The phrase "Never Surrender" evokes a combative stance, reflecting Trump's confrontational political style and his supporters' view of politics as an ongoing struggle against perceived establishment forces. It suggests an unwillingness to concede defeat, both in reference to the contested 2020 election results and to broader ideological battles.
This slogan appeals to Trump's base by portraying him as a resilient fighter against political opponents, media criticism, and legal challenges. It frames his potential 2024 run as a continuation of his political movement rather than a new campaign.

The message resonates with supporters who view Trump as a disruptive force in traditional politics and who believe his agenda was unfairly obstructed during his presidency. It also serves to maintain enthusiasm and unity among his followers in the period between elections.
"Trump 2024 Never Surrender" encapsulates the polarized nature of contemporary American politics, where Trump remains a dominant and divisive figure. It reflects the ongoing influence of his political style and messaging on a significant portion of the Republican Party and its base.
"President Legend For Men & Women" appears to be a phrase combining political admiration with a product or concept aimed at broad appeal across genders. This could refer to merchandise, a book, or a campaign slogan that seeks to portray a particular president or presidential candidate as a legendary figure.

The inclusion of "For Men & Women" suggests an attempt to emphasize inclusivity and wide-ranging appeal. It may be targeting a diverse audience, aiming to bridge gender gaps in political support or consumer preferences.
If referring to a specific president, it likely alludes to one who has achieved significant popularity or notoriety, possibly transcending traditional political boundaries. The term "Legend" implies a level of admiration that goes beyond typical political support, elevating the figure to an almost mythical status.
This phrase could be used in various contexts:

Things To Know To Get Your Vote Counted — Non-Exhaustive List
[Plain text: "Things To Know To Get Your Vote Counted — Non-Exhaustive List."]
Post date: October 28, 2024. Contains information relevant to both in-person and absentee voting.
Same Day Voter Registration:
[Same Day Voter Registration:]
If you're not already registered to vote, over 20 states (and DC) allow you to register while you're at the polling place on election day (or for early voting). If you're making a last-second decision to vote, or you thought you were registered but found out you weren't, these states give you options up until (insert time the polls close) on November 5th.
Tumblr media
[ID: map with states shaded where same-day registration is allowed in 2024. States that allow it are: California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. (North Carolina only allows it during early voting.) End ID.] (Source: Ballotpedia)
Alaska and Rhode Island only allow same-day registering voters to vote for president/vice president. North Carolina only allows same-day registration in the early voting period. Most states require an ID and/or proof of residency to register as usual — the Ballotpedia page is a good starting point for researching requirements in your own state.
Casting a Provisional Ballot:
[Casting a Provisional Ballot:]
Provisional ballots are cast by voters who can't prove they are eligible to vote at the polling place on Election Day. For example, if you:
don't have a photo ID on you, but it's required in your state?
requested an ID ballot, but had to vote in person because you didn't receive it?
changed your name or address, but it doesn't show up in the registration information?
have your eligibility challenged by a poll worker for any reason?
Then you should ask for a provisional ballot. Moreover, federal law requires election officials to offer voters a way of tracking whether their vote was counted. Many states have online provisional ballot trackers.
Provisional ballots are used in all states except for Idaho and Minnesota. To learn more about your specific state, I recommend the National Conference of State Legislatures (archive link if the site is down).
Tracking Your Ballot and Curing Signatures:
[Tracking Your Ballot and Curing Signatures:]
In addition to provisional ballots, if you've submitted an absentee ballot, Vote.org compiles ballot trackers to ensure your ballot is received — the vast majority of states have an online version.
Moreover, if voting absentee, familiarize yourself with your state's cure period for signature errors, and be on the lookout for communication in case your signature is found not to match. 33 states require some kind of notification and ballot-curing process — which means that if your ballot is rejected, you have a chance to fix it, albeit most likely needing to appear in person.
Be Careful About Phones, Ballot Selfies, Political Clothing:
[Be Careful About Phones, Ballot Selfies, Political Clothing:]
Many states disallow taking pictures of your ballot, and even some of the states listed as "allowing" it only do so under specific conditions (ex: your face isn't in the photo, the photo isn't taken at the polling place, et cetera). Moreover, several states go even further, and ban phones at the polling place altogether. Nevada, Maryland, and Texas are the states I'm aware of, but there may be more.
Also, at least 21 states ban political apparel or buttons in polling places. Regarding both apparel and phones, it is also possible that cities could set their own rules, so you should err on the side of caution unless you know for a fact what's allowed and what isn't.
Responding to Voter Intimidation:
[Responding to Voter Intimidation:]
866-Our-Vote (866-687-8683) is a hotline you can contact, which will help connect you with lawyers and federal investigators. Their website also lists hotlines in Spanish, Arabic, and some East & Southeast Asian languages. If you witness or experience a civil rights violation, you should write down your account for future reference, contact the DOJ Civil Rights Division, and possibly also a local ACLU division.
Other Information:
[Other Information:]
Getting time off work to vote, state-by-state
State election department contact information
Vote411 (voting law information & candidate information)
If anyone notices an error or broken link in this post, please let me know so I can correct it. If anyone would like to add on information in the notes, please do so — especially if it's specific to your state! Please just include a source if possible, and present the information as accessibly as you can. Overall, good luck out there.

Short video (2:42)
"Ziklag, a secret charity funded by wealthy conservative donors, whose members include the families behind Hobby Lobby and Jockey apparel, is spending millions to mobilize Republican-leaning voters and purge more than a million people from the voter rolls in key swing states, aiming to tilt the 2024 election in favor of former President Donald Trump."

Asawin Suebsaeng, Tim Dickinson, and Ryan Bort at Rolling Stone:
Donald Trump — the twice impeached former president, Jan. 6 coup leader, convicted felon, adjudicated sexual abuser, and man who mismanaged the 2020 economic implosion and coronavirus disaster that killed more than 1 million people in this country — has convinced American voters to give him another term in the White House.
After a campaign marked by nativism, open bigotry, and aspiring authoritarianism, Trump triumphed over Vice President Kamala Harris, despite being denounced by several of those who worked most closely with him in his first term as a “fascist.” The 45th president will become the 47th in late January. Trump got out to an early lead on Tuesday and never looked back, securing North Carolina and Georgia before shattering the Democratic “blue wall” of Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin. The race was called at 5:35 a.m. EST by the Associated Press after Trump earned 270 electoral college votes by winning Wisconsin. [...]
The stakes of a Trump victory could not be higher for many of the most vulnerable people living in this country. Trump’s central campaign promise has been to embark on the largest mass-deportation program in the nation’s history, a supercharged version of a racist Eisenhower-era program called “Operation Wetback.” Trump has promised to forcibly remove millions, and said that it will be a “bloody story.” He has vowed to employ local law enforcement, sheriffs, and, if necessary, the armed forces.
Trump has also vowed to use the Justice Department as an instrument of revenge on his political enemies, to crack down on media outlets that have criticized him, to hollow out the professional ranks of the federal government (and stock it full of his MAGA cronies), and to impose massive tariffs that will increase the cost of everything from avocados and automobiles to iPhones and apparel.
America’s democracy has rarely been in a more fragile place. The country has chosen a leader who has promised to govern as a strongman, and who will not be held accountable for breaking the law, thanks to a ruling by his hand-selected, far-right Supreme Court majority that puts the presidency beyond the reach of criminal prosecution. This implausible victory — coming after a chaotic campaign that saw Democrats change candidates mid-election, and Trump galumph down the closing stretch with an increasingly bizarre series of stunts, including dressing up as a garbage man — also has huge stakes for Trump personally.
As early as the summer of 2021, according to three sources familiar with the matter, longtime political operatives and GOP lawmakers on Capitol Hill who had remained in direct contact with Trump were coalescing around a shared belief: If the criminal investigations into the former president keep ramping up, and especially if charges materialize, there is no way he doesn’t run for the presidency again. This conviction was based on conversations these Trump allies had been having with the ex-president at the time, when Trump’s fixation on, and barely veiled anxiety about, prosecution and potential prison sentences was already palpable. As time inched closer and closer to the 2022 midterm elections, Trump would, in discussions with close advisers about running again, increasingly ramble about the unique legal protections from prosecution that a sitting American president enjoys.
Two years, several history-making indictments of a former president, and billions of dollars later, those anxieties continued to fester in Trump’s brain. Over the 2024 election season, he and his allies had brainstormed and plotted numerous ways to shield him from dire legal consequences; earlier this year, the former president personally pressured multiple Republican lawmakers to pass legislation essentially designed to keep him out of prison forever. (This law did not pass, but stay tuned.)  Trump appears in the clear for at least another four years after voters handed him his long-coveted get-out-of-jail-free card on Tuesday. [...]
Trump won this year even though — and, surely in some cases, because — he ran on imposing upon the American people and global community an openly authoritarian regime concerned largely with score-settling. In addition to pledging mass deportations, militarized crackdowns, and disassembling and reconstructing the federal government around protecting and empowering himself, the former president loudly and explicitly ran on a platform of letting fellow Americans die if he doesn’t get his way or if your local leaders don’t bend to his will. Trump has recently threatened to deny potentially life-saving natural disaster aid to states whose leaders don’t bend to his wishes, threats that should be taken seriously given his history of withholding such aid for political reasons.
[...] Trump’s win demonstrates that the most powerful people in the country are indeed above the law. An elderly, foul-mouthed, racist game-show host can try, in broad daylight, while the TV cameras are fixed on him, to execute a coup d’état in our nation’s capital, people can die from it, and in a few short years be rewarded with the full-throated support of his political party, and now the keys to the White House.
For just the 2nd time in American history, A president who previously lost an election wins a 2nd non-consecutive term, as Grover Cleveland was the first to do so.
34x convicted felon, insurrection-inciter, adjudicated rapist, fascist, and vile bigot Donald J. Trump, who tried everything he could to sabotage his re-election bid, won the 2024 elections… this time with the popular vote to likely swing his way.
Assuming the 2-terms limit applies to consecutive and nonconsecutive terms, 2028 will be a wide open Presidential election for both parties (provided that America has free elections still at that point).

Kamala Harris 2024: How She Plans to Unite the Democratic Party
"Kamala Harris 2024" refers to the potential presidential candidacy of current U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election. This phrase encapsulates the speculation, anticipation, and debate surrounding Harris's political future and her possible run for the nation's highest office.
Tumblr media

As the first woman, first Black person, and first person of South Asian descent to serve as Vice President, Harris's potential candidacy carries significant historical weight. Her supporters view a 2024 run as a natural progression and an opportunity to further break barriers in American politics.
The phrase also reflects the complex dynamics within the Democratic Party. With questions about President Joe Biden's age and whether he will seek re-election, Harris is often seen as a logical successor. However, her path to the nomination is not guaranteed, as she would likely face competition from other prominent Democrats.

"Kamala Harris 2024" also serves as a lightning rod for political discourse. Supporters tout her experience and vision, while critics question her readiness for the presidency or disagree with her policy positions. The phrase has become shorthand for discussions about the future direction of the Democratic Party and American politics more broadly.
This keyword encompasses not just a potential campaign, but also broader themes of representation, political succession, and the evolving landscape of American democracy. It represents both the hopes of her supporters and the challenges she would face in a presidential bid.

"Election President Democrat" refers to the process and dynamics of selecting a Democratic candidate for the U.S. presidency. This phrase encapsulates the complex journey from primary campaigns to the general election, where Democratic hopefuls vie for the chance to lead the nation.
The Democratic presidential nomination process involves a series of primary elections and caucuses across states, where party members vote for their preferred candidate. This culminates in the Democratic National Convention, where the party officially nominates its presidential candidate.
Key aspects of this process include:
Candidate debates and town halls
Fundraising efforts
Policy platform development
Grassroots organizing and voter outreach
Media coverage and public scrutiny

The chosen Democratic nominee then faces the Republican candidate in the general election, competing for electoral college votes. This process highlights the party's values, policy priorities, and vision for the country's future, while also reflecting broader political trends and voter concerns.

The illegal "spiritual battle" over the US elections
A network of ultrawealthy Christian donors is spending nearly $12 million to mobilize Republican-leaning voters and purge more than a million people from the rolls in key swing states, aiming to tilt the 2024 election in favor of former President Donald Trump. These previously unreported plans are the work of a group named Ziklag, a little-known charity whose donors have included some of the wealthiest conservative Christian families in the nation, including the billionaire Uihlein family, who made a fortune in office supplies, the Greens, who run Hobby Lobby, and the Wallers, who own the Jockey apparel corporation. Recipients of Ziklag’s largesse include Alliance Defending Freedom, which is the Christian legal group that led the overturning of Roe v. Wade, plus the national pro-Trump group Turning Point USA and a constellation of right-of-center advocacy groups.
The reporting by ProPublica and Documented “casts serious doubt on this organization’s status as a 501(c)(3) organization,” said Roger Colinvaux, a professor at Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law.
“I think it’s across the line without a question,” said Lloyd Hitoshi Mayer, a University of Notre Dame law professor.

AATCC announces 2025-2026 board of directors
Tumblr media
This fall, AATCC individual members elected their 2025-2026 President and Interest Group Board of Directors representatives. Election results were announced at the AATCC Annual Meeting, preceding the Technical Committee on Research (TCR) meeting on November 13, 2024. All officers began their term on January 1, 2025
President
Christina Rapa, W.L. Gore and Associates, will serve two years as President before continuing to Immediate Past President for two years.
Rapa has been an advocate for AATCC for over 23 years. Starting as a Textile Engineering student at both Jefferson University and NC State and continuing through the formation of the Northwest chapter in Portland/Seattle in the early 2000s, she now serves as the Delaware Valley chapter Chair.
As the Material Interest Group chair for the last 3.5 years, she has invited members via webinar to hear diverse speaker topics such as “Space Textiles”, “Biobased leather”, “Advances in regenerated cellulose” and “Seaweed fiber”. As an engineer in the Fabrics division at W.L. Gore and Associates, she focuses on digital transformation, including 3D material creation and PLM software implementation.
Rapa will be a member of the Board for all four years, providing continuity and guidance to the Association. When Rapa became President, John Crocker, SDL Atlas, became Immediate Past President.
Interest Groups
AATCC members participate in one or more interest groups to network, learn, and share ideas with like-minded colleagues. Each member may select one “voting” interest group from which they elect representatives to the AATCC Board.
The Chemical Applications Interest Group re-elected Sabyasachi Gaan, as Chair. Sabyasachi Gaan received his PhD in chemistry from UC Davis in 2007. He has been working at Empa in Switzerland since 2007 and is currently head of the Additives and Chemistry group in the Laboratory of Advanced Fibers. His group specializes in the development of functional polymer and metal additives, synthesis and modification of sustainable thermoset and thermoplastic polymers, and recycling of polymers. He has been a member of AATCC since 2016, served on the AATCC Journal of Research Committee, and currently serves as the AATCC Chemical Applications Interest Group Chair.
The Concept 2 Consumer Interest Group elected Chris Hipps as Chair. Chris Hipps is the Global Director of the Color Management business at Archroma. He has been with Archroma since 2014. Prior to this, from 1998 to 2014, he was with Datacolor, Oxco, and CAE Simuflite in various technical, sales, and marketing positions. Beginning his career as a process engineer and shift dyeing manager at Dixie Yarns’ Caroknit division, he graduated from NC State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Textile Science and then earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Hipps has been a member of AATCC since 1992 and was the interim Chair for the Concept to Consumer Interest Group.
The Materials interest group has elected Apurba Banerjee as Chair and Yongxin Wang as Vice-Chair. Banerjee has served as the At-large Member since 2021.
Apurba Banerjee is a Textile Research Scientist at Standard Textile Corporation (STC). As a key member of the Research and Development department, she plays a pivotal role in bringing sustainable, value-added products to life in the realms of Hospitality, Healthcare, and Interiors. Banerjee is a proud alumna of the University of Georgia, where she earned her Ph.D. in Polymer, Fiber, and Textile Science in 2017. Prior to that, she honed her craft at Colorado State University, graduating with a master’s degree in Apparel and Merchandising in 2013. Banerjee has a passion for advancing industry benchmarks through her multiple voluntary leadership roles in organizations like AATCC and ASTM International.
Yongxin Wang is a Materials Manager at W.L. Gore & Associates, Inc. She has been with W.L. Gore & Associates, Inc. since 2018. Prior to this, Wang worked at VF Corporation as a Materials Research Manager, where she worked as a project lead, and gaining extensive experience on raw materials and their properties, textile manufacturing/processing/structure, and their relationship with apparel performance. Wang received her Master’s in Textile Materials and Product Design from Donghua University, Shanghai China in 2010, and went on to receive her Ph.D. in Fiber and Polymer Science from North Carolina State University in 2013. Her experience in textiles is demonstrated in her numerous publications throughout her career. Wang has been a member of AATCC 2021.
In 2023, AATCC newly established the Rising Professionals Interest Group. The group is focused on supporting individuals as they embark on a career in textiles. Members include recent graduates as well as seasoned professionals transitioning from other industries and those who just want to learn more about navigating opportunities for growth.
The Rising Professionals interest group re-elected Jessica Brooks as Chair and Monét Freeman as Vice-Chair.
Jessica Brooks is the Colorist for the Vertical Business Units for W. L. Gore & Associates. She has been with Gore since 2021. In addition, Brooks is an adjunct faculty at Thomas Jefferson University and teaches the Color, Dyeing & Finishing course. Prior to this, she was the Dye Lab & Technical Manager for Darlington Fabrics. Brooks has been a member of AATCC since 2013 and is currently the Vice Chair of the AATCC Delaware Valley Section and the Chair of the RISE Interest Group. She is a member of the RA36 Color Measurement Test Methods committee and on the AATCC Board of Directors. She feels very strongly in helping push future generations into taking active roles within AATCC and promoting a mentorship space within the association.
Monét Freeman serves as a Physical Testing Specialist at the Textile Technology Center at Gaston College, with six years of professional experience steering all facets of manufacturing, quality and testing, operations management, and coordinating industry training. Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, Freeman completed her studies in Textile Technology at North Carolina State University’s Wilson College of Textiles. Freeman is a strong believer that, no matter what, there is always room for improvement and perfecting your craft. Her interest in the Rising Professionals Interest Group stems from her own personal experience of not feeling fully equipped with the tools for career development or networking right out of school.
Opportunities
While AATCC Board elections only occur every two years, there are many ways to get involved. Taking a leadership role on a committee or task group is an excellent way to make connections and gain valuable experience. To learn more about available opportunities, contact Gregg Woodcock, AATCC Executive Director ([email protected]) or any Board or staff member.
