The Sun Rising with the Rest in Silhouette (Denali National Park & Preserve) by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: While on a bus ride from the North Face Lodge along the main park road in Denali National Park & Preserve. This was a view looking to the east across some kettle ponds with the sun rising off in the distance. During post-production, I made a decision to keep most of the landscape setting darker and in silhouette to add more of a focus to the rising sun and the light reflections of the waters.

19 seconds of an early June morning 3 years ago, birds singing and mist rising toward the sun from a pond. It was the first morning I went out to the countryside after the lockdowns and this felt like it was saying Welcome back!
