same way as in canon. i have issues with how the white oak was magically there the entire time after the entire last half of season 3 was spent fighting over "the last of the white oak" so the stake was not hidden by klaus decades ago, it was magically made from the remaining fragments of white oak that could be found around the city.
another thing i'm addressing that season 5 did not is elijah's sireline. because he was never disconnected from them, 1/3 of all remaining vampires on earth died.
hope does not find out that elijah did this for klaus until after it's done. she has unresolved emotions about it, and refuses to talk about it when it's brought up.
hope becomes even more attached to klaus, and because the hollow is now gone, she is by his side at almost all times. anything that takes his attention/interest away from her is seen as a threat. she completely falls into the daddy's girl trope, very quickly.
freya teaches her magic, klaus teaches her everything else. like in canon/legacies, hope has issues containing her magic and it is very heavily tied into her emotional state. if she gets too upset, the entire city risks experiencing a blackout if she is not wearing her bracelet.
3 years post series (when she is 21) hope forgets to take her magic-dampening bracelet off when she is trying to track someone she thinks is trying to hurt klaus. it ends up being aurora, and hope realizes she isn't powerful enough to protect herself too late. aurora kills her, and she turns.
these details are slightly different for my klaus's family business verse, as hope is not klaus's only child there:
hayle is not dead, elijah is not dead, klaus is not dead. we do what we want. because of this, hope still attends the salvatore school and goes to college there.
because she is considered one of klaus's firstborn children (via dahlia's firstborn curse resetting each millennia), hope is still far more powerful and uncontrollable than the rest of her siblings, and thus feels alone because of it.
she is also the only one of her siblings that does not have a direct sibling, as she was hayle's only child. this also contributes to her feeling alone.
because she is one of klaus's firstborns under dahlia's curse, she has a doppelganger who was born roughly two years after her; her name is jackie kenner-west. she is jackson's child, and because of this, hope considers jackie her sister.
hope's relationship with klaus is completely different in this verse as opposed to her canon/main verse. she is far more attached to hayle than she is klaus.
also refer to tricursed's no humanity verse for info on my hope's split!verse.

JIM AND SUSIE MALCOLM, THE FOCAL POINT, 1 NOVEMBER 2024
I got back to the good old Focal Point for Elijah Wald a few weeks ago, but it’s been sometime that we both made it back to what was our musical home 25-30 years ago. She dances there regularly, but my jazz turn, though it includes small rooms and being able to talk to musicians, has taken us away from this magnificent room. It is probably also true that we are not monitoring this scene for the new up and comers and aren’t as willing to take chances the way I am with jazz.
But, having old favorite JIM MALCOLM brought us out again. We have seen him first with the Old Blind Dogs and then on numerous solo tours. During lockdown he and SUSIE had a strong variation on the Zoom concert framework and then were back around together a year or two ago. On Zoom and that earlier show showed how they worked together with fine voices, great good humor and charm, and a knack for the good song. Still, there was more than a little part of me that missed two full sets of JIM himself, more resettings of tunes (Flowers of Edinburgh and Lochanside) and ancient songs (Plains of Waterloo and Sir Patrick Spens) with sophisticated chords in DADGAD with vocals and harmonica attuned to those modern chords.
There was enough of that, about half the show of course, but there was also SUSIE who mined the Scottish folk revival for some real gems, pulling from Andy M. Stewart/Silly Wizard (Ramblin’ Rover), Davy Steele/Battlefield (Farewell to the Haven), Mormond Braes (E had heard it just this week from even pre-Jim Old Blind Dogs, but it’s trad), Kelvin’s Purling Stream we first heard from Tony Cuffe, and Jock Stewart, plus Corinne Plowert’s humorous John C Clark about a plain couple (all of us) who find happiness in one another. She mugged as she VannaWhited the map of Scotland they have as a backdrop, danced comically during the Old Toon Shuffle, and recited two verses of the poet Burns’ Address to the Haggis.
That she was the delight is not to diminish Jim’s ongoing original songs (Road to New York and From the Clyde to the Susquehanna) and a new group of trad songs (The Wail of Flodden, Wild Geese, and the Robert Tannahill song that was transformed into Wild Mountain Thyme. His guitar is a wonder and makes me think, as he does everytime, of trying to finally get DADGAD tuning.
Together they reflected on this trip around the US Midwest, Scottish history, and a warm humor about each other and life in general. He was the one who went out on the road for 25 years while she waited for the kids to launch (and they have). And, he probably is the more unique talent. BUT, he looks lovingly on her when she’s in the spotlight and that love and our audience’s appreciation is very very well deserved.

SEVEN PROPHETS GAVE TIME OF CHRIST’S RETURN WITHOUT EVEN KNOWING IT, May 15, 2026
God’s people in the past have earnestly yearned to know the set time of Christ’s return (Acts 1:6-8). However, God did not reveal unto them the day when the world would end but rather in these last days, which happen to be in our time (John 16:12, 13).
Hereupon, God’s prophets aforetime have unknowingly prophesied the appointed time of Christ’s Second Coming.
1 PETER 1:10-12
(10) Of which SALVATION the PROPHETS have ENQUIRED and SEARCHED diligently…
(11) SEARCHING what, or what manner of TIME the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify…
(12) Unto whom it was REVEALED, that NOT UNTO THEMSELVES, but UNTO US… which things the ANGELS DESIRE to look into.
Moreover, God declared from the beginning the appointed time of the end (Isaiah 46:10).
In the Hebrew Tanakh, “ELOHIM” or “GODS” in Genesis 1:1 was mentioned 2,602 times, a flipped figure of 2026, the exact year of Christ’s return.
Additionally, God gave the number 1260 (Revelation 11:3,6) as a hint for the exact year of His return, 2026, which likewise directs to the days of Elijah when it rained not for 3 years and 6 months (James 5:17,7-1260 days) and the days of Moses.
EXODUS 15:17, 27
(17) Thou shalt bring them… in the SANCTUARY, O Lord, which THY HANDS have ESTABLISHED.
(27) And they came to Elim, where were TWELVE wells of water, and THREESCORE AND (plus) TEN palm trees…
12 – TWELVE wells, 60 – THREESCORE, 10 – TEN palm trees (Exodus 15:27)
1260 + 10 = 2260 (flipped figure of 2026)
The following passages were written by God’s prophets foretelling the exact year of Christ’s return, 2026, which had only been decrypted in our time.
GENESIS 6:3, 15, 10, 16, 19
12 – HUNDRED and TWENTY years (verse 3) 3 – THREE sons (verse 10)
3 – THREE HUNDRED cubits (verse 15) 2 – SECOND (verse 16)
5 – FIFTY cubits (verse 15) 3 – THIRD stories (verse 16)
3 – THIRTY CUBITS (verse 15) 2 – TWO (verse 19)
12 x 35 x 3 = 1260 3 + 2 + 3 + 2 = 10
1260 + 10 = 2260 (flipped figure of 2026)
GENESIS 18:24-32
5 – FIFTY (verses 26) 3 – THIRTY (verse 30)
9 – FORTY and FIVE (verse 28) 2 – TWENTY (verse 31)
4 – FORTY (verse 29) 2 – TEN and TEN’S (verse 32)
5 x 9 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 2 = 2160
10 – FIFTY, FIFTY (verse 24)
216(0) + 10 = 226 or 2260 (flipped figure of 2026)
DANIEL 12:5-7, 11-12
(6) …HOW LONG shall it be to the END of these wonders?
(7) …it shall be for a TIME, TIMES, and an HALF… all these things shall be FINISHED.
TIME, TIMES, and an HALF (verse 7) = 3 ½ years = 1260 days
2 – other TWO (verse 5), 1 – ONE (verse 5), 1 – ONE (verse 6)
2 + 1 + 1 = 4
The triangular number of 4 is 10.
1260 +10 = 2260 (flipped figure of 2026)
1 CHRONICLES 12:32 And of the children of ISSACHAR, which were men that had UNDERSTANDING of the TIMES, to KNOW what Israel OUGHT TO DO…
1 CHRONICLES 7:2
(1) Now the sons of ISSACHAR were, Tola… Jashub…
(2) And the sons of Tola…TWO and TWENTY THOUSAND and SIX HUNDRED - 22,600 or 2260 (flipped figure of 2026)
DANIEL 9:24-27
7 – SEVENTY weeks (verse 24) 62 – THREESCORE and TWO weeks (verse 25)
7 – SEVEN weeks (verse 25) 62 – THREESCORE and TWO weeks (verse 26)
7 + 7 = 14
14 x 6 x 2 x 6 x 2 = 2016
7 days – ONE week (verse 27)
The triangular number of 7 is 28 (2 + 8 = 10).
2016 + 10 = 2026
God placed the exact year of His return in the Sabbath, which is God’s everlasting and perpetual covenant (Leviticus 24:8, Exodus 31:16, 17), for He will come in like manner as He ascended into heaven (Acts 1:11-12).
EXODUS 20:8-11
6 – SIX days (verse 9), 7 – SEVENTH day (verse 10), 13 – SIX days, SEVENTH day (verse 11)
6 + 7 + 13 = 26
ACTS 1:11-12
2,000 – SABBATH DAY’S journey (Joshua 3:3-4, Exodus 16:29)
2,000 + 26 = 2026
TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

For: Finn Mikaelson :: @brokenandlonelysouls Specified Muse: Hal Verse: Modern | Army Ranger
"Why, of all the small towns in America, did ya have ta pick ''ere?"
  It was a familiar grumble from one of her oldest friends and brought some much needed normalcy into her life. Hal knew he didn't mean it though, not completely anyway. In fairness, Mystic Falls wasn't a town that she would normally have visited but it was somewhere out of the and mostly quiet. If you ignored the supernatural happenings that was. "Blame Dai..."
  "I'm goin' ta throw him out of a window when I next see 'im." The fiery natured Southerner scowled as he lifted the last of the boxes from his truck and took them inside. Saeradan, or Dan for short, wasn't kidding either but that was how the relationship between him and Candaith worked.
  Hal looked amused, too used to the antics of her supernatural best friends. "He thought you'd.. say that, hence.. why he didn't.. come with us..." Her lips quirked up into a half smile at the grey eyed vampire's grumbling in his native language. But her thoughts soon switched to the meeting they were heading to at the Mikaelson house.
  She was meant to be meeting with Elijah, just to avoid any issues arising with future visits from her two closest friends. The quiet 25 year old veteran had planned to knock but then the truck's engine coughed, spluttered loudly and promptly died. She got out and leant against the truck, thankful that fire wasn't present.
  "At least I.. don't need to.. knock now... That would've.. woken the dead... Let alone those.. with supernatural hearing..." The sarcastic words earned her the Finger, a universal sign recognised everywhere, and she snorted. Tension in her shoulders faded a bit as she kept one eye on the front door and the other on her friend, not wanting to get caught off guard by anyone.

  Through the Bible with Les Feldick LESSON 1 * PART 3 * BOOK 62 ISAIAH 57:3 – 60:22 Okay, I see everybody is back in here after your coffee break. For those of you out in television that are rather new to the program, we always like to periodically let it be known that we tape four programs in succession here on a Wednesday afternoon. Between each half-hour program we have a coffee break. The ladies bring in enough refreshments for a ‘log rolling,’ so we have a good time all afternoon with Bible study and sweet fellowship. We’re in Isaiah chapter 59. We’re going to pick up where we left off because I want to come in at verse 20 and 21 and the first part of chapter 60 this half-hour. Remember, that in spite of all of Israel’s sin, God still puts before them the prospect of glorious things to come, especially that earthly kingdom. Now, as I’ve said before and I’ll say it again, most of Christendom, church-goers and Sunday School people, don’t have a clue as to this thousand year earthly kingdom coming on the earth. The reason they know nothing of it - it isn’t taught in their particular denomination. But just because it isn’t taught doesn’t mean that it’s not going to happen! This glorious earthly kingdom with Christ Himself as the King will be primarily to fulfill all of the promises made to the nation of Israel. The end result of everything will be this glorious Kingdom over which they will be the primary nation. We’ll be looking at that sometime in the next two programs. All right, so even though it’s depressing to read about all of Israel’s sin and their unbelief and their wickedness, yet the prospect is still out in front of them of this glory yet to come. Isaiah 59:18-19 "According to their deeds, (that is their unlawful, wicked deeds) accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompense to his enemies; to the islands (or the borders of other nations) he will repay and recompense. 19. So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. (which is the east) When the enemy shall come in like a flood, (which of course, is a reference now to the Babylonians) the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him." All right, now we’ll leap all the way up in verse 20 to Christ’s first advent. Isaiah 59:20 "And the Redeemer (And you see that’s capitalized. So, it’s a title, and it simply means the One who will pay the price for Israel’s salvation. That is going to be their Messiah.) shall come to Zion, (Never forget Zion is Jerusalem. Mount Zion is in Jerusalem. Never forget that.) and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD." All right, now when Christ came to the nation at His first advent, just like it’s been all the way in their history, how many responded and believed who He was? Just a small percentage, only a few. All right, now let’s go again and see how the Apostle Paul deals with that phenomenon. Let’s go again to Romans, chapter 11. It was only a small percentage of Israel that could understand and believe who Jesus of Nazareth really was. Of course, it carries over into Paul’s writings here in Romans 11 as he’s dealing with the nation of Israel. Here Paul is showing that even from antiquity and up to his present time, as I said last program, things never change. There was a remnant back then, there’s a remnant here, and there will be a remnant in the end-time scenario. Romans 11:2a "God hath not cast away his people (Israel) which he foreknew." Now, that flies in the face of a lot of teaching that’s going out today that God was all through with the Jew after 70 AD and that everything promised Israel has been given to the Church. Not according to Romans 11! They have to throw this chapter away, because here it’s as plain as day that: Romans 11:2b "…Know you not what the scripture saith of Elijah? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying," Now watch, if this isn’t a true ringer with what we’ve been reading in Isaiah. Even Elijah was already experiencing it.
Romans 11:3 "Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life." Why were they seeking Elijah’s life? Because he was a true man of God, and they didn’t like him in their midst. That’s been Israel’s history. Romans 11:4 "But what saith the answer of God unto him? (That is to Elijah.) I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal." Baal was the god in Elijah’s day. In Isaiah’s day it was Molock and some of the others. But it’s always that same small percentage that did not fall into rank unbelief. Now, look at verse 5, Paul writes: Romans 11:5 "Even so then at this present time (as he writes, in about 60 AD, just a few years before Rome will come in and destroy the Temple and the city) there is a remnant (that small percentage) according to the election of grace." So, what happened? Verse 7: Romans 11:7a "What then? Israel (the nation) hath not obtained that which he seeketh for;" Well, now what does that mean? Well, all up through the Old Testament, because of the prophets, they had an understanding that there was a King and Kingdom coming, and that it would be glorious. And in spite of all those promises they still would turn their back on it. Now, Paul makes reference to that fact. Israel was looking for a King and Kingdom, but they didn’t get it because they wouldn’t believe who Jesus was. See, that’s the whole thrust of Christ’s earthly ministry. I guess I can use one of my favorite verses while we’re in Romans anyway. Jump ahead a few pages to chapter 15. Many of you have heard me use this verse. I use it so often on my traveling seminars as an introduction to almost any subject I want to teach on for a whole day. I can start with this verse. Romans 15 verse 8. Most of Christendom doesn’t even know it’s in their Bible. But it is. It is! Where Paul says: Romans 15:8 "Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision (that’s Israel, and for what purpose?) for the truth of God, (Now, what was His purpose when He came to the nation in His first advent?) to confirm (or fulfill or bring to fruition) the promises made unto the fathers." That says it all! So, why did Christ approach the nation of Israel? To proclaim Himself as their King and how He was ready to bring in this glorious Kingdom promised all through the Old Testament. But did they accept it? No. Their unbelief caused them to be blind to even that for which they were looking. Now again, you know my favorite illustration of that was when they could have had the Promised Land. They could have gone in and had the land flowing with milk and honey. When I make these two comparisons, I always ask the question, was He playing games with Israel when He said the land of milk and honey is theirs? No, it was for real. They could have had it. But why didn’t they? Unbelief. Oh, we can’t beat those Canaanites. They’re too big. They’re cities are walled. Where was their faith? They had none. So, they had to turn around and die in the desert. Well, it was the same way at His first advent. Here He made all the fulfillment promises. If they would just believe who He was they could have had it, but only a few did, and that wasn’t enough because it had to be the whole nation. So, what a sad commentary. But, listen, don’t just blame Israel. That’s the world in general. In fact, I was just talking to someone on the phone yesterday and we got to talking about some of these parallel percentages. When seven thousand in Israel didn’t bow the knee to Baal, out of a population of seven million, now most of you have heard me use this before, what was the percentage? It was one tenth of one percent, or one out of a thousand. That’s all. Now, look at America today. Even though our churches may be full of raucous worshippers, how many are true believers? How many are resting on that finished work of the cross? (That’s faith that he died for your sins, was buried, and rose again.) There are not many.
I’m not going to be bold enough to say one tenth of one percent, although I’d like to. But listen, it’s going to be a small percentage. When the Lord comes, they won’t even miss us. Those that are missing won’t even make a dent in the population. So it was in Israel. Now, back to Isaiah and verse 21 as Isaiah is leaping all the way over the Babylonian invasion and he’s coming all the way up now to His (Christ’s) first advent in verse 20, which we just looked at. Now, verse 21: Isaiah 59:21 "As for me, this is my covenant with them, (that is believing Israel) saith the LORD; My Spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and forever." Now, when Israel rejected Him at His first coming this won’t become fulfilled until when? The Second Coming. At His Second Coming we can expect Israel to come under the fulfillment of what we call the covenant that He makes with Israel. Jeremiah, let’s look at it a minute, Jeremiah 31 and the new covenant. Not the old covenant of Law, but the new covenant, which will be ushered in at the advent of the Kingdom. Now, of course, when Israel rejected everything at His first coming this was pushed back 2000 years, which nothing in Scripture indicates. There’s nothing in here to indicate a 2000-year period between His first advent and His second. It may even be more. We’ve already come almost to 2000, according to our calendar anyway. But, whatever, it’s going to be at His Second Coming. This new covenant is not for the church as so many would try to tell you it is. This will be for the nation of Israel. Jeremiah 31:31 "Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:" Now, that has never been made yet, because Israel rejected everything. But when He comes the second time it will become a reality. Now verse 32. This is what that new covenant is going to be, just like Isaiah foretold in his writing. Jeremiah 31:32 "Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; (That was the covenant of Law. This is going to supersede the Mosaic covenant of Law.) which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:" He didn’t give up on them any more than a husband will on his unfaithful wife. Now, verse 33: Jeremiah 31:33 "But, this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, (That is, after anything intervening and He finally comes and sets up His Kingdom, this is what’s going to happen to every Jew that comes into that Kingdom experience.) saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people." It’s going to be an automatic thing. Jeremiah 31:34a "And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me,…" See, there won’t be any unbelievers to stick out the tongue in the Kingdom. They’re all going to be of like minds. Jeremiah 31:34b "…from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more." That’s coming! But until that day, Israel is still plagued with all the things that Isaiah is writing about. Okay, let’s come back again to Isaiah where we just left off, and that would be in chapter 60. Isaiah chapter 60 and this, of course, is a reference first and foremost to His first coming and the following Kingdom, if Israel would have accepted it. But they didn’t. So now, they’ve been sent into the dispersion, they’ve been scattered into the nations of the world. They have now been coming back these last many years to their ancient homeland in order to be ready for His Second Coming. It’s no accident that the Jews are back in the Holy Land.
It’s no accident that they have become a nation of people once again. They have to be there for the coming of their Messiah at His Second Coming. All right, but now we’re talking about the first advent in verse 1. Isaiah 60:1a "Arise, (the prophet writes) shine; for thy light is come,…" Whose light? Israel’s. And Who is Israel’s light? The Messiah, Jesus of Bethlehem and later on of Nazareth. Isaiah 60:1b-2a "…and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. (the Nation of Israel) 2. For, behold, the darkness (spiritual darkness) shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people:"(Israel) Even though they had the temple and the priesthood, yet it was nothing but a manmade ‘works’ religion by the time Christ comes, and they are in a spiritual darkness. "But," that’s not going to stop God. Isaiah 60:2b "…but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee." Then, if Israel would have been obedient and if they would have recognized who Jesus was, the Tribulation would have gone by, the King would have set up His Kingdom and then Israel could have been what? Isaiah 60:3 "And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising." That was their prospect. But they lost it. They lost that opportunity when they rejected their Messiah. So, now, there will be no unsaved Gentiles after Christ sets up His Kingdom because that will have totally changed. Now, turn to Matthew 23. This is just to show you that Christ knew Israel was going to reject Him, and that they would have to wait for a period of time, it never tells us how long, until He would yet return and give them the King and the Kingdom. All through His earthly ministry He gives no indication of Israel’s rejection, even though the vast majority were not becoming followers and believers. Yet, He did not indicate that there would be a break in the time or in the outflow of Old Testament prophecy. Here in Matthew 23 verses 37-39, are verses I’m sure you’re all acquainted with. These are a couple of verses that I just cherish. Matthew 23:37a "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem,…" Can’t you hear Him? Many of you have seen the painting of Christ sitting on the Mount of Olives looking out over the city. This is where I think the painter got the setting. He sits here and looks out over the city that is now rejecting Him out of hand, and this is His heart-cry, Matthew 23:37 "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets,…" (They’ve been doing it for hundreds of years.) and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often (all the way through their history) I would have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!" Now, it’s unfortunate in our day and time that very few people know what a phenomenon that is. When I was a kid, when we still had the old, as we called it, the old cluck or setting hen with her little brood of chicks. My, she could just ‘tick, tick, tick, tick’ and here they’d all come and hide under her feathers. Just totally disappear. Well, it’s exactly the illustration He’s drawing. How He would have called Israel under His Almighty feathers, as the Psalmist put it, "I will hide under the feathers of your wing." That was the connotation. The old hen with her brood and He says, "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, how often I would have gathered thy children together even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, but you would not."Little chicks had brains enough to come running. But Israel wouldn’t. Quite an analogy isn’t it? But "You would not." You couldn’t sense your danger. You couldn’t sense the tranquillity under My wings, and you rejected me out of hand. All right, now then, here’s where I think He gives an indication that Israel is going to reject Him and all the promises are going to fall through the cracks until a later time. So, He says in verse 38: Matthew 23:38-39 "Behold, your house is left unto you (what?) desolate. 39. For I say unto you, (Now, here comes the indication; now nobody understood this.
The Twelve didn’t grasp it. They thought everything was going to keep right on coming. He would yet set up His Kingdom. But the Lord knew.) Ye shall not see me henceforth, until (So, it’s still coming, but it’s going to be at a later time.) ye shall say, (that is Israel as a Nation) Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord." That, of course, will be at His Second Coming. All right, now let’s back up into the Old Testament and stop at Zechariah, which is just ahead of Malachi. Drop in with me at chapter 12 and verse 10. This is prophecy and it fits right in with what the Lord said in Matthew 23. God speaking through the prophet says: Zechariah 12:10a "And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they (the Nation of Israel) shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son,…" In other words, when they’re reunited. Not a mourning of death and losing that son, but of a renewed acquaintance like Joseph and his brethren wept on one another’s necks. It was not because they were losing him, but because they were being reunited. All right, and then we read on: Zechariah 12:10b "And shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn." All right, now the next one is in chapter 13, verse 6. Now see, all of this prophetically showed that Christ would suffer and die and then yet set up His Kingdom. Zechariah 13:6a "And one shall say unto him, (That is at His Second Coming, after He has made Himself available to the population.) what are these wounds in thine hands?" Now, what does that tell you? When He returns in that resurrected body, what’s going to be the evidence of His suffering? Nail prints in His hands. He’s coming back physically and visibly in that same body with which He ascended in Acts chapter 1. Here’s the proof of it - prophetically. They’re going to say, when He returns: Zechariah 13:6b "…what are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends." Well, who were His friends? Israel! It’s all so obvious. Now, come back to Isaiah chapter 60 verse 3. Isaiah 60:3a "And the Gentiles shall come to thy light,…" Now see, I hope you have gathered, in all of our studies over the years, that God never instructed Israel to evangelize the Gentiles. Never. Jonah was the lone exception. He was sent to Ninevah. That was all. That was for fulfilling a ‘type.’ But nevertheless, we always like to make it plain and simple that Israel only had one requirement from their God – to be obedient to the Mosaic Law and the system of Law and Temple worship. They were to take it all by faith and look forward to this coming glorious King and His Kingdom. That’s all Israel was expected to know. They knew nothing of a crucifixion. They knew nothing of a death, burial, and resurrection, and God didn’t expect them to. But they were to believe what God was telling them. They would not. They refused it. All right, now if they would have accepted that King and the Kingdom, they could have evangelized the whole world. That was the prospect, because in Exodus 19 God said, "every Jew would be a priest," or a go-between. But when they rejected the King and the Kingdom, they lost that opportunity of evangelizing the Gentile world, because there will be no lost Gentiles in the Kingdom. Now, that’s a no-no, because the Lord Himself said, except a man be born again he cannot see or enter the Kingdom of Heaven. But in the Old Testament prophecies that was Israel’s possibility of being the light to the Gentile world under the Kingship of their Redeemer and their Messiah. But when they rejected Him they lost it all, at least for a couple thousand years.

- - - - - STILES STILINSKI SAID
“I miss him.” @theboyinthehoodie
     Elijah quirked a brow and looked over. “Miss who, exactly?” He asked, almost feeling a hint of jealousy imagining who he could have possibly been speaking of. Then he realized - or thought he realized at any rate - that Stiles was looking at an old photo of the two of them. Who could he possibly miss? Elijah was right here, dammit! “I’m here, little human.” He said softly. And then something occurred to him. Was Stiles missing the person he was two and a half years ago? God. The thought made Elijah ache. “I am right here.” He echoed, moving close and wrapping his arms around Stiles from behind.

Ketubah from Corfu, 1790
Celebrating the wedding of Hayyim Judah (Leon Vita) ben Isaac Maimon Vivante and Sarah bat Joseph Elijah ha-Kohen on Wednesday, 11 Tammuz 5550 (June 12, 1790).
This magnificent marriage contract records a wedding in one of the major centres of ketubah decoration outside of Italy: the Greek island of Corfu. Because this island was under the protectorate of the Republic of Venice from 1387 until 1797, ketubot created in Corfu were strongly influenced by the popular Venetian models of decorated marriage contracts. For example, the corner medallions contain representations of the four seasons, the signs of the zodiac and wedding-appropriate verses from Proverbs (18:22, 19:14), Ruth (4:11-12), Numbers (6:24-27), and Isaiah (61:10-62:3).
Prominently placed at the top centre is an elaborate decorative cartouche featuring a double coat of arms: a hand holding a flag (the emblem of the Vivante family) surrounded by two hands in the formation used during the priestly benediction (the emblem of the Cohen family). Beneath this, a slightly smaller cartouche displays the initials of the bride and the groom.
The text of this ketubah includes two interesting features that are unique to marriage contracts from Corfu: the standard Anno Mundi (years since Creation) count is followed by the number of years since the destruction of the Second Temple. Second, the text of the dowry, written in a smaller semi-cursive script, occupies more than half the document and lists at length and in great detail the various items brought into the marriage, together with their monetary values.

The Chaos Crew
hello and welcome to me explaining/talking about my aus:
today's au is: the Chaos Crew
~~~
this started out as a dinky little idea presented to me by my good friend @galaxysanduniversesinmymind. their idea was, "what if Street from S.W.A.T., Deeks from NCIS, and Buck from 9-1-1 knew each other" and then spiraled from there as we added more and more fandoms. the first fic was posted in January of 2021 and a year and a half later, now has 6 other writers and 38 fics with more planned.
let me tell you, if you'd told me two years ago that a universe I made would blow up so much, I'd laugh because nothing I've ever made has ever blown up like that.
the Chaos Crew universe was originally named 'how two LAPD officers and one firefighter accidentally become the most powerful people on earth' and mostly featured S.W.A.T.'s Jim Street. then, as I branched out into other shows, it gained more and more stars. galaxy started writing a chat fic and truthfully, it only went uphill from there.
if I'm honest with myself I couldn't have done this without galaxy or another friend of ours. this universe grew out of my control and I'm happier for it. so, in honor of 1 and a half years (a totally real anniversary I definitely didn't just make up) here's a bit of explaining what the CC is:
the CC refers to the universe of the Chaos Crew. it also refers to the Chaos Crew consisting of 12 members well versed in creating and survived chaotic situations.
the twelve members are: Jim Street (S.W.A.T.), Marty Deeks (NCIS: Los Angeles), Evan "Buck" Buckley (9-1-1), Matt Casey (Chicago Fire), Jay Halstead (Chicago PD), Will Halstead (Chicago Med), TK Strand (9-1-1: Lone Star), Christopher LaSalle (NCIS: New Orleans), Nick Burkhardt (Grimm), Nick Torres (NCIS), Diego Hargreeves (Umbrella Academy), and Clay Spenser (S.E.A.L. Team)
they have a group chat called Chaos Incarnate, which we'll sums up their interactions and their daily lives. the CI chat has a sister group appropriately named the Chaos Caretakers, nicknamed the Caretakers chat. this chat is for the people who take care of or care for a person in the CI chat.
the people in this chat are Chris Alonso (S.W.A.T.), Eric Beale (NCIS: Los Angeles), Josh Russo (9-1-1), Kelly Severide (Chicago Fire), Adam Ruzek (Chicago PD), Greg "Mouse" Gerwitz (Chicago PD), Connor Rhodes (Chicago Med), Judd Ryder (9-1-1: Lone Star), Sebastian Lund (NCIS: New Orleans), Monroe (Grimm), Jimmy Palmer (NCIS), Klaus Hargreeves (Umbrella Academy), and Brock Reynolds (S.E.A.L. Team)
this is also a Soulmates universe. there are three types of Soulmates: romantic, platonic, and familial.
~
ships include:
The S.W.A.T. Polycule (Jim Street, Donavon Rocker, Victor Tan, Bonnie Lonsdale, Chris Alonso, Erika Rogers)
Densi (Marty Deeks/Kensi Blye)
Calic (Eric Beale/G Callen)
Russley (Evan Buckley/Josh Russo)
Sevasey (Matthew Casey/Kelly Severide)
Mousestead (Jay Halstead/Mouse Gerwitz)
Buruzwater (Adam Ruzek/Kim Burgess/Kevin Atwater)
Rhodestead (Will Halstead/Connor Rhodes)
Tarlos (TK Strand/Carlos Reyes)
Jace (Judd Ryder/Grace Ryder)
Monrosanick (Nick Burkhardt/Monroe/Rosalee Calvert)
Palmtorrezzo (Nick Torres/Jimmy Palmer/Tony DiNozzo)
Lundkingsalle (Christohper LaSalle/Sebastian Lund/Dwayne Pride)
Patchgreeves (Diego Hargreeves/Eudora Patch)
SpiritWitch (Klaus Hargreeves/Elijah Mikaelson)
Reynser (Clay Spenser/Brock Reynolds)
~
Soulmate bonds work quite similarly to a telephone game. Romantic Soulmates get thoughts and feelings, Platonic Soulmates might be able to catch what you thinking and they can feel what your thinking, familial bonds are muted feelings and work of those feelings alone.
the distinction between Soulmates isn't quite clear, sometimes you end up dating your Platonic Soulmate or someone in your familial bond. most people find their Soulmates, but some people don't have Soulmates or don't want a relationship beyond friends or any relationship at all.
a good example of this is Julie and the Phantoms. Julie and Luke are Romantic Soulmates, however, Julie is dating Carrie while Luke is dating Alex and Reggie.
~
fandoms for this universe include:
- SWAT (2017)
English, Please
Tumblr media
Part 15, And All Is Right With The World
~~~
A/N: Oh, wow! It has been a very long, but very fun journey here in the world of English, Please. It was very fun to write and very fun to see what everyone thought of this series! But, sadly, it is time for this series to come to an end. If you had told me when I first started that this idea would end up having fifteen parts to it... I would have nodded and gone “That tracks.” I’m so happy to have done this with all of you, and I’m so glad I got to experience writing/reading Professor Elijah Mikaelson. Thank you so much, and happy reading!
~~~
You had an October wedding in New Orleans. All of your friends and family came, one with an engagement of her own.
The wedding was beautiful, followed by a grand wedding parade that filled the streets with plenty of music and cheers to last a lifetime.
Your wedding present from Elijah was the key to a brand new home for the two of you to share. It was christened that night in more rooms than one.
You did not have your honeymoon until Christmas break. He took you to France, where you spent a week and a half trying new foods, dancing to good music, sightseeing and photographing things for your friends, and having plenty of sex with your new husband.
The next few years were spent getting your degree to teach and attending your friends' weddings. When you finally graduated, Elijah was more than proud of you. To celebrate, he took you to Spain (where you learned he was also well versed in Spanish).
Freya was more than happy to start letting you work that her school. The kids quickly grew fond of you, and you grew fond of the teaching. At first, it was just sub work, until you finally got a class of your own teaching French.
It took some time, but you and Elijah officially settled down. It had been years of finishing college, but now you had a job and a loving husband. You were set, and you were happy.
But there was one thing missing from your life.
You were cuddled up in bed with the TV on one night with Elijah, your head resting on his shoulder as your fingers traced over his chest. "Lijah?" you asked, looking up at him.
He directed his attention to you, humming as his own fingers traced along your back. "You know how we were waiting to get settled before we had children?"
He tilted his head, sitting up slightly. "Yes, why?" he asked, a slight smile tugging at the corner of his lips.
You smiled as well, sitting up a little as you flipped onto your stomach. You pulled your bottom lip between your teeth before admitting quietly, "I'm not on birth control."
His face lit up, and he wrapped an arm around you to pull you to his lips. He kissed you so deeply, you immediately ran out of breath. "Are you serious?" he questioned, his voice barely above a whisper.
You nodded and chuckled, "I want to have your baby, Elijah."
He sat up entirely, pulling you into his lap as he tangled his hands in your hair. He pulled you in to another kiss, his tongue slipping into your mouth as he held you tight.
"You have no idea how long I've been waiting to hear that," he told you, the smile on his face stuck.
You chuckled, "You have no idea how long I've been waiting to do it." You pulled his button down off of him, your hands smoothing against his skin.
LIST OF AU AND CROSSOVER VERSES.
I’m always open to more. I may have some aus that were made for certain plots and threads that aren’t listed here.
BONES
Seeley Booth -
Angel crossover - post A:ts, Angel is made human and given all new memories, his old memories gone. He is now Seeley Booth, and FBI agent, who just so happens to dream of demons.
ANGEL THE SERIES
Angel -
Bones crossover - post A:ts, Angel is made human and given all new memories, his old memories gone. He is now Seeley Booth, and FBI agent, who just so happens to dream of demons.
Shanshu / human au - the powers that be make Angel human, cue him trying to figure out how to be human and still help people.
Cordelia Chase
Pretty much anything set in season 4 and on is gonna be au. I don’t follow canon. Cordy does NOT sleep with Connor, and she doesn’t get pregnant. She may lose her memory and get possessed by Jasmine and end up in a coma, but she survives.
Kathy
Vampire au - instead of killing her, Angelus turns Kathy into a vampire.
Fred Burkle
AU where Fred and Illyria cohabitate in her body. Fred lives, sharing her body with the ancient god, who occasionally takes over, but is otherwise a cranky voice in her head.
DC
Lucy Quinzel
Older au - set roughly 15 years after her main verse, she’s in her mid/late 30s. More details in bio.
Btvs crossover - Lucy is a vampire slayer, set post season seven of btvs
Star Wars crossover- she’s a pirate / smuggler / part time rebel. More details in bio.
Expanse crossover - Belter, lives on Ceres. More details in bio.
DETROIT: BECOME HUMAN
Connor
Machine au - self explanatory, he never becomes a deviant, stays a ‘machine’.
Star Wars crossover - Made to serve the empire/first order. Eventually deviates and joins the rebels. More details in bio.
Chloe
Machine
Deviant - she has been deviant for years, since around the time Elijah left Cyberlife
Gavin Reed
Half brothers au - au where he and Elijah are half brothers. More details in bio.
“Sixty” RK-800-60
Good ending - deviants win. Sixty is damaged but not destroyed in the fight with Connor. More details in bio.
Bad ending - deviants lose. Sixty replaces the previous Connor. More details in bio.
DEXTER
Dexter Morgan
Supernatural crossover - Dexter is a hunter. He was taught by Harry. He uses this as a way to satisfy his murderous urges. He has killed (and will kill) humans, if too long passes between hunts. Deb doesn’t know, Harry didn’t tell her.
HANNIBAL
Will Graham
DC crossover - instead of working in New Orleans before the FBI, Will was a detective in Gotham. Can either take place while he is still a detective or after he joined the FBI.
DC crossover pt.2 - set in season two of hannibal. After too many incidents in BSHCI, Will is sent to Arkham to await trial.
DC crossover pt. 3 - set post season two of hannibal. Will is recruited by Amanda Waller to work with / try and lead and control “Task Force X” (who better to control a group of crazies than someone who can think like a crazy?)
Marvel crossover - Will is a mutant with empathic abilities. After season two of hannibal, he is recruited by shield (or what remains of shield).
Star Wars crossover - A grey Jedi, Will is constantly on the edge between the Light and Dark. He experiences extreme Force Empathy / Telepathy / and visions. This has made him somewhat of an outlier even amongst other Jedi.
MARVEL
Tony Stark
Post endgame main au - he lives, more details in bio.
Post endgame A.I. au - before his death, Tony uploaded his consciousness into a secret server. There is now an A.I version of Tony. More details in bio.
Star Wars crossover - details in bio.
Detroit: Become Human crossover - details in bio.
Expanse crossover - details in bio.
Friday
Detroit: Become Human crossover - details in bio.
Star Wars crossover - details in bio.
Expanse crossover - details in bio
POTC
Elizabeth Swann
Star Wars crossover - Elizabeth, along with her twin sister Tsabin (renamed Sabe), served as handmaidens for Queen Padme Amidala. After her service was done Elizabeth decided to travel, giving in to the wanderlust she always felt. She traveled the mid and outer rim, until she was captured by pirates. Originally, they planned to hold her for ransom, however she struck an accord with her would-be captors. She joined their crew, becoming a pirate. Eventually ((through some plot stuff that I still need to figure out whoops)) she become Captain of her own crew, and then is elected leader of the Brethren Court.
I have the full outline for the verse where this is set; it’s going to be my next WIP as soon as I fail to talk myself out of it.
This scene was not part of that outline. It actually spawned out of thin air. This feels like some kind of omen for how this fic is going to go.
Connor came online at 10:38 PM on the fifteenth of August, 2028, on the highest floor of Cyberlife Tower, in Elijah Kamski’s personal lab. It kept its eyes closed as it finished booting up for the first time and ran an automatic diagnostic of its routines and systems, and only when it received the all clear did it push itself upright and open its eyes to meet the bright-eyed gaze of its creator.
“Good morning, Connor,” Elijah Kamski greeted it, grin wide and pleased, hands planted on the edge of the lab table to lean towards it. “Do you understand your designation and purpose?”
Connor considered him, and then looked down, assessing itself visually for the first time. It had been dressed in a simple, dark sweater, basic jeans standard for a human in their twenties, white cotton socks and… sneakers, dark blue tied with white laces. It tilted its head slightly, and then looked back up and nodded.
“I’ll provide an appearance of physical security to Cyberlife Tower while also keeping a personal eye on the various labs, in order to supervise their conduct,” it answered, using one hand to test the material of its sweater – something elastic and scratchy, not immediately identifiable, so likely a blend.
“And?” Elijah prompted, expression becoming more intense as he leaned closer. Connor cocked its head and ran another check of its directives.
“And I’m also to conduct regular wellness checks on Carl Manfred and the RK200 you gifted him,” Connor answered after a moment. “May I ask for more detail on what you expect a wellness check to consist of?”
Elijah waved his hand in a way Connor assessed as dismissive. “Do a security check, see if he seems sick, check how he and Markus are getting along… Maybe see if you can help out for a bit and get a read on his mood. That sort of thing.”
Connor added those notes into his directive file and reached up to tug lightly at the collar of his sweater. “I understand.”
Elijah gave him another, slightly different grin and held out his hand. Connor stared at it, and Elijah beckoned. Connor turned and slid off the table, and then looked expectantly at Elijah, who waved him on, indicating for Connor to follow him out the door.
“What you need to understand,” Elijah said, as they walked down the vacant hallway, “is that checking on Carl is a high priority. Your security work for Cyberlife is important, no doubt about that – can’t let them running things completely into the ground – and you’ll be coordinating with Amanda on that, I’ll introduce you two in a minute, but you need to check on Carl. Don’t let anyone stop you.”
“You’re planning on leaving,” Connor said simply, drawing the conclusion without difficulty. Elijah nodded, unsurprised, but he did shoot Connor an unabashedly fond look.
“Sooner rather than later,” he confirmed resignedly. “The world just isn’t ready for my designs – you’re too independent, too adaptable. They’d much rather have the mass-produced garbage that our board insists on.” Elijah shook his head, a scowl flickering across his face, and then turned in to another room. “I’m afraid you’ll have to depend largely on Amanda for guidance – I can’t be seen interfering with the company once I leave.”
Connor nodded. “So you activated me to complete a portion of the supervision you will no longer be able to complete,” it concluded. It tugged on the back of its collar again, attempting to calibrate for the texture of the sweater. “Will Amanda be supervising the management and finances?”
“Yes, very good, Connor,” Elijah said warmly. “I’ll be giving the two of you the maximum authority possible, and hopefully that will hold.”
He looked up at a large screen, and Connor followed his gaze. After a moment, the image of a dark-skinned woman with tightly styled hair appeared without background, giving Connor a curt nod and a distinctly assessing look. It nodded in return, already attempting to draw conclusions – perhaps Amanda was an android in another location, given the lack of a background.
“This is Amanda,” Elijah explained, without looking away from the screen, though his lips pressed tightly together for a moment before he spoke. “You will refer to her with she/her pronouns. If you need to answer to someone, answer to her.”
“Hello, Amanda,” Connor said by way of answer, inclining its head respectfully. “I look forward to working with you.”
Amanda gave it a short, curt inclination of her head in return. “I expect you will be an effective and efficient security officer,” she said, crisp and blunt. “Elijah is placing his trust in you.”
Connor nodded without hesitation, and its attention was only drawn away when Elijah clapped his hands.
“You’ll have plenty of time to get to know each other,” he said, something heavy around his shoulders, and beckoned again. “Come on, one more person to meet.”
Connor followed Elijah obediently through another door, and they entered an office space, where RT600 Chloe was idling at a desk. It looked up as they entered and smiled, wide and pleased.
“Connor!” it said, sounding delighted and unconcerned, sitting upright to examine it. “I see Elijah’s woken you up at last. That makes you the youngest of us.” Connor blinked at it, and Chloe elaborated, “Markus was the last of Elijah’s personal designs, at least the ones he’s completed – he was activated just two weeks ago.”
Connor nodded its comprehension, reaching down to tug at the hem of its sweater, considering. “I see.”
“I’d had the two of you finished for a year and a half, but I haven’t had reason to activate you until, well…” Elijah grimaced and did not elaborate. “Anyway, Chloe will fill you in on anything I’ve missed if you have any questions before we leave.”
‘We’ – so Elijah was likely taking Chloe along.
“Is there something wrong with your sweater, Connor?” Chloe asked before Connor could fully consider that, ice blue eyes fixed on Connor, where it was tugging at its sweater again.
“My system is having difficulty calibrating to accommodate the texture,” Connor admitted, casting a brief frown down at its sleeve before instantly refocusing on Chloe.
Elijah let out a delighted laugh. “Is that so! Well, let’s see about a change of clothes, then.”
KNOW GOD’S HINT, KNOW HIS COMING, May 15, 2026
Christ’s return can neither be tarried nor advanced, for He will surely come on the day He has appointed (Habakkuk 2:3-4, Hebrews 10:36-38).
However, the revelation of the vision concerning the end of time has been tarried (Habakkuk 2:3), for it was being sealed in the past (Daniel 12:4, 9) and was only made known in our time.
Consequently, as Daniel inquired concerning the end of time, God gave the number 1260 (TIME, TIMES, and an HALF), which is a hint for the exact year of His return.
Moreover, it was not yet being divulged in the past but had rather only been decrypted in our time.
DANIEL 12:6-7, 13
(6) …HOW LONG shall it be to the END of these wonders?
(7) …it shall be for a TIME, TIMES, and an HALF… all these things shall be FINISHED.
(13) But go thou thy way till the END be: for thou shalt REST, and stand in thy lot at the END of the days.
DANIEL 12:5-7, 11-12
2 – other TWO (verse 5), 1 – ONE (verse 5), 1 – ONE (verse 6)
2 + 1 + 1 = 4
The triangular number of 4 is 10.
TIME, TIMES, and an HALF (verse 7) = 3 ½ years = 1260 days
1260 +10 = 2260 (a flipped figure of 2026)
Another Computation:
1290 – THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED AND NINETY days (verse 11)
1335 – THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED AND FIVE AND THIRTY days (verse 12)
1 + 3 + 3 + 5 = 12
1 x 2 x 90 x 12 = 2160 (flipped figure or 1260)
216(0) +10 = 2260 (flipped figure of 2026)
God’s people in the past had bitter experience (Revelation 10:4-6, 10), for they were not given the wisdom to know the appointed time of Christ’s return.
Nonetheless, the mystery of God’s appointed time, which has been sealed for ages, has now been disclosed at the last trump, which is the seventh angel holding the seventh seal.
REVELATION 10:7, 11
(7) …the voice of the SEVENTH angel, when he shall begin to SOUND, the MYSTERY of God should be FINISHED…
(11) …Thou must PROPHESY AGAIN before many peoples…
1 CORINTHIANS 15:51, 52
(51) Behold, I SHEW you a MYSTERY… we shall all be changed,
(52) …at the LAST TRUMP… the dead shall be raised INCORRUPTIBLE, and we shall be CHANGED.
At the seventh seal, the heaven was left in silence for about half an hour, which clearly pertains to the Second Coming of Christ as He descends with all the heavenly hosts (Matthew 24:31).
REVELATION 8:1 And when he had opened the SEVENTH SEAL, there was SILENCE IN HEAVEN about the space of HALF AN HOUR.
Herein, as God commanded to prophesy again, He gave the number 1260 as a hint for the exact year of Christ’s return, 2026.
REVELATION 11:3, 6
(3) …they shall PROPHESY a THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED and THREESCORE days…
(6) These have power to SHUT HEAVEN, that it RAIN NOT… power over WATERS to turn them to BLOOD…
THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED and THREESCORE days = 1,260 days
The preceding passage directs to the days of Elijah and Moses, which both foretell Christ’s return.
Christ’s Second Advent was being portrayed in the early and latter rain (James 5:7-8), which complements to the days of Elijah when it rained not for about 3 years and 6 months (James 5:17).
3 years & 6 months = 1,260 days
Strange Fates - 2
Tumblr media
Chapter Two: Hello There
Pairing: Eventual Mikaelson bros x Soulmate! Reader
Warnings: nope.
A/N: And so it begins.
***
You didn’t get a chance to call anyone the next morning before you received a text from Cami telling you Marcel had already talked to Jackson. He and his wife would be stopping by around 10 to talk to you. If that wouldn’t work, all you had to do was call. You blinked at the message for a moment before texting back a quick thank you. You weren’t used to people doing things for you. Especially without wanting something in return. Cami was good people.
You glanced at the time and poured yourself a mug of coffee. You carried it into the bedroom with you so you could get dressed before your visitors arrived. You didn’t put much thought into your clothing other than making sure it was something you wouldn’t mind getting dirty. Once the contractors left, you had work of your own to do. After dressing in the first pair of jeans and t-shirt you found, you wandered back out to the kitchen. You’d just refreshed your coffee when there was a knock at the door.
You opened it to find a couple on your doorstep that had to be Jackson and Haley. They both had dark hair and eyes. He was slightly taller than her and had a light beard. They made a lovely couple, that was for sure. “Jackson and Haley Kenner. We own Crescent Moon Contracting.”
You shook both of their hands before stepping back to let them in. “It’s nice to meet you. Come on in.”
They exchanged a look before stepping into the house. “Thank you. Just so you know, you should be careful who you invite into your house around here,” Haley warned.
“Haley,” Jackson chastised before looking at you. “Sorry.”
You pursed your lips. “No, it’s fine. Always good advice no matter where you live. You never know what you might be inviting in. I have my own way of keeping out unwanted guests though.”
You could see the questions burning in their gazes and sipped at your coffee to hide your smirk. Suddenly, you remembered your manners. “I’m sorry. Would either of you like something to drink?”
“No, we’re good. Marcel said you needed some help with some painting?” Jackson prompted.
“We normally don’t do small jobs, but Marcel and Cami said you could really use the help.” Irritation threaded through the woman’s voice.
“Haley,” Jackson all but growled. She huffed and crossed her arms over her chest as he turned his attention back to you. He shook his head slightly. “Sorry again.”
You didn’t even try to hide your smile this time. Their interaction was amusing and it was evident to see they cared for each other. “It’s fine and while I do have some painting to do, that’s just a small part of what I need done both here and at my shop.”
He tilted his head. “Shop?”
“I bought a building not far from here to turn into a bookstore. I’m planning something a little different. Even for New Orleans.” Your grandfather had owned his store for nearly forty years. When he died, it all went to you but you had no desire to stay in that town. So, you closed it up. You packed each book yourself and were amazed at some of the things you’d found buried in his stacks. You’d also obtained a couple of estate collections you hadn’t even had time to catalog yet. You couldn’t wait to get everything the way you wanted it and start setting up the store.
“Great. Let’s get started,” Jackson said as he pulled out a notebook and pencil.
You nodded and began to lead them through the house. It didn’t take you long to point out what needed to be painted and what light fixtures and shelves needed to be installed along with some more extensive work in the kitchen and bathrooms. They hadn’t been updated in decades.
“If you don’t mind me saying, you seem incredibly well-versed in what needs to be done to get the result you’re after,” he said as you finished in the kitchen.
You huffed a laugh. “My grandfather always was a handyman. He taught me everything he knew. I could do most of the work myself but it would take forever and I’m impatient. Plus, the store is a whole separate project and the mere thought of trying to do both at the same time had me pulling my hair out.”
“Honestly, you’ll probably feel that way even with someone else doing the work. Renovations are stressful either way,” Haley said. She had relaxed considerably as you went through the house. Now, she was smiling. You wondered if all strangers made her uncomfortable at first, or if it was just you. Or perhaps all the dollar signs she saw as you added to the list had loosened her up.
“Oh, trust me. I know. Should we go see the shop?” you asked.
“Sounds good,” Jackson said. They waited for you to grab the keys and lock up the house. “Do we need to take the truck?”
You shook your head. “It’s only a few blocks away. We might as well walk.”
They fell into step behind you and let you lead the way.
When you’d gotten about a block from the house, Haley cleared her throat. “If you don’t mind me asking, how exactly do you know Marcel and Cami? I haven’t heard them mention you before.”
You couldn’t keep the grin from your face. “That would probably be because I just met them last night. Cami and I bonded.”
Haley snorted. “Bonded. That sounds like Cami, all right.”
In a few minutes you were in front of the building that would be your store. The windows were soaped up so no one could see inside. You unlocked everything and motioned for them to go in before you.
“I know this building. It used to be a voodoo shop,” Haley said. Your brows shot up in surprise. When she saw the look on your face, she waved her hand through the air. “Not a real one, of course. Just a tourist thing. They had some pretty jewelry.”
She’d be surprised to find out just how much of what the former tenants did was real magic, you thought. You had to do a pretty thorough cleansing when you bought the place.
“Wow,” Jackson breathed.
You turned to find him running his hand along one of the large oak shelves you’d brought with you. “My grandfather built those. I couldn’t bear to leave them behind. As you can see, they need some repair and rejuvenation. I’d like to us them as a starting point for the rest of the space.”
He looked around the space and nodded as if picturing it in his head. “How many shelves are you going to want total?”
“Oh, here,” you said and walked over to the counter to grab a piece of paper. It was a complete layout of how you wanted the main room to look including measurements and counter space. You handed it over to him and he whistled through his teeth.
“You are making my job easy, Y/N. I wish all our clients were as sure about what they wanted as you are.”
“That just means you can work faster, right?” You laughed.
“Actually, it does,” Haley agreed.
You pointed to the paper. “On the back is what I need done in the back room and upstairs as well. It’s not nearly as extensive.”
Jackson flipped the paper over, his eyes scanning over your work. “Is that a stove?” he asked.
You nodded. “With a double oven. I wrote the make and model number down for you on the side there.”
“This is great,” Haley said, peering at the paper from beside him. “Give us a couple of days and we’ll write up an estimate and get it to you.”
“When do you think you’d be able to start?” You bit your lip as you awaited the response. It was unlikely they had an opening right now but you could hope.
The two of them exchanged a look. “Let me make a couple of calls, and I’ll let you know. We can move some things around maybe and we have some extra crew we could call in.”
“That would be great.” And it would, but you’d try not to get your hopes up.
The three of you stepped outside and they moved across the street to look over the front of the building while you locked up. It was in desperate need of a paintjob as well.
When you turned, you found another man stood with them. The three of them were talking, occasionally glancing toward your building. Your mouth instantly went dry as you ran your gaze over the new arrival. Holy shit. He was stunning. You couldn’t think of another word really. He was dressed in a well-tailored suit. Every strand of his dark hair was neatly in place and he held himself with a confidence you rarely saw. He had his hands in his pockets and rocked on his feet as he laughed at something Jackson said.
Realizing you were staring, you turned your attention to your contractors as you walked across to join them. Jackson’s attention was on the other man but Haley was smirking while shooting glances between you and the stranger. Evidently, you’d been caught ogling her friend. Great.
She smacked her husband’s arm with the back of her hand. “Jackson, introduce Elijah to our new client.”
Your face heated and you hoped no one noticed your embarrassment. “Thanks, Haley,” you said with a tight smile. You were almost positive you heard her giggle.
The man’s lips twisted into a half-grin as he offered his hand. “Yes, I’m sorry to have distracted them from your meeting. I had been meaning to call and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to talk to them. I am Elijah Mikaelson. And who might you be?”
“Y/N Y/L/N.” You took his offered hand and gasped as heat flared under the skin on your wrist. Your gaze darted to your joined hands. The three dots of his soulmate mark were visible where they rested near his thumb. The lines to finish it appeared literally in front of your eyes.
Your gaze darted back to his face to find his attention locked on your hands as well. When he looked up, he grinned. “Well, hello there.”
Note
“I can’t stand how they’re looking at you.” (Elijah)
     The corners of the original’s lips curved up into a smirk ripe with amusement, and Elijah followed Stiles’ eyeline. He looked over his shoulder at the girls across the room who were chatting and eyeing him up. “Huh.” He said softly, looking the duo of females over with an appreciative disinterest before he looked back towards Stiles. “The jealousy in you, my little human. Palpable. Funny, though. I never even noticed them.” // @theboyinthehoodie
What Are You Doing Here?
1 Kings 18 describes Elijah’s victorious confrontation of the worshippers of Baal.  The conclusion of the people who watched: 1 Kings 18:39  Now when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, "The LORD, He is God! The LORD, He is God!"
 Later in the chapter Elijah saw the fulfillment of God’s prophesy to him regarding rain upon the land after a three-and-a-half-year drought. These are two incredible revelations of God’s power and faithfulness.
 Yet, in 1 Kings 19, we find Elijah’s life threatened by Jezebel.  Elijah ran and hid.  Twice, the LORD asked Elijah, “What are you doing here?”
Elijah’s response:  1 Kings 19:10 (and again in verse 14)   So he said, "I have been very zealous for the LORD God of hosts…
 As we begin this new year, consider how you might be like Elijah – Do you focus on God’s faithfulness to you or to your expectations of Him because you believe your faithfulness deserves God working on your behalf as payment due?
 May we be challenged by the question, “What are you doing here?”.  What will your answer be for 2020?
 Happy New Year!
