I've long considered the idea of Dragon Knight Draco-Equiste in a Dragunity deck, for a couple reasons. The first is thematically it's a pretty good fit, but the second is that Dragunity Knight - Vajrayana is a compatible fusion target we often leave in the Graveyard, making it ideal for Dragon's Mirror. The problem though, is finding a suitable Warrior. The best option I can think of is Destiny HERO - Malicious, since it works very well with Dragon Ravine, plus Elemental HERO Stratos to search it. You could also try something generally useful like Necro Gardna or Junk Synchron, but fitting those can be tough. Idk, I feel like there's something here but I don't know what

It's often said that the cards made during the Yugioh GX era are almost all terrible. This is true only that the terrible cards were the ones that actually got printed. The anime and manga actually did have good cards, they just weren't printed for years, if ever
#musings#you ever read infernalvania?#field spell that turns every zombie in your hand into a dark hole#and most of the good elemental heroes were printed in the manga#stratos was actually printed in the gx era and it was meta relevant for years#plus light and darkness dragon was the face of the meta for a bit and remained powerful in dragon decks for longer#imagine if they printed the masked heroes in 2007

I’ve been SO burnt out right now and need to interact with others rn so I’m gonna do this:
if your mutuals were a yugioh monster what monster do you think they’d be?
Alright! TIME TO COOK!
You my good friend? Well Rokket Caliber, I wonder why? But honestly, I think you would be like a Cyberse Witch or Summon Sorceress because I think the designs would fit your style as well as being severaly broken in their own right.
@thundermarisol is a good question. Maybe Rokket Tracer? I wonder why, but if going on by power and strength, I would either choose Heatleo or Borreload Dragon as they are her favourite monsters from what I have observered.
@sabellabella Black Rose Dragon. Easy. You love the dragon to death and have so many interesting ideas that is almost insulting that I would bring up any other monster, but it does bite me in the butt if I had to pick a certain other moot.
@angel-of-sweet-revenge Goddess Of Sweet Revenge, do I even need to explain why? But also, I think it would be either Frozen Lady Justice or Ragnazero because of Rio.
@blue-rose-penguin-prince Penguin Soldier or Penguin Brave, as you are making a Penguin deck.
@kingboohoo37 I would've chosen a Ghosttrick monster, but now, with your love of Kim Possible, SPYRAL Double Helix, or, Swordsoul Longyuan.
@the-geek-librarian Probably Aliester Of Invoker mainly due to how Aliester reminds me of Lolo and it kinda fits their style.
@starlightshadowsworld There is no snek that looks like Jaden Yuki, but I do think either Yubel or Winged Kuriboh fits you tbh.
Stardust, look I already chose Black Rose Dragon, and I don't want to make two of the same answers. With that in mind, I will give her Photon Alexandra Dragon due to her love of Dextra or Stardust Dragon due to her love of Yusei.
Me? I want to pick Neos, but I think that might be too much, so I will chose every Hero players favourite dude: Elemental Hero Stratos! Plus, it is combining Heroes and wind like attribute of Yuno.

Hercules (1997 Movie)
Hercules is an animated musical film that retells the ancient Greek myth of the hero Hercules, son of Zeus, the king of the gods. The story follows Hercules, who is born a god but is stripped of his immortality as an infant by Hades, the god of the underworld, and raised as a mortal on Earth. As a teenager, Hercules learns of his divine heritage and sets out on a quest to become a true hero, reclaim his place on Mount Olympus, and reunite with his family.
What makes "Hercules" unique is its blend of ancient mythology with a modern, comedic twist. The film incorporates elements of Greek mythology, such as the Olympian gods, legendary creatures like the Hydra and the Titans, and iconic heroes and villains. However, it infuses these traditional myths with humor, catchy songs, and vibrant animation, creating a lighthearted and entertaining adventure.
Additionally, "Hercules" stands out for its distinctive artistic style, inspired by ancient Greek pottery and art. The film's visual design features bold colors, stylized characters, and dynamic action sequences, setting it apart from other Disney animated movies.
My favorite part of the movie has always been the titans. In the film, the titans are simply these giant elemental-based monsters, and I find their designs and voices to be really cool.
My favorite has always been Stratos, the wind titan. I think the tornado design is awesome, and I've always loved that style of drawing a characters face.

so the most upsetting thing here, starting a new file after not playing for the better part of two years, is the realization that i'm just an absolute mark for any given protagonist's deck archetype
dark magician? fuck yeah, i like wizards. junk? they're basically shitty bionicles, hell yeah! gaga-oh-la-la? see the wizards thing, but also i just dig the design of utopia
and of course my favorite archetype in the entire goddamn franchise, my hole, made for me, Elemental HEROes. i've been lucky enough to get to Stratos already, but i forgot how much it sucked gettin HERO cards in DL, since they're spread out like once per damn box
what if i got back into Duel Links 🤔

E-Hero Post
Look, I just...I'm in a mad Yu-Gi-Oh mood and I just wanna talk about the Elemental HEROes. They're probably one of my favorite archetypes.
Not because of their playstyle, though they are fun to play. No, I mean purely cause of their designs. Back in the day, having basically a group of Superheroes as a deck seemed like a crazy dream, but then the GX Anime came around and I feel in love with these guys. I especially the classic heroes.
The sad reality was that for a long time-at least, it sure felt long-HEROes would just be a fun pet deck. But then they got more generic fusions and things took off from there.
And I do mean off; I don't think HEROes have ever NOT been meta since Absolute Zero was released; the card game equivalent to a ticking time bomb.
And arguably, it's only gotten "worse" ever since the 'Mask Change' cards have come to exist and gave us Masked Heroes Acid (and Dark Law), effectively giving us a full field nuke.
Back to the "Art of the Cards", I just love how wild these cards can look. I'm sure plenty of people have said this, but holy heck, where's my E-Hero Anime?! You could totally have a show about these guys being superheroes in "Skyscraper" as a backdrop. Maybe even use other cards for the villains and monsters they fight!
Could you imagine that?!
The Evil Kozaky unleashing Cyber Dragons into the city, and the one to save the day is Elemental Hero Tempest, in an epic clash as the doctor blows up his own lab and escapes! Heck, if you don't wanna include the fusions, or keep the fusions in a limited role similar to the fusions in Dragon Ball/Steven Universe, then have Avion, Bubbleman, and Sparkman struggle to contain the dragons before combining!
Dogoran is wrecking the city and Avion, Burstinatrix, Clayman, and Bubbleman just can't stop him! But then, boom! Electrum appears on the scene!
A creepy cult is trying to resurrect Zera the Mant! Let's have Shadow Mist crawl through allies and act like a detective!
I just...love these cards so damn much. I just wanna play a game of Mutants & Masterminds where everyone agrees to play an Elemental HERO. XD A task that, realistically, ain't gonna happen, lol, but would be fun.
Wait, I didn't even talk about Ne-

Over the Nexus Deck Profile: Masked HERO
Masked HERO is a strange branch on the HERO tree. It consists solely of Fusion Monsters that can only be Summoned with a specific Spell Card (Mask Change), they might as well be Evil HEROES given the lack of specific support while working with Elemental HEROES Ocean and Stratos, and in Over the Nexus there's only two of them. Masked HEROES Goka and Vapor aren't impressive by themselves, just having very basic effects that pale in comparison to Elemental HEROES Nova Master and Absolute Zero, but the strength of Masked HEROES lies not in the Monsters but in Mask Change itself; it's a Quick Play Spell that replaces one of your Monsters with a new one. Basically, this means we can attack with a FIRE or WATER HERO Monster, then use Mask Change to summon Goka or Vapor and attack with that too. And hey, y'know what else is a Quick Play Spell? Super Polymerization. This Deck's strategy is simple; use Mask Change and Super Polymerization to Summon Monsters during our Battle Phase to get as many attacks in as possible. Ideally, this is used to win the Duel with sheer battle damage, if not pull of an OTK. By attacking several times in one turn, this kind of Deck hopes to end the Duel before your opponent gets a chance to respond. You bide your time, collecting the pieces for a combo like this with Pot of Duality, then take the chance to go ham. It's a very silly strategy, but very effective in my experience. Here's the list: MONSTERS (14): Elemental Hero Bubbleman x2 Elemental Hero Heat x3 Elemental Hero Lady Heat x2 Elemental Hero Neos Alius x3 Elemental Hero Ocean x3 Elemental Hero Stratos x1 SPELLS (23): Dark Hole x1 E - Emergency Call x3 Future Fusion x1 Gemini Spark x2 Mask Change x3 Miracle Fusion x3 Monster Reborn x1 Mystical Space Typhoon x2 Pot of Duality x3 Reinforcement of the Army x1 Super Polymerization x3 TRAPS (3): Royal Decree x3 EXTRA DECK: Dragon Knight Draco-Equiste x1 Elemental Hero Absolute Zero x3 Elemental Hero Gaia x1 Elemental Hero Great Tornado x1 Elemental Hero Nova Master x3 Elemental Hero The Shining x1 Masked Hero Goka x2 Masked Hero Vapor x2
