Let the Flower Grow

Inspired by @wiltingxrose story she started

Elain walked to the kitchen and she heard Rhysand and Lucien talking in the main hall. She paused, not really listening, but she did want to hear what they were talking about in case it was about her. Elain wasn’t being vain but she knew her mate and herself were going through a growth spurt and she didn’t want to get surprised, but she was wrong they were talking about how terrible the Spring court was looking without Tamlin in control of his beast. The land is dying and needing someone to take care of it and make it at least presentable for Calanmai. 

All Elain knew about Calanmai was that it was important to the Spring Court like Solstice and Star Fall was for the Night Court. And well she had heard the rumors of what happened with her mate there. Or what he endured in place of Tamlin to the awful priestess. One where she currently felt the need to resurrect and kill herself for what she put Lucien through. 

This was a side effect of the bond she wasn’t sure to having, she was starting to get….not possessive or territorial, but taking ownership of it And she wasn’t sure how to navigate that.  

Elain heard Lucien’s fire and passion in his voice talking about the need to help the court. In her heart she knew he still considered Tamlin a friend even if he had tossed him out. It wasn’t his fault. He went with Feyre to help her. And with talks of a mating ceremony, she didn’t want Lucien not to have anyone there. 

Thinking for a moment she moved to where they were and said, “I can help.”

   Rhysand turned to look at her before stating, “No.”

She rolled her eyes and gazed at Rhysand, “You know that I want to help. I volunteered to help with the troves. I want to help and not be viewed as useless.”

Taking a breath she pointed at her mate and said, “You can come and help me. You know the place. You know how to keep Tamlin controlled and who better to work with plants than me?”

  Rhysand signed and looked at Lucien before saying, “We’ll see what Ferye says and then decide.”

Now she stood there in the garden after they came up with a plan, three days and nights they would stay. Three back and so forth. She didn’t know how much she could get done in that time frame and she didn’t even know if Tamlin would accept help. 

Taking a few steps, she stalled hearing movement from behind her and she hoped it wasn’t the creatures her sister talked to her about, but Tamlin. Who arguably her sister would call a creature.

Other plots:

enemies to lovers, our characters hate each other and have frequent hate sex as an unhealthy coping mechanism to serve as a distraction. they are in deep denial about their feelings and keep the arrangement strictly physical, until they can’t any longer.

good omens only: crowley and aziraphale decide they want to explore the human act of intercourse, exploring what each other like in the bedroom as they learn about their boundaries and various kinks, leading to BDSM. they are only friends wishing to indulge in a new human interest they realize they really enjoy, leading to eventual relationship. dom!aziraphale
