I keep thinking about how the party at Epel's hometown event would've gone for a very picky/ food sensitive Yuu. Like, refused to eat anything at all. Not in an "ew gross food" way but in a "none of this is familiar or comfortable help" way.

Idk if that makes sense, I'm autistic and I don't like trying new foods. Trying something new without the comfort that I can have a safe food instead, if I don't like it, gives me anxiety.

On a similar note, a Yuu who's from a warm climate where it never snows already freezing half to death in NRC and Harveston just being even more cold. Even with the warmth of their new outfit, (they're matching with Epel!! and the other guys) they're still visibly shivering a little at all times. Like an anxious chiwawa. (Don't quote me on that spelling)

TL. DR; Yuu who wants to enjoy Epel's hometown so bad but just physically cannot be comfortable.

I have my problems w my own rural farming family but they are nothing but accommodating for me when I visit. they use my chosen name, they make sure there's food I can have, they ask if I'm comfortable, they include me in conversations, it's almost intimidating bc of how used I am to the wealthy side of the family

not a doubt in my mind that epel's family wouldn't do anything they could to make yuu welcome. if that means finding them safe foods and giving them their own clothes off their backs for warmth, they'd do it. epel included :)

I would like to take this moment to remind everyone that Jack Skellington has a habit of booping people's noses when he's encouraging them, lightly scolding them, or telling them an exciting story. (Nightmare Before Christmas, Kingdom Hearts 2) Do with this information what you will.

I just know in my heart if he booped the Twisted Wonderland boys' noses they would hate it. It's such an endearing little quirk he has but it would tick off the majority of them so hard.

Overblots 1-4 for Yuu were like: Yeah I kinda had a hand in this but tbh I maybe did SOME delegation and that’s it, everyone else were the ones doing stuff

But because of that, for Overblots 5-7 they had already been deemed the Overblot Support™️ so even if they didn’t do a damn thing, everyone else was like “no, no. I NEED you”

Yuu has literally just become the emotional support prefect. Do they do anything? No! Is everyone still very insistent on them coming along? Yes!

I don't think I really have any really solid headcanons and also canon keeps validating me left and right (FLUFFY DOMESTIC DIAFAM IS REAL). mostly just kind of...impressions and general thoughts, if that makes sense! lately though I've been kind of obsessed with thinking about Lilia's hair, and specifically when/why he ended up cutting it. (l-look, we're bouncing around the timeline and I gotta make decisions about these things when I draw, it's relevant) (I mean I would probably be weirdly fixated on this anyway, but.)

I think I've settled on the idea that he kept it long until he went to NRC, partly because 1) I like drawing The Ponytail, and 2) I think he thought of NRC as a chance to reinvent himself a bit! he gets to go and be a wacky carefree teenager for a few years and have fun! (officially he's there to keep an eye on Son #1, but how much trouble could he get into, really.) so he gave himself a Cool Teen Haircut to go with his fresh new Cool Teen Persona!

also maybe he had some reflection on his hair's troubled past with three kids...

...and had to weigh his vanity versus the fact that he was going off to be around hundreds of kids on a daily basis, and. the choice suddenly seemed obvious.

He has an uncanny talent for being able to mimic others’ voices upon hearing them frequently enough (and ‘frequently’ can be subjective). This can be dangerous when paired with his UM, for both others and himself.

ok so i like rule 63 fanart in general, right? and i was planning on making designs for rule 63 versions of every Twisted Wonderland student (and for those who dont know rule 63 means genderbent)

i just reblogged a great post by @/sebastianthemadlad talking about why they personally don't like the transfem vil headcanon and it makes really good points. and after reading it i was like "cool! how do i recontextualize this with the rule 63 au?" and had a crisis because... how in the world do i flip the script with vil and epel. (decided last minute to put it under a cut bc way too long and ramble-y)

epel is often mistaken as a girl and gets upset by this and wants to be more masculine because of his traditional upbringing. okay.

so if she's a girl instead, would she get mistaken as a boy instead and want to be more feminine? or maybe she is super feminine and still wants to be masculine but thinks its wrong for her to think that? there's not much of a conflict if she's just okay with being a tomboy or being perceived as a masc woman because her upbringing says women aren't supposed to be masc.

and then vil. oh vil oh vil. i love vil a lot. the platonic ideal of a feminine man. like if harry styles actually did what his fans claimed he did.

sebastian's post mentioned that if vil actually was a trans women, she'd be a tomboy, because the whole point of the character is breaking gender norms. and this really stuck out to me because i was gonna make my rule 63 version of schoenheit a trans woman. so what to do about valerie schoenheit.

making her a tomboy doesn't quite sound right to me, because i think of tomboy as a pretty sport-sy archetype, and she doesn't really scream sporty. like, she's an actress and a model, and she's all about being elegant and beautiful. so tomboy might not be the right word to describe her, but "elegant" and "beautiful" is not just for feminine aesthetics. she could just be a masculine woman. i also kind of half tossed out the idea in the tags i left on that post about nonbinary schoenheit and it's still all kind of mush in my brain right now and i might not take that concept with val totally but i might just steal part of that idea to make her more androgynous too? idk. i made this post because i haven't settled on anything yet
