it's nothing out of the ordinary at first, just yuta rambling. he's just so attractive — again, you've given up on trying to convince yourself otherwise — and it's utterly embarrassing that you have a thing for the guy who's technically from the past right now.

you're kind of bored today, actually. stifling a yawn, you reach towards your phone, and that's when you hear a curious whistling noise from your laptop. you whip back around, and yuta is running, cursing under his breath. the way the camera moves disorients you, but you're too engrossed in this sudden development to care; you're on the edge of your seat now — quite literally, as you lean towards the screen.

his words come out a startled hiss; the camcorder falls to the ground with a crash. yuta's footsteps are unusually light and cat-like as you watch him run farther away from you, followed by three… others dressed in black? 

which is weird by itself, of course. but it's almost like they're moving too slow and too fast at the same time. one is armed with a set of daggers, the other with twin katanas like yuta’s one. they throw themselves over and over again at him with a speed that is almost inhumane, while the third all but hovers midair as they shoot arrows at him. he dodges easily between hits, not pausing for even a second until he's forced to deflect the last arrow away with his katana. this , however, turns out to be his undoing as the two others rush in from behind him.

yes, it's true that technically you don't know yuta okkotsu the way a normal person would. but in your opinion, you know him well enough to know that he's been holding back all this time. because now, suddenly caught off guard, he has no choice but to give into his natural instincts, katana a silver flash against his opponents before bright, bright blood spills out, staining the ground and his jacket and his snow-white shoes a brilliant shade of red. the bodies fall to the ground, shapeless and heavy and limp. something akin to disgust rears its head within you. not about him, no. but those corpses just look so pathetic, and you hate it. why’d they even think they'd win?

you hear him speak again. the word echoes, reflecting the emptiness of wherever he is. 

i didn't mean for that to happen.

is he talking to you? no— there's still one person left alive.

his final opponent shoots back a gritted-teeth reply. yuta okkotsu, i’m going to fucking kill you.

yuta laughs, a fair distance away from the camcorder.

there's genuine surprise in his voice as he says it, and you almost mistake it for normal. keyword: almost. as he walks away, you see the third one on the ground in a growing pool of his own blood, the upper half of his head sliced clean off.

this is so fucking annoying, god. like, just let me live, y'know? anyways…

he tilts his head up to the sky.

this isn't going as planned, and i don't like it. i didn't even expect to get jumped while filming, so now i don't know what to do. i’m not gonna redo all this again though, that's for sure. um. i’ll title it with a warning, and that's it for today. don't die, pretty girl, we're almost there! you have, like, three videos left.

the screen goes black, and you are not sure about how to feel about any of this.

although you are unaware of happening, as you watch yuta fight on your laptop screen, he is doing the same in real life, movements all but identical to each other. this time, though, he is not caught off guard, and no one is killed because of it. even then, once all four of them are defeated, he stands in front of them, bloodied and bruised, deliberating. he has no reason to kill them; a good person would let them go.

but yuta okkotsu of right now is no better than those he once considered bad. 

the messenger's tone is innocuous as he speaks to the higher-ups, but his words deal more damage than they could have imagined. that day, jujutsu society suffers four more casualties at the hands of a defected special-grade sorcerer.

“Okay, the next thing we have to work on is your nails, because no offense, but judging by these cuticles I can absolutely tell that you were in the ground for a century and a half.”

The corpse across from her grunted in indignation, but the effect was skewed by the blush that dusted his cheeks and the fluffy pink scrunchie that was currently holding his hair back. 

Taffy rolled her eyes teasingly and held out her hand, gesturing for the creature to give her his. He complied, and she grabbed the manicure kit she had gotten for Christmas the year before and got to work, pushing his cuticles back gently and cleaning up his nail beds as best she could while her TV announced the next music video it would be playing behind her.

They were sitting on the floor of Taffy’s bedroom; Lisa had gone out for a snack run and left her step sister alone with her secret undead companion, and Taffy hadn’t hesitated to use the opportunity to give the creature in her sister’s closet some much-needed pampering.

 He had protested the idea until Taffy had told him it would make him look more presentable for Lisa, and soon he was reluctantly sitting cross-legged in front of her on her bright teal carpet while Taffy tried and failed to find a foundation shade that matched his pallid skin. 

The process of applying makeup hadn’t lasted long since the creature wanted to remain as natural (unnatural?) as possible, and soon Taffy was taking his hand in hers and applying a base coat of nail polish onto his left hand while he watched curiously. Her TV was tuned into MTV, and she could see Creature stare at it for short bursts at a time before looking away, slightly overwhelmed by the colors, sounds and images he was being exposed to for the first time. 

Taffy hummed along as she fixed up his nails, and when she finished up the left hand she mimed blowing on it and told him to copy her, which he did as she moved onto the right hand, ignoring the stitches as she got started. 

A few minutes of silence lapsed between them; the creature was probably still a little unsure of whether or not he should be hanging around with her; they had a shaky introduction, but he seemed harmless enough to Taffy and she was just happy that someone was around for her sister in a way she herself had never quite been able to despite her best efforts, so he was okay in her book. And Taffy was clearly the family member that Creature had the least amount of disdain towards, so they had formed a tentative friendship, one that Taffy was currently trying to strengthen with this little makeover. 

Deciding to break the silence, she looked up into the corpse’s bewildered eyes and smiled, tearing him away from his staring contest with Billy Idol in the “Rebel Yell” music video.

“Don’t even think about getting bleached, buddy. Blonde would not be a good look for you.”

He grunted again, slightly offended, but she waved him off.

“Let’s rap. When did you first get the hots for Lisa?”

His grunt pitched up in surprise, and he gave her a look that was somehow sheepish, guilty and mortified all at once. 

“Dude, it’s totally obvious. You aren’t subtle AT ALL, I think everyone but Lisa herself can see that you’re totally smitten.”

His cheeks darkened under the artificial blush she had given him, and she nodded sagely. 

“Told you. So, when did it happen? When you got reanimated?”

The creature shook his head and pointed out an arched path with his left hand. 

“Oh, before? When you were still in the ground?”

He nodded, and Taffy whistled, impressed. 

“Damn, that’s some dedicated crush. Who knew grave tending was such a good way to meet guys?”

The creature snorted out a laugh, and Taffy raised a well-plucked eyebrow inquisitively. 

“So when are you going to tell her that you’re head over heels, huh? Frankly I think she should have noticed ages ago, but she’s always needed a bit more help in matters of love than most people and she won’t take my word for it, so you’re probably going to have to do some show and tell before she gets it.”

He hummed distractedly, his blush still very much present as he thought about ways to woo Taffy’s stepsister. She finished up his right hand and took his left again, his brow sill deeply furrowed in thought as she picked up the bottle of black nail polish that she had gotten for the Miss Tristate Teen Halloween pageant and began applying it to his now-dry nails. 

“I can practically hear the wheels turning in your head, you know. If you need any help we can go raid her VHS collection, I know she’s got some rom coms in there that you could get some inspiration from.”

He groaned in agreement, eyebrows still scrunched together. Taffy rolled her eyes fondly at the lovesick, oblivious idiot in front of her. 

“But you know, you probably don’t need much help. She may not realize it yet, but I can tell she’s got feelings for you, too. I don’t have to be an I.P. for that, I just know. I haven’t seen her talk or smile this much since I met her, and it doesn’t have anything to do with the fact that she’s turning heads in the hallway. That’s all you, and I’m sure she’ll realize it eventually. Just so long as you keep doing what you’re doing and practically worshiping the ground she walks on, she’ll figure it out. I promise.”

She switched to his other hand as the creature absorbed her words, and when she looked up he grunted, the words lost but the message clear. 

Thank you. 

She beamed at him. 

“You’re welcome. Just don’t break her heart, or else I’m going to put you back in the ground for good this time, okay?”

She said it brightly, but her eyes were anything but joking. Creature’s own widened in turn and he shook his head vigorously and with complete conviction. Taffy nodded, satisfied. 

“Now hold still or you’re going to mess me up.”

The corpse complied, letting Taffy get back to work. She hummed along to the music video playing behind her, and she was just about to put the finishing touches on his thumb when the front door opened and shut under them, and the sound of combat booted feet trampling up the stairs caught their attention. A few seconds later, Lisa poked her head into Taffy’s bedroom door, arms laden with candy bags and eyes bright. 

“Oh, hey guys! Are you doing makeovers?”

“Yep! Come join us, though I should warn you I require payment for my services in the form of Bottlecaps.”

Lisa smiled and walked into the room, handing the previously mentioned candy to Taffy before plopping down next to her corpse, patting the top of his head before taking a look at the spread of self-care items before them. 

While Lisa was absorbed in her examinations, Taffy absolutely did not miss the absolutely adoring eyes the creature was turning her way, nor the way his longing practically radiated off of him in waves. She grinned, and the corpse looked up and caught her eye. She winked at him and gave him a quick double thumbs-up out of Lisa’s view, and his eyes widened, before he relaxed slightly and gave her a shy, conceding smile. 

The moment was interrupted by Lisa straightening, her hands wrapped around the same bottle of nail polish Taffy had just finished using on the Creature. 

“Oooh, can you do mine? I didn’t even know you had black in your collection and I’m awful at doing my own right hand.”

Taffy smiled, utterly delighted at the idea of helping her sister out with a fresh coat of paint. She stretched out her hand and Lisa took it, fingers spread as she bounced a little. The goth looked over at her undead companion as Taffy began painting, and when she noticed his nails her smile widened. 

“Hey, look at that. We’re gonna match!”

He beamed at her in turn, his devotion lined in every crease of his face, and Lisa scooted slightly closer to him, their thighs pressed together. 

Taffy turned her attention to her work, just barely keeping the smile off of her own face. 

They’ll figure it out. Eventually.

I love your Iris and Dahlia concepts for your ace avian au! But I have one question. How does Phoenix not notice "Dahlia's" wing colour change? Does Iris tell him a bad excuse he accepts because he's too much of a simp to question her? Does she temporary dye her wings to match Dahlia's or do you have another idea?

i think i explained this briefly in the og post, but I'll expand on it a bit here!~~

While there are ways of getting feathers to a (close to) pure white color, it is difficult. (i.e. bleach turns them golden). The Hawthornes assumed getting the necklace back would be quick, so Iris deemed it unnecessary to go through the trouble. (oh how they were mistaken)

Instead, she paints her feathers. I imagine with a spray paint, similar to ones that exist for hair. The paint washes away in water and has a noticable texture (for the sake of this world though, it's unnoticable just via eyesight).

(Bit of worldbuilding for context:) Touching/grooming someone's wings shows a strong bond. (This can be platonic, familial, or romantic.) However, for romantic partners, it's usually considered more intimate than something like kissing. Iris ofc doesn't want Phoenix to know she's been painting her feathers. (Phoenix is a boundary respecting king) (pls pretend i drew the necklace i forgor >.<)

Phoenix trusts her completely. The guilt Iris feels over the deceipt and inability to reciprocate leads her to always wear gloves when touching his wings.

Maybe he does eventually touch her wings near the end of it all, if only by accident, even. Maybe he brings it up with her, and she makes up some excuse about "I thought you'd think less of me if you knew my natural color". (he ofc says he wouldn't care). Phoenix never gets to see her real wing color though, before everything with Doug Swallow...

(And maybe, as Dahlia is carted off to prison, Phoenix brushes her wingtip, but he doesn't feel the paint..)

✿ Iris and friends ✿

A few days ago I decided to do a one panel comic based off a head canon of mine, that being that Iris has naturally red hair but, after her sister goes to jail, she felt the need to distance herself from her sister even more and, began to dye her hair black. I mostly came up with this hc because as someone with dark brown hair (that's sometimes mistaken for black :/) I know how much work it is to bleach and maintain a light hair colour and, given she "dated" Phoenix for 8 months, that's going to damage her hair real bad if she's naturally got black hair and, dyed it red regularly in that time frame. Only other option would be that she didn't dye her hair and it's naturally black but Phoenix isn't an idiot, he'd notice if his gf was swapping between red and black hair (at least I think so, he can be oblivious sure but, he can also be hyper perceptive at times so I think it's likely he'd question it eventually in the 8 months time frame), so I decided to hc her as a red head, plus she looks identical to her sister aside from the black hair colour so, them being identical twins makes sense to me.

Also don't worry, Phoenix doesn't hold anything against Iris for being a red head after this scene I drew. I like to think he comforts her after her apology so she knows she hasn't done anything wrong (because having the same colour hair as your twin isn't something you can control!). He's just surprised because she's so good at makeup (another hc of mine) that her brows looked naturally black and, he somehow didn't register that her hair was naturally red in college when he first met her again or something like that :P. I also hc that Phoenix visits Iris every few months, as while I personally don't ship feeniris, I definitely can see them being good friends after case 3-5 as they probably have quite a bit in common, given they both seemed to like each other in college.

Than I felt like drawing more Iris art but with Lana Skye because I hc them as friends! Which might seem strange, given these two do not interact in the game but, not only do they end up in prison around same time (only a few years apart), they also have had to deal with being pawns for other's and probably were able to relate in some ways to each other as a result. Plus I like to hc that Phoenix and Ema talk about their respective prison friend/sibling to each other and, are both glad to hear their friend/sibling has a best friend, neither realising that the best friend is the other prisoner involved in the conversation until both girls are released from jail. cuz I of course hc they get released from prison some time after SOJ (or before, or during, still haven't finished SOJ) and at same time because, the chief prosecutor figured out they were friends and, was able to convince the right people to change one of the girls release date to match the other girl's so they can enjoy the release day together!

Analysis of Maria's outfit (In Silent Hill 2)

Maria's design in Silent Hill 2 consists of a maroon/magenta cardigan, a pink leopard print skirt, long brown boots and a leopard print choker that matches her skirt. She also wears a golden belt with coins hanging off, and her choker has a matching coin dangling on her neck. She wears golden rings and her hair is bleached blonde, with pink tips and her natural brown roots growing back in.

Maria visually looks similar to James' late wife Mary, with only her outfit and hair being different. Despite the clear difference in style, Maria's outfit is visually similar to Mary's. Both are pink, but Mary wears lighter colours whilst Maria wears darker shades. Both include button-up cardigans, but Mary's is layered over her white dress, whilst Maria is wearing it as her shirt. Both are in patterned skirts, but Mary has flowers on her dress whilst Maria has an animal print. Both are wearing rings but Mary is wearing her wedding ring, whilst Maria is just wearing trendy jewellery. Both are in heels but Mary is in white pumps and Maria is in brown boots.

I believe this was intentional, used as a way to clearly connect Maria to Mary in other ways besides facial features, but also not make her look too much like Mary that you can't tell her apart. Everything different between Mary and Maria's designs says a lot about them too. Maria wears darker, more revealing clothes as she does work as a dancer at a Strip club. Mary dresses more modestly and shows very little skin. This makes a clear contrast between the two, and in the context of the story, it makes sense that Silent Hill would manifest a version of his wife that dresses "hotter" as he was going through sexual frustration during the events of the game. Mary dresses like a grandmother, and whilst it may very well just be her fashion sense, it does convey the feeling that James might not have seen her as young and hot anymore, and her sickness ruining her physical appearance surely didn't help James' feelings.

It can also be stated that Maria's outfit is very... unnatural. Sure it's not uncommon to see people wearing immodest clothing, especially somebody who literally works at a nightclub, but even so, the way Maria dresses feels like a caricature of somebody who works at a nightclub and not an actual woman you'd see out and about. Her outfit is very non-casual and I could not see somebody going to the store like that, especially in the 90s. Her outfit being so stylised and unnatural could be seen as intentional, as the town created her to invoke James' idealised version of Mary, perhaps to an extreme attempt. I also want to mention her hair. Mary's hair is bleached and she isn't a natural blonde as evidenced by her dark roots coming back. It's odd that a fake person, clearly supposed to be blonde, intentionally has her natural hair showing. Couldn't the town just not give her roots and give the illusion that Maria is a blonde? I think the reason she has her natural hair growing back is to show that is more alike to Mary than it might seem, and to trick James into thinking she is Mary. If she just had blonde hair, it would be assumed she's a natural blonde but the fact we see her roots prove she is actually a brunette, just like Mary.

dew: his hair was naturally a cool almost white blonde when he was a water ghoul, after his transformation his hair become auburn. he bleaches it still to a platinum blonde, he doesn’t feel like himself when he’s ginger. despite the bleaching he keeps his hair very healthy having a whole ass weekly schedule just dedicated to his hair, it’s long and just reaches his waist. for body hair he’s not very hairy as is but he still shaves everything for sensory reasons, sometimes he’ll let his pubes/ happy trail grow but even then it’s very light and grows very slow

rain: rains hair is thick and dark, there’s a slight curl to it, he has a shaggy kinda wolfcut that just reaches his collarbones. he likes to keep a bit of stubble on his face (mainly cause dew likes it). he cannot grow leg hair (water ghoul thing), he keeps the rest of himself trimmed and proper but even then it doesn’t make much of a difference because of how thick all his hair is, he’s got a perfect line down the middle of his torso reaching a nice splatter of hair on his chest, he keeps a nice bush going

phantom: PHANTOM FUZZYYY. cause of their vitiligo their hair grows black and white depending on the colour of the skin underneath. they have very shaggy hair it’s short but has no particular style to it, it’s so thick that it just kinda stands up on its own and ant has learnt to not fight it, most of the hair of their head is black except for a large streak near their face that’s white. that white streak from their face goes down across their eye leaving them with a white eyebrow. they cannot grow facial hair. because the colour of their hair matches the colour of their skin they look like they’re pretty hairless especially when wet but when you get up close you can see this ghoul has a pretty solider layer of fuzz all over their body, it gets thicker in the winter but also means they shed in the summer, they never shave it’s too much of a hassle which means they have a thick bush

swiss: swiss is fuckin HAIRY. dense dark curly hair from his collar bones to his dick, a well trimmed but thick beard, long dreads reaching midway down his back. if he had his way he’d let it all grow forever without a care in the world but he has a small fire ghoul wife who has built him a perfect routine for caring for his intense hair, making sure his beard is trimmed and neat and his body hair is still soft and clean. after about a month of dew bullying him into a self care routine he actually really started to enjoy it, he loves feeling good and knowing he looks and smells good for his partners

mount: he has very thin hair and it’s very light. he’s ginger. the only hair that isn’t thin is the hair on his head which is long w a slight wave, resembles a lions mane when he wakes up. he does not shave at all so he has full bush leading up to a pretty lil happy trail, he’s got a lil chest hair (it kinda looks like a big heart in the centre of his chest) but his legs are hella hairy it’s almost fur, he also has the same on his arms. it’s all a lot of hair but very thin hair so you don’t get the full picture until it’s wet and sticking to him (when he sweaty). in summer when he’s tan it’s less visible but he’s the same as ant where he’ll grow a winter coat in a way

cirrus: my girl is the hairiest out of everyone. she doesn’t shave at all and is covered in thick dark hair. she has like a long mullet, she takes great care of all her hair so it’s beautiful silky shiny. she doesn’t have a whole lot of chest hair but her tummy and bush are hella fuzzy. she has a double slit in her eyebrow that came from a scar (thanks dew). the hair on her arms and legs contour her muscles so perfectly and it makes everyone fuckin drool

cumulus: cumulus is so particular about her hair, her and dew write out their hair care schedules together, they have completely different hair textures but they just like having someone to talk to about it. her hair is white and big and curly (3b to be specific) it looks like a cloud. she only shaves her pits but the rest of her hair is so light she doesn’t see a point in shaving it, sometimes she’ll shave her legs just cause she likes the feeling of being all smooth and on occasion she’ll trim up her pubes. much like some ppl say “don’t talk to me before i’ve had my coffee” lus will say “don’t talk to me until i’ve done my hair”

aurora: rory is a hair dye girly, her natural colour is a pastel pink but she loves changing it up every few weeks, dew taught her how to bleach her hair and take care of it after and she hasn’t looked back since. her favourites are pastel colours. she has a ramona flowers type cut with a bob but longer in the front, sometimes she’ll let it grow out for a few months but she doesn’t like the feeling of hair on her shoulders. she likes to keep the rest of her body fairly hairless, she keeps her lil happy trail tho and shaves her pubes into a heart.

okay unnecessarily semi in-depth post about my DOA self insert, Ridley Rosé.

a hot mess and a bitch (affectionate). she has the same energy as young 2000s ring of honor cm punk did back in the day. It’s my only way to describe her the best but also there’s a lot more to her deep down.

Her first real character arc is realising she can put herself first over the business. The arc that comes after is her trying to navigate on how to be a supportive person to other people, and learning that even if you offer it people may be hesitant to take it, and to be patient in those instances of vulnerability.

Has green-yellow hair, undercut to the side - only because all the other non-natural hair colours were already taken. However this time my self insert may have accidentally damaged their hair as they tried to bleach it themselves (didn’t go too well!)

She's Australian (duh!), but is under contract for an American Wrestling Promotion (at least for the first installment). She has to do some soul searching first before she goes back to wrestling and even when she gets back to the industry she actually gets signed to a Japanese Wrestling Promotion.

Wrestling style is more in line with classic Hart family Calgary style technical wrestling, but there are some hints of high flying acrobatic wrestling in their too.

Finishing move is pretty simple as it’s a submission hold move that makes opponents tap out essentially.

Early in her career she unfortunately priorities tv time over her personal life, because putting food on the table is really important unfortunately and well the promotion she works for is well... you know. a corporate conglomerate.

Semi Headcanon, but I think one of the reasons why Tina Armstrong in universe leaves wrestling is that she was burnt out by creative and wanted to expand her wings and chase other dreams. My self insert reacts negatively so because she thinks Tina is selling out and she's in denial that leaving would actually be best for her - which obviously that sense gets knocked into her when she loses at the DOA tournament.

She's stands at about 175cm, which is a bit taller compared to my other self inserts, who are usually 169cm. It's not much of a difference but since some characters are 180cm+ it makes her a slightly more intimidating figure amongst the DOA cast.

One of her battle tactics in the DOA tournament is to flirt with her opponents and cater to their egos, and then during their bout, she takes advantage of their arrogance, and steals the win underneath their nose. Obviously she only does this to participants who clearly adults!

In the instances when she's up against an opponent that's underage, she mostly taunts on how very clearly they are a LITERAL CHILD in a fighting tournament. The exchange is really just the whole One Punch Man Meme of 'What's With This Sassy Lost Child?'.

Does some soul searching part after the first DOA tournament as her match with Tina brought her ego and pride down to earth, and forced her to re-evaluate her life and place in the pro-wrestling scene as she realised she was prioritising the business over her own wellbeing.

Has an odd one-sided rivalry with with Ryu Hayabusa but it's only because she's jealous of his infamous 'Izuna Drop' and WISHED she had a cool as heck finisher move like he has. When she was on the receiving end of one during one of the earlier DOA tournaments, she was kinda pissed off - because that's a move that could easily kill an opponent and she wanted him to get disqualified (again she's bitter!!). Thankfully the judges and overseers didn't really see anything wrong with it.

Although later as the series progresses, her jealousy turns into be-grudging respect for Ryu Hayabusa.

So you know how she has a ‘will they, won’t they’ thing with Tina? What if I told you she had the exact same thing going on with Hayate? It eventually becomes something

It’s a long story with much more intricate details but essentially my DOA self insert is one of the few contestants that is actively able to fluster Hayate and get to break his cold exterior of a shell.

This is mostly due in part to being one of the contestants in the DOA Tournament outside of the Ninjas and Hitomi that he regularly interacts with on positive terms.

Hayate mostly really respects my self insert, and while he would mostly rely on Ryu or his dad for advice - if there is a part of him that is still conflicted on the existing advice he's given - he'll go to my self insert for an unbiased opinion.

Ayane initially has some... choice words for my self insert.... But later on she comes to respect the Australian Wrestler for the fact she has been able to break down Hayate's walls and help him open up about his doubts of leading his clan into the new era, especially during a time in which it feels like his home and family are constantly under attack and in danger from MIST's existence.

not really in the loop regarding the shadier aspects of DOATEC and MIST's workings, but upon coming across Kasumi Alpha in person she's genuinely taken aback the twisted use of science, especially the Kasumi she has come across is like. a genuinely nice human being.

She usually makes it just barely in the top ten in the DOA Tournaments, and that's not because she doesn't try hard enough, its that usually she has bad luck where her opponents usually bring out some unseen attack or move out of no where and gets caught off guard. In the later games (4, 5 and 6) she at least makes it in the top 5.

Angel has had his fair share of adventure in his years but nothing is more special to him than a night in with you. He will go the extra effort to find all your favourite snacks, decorate his home for your comfort, blankets galore to combat the cold that his home provides. As he watches your favourite movies, he will introduce you to movies that he loved throughout his time. Some may surprise you but that’s all part of the fun.

I have this image of Angel sitting next to you as you lazily play the piano. He’ll jump in with little notes to elevate the tune you were playing. In the end, you’d both be playing the piano, just trying to match the other rhythm. He would take your hands and guide you through the sheets of music, helping you shake off that rust and build your skills. I just feel this would be so romantic and gentle and sweet.

Angel has spent most of his vampire life hiding in the shadows, avoiding being noticed by human civilisation. So this can make him very inexperienced when it comes to emotions, social interactions and being well equipped to handle it all. So regulating emotions will be something that you both will need to navigate together. In time he will start to recognise your emotions and know a few strategies, while you will begin to feel comfortable around him to open up. It will be a huge learning experience for you both but it’s something that can only be done together

He had spent far too long living in denial of it -- his scalp needed a rest. As much as Ash liked cycling through new colours month after month and he'd put real effort into keeping his hair as healthy as possible despite, he was starting to feel the damage. That, and he wasn't in the mood to sit through another bleaching session (most of which tended to take place in the cramped confines of his own bathroom). It was the sort of pointless impulse that could drag him to a supermarket late at night and leave him mindlessly scanning the shelves for the right shade of black. Something nice and natural, that matched the his grown-in roots. He'd found the shade he liked best, after too many minutes of whipping his gaze from box to box, but was a little dismayed to find it was one of the pricier options available. Grabbing another, cheaper box of dye in some less appealing colour (he didn't bother to check which, glancing only at the price sticker beneath it on the shelf), he carefully opened both boxes and swapped the contents. Stepping aside, he slipped the wrong-box-with-the-right-dye) under his arm and took a moment to feel pleased with himself for a job well done but the sound of footsteps and the sight of another person entering the aisle brought the moment to an abrupt end. he turned to face the adjacent shampoo aisle with the thought that, so long as he acted natural, there would be no issues. There was no way she'd pick out the exact dye he'd messed with. Surely?

Ash was thankful for his reflexes, even if they were really only just good enough to keep him from having tripped over his own feet from the force of her grasp. He was significantly less grateful for his lack of grace. He didn't need to have an out-of-body experience to know that, in the moment before he caught himself, he looked like Bambi on ice. His eyes found hers and he knew, he understood and accepted, in that instant, that he may have fucked up. She looked (and sounded) pissed.

"Okay, whoa? It's called being thrifty and I take it very seriously." Ash spoke with a confidence that was almost certainly unfounded, with a satisfied grin to match. Between the troubling prices of hair product and the pinch he'd found himself in, he wasn't finding any of it particularly funny but he'd always found that acting guilty caused more problems than it solved. "There's no need to, like, accost me. Just grab a different box and let's keep this between us, yeah?"

the only way fallon could ignore the insect-like quality of the glaringly bright lights buzzing above was to twirl a lock of her own hair over and over on a knuckle despite her abhorrence of the habit. standing as she was, staring at the boxes of hair dye  — she fucking swore they changed the way they were sorted again —  she did look oddly sweet engaging in the typically femme habit, unless one were to catch the scowl on her full lips. there, the darkest of the black, snatched up with the other hand. noting she wasn’t alone in the aisle, she tried her best to not periodically glance from the corner of her eye, to not feed the notion that she was imagining them… and instead found the tape at the bottom of the box compromised. finally dropping the lock of hair in favour of fiddling with the latch, the dye slid out into her hand. the serial numbers, the description of the colour was decidedly not what she would have wanted.

➼ Satan 100% had a rebellious teen phase where he would dye his hair every other week to piss off Lucifer.

➼ But don’t assume that he did a good job, because he didn’t.

➼ When Asmo learned of his hair-dying habits, he immediately put a stop to it and insisted on taking his older brother to a salon to get it done. The whole ordeal honestly became rather annoying for Satan, and his visits to the salon became less and less frequent until they stopped.

➼ The employees, however, did become familiar with him as Asmo’s older brother and offered him discounts. He did, however, frequent it occasionally for a cut.

➼ He offered to take you there so you could get a discount for your hair, and you, not one to decline a discount, accepted.

➼ “What colour are you getting?” Asked Satan, curious.

➼ You took out your phone and showed him a picture. “My natural hair colour.”

➼ “It looks good.” Satan smiled. 

➼ Overall he wasn’t as excited as everyone else was about your hair, but he did enjoy the whole thing. He’s happy to spend time with you no matter what you’re doing, and seeing you so happy over your hair is just a bonus.

❧ he'd still be a ginger for sure, but a more realistic one; so his hair is more orangey copper than,, manic panic vampire red

❧ i feel like his eyes would still be blue as well, only not as saturated?? more like a greyish ice blue

❧ his eyebrows would be slightly lighter than his hair color, but he likes to make them darker with dye or brow pencil, he thinks it makes him look more tough sdnfk

❧ my reasoning for this combination is bc his canon hair and eyes are a pretty stark contrast, so normal light brown hair with really interesting green hazel eyes would have the same interesting contrast

❧ his hair is darker than his brothers', i'm thinking a solid dark brown, something to match his kinda dark vibe but normal enough for him to fit in

❧ my rationale for this combo is kinda wack but like, the darker hair with his eyes when there's little light make him look all dark and mysterious, but in the light he just looks pretty and unique

❧ he's one of the more normal looking characters of the bunch, save for his red eyes

❧ so we're gonna keep his dark brown/black hair it always looked dark brown to me even tho ik it's black, we love it and it doesn't have to change

❧ his eyes tho gotta change, i'm thinking just brown eyes for him, it goes well with his hair, but the shade of his irises is like a bourbon color, very pretty and they stand out a bit like his red eyes
