I'm thinking about new york fringe being evacuated because of the whole radiation thing in Earth and Air, and how they called up the norms for medication first, along with any pregnant women

Given that the incident had happened on New York Fringe, there were only Earth school groups and amateurs affected, but I can't help but think of what if the incident had happened on New York Main.

We know that the norm archeologists of the Dig Site Federation are all fiercely loyal to the Earth archeologists (from what Playdon had said to the class when Krath started insulting handicapped folk in Earth Girl).

So if it had happened on New York Main, I can just imagine them calling norms up to receive their medication first, but no one moves

Because the offworld archeologists know that Dig Site Command has no choice but to give preferential treatment to norms, but none of them are about to betray one of their own.

There are, of course, one or two people who want to stand up, and their team leaders have to savagely pull them back down. (These people, inevitably, find themselves let go from their positions in the days following the incident.)

Dig Site Command have to remain neutral, but they're so proud of their teams.

A few of the younger Earth archeologists, the ones who had just graduated from University Earth and weren't expecting to see such solidarity, start crying as they look around and see the offworld teams remaining seated. And maybe it helps them put to rest some of the bitterness and anger they had accumulated growing up.
