alright hear me out

this man is pretty damn mid outside of his (cough) convincing personality

he's not particularly smart or clever. he just knows how to maintain the appearance of being a Leader

does he care for his friends? loosely. but its moreso a pride thing. their successes are His successes because he's such a guiding figure in their lives

even if hes outspoken about his distaste for some of their interests, like Theater and the Arts

melvin does most of the plotting for him in all honesty. he'd be lost without his grotto mastermind

that being said earnest Was head of the debate club for some time.

this boy debates like a conservative he sounds like Muskrat. bouncing around using big words switching topics that only loosely fit together. he sucks.

the debate club was disbanded after earnest was frankly humiliated onstage.

how, you may ask?

context first. gary often refers to him as a muppet

called him anything from bert to earnie to elmo. but mostly kermit the frog

and well. earnest's favorite band was talking heads.

so one night in the auditorium, big event, an opponent from the next school over. full audience. petey gave gary the great idea of pulling out a projector. and playing that kermit the frog cover of once in a lifetime on the curtain behind earnest and his opponent

thad was howling. so was cornelius. bucky was recording. beatice almost pissed herself. algie Did.

earnest got so so so red he shouted obscenities at the audience and fled the stage within one minute, forfeiting the match and promptly disbanding the club out of dishonor.

and they never let him live that down

anyway unrelated to that whole thing. that laptop in the nerd lair at dragon's wing comics belongs to him

and dear god its full of so much porn. jimmy took one look and decided he needed to wash his hands after nudging the trackpad

if bully took place a few years later earnest would print out pepe the frog memes and hang a kekistan flag in his room.

In Stars and Time AU version of my OC River!!

River's a traveling entertainer who's lived in Vaugarde as long as she can remember. She's a combo of loud, rude, sassy, and sweet with a fascination for stories and the world around her. She frequents taverns, Houses of Change, and libraries for the atmosphere and access to information.

As for what River's trying to find info on? Well, she's not even sure. But she thinks it's important.

He’s intentionally never mentioned you before. But you can’t hide anything from the person who raised you— because they’ve learned your heart and mind through all of it’s stages— and in The Dream Master’s case, he’s the one who shaped it.

The Dream Master doesn’t directly reference you, but one day he tells Sunday to shed himself of all distractions and to keep his sights set on the glory of Penacony alone. There’s an unspoken threat that hangs in the air afterwards. And for both your sake and Sunday’s, he continues to keep that boundary of friendship between you two.

Sunday’s devotion to Penacony is true— but sometimes he lays in his dream pool at night, and before he closes his eyes, he imagines a different reality where he left this world behind and was free to hold you closer than he was ever allowed.
