Headcanon: Black iron is an extremely durable (but very dense) metal forged using dragonfire. Vyke's spear and Radahn's bow are both black iron. The bow was a gift from Greyoll given when the Redmanes and Barrow Dragons finalized their non-interference pact. Radahn gave her a nest at the highest livable point in Caelid, and she gave him a bow, signifying mutual trust (and acknowledging their respective capabilities for mutually assured destruction).

If Legend of Zelda characters were in Elden Ring

Link: Accidentally turns it into a Comedy Wife Guy/Harem anime by being endearingly nice and adorably clueless. Oops. Girls include Nepheli Loux, Zoryas, Rodericka (whom he knocks out and drags out of Roundtable Hold), Sellen (after he gets Queen Rennala to use her egg to rebirth her), and final girl Ranni. Zelda: Did someone say Magus build? Because we’ve got a Magus build here. Best friends with Sellen whom she manages to save because she’s a genius. Befriends all the Dragons like a Disney Princess. Ends up with an Age of the Duskborn ending after careful consideration.

Ganondorf: Death Knight Build, 100%. This magnificent bastard tears through the Lands Between, squeezing every bit of Power he can out of it. My man absorbs the Power of the Frenzied Flame but does he let it consume him like a chump? Hell no! Ganondorf masters it and ascends to Godhood like a champ. Rides Elder Dragon Greyoll to the Erdtree blasting Highway to Hell all the way. Cures Malenia of her rot with the needle and leads her to Mohg, retrieving Miquella, securing her eternal loyalty and getting the ultimate bodyguard. Becomes Elden Lord with Melina as his Consort.

Young Link: Who let this sassy lost child out? Who gave him the Moonveil Katana and do a Samurai build?! Immediately adopted by Renalla. None of the other Tarnished will let him go out without supervision despite being more competent and dangerous than all of the together. Becomes allies with Morgott and gets his help in getting to the Elden Ring. Makes Morgott the Elden Lord when it comes time since he was the only one to step up and act like a King when shit hit the fan.

Oof, those Elden Ring bosses. I feel Greyoll the elder dragon is the most cruel one of them all because when you see her immobile and ailing she's being defended by smaller dragons. Each small dragon killed takes a chunk off her health, and after killing 5 little ones Greyoll dies. Then post defeat you see her title, and it's "Dragon Mother". You just killed her children in front of her while she was helpless, and you slew her not physically but emotionally 😭😭😭

Didn’t want to send this in PM, so here’s a list of all dragons in From Soft’s most recent-ish games.

Demon’s Souls: Blue Dragon, Red Dragon, Dragon God (technically a demon)

Dark Souls: The Gaping Dragon, Seath the Scaleless, Stone Dragon, Hellkite Drake, Zombie Dragon, Black Dragon Kalameet.

DS2: Guardian Dragon, Sinh the Slumbering Dragon.

DS3: Oceiros the Consumed King (technically), Ancient Wyvern, King of the Storm, Arch Dragon.

Sekiro, Shadows Die Twice: Divine Dragon

Elden Ring has a ton of dragons, most of whom are pallet swaps/copy pasted with different names, so I’ll just list the ones that stick out for me: Glintstone Dragon Adula, Magma Wyrm Makar, Dragon Lord Placidusax, Lich Dragon Fortissax, Elder Dragon Greyoll.

almost feels like a wasted opportunity that we don't have dialogue options with any of the dragons. Greyoll, Lanseax, Ekzykes, Placidusax... even theodorix. I wanna say hi :(

you’re so right, I really wish we’d have gotten some dialogue or even a single quote from some of the dragons in the game! we know many of them are intelligent, and have formed interesting relationships with other characters… like Fortissax and Godwyn, Lansseax and Vyke (she even spent time in human form!), and Adula and Ranni! it’s a shame that dragons interacting with humans is only ever vaguely mentioned in text.

{{Rough ideas for an ER questline involving scarlet rotted Gwynfor, assuming you have let him and the dragons right outside of Forth Faroth live until late game:

Gwynfor is like Bloodborne's Retired Hunter Djura in this questline if Djura was also stricken with beasthood and had to be put down alongside the beasts he tried so hard to protect in Old Yharnam

He is also like Drakengard's Caim with the red dragon Angelus in that Gwynfor goes after great lengths to find a way to allieviate the pain of the elder dragon Greyoll, this includes killing people

So anyway you know how you can hunt for and apparently eat dragon hearts for a Dragon Communion

Gwynfor's scarlet rotted brain logic makes him think that the strength should be returned to the dragons AKA he will take the hearts of those who have partaken in Dragon Communion and feed them to the ill elder dragon

Does it work? No of course not, this is a FromSoft game

If you as the player character have bought at least half the dragon incantations AKA consumed a decent number of dragon hearts, Gwynfor will invade you outside of whatever Church of Dragon Communion you are currently visiting

Killing him noticeably weakens Greyoll back at Fort Faroth assuming you hadn't killed everyone earlier because why would you >:(

Also, once you kill him, you can confirm that the scarlet rot had taken hold of him after all through his unique weapon and outfit set descriptions (basically a visual variation of his stuff from DS3)

Prior to this, if you had revisited Fort Faroth later in the playthrough, Gwynfor is just gone instead of being an NPC you can visit and talk to per usual, but the ill dragon is still around

Killing the dragon here actually doesn't lead to Gwynfor invading, but reload the area and he will stand outside of the fort mournful that he couldn't save Greyoll after all (he does not know you killed her, he has assumed the scarlet rot finally did the dragon in per passive dialogue you hear as you approach)

If you actually talk to him and you've bought enough dragon incantations to have your eyes change, he Will notice and angrily accuse you of killing the dragon for her heart

And then like laugh and say something along like "It is too late to help Greyoll now but I can still take your heart like I have the others of your ilk"

TL:DR ~ Gwynfor tries so hard to cure Greyoll that the scarlot rot that has infected him and the surrounding lands drives him mad and drives him to sacrifice people to the elder dragon.}}
