Hello! Here is my contribution to @egg-plosion 2024! This is a short 7 chapter fic set in the WASCA universe, based off of the attached artwork by @quentintin7. I will be posting 1 chapter per day for 7 days 💚

There, sitting on the edge of Alastor's bed, legs lazily crossed with one hand splayed out behind him, is Lucifer. His expression is strangely inscrutable, and Alastor despises the way it crawls down over him, taking in every loathsome detail of the humiliating state he's found himself in.

"Get out," he rasps—because there's no use asking how he got in. There probably isn't a single place in Hell that could keep Lucifer out if he put his mind to it. "Or are you enjoying the view that much?"

"Honestly?" Though Lucifer does not exactly smile, a dark shadow of amusement dances across his face before being replaced by something more resigned, almost disappointed. "Not as much as I thought I would. It's kind of pathetic, actually."

Alastor hadn't wanted anyone to see him like this, least of all Lucifer.

rating: T words: 4764 summary: Pentious had seen plenty of gnarly wounds in his time in Hell, but most of those injuries were on Sinners who would more or less regenerate given some time. He hasn’t had many opportunities to interact with the Hellborn, to study their particular anatomy. It’s fascinating, from a purely scientific standpoint. And he can’t help but wonder what exactly left this imp in such a rough condition… “Hellfire.” Fizzarolli’s gaze stays trained on the floor. Pentious almost thinks he sees tears welling up in them, but it could be a trick of the light. Before he can question it, Fizzarolli’s face breaks into a wide, forced smile. “Everyone says I’m lucky, though.” -- Or, what if Sir Pentious was enlisted to help Fizz after the fire rather than Ozzie?

Alastor hummed, turning his gaze about the courtyard. “Yes, it really is something to see two souls dedicate themselves to each other with such abandon. Quite romantic, don’t you think?” At his meaningful look, it finally clicked in Angel’s mind and he groaned. “Oh, here we go.” ~*~ Angel attends Molly and Husk's wedding, the first of its kind between an angel and a demon. Alastor is there, not only to immortalize the event on his show, but also to sway Angel's opinion on marriage. Angel, who only recently got out of one soul-binding relationship, isn't eager to enter into another so soon. Written for the Egg-Splosion 2024 event and inspired by art from the lovely ornithia.

Lucifer had never really thought of himself as a particularly avoidant person – okay, that was a lie. A big lie. But hey, he was the Father of Lies for a reason! What sort of liar would he be if he couldn’t even successfully lie to himself, right? Heh. Right. Since the little fiasco with the thunder-hail-lightning-earthquake deal, Lucifer had avoided being alone in a room with Alastor. He didn’t want to answer the questions he knew the demon would ask about what had happened. He didn’t want to admit that, somehow, he’d lost control of his own powers. How, for some reason, Alastor was able to trigger a musical magic that had lain dormant in Lucifer for- for decades. Centuries, maybe. He certainly hadn’t accidentally triggered it since Charlie had been conceived. He didn’t want to think about what it meant that Alastor of all demons had been the one to break it loose again. Alastor, for his part, didn’t seem to be seeking Lucifer out – nor was he avoiding him. He just minded his business about the hotel as usual, and if that meant they were in the same space then so be it, and it was on Lucifer to leave. Which he did. Every time.
