Dear Eve,
I love you.
I'm sorry I left you stranded on your date with Agatha while I went and wrote other things.
I think it's the internalized homophobia (and general homophobia) that's probably going to come up in that chapter that's led me to avoid it.
But I'm still proud of you for wanting to publicly take Agatha out on a date.
I want to get to when you're officially something with a label you can use! I know you want that, too!
Maybe after....
Well.
This chapter of Soulmates, the next chapter of Soulmates, I still have two prompts—
I LOVE YOU, EVE. SO SO MUCH.
I MISS YOU.
Love always,
Bandit.

I feel so normal about the producer having to turn her headphones off during the agathario kiss because Kathryn and Aubrey were so deep in it. I feel SO NORMAL ABOUT IT

the coven fr js a family bc we got slightly pyscho daugther (agatha), the somehow put-together mom (lilia), the daugther's on-again, off-again, slightly more pyscho girlfriend (rio), their child of (several) divorce(s) (teen), that one responsible cousin you always see but have no idea how y'all are related (jen), that one irresponsible cousin you always see but have no idea how y'all related (alice) and that one aunt (sharon)

they had to time skip in episode six because then we would've seen rebecca and jeff kaplan be better parents than wanda ever was or pretended to be

i fear the ending of agatha all along is once again making people confuse “i didn’t like the ending/the ending made me sad” with “that was bad writing”

Something I found interesting personally about the Agatha all along finale is that even though billy created the road, I don’t really feel cheated or like it was fake. Sure, you can argue that the road wasn’t technically “real,” but it was real is all the ways that mattered. Billy created the road, all its tricks and turns and things he couldn’t have ever known. In every way that is important, the coven walked the road.
It didn’t matter how it came to be. What mattered was the experiences on it, and how they shaped those who traveled the path.

the way im seeing so much hate for agatha all along's finale like....you guys just didn't get it like i did omg. i have a couple things i wouldve done differently (i really expected agatha to be dead dead at the end and get to go see nicky, but upon actually thinking about it i like this better because her story most definitely isn't finished yet and i don't think it was ever supposed to be within this show (plus we're not burying our gays!!! yay!!)) but overall i liked it. i also feel like apparently i was the only one who never thought we would get a happy agatha and rio ending? it always felt like their story was leaning more towards them having to learn to let go of each other. idk i just don't think it was bad enough to warrant the amount of hate im seeing

i love agatha and wanda because they're complex women who are people -- and therefore they do genuinely morally grey or even outright wrong things. and they're in an operatic, comic book world, so the scope of their moral complexity is operatic too. it's great! they've both genuinely hurt other people and each other; i love it. i want to eat them both up with a spoon they're so delicious.
which is why -- i think it's kind of important that, though agatha might not have known exactly what was going to happen, she chose to flip from trying (futilely) to convince billy that she hadn't wanted to hurt alice to intentionally provoking him into losing it. intentionally provoking him into (as far as she and he knows) killing jen and lilia.
and she was pleased that he did, i believe -- people say she was simply being forgiving and full of maternal love in that scene where she's projecting all over him. but my take is different. i think she's pleased that there's someone like her; that she brought him to her level, down from the self-righteous pulpit he was condemning her from.
"you're just like you're mother" is agatha setting off a bomb she'd been keeping in reserve - on purpose. she's not that naive! she knows what happens when you make a maximoff witch blow up now. the whole "you have the same tell"/"and that is?"/"convenient for me" moment fits with this too.
i think they are going to have a complex mentor and mentee relationship more (as much as the mcu can stomach letting a woman be complex) like a platonic view of cooper and lucy on fallout than a loving mother and child relationship.
there's a dynamic, of cooper wanting to drag lucy down (or shove and push, if necessary) so he can prove that he wasn't somehow uniquely a bad person to fall. or where don on mad men was cruel to peggy because he saw himself in her; or how haymitch mentored katniss pretty roughly. someone with massive self-image issues and an addictive/damaged personality (a magical drunk/addict basically???) seeing themselves in you and *projecting* on you is not a comfortable or fun experience necessarily...
i can see elements of that at play here and i love it. we'll see how it turns out in coming weeks - but i think it's a valid interpretation right now that she's not just telling billy what her mother never said to her--being a good mother-- she's saying what she wants and needs to hear and she's, on some level, glad he's just like her now.
are we really supposed to believe that the centuries old master manipulator is totally on the back foot before a naive 16 year old from a very comfortable suburb who has never had to develop street smarts or much survival skills re: other people???
i don't think her not being a devoted mom to him makes her bad. i think it's part of how she's interesting. and it could be the foundation for a fascinating mentor/mentee relationship, which really shouldn't be simple and wholesome in such a situation if it's ic. it should feel earned -- and fraught -- and i am looking forward to that.
