Some of you may recall my blog on Toms eyes from a while back. Well I return to tumblr with more gospel

THE TRUTH BEHIND TOM'S HAIR.

I will provide the evidence below

We are shown multiple times that his hair isn't Just Hair. For starters in Matt Sucks, Steve bleeds when staked.

Additionally throughout the series, it's shown he's Unable to flatten his hair out because it's so stiff. In WtFuture we see he can't even fit a hood over it. In Space Face he gets it lodged in the ceiling, and is ends up briefly stuck.

The most damning evidence of all is in PowerEdd, where we are shown an X-Ray shot of him that reveals bones hidden within. This is a trait that is shown off more later on, appearing in both Zombeh picnic and a comic.

But what about bald tom ?

This is the only evidence that weakens this theory. While there's little to go by, my theory is that he can compress these appendages down into his skull in order to protect them from harm. Either that or they can simply fall off like a geckos tail would.

He hates when they call him dickhead

My 2024 Eddsworld Predictions (most just jokes)

Tomatt will be cannon

Tord will be back for real and everyone will forget what he did in The End, except Tom who will keep referencing it and hating Tord (they're just enemies forever)

Tord will be back for real but as a background character and/or for small eddventures where he is trying to take over the world (but fails miserably as a silly villain)

Edd will be single forever

Eduardo will find a new girlfriend :)

Eduardo and Mark will become closer friends after Jon's death and cope with it together

Eduardo will apologize for being a bad neighbor to Edd, Tom, and Matt

Eduardo will adopt a cat

Jon will appear in at least one eddisode as a ghost

Tomatt wont be cannon, but it will be an inside joke by the producers that will be put in eddisodes as jokes

Tordmatt and Tomatt ship wars /heavyj

Old characters will reappear out of the flipping nowhere just to give a end/restart to their histories (Larry, BingBong, Paul, Patryck, etc)

Paul and Patryck will never be seen again :(

PAUL AND PATRYCK ARE BACK!!!!!! (as background characters)

PAUL AND PATRYCK ARE BACK!!!!!! (helping Tord but being silly)

One of the clones will escape BingBong's evil laboratory and live life normally

Tord theory

Alright so I've been seeing a lot of people give theories or opinions on what was happening in the Tord part of the most recent update as well as what it means and I wanted to give my own personal ideas on it

Theory below because I don't want this to be super long for you guys

First off, I think that it takes place Pre-THE END for the following reasons:

Reason 1: the scar

We can all obviously see that Tord has a scar on his cheek, and I and many others have noticed its in the same spot as his cheek bandage in the end(as shown below)

This could very well mean that we're seeing how he got this scar, or at least the aftermath of it

We can also see he has the bandage in his wanted poster, meaning he got it while in the red army sometime before the end

This could mean he got it during a battle, or even working on an experiment, which leads me to my second reason

Reason 2: the glass

There has been debates on what Tord is looking at and whether he's on the inside looking out or outside looking in

Personally, I think he's looking into some sort of test tube or chamber with an experiment inside. He could've gotten the scar from said experient or one associated with it

What the experiment is we obviously have no idea, but here are some ideas I've had about it

A Tom clone who's monster DNA Tord plans to use as a weapon

The real Tord (if the Tord clone theory is real)

Some sort of monster or creature he plans to use as a weapon

Some think it could be the lobster from the NM-8 spill, but I highly doubt it given my previous observations

Though it could very well be something to do with the NM-8 substance given what we've seen it do in the past

Tord could very well have been aware of it for a long time and used it in the past, or even plans to use it in the future, especially with how prominent it's been in recent eddisodes

Now, do I think Tord is coming back? Yes. It's not very clear yet but I do believe he is returning in some way very soon

Maybe in an episode, maybe in one of the comic books, maybe in some other way. But I do think he will be returning sometime soon

But as we Can see from other episodes where the 3 mains (Edd, Matt and Tom) promote they're youtooz figure

Is eddsworld gonna make Tord come back???

Or letting Tom, Matt and/or Edd interact with Tord's figure??

Ok. I was watching the beginning of the end.

Why is there a puppy/dog on Edd's lawn? It has a leash and is alone.

This is before Tom discovers Tord is breaking into his room.

Was Tord walking his dog then was like, "Wait a minute. They're out. This is my chance!" Then was like sit, stay to the dog, then broke into the house and made a bee-line for Tom's room, finding another lock. Why didn't any of the three notice the strange dog on the lawn!

Add less it's Eduardo's dog and they're just use to seeing or Edd sighed and took it back giving Eduardo an ear full about keeping his dog in his yard before going inside before Tom gather up the harpoons and sang his harpoon song and discover Tord.

Maybe it's just detail, and I'm overthinking it, but I just noticed it. They could have put Ringo napping on the lawn if that's a case! I don't know. I just saw it now, and I was curious about the lore and wanted to theorize over something that's , why yes, something dumb but it could be foreshadowing Tord being there. Tord playing it off like, "Oh yeah. I just let myself in because Edd invited me." (which could have been true, but they planned the meet-up later on, and like I said, Tord realized he could break in because they were out. Ether way, poor puppy.

Still riding the Bing n Larry train and I realized something... I have a hc/au (idk what to classify it as) that I've told a few people and never actually shared on Tumblr dot com

I hc they worked in the Red Army sooooo... one of the Bing clones took the blueprints to the cloning machine and that's how "Spares" happened teehee

Okay I have a stupid Theory. Steve is his own entity aka hes Tom's attached/ unattached from birth brother.

You maybe be like "why would it be his brother." Well his father is a pineapple/watermelon, his mom's a bowling ball, so it would make sense that his brother would have been hair or something werid like that.

And then someone might also ask "what about whenever his hair got shaved off in moving targets." Well as you can see in the Power Edd image there is a very thin line between his head and his hair where it could be shaved off.

And to add to my theory Tom had Steve since birth. So really his parents had two kids instead of one.

now we just got to figure out his parents. This is not going to make any sense but what if the watermelon just got old and turn into a pineapple due to ripeness or he has personality disorder idfk.

One extra dumb theory Tom doesn't have any real parents and he was just adopted by some objects. ( I don't like this Theory very much but you never know)

Crazy theory I made

Pineapple was Tom's step dad and watermelon was Tom's real dad, BUT bowling ball got dumped by watermelon because he thought Pineapple was the real dad due to Tom's hair. The reason Tom's hair stands like so is because of his weird monster genes

Tord clone theory? That sounds so cool, please elaborate.

Ok, so imagine this.

When Tord, Tom, Matt and Edd are killing off the clones, they don't just leave one Matt clone alive.

A Tord clone also escapes. More violent and psychopathic than the real Tord, and sounds more Slavic than Nordic.

He runs away and ends up doing all the Red Army shit while the real Tord really does move to the city.

He has a secret passage to the underside of the house where he works on his robot, but he can't get it back to the army normally.

So, he needs to pose as the real Tord so he can take it back with him.

Of course he doesn't care about killing the other three, they're not his Tom, Edd and Matt!

Real Tord is completely unaware of this, and Tom, Edd and Matt think that WAS their Tord that did all this.

Frankly this might turn from less of a fic based around a theory into more of an AU but fuck it.

TORD MAY NOT BE NORWEGIAN AND HERES WHY!

Let’s get something out of the way. THERES NO PROOF IN ANY EDDSWORLD EPISODES THAT TORD THE CHARACTER IS NORWEGIAN. We are talking about only the character and not the voice actor ok? Anywayyys..

Yeah there’s no real proof in any episodes that tord is Norwegian besides his accent, the fact that Tom calls him a commie, the entire lost in translation and his license plate.. other that that, tord being Norwegian is never mentioned in any episodes (of my knowledge.) So let’s start deconstructing this argument!

1. The accent. Ok so this one is the trickiest one to debunk but it can be done! Alright so in the end, his accent is very clearly Russian. Although there are hints of Norwegian influence here and there it’s primarily Russian. “Well what if tord lived in Russia after he moved out” even if he did move to Russia, the amount of time spent there (the time from 25ft under the seat to the end) would not be long enough to COMPLETELY replace his accent with a new one. Also by the way.. in the 2004 Christmas special, he barely had an accent so yeah. Again this one’s a bit hard to explain so if you still don’t believe me, then stick around for the next few points. Oh! Also also his accent might’ve not been intentional and was just a side affect of his voice actor being Norwegian.

2. Being a commie. It’s just an ideology lol. Not even stereotypically Norwegian. Tom is just stupid lol.

3. Lost in translation. It isn’t canon lol. It was just a short that Edd wanted to make and doesn’t count as an official episode in my eyes since it was not posted on any of the official eddsworld youtube channels. I feel like that short was meant more as to reflect edd and tord irl then the characters again thus why I think it wasn’t uploaded.

4. Norski license plate. There’s a lot of theories that me and my friends came up with so I’ll list a few. He just got lucky and that was his state generated license plate, he changed it as a joke, he enjoys Norway and it’s culture (hyperfixated on Norway, autism tord for the win), hates Norway, etc. theres lots of reasons he could have that license plate besides being from Norway.

In conclusion, this post is just to make you think. If you still don’t believe me. That’s ok! Also a theory that my friend came up with that I couldn’t fit into reason 1 was he is faking is accent because he Is a wanted criminal. Anyways if it is mentioned that tord is Norwegian in an OFFICAL piece that’s on the ew YouTube channel then tell me bro! If you have any questions, I’m all ears and willing to debate and/or answer! So! While looking at the Eddsworld page. I found this

And I noted it was made by Jackie. Now I know who that is, she was an artist on Eddsworld (Don’t remember if she’s still there)- BUT

What if:

I wouldn’t put it past Edd to trick Tom into hating Jon!! I don’t think they ever explained why Tom didn’t like Jon other than, “He’s the nicer you!” So what if Edd, because he doesn’t like Eduardo, didn’t like that he was the only one with a rival?

Tom never forgot about it and picks on Jon constantly.

SOUND THE EDDSWORLD ALARMS

I HAVE MADE A BREAKTHROUGH

After hours of strenuous and meticulous research, I have found the most solid explaination for Tom's eyes

My magnum opus

And here , ladies and gentleman ,is my proof

FACT NUMBER ONE: TOM DOES NOT HAVE EYEBALLS

We are given several signs his sockets are empty, these being the most prominent ones

In 25ft under the seat he goes to proclaim "Life flashing before my eyes!" However stops before the final word, implying there are no eyes there to be flashed

In Zanta Claws II he receives a set of eyeballs, which he sticks inside his already empty sockets

In spares the clones of Tom have their eyeballs completely removed.

I do not need to explain

FACT NUMBER TWO: SOMETHING IS IN THERE.

Despite proof his sockets are empty, we are given scenes that would suggest otherwise. For example the intro to Moviemakers, where he presses his face against the glass and we can see something squish up against it

However the most important example of this is in Hammer & Fail part 2, where Tom attempts to rub his eyes only for them to sink in when pressure is applied

Obviously regular eyes cant physically do this, this would only happen if there was some sort of thin layer in front of an empty space

For example, a set of inner eyelids.

CONCLUSION: TOM IS A LIZARD PERSON.

The only logical explaination is these inner eyelids that can be opened or closed whenever he wants. (This would also explain why he can consistently touch his 'eyes' without any sort of discomfort, and why his they seem to stick out like eyeballs most of the time)

GREAT QUESTION. it is the same au im just hopping around the timeline so i dont get stuck

most of my stuff is in the same AU, which follows the eddsworld "canon" fairly closely up to The End. as for why The End doesn't happen... wait and see lol
