Happy 1 year anniversary to Mr Sherlock Holmes! Here's a litttleee celebratory comic from me

do you pencil traditionally and then colour digitally, or do you just have a very convincing digital pencil brush? I really love the organic, sketchy feel of your work.
I always sketch and ink on paper first, then scan the piece and color it digitally.
#haven't quite learned how to do the whole process digitally from start to finish in a way that feels natural and satisfying#I enjoy the physicality and lo-fi nature of pens and paper#and the quick and easy coloring and editing possibilities of digital art#99.9% of my art is made this way#sometimes I go fully traditional but never fully digital#answered#spadefish

it’s my first ever hardcover bind so i was prepared to make a lot of silly little mistakes and this one definitely does, but i love how it turned out still, i think she’s so cute .. i’m also just happy to finish a personal project that took up so much time to make 🥹

If you don't see me in the lab at Los Guachimontones the next few days it is because I am going to New Orleans to present a paper at the annual Society for American Archaeology conference. But instead of presenting a paper on West Mexico, my paper is on archaeology and video game preservation. Specifically, how archaeology can help save historic video games from being lost forever. I'll be back on Friday!
