A boy who maintains a dignified and polite, well-mannered demeanor. Some nights, he can be found singing for the customers of Mostro Lounge.
and some trivia—
Twisted from: Ursula’s golden necklace
Chrysos is a lionfish merman (don’t ask why I chose lionfish specifically, the reason has become really convoluted by now). Side effects of this include being able to open his mouth ridiculously widely should he feel the need to; he usually doesn’t. It freaks people out.
He has ties to Prince Rielle—or so the rumors go, anyway.
He has an uncanny talent for being able to mimic others’ voices upon hearing them frequently enough (and ‘frequently’ can be subjective). This can be dangerous when paired with his UM, for both others and himself.
Consistently has some of the highest grades in the freshmen year. Classmates are always asking him about it, but he stays tight-lipped; only recommending that they talk to his housewarden.
(tagging @thehollowwriter cuz i think you’d be interested)

Hi YuuRei. How are you? Purely from a speculative standpoint, who do you think from Savanaclaw and Heartslabyul will get the special SSR for Book seven and why? I’m kind of curious to hear your thoughts. Do you think it is possible for more than one Heartslabyul member to get a card?
Hello hello! ^^ Thank you for this question!
(Small Book 7 talk under the cut, no plot spoilers, but just in case!)
For Books 1 through 6 Twst's system was characters receiving special SSRs timed to the release of their dorm members being the focus of the story!
For Book 7 Twst's system is: characters receiving special SSRs timed to the release of their dorm members being the focus of the story 👀
It is for this reason that I am fond of the theory that all characters will be receiving special SSRs! ^^
Another point in favor of this theory is the new titles that have been released within the game, for players to earn by collecting 10 different cards of the same character.
Ortho's new title is "Guardian of the Underworld," Lilia's is "Seeker of the Cradle," Sebek's is "Knight of Lightning," Rook's is "Hunter of Love" and Kalim's is "Renowned Ruler of the Oasis."
And anyone who has completed the story through Book 7-9 can tell you that that is a little on the nose to be a coincidence 👀
And the characters who have received new titles are: all of them! ^^
Covered in an earlier ask, this also poses the question: is Ace being set up as the "trump card" of the entire game, which was hinted at in both his dorm uniform card summon line and in his new title? 👀 (phrasing was changed on EN but is the same on JP)
Anything is possible! ^^
There are of course counterarguments, such as where are Malleus' "Lord of the Abyss," Silver's "Knight of Dreams," Idia's "King of the Underworld" and Epel's "Enduring Poison Apple"?
I have seen plot-relevant explanations for Malleus', Silver's and Idia's missing cards, and when it comes to Epel, there are theories that maybe some of the characters being skipped in Book 7 might be getting their cards during whatever comes next? 👀 Or maybe Epel will be returning in 7! ^^ We do not know!
To the original question, the Savanaclaw/Heartslabyul titles are as follows!
Leona: Ambitious King Ruggie: Cleaner of the Savanna Jack: Solitary Lone Wolf Riddle: Crimson Ruler Trey: Benefactor of Clubs Cater: Bystander of Diamonds Ace: Trump Card of Hearts Deuce: Spearman of Spades
If the popular "new dorm series" theory is correct then we will likely be seeing the remaining six characters sooner or later, with the only question being the order in which they will appear ^^ Exciting!
Rook, Kalim, Ortho and Lilia all had a strong influence on their respective dorm members overblotting (Silver was technically the catalyst for Malleus, but his card branches off into another theory), so if we would like to make an assumption based on that pattern perhaps Ruggie and Trey will be coming first? :> But it is anyone's guess!

Something I really like in the House of Mouse AU is that the OG sidekicks have really taken a shine to their twisted counterparts
Like the Queen of Hearts’ card soldiers treating the twst!card soldiers as little brothers
The Cheshire Cat treating Che’nya as though they’ve been best friends for life
Shenzi, Banzai and Ed adopting Ruggie into their cackle
Flotsam and Jetsam just absolutely loving Floyd and Jade
Aladdin’s carpet enjoys playing with Kalim’s carpet
Queen Grimhilde’s crow likes to hang around with Epel sometimes (I know Epel represents the apple but technically the crow was there when the poisoned apple was made so technically it counts)
Humbert the Huntsman is too terrified of Rook to say anything so he just sits there in traumatised silence
The OG seven dwarfs being grandpas to the twst!seven dwarfs
Maleficent’s goblin minions having a blast whenever they see Sebek (again I know that he’s Maleficent’s lightning but they get zapped with lightning so it works)
It’s nice and cute watching the villains grow soft for Yuu and their twisted selves but these henchmen have their own counterparts as well that their protective of
The villains are rooting for their boys, but the sidekicks are going "One of us! One of us!" :D
I like to think Lucius and Lucifer are just napping together somewhere. Like they found a nice to curl up in and are just chilling.
I feel like Humbert the Hunstman is just really awkward, ya know? He didn't want to kill Snow White, he let her go, he doesn't know why he's here counting as a henchman. He figured Rook was a nice enough guy, but also he says some off putting things and this man is scared. He just wants to home tbh.
Sebek is trying, key word there is trying, to bring some order to Maleficents goblin henchmen. But after learning that babies do grow after sixteen years, they still horribly misunderstood and are under the impression that Sebek is a big baby wanting to be a grown up. So his attempts to bring order are met with "Aww! Look at him! He's trying to be a big boy now!"
Also you know the episode where Pinocchio starts hanging out with Pain and Panic and they're being a bad influence on him? That. But with Ortho. They like him, don't get me wrong, but they also want him to loosen up and have, what they think, is a good time.

Today on my way home, I got thinking about twst.
Yeah, I know. Shocking.
And for some reason I was thinking about Diasomnia (yeah, also shocking). Which led me to thinking about everyone's UM and especially Malleus' and Silver's. And how Malleus is Maleficent and how Silver is Aurora.
And that got me thinking about Vil and Neige as the fairest queen and Snow White.
And that got me thinking about the other "villains" and their respective protagonist (or, from the villain POV, antagonist) and who is twisted from whom.
So I started going through each dorm, in order.
Under this handy cut, to not fill your entire feed with my ramblings.
Heartslabyul
Yes, we know that Riddle is the Queen of Hearts. And I've seen some fandom speculation about Ace being Alice, who is the one who has been most up in Riddle's face and the one who called Riddle out for his tyrannical rule. And who, like Alice, has one older sibling.
I enjoy that theory, because we know there are characters who seem to a bit of a hybrid twist (like Silver is obviously Aurora, but is also a knight so there's a bit more to him than that. Yes, I will say that Sebek is very much Philip but also Maleficent's lightning - and yes, that is heavily Silbek influenced, but that should come as no surprise). So Ace can be both a card soldier and Alice.
Yes, his hair is red and not blond (isn't Alice's hair blond?) but Ace and Cater, the red heads, are the red suits, where Deuce and Trey, the black suits, have hair colors on the blue side of the spectrum.
I bring up hair color for a reason. We'll get back to that later.
Savanaclaw
Of course we know Leona is Scar and Cheka is Simba, that doesn't take any sort of stretch.
I am still puzzling over Jack, but for this particular blog post, I'm focusing on just the Great Seven and the thorns in their side.
So that brings us to Octavinelle.
Put a pin in Octavinelle; coming back to them later.
Scarabia
Obviously Jamil is Jafar and Kalim is the sultan (and I love how his Pop Music Club attire works the sultan's mustache into the embroidery on his hat. Nice touch, that.)
I've seen mentions that Kalim has some Aladdin elements (a thorn in Jafar's side?). While he lacks Aladdin's street sense and is not the shameless conman that Aladdin is, he is personable. So I can kind of see that.
Meanwhile, Jamil has the street smarts and has no qualms about manipulating a situation (there's a reason why Azul was so keen to suggest Jamil transfer to Octavinelle). And while he isn't poor and homeless like Aladdin, he is in the servant class. And has tried to pull one over on Kalim, the sultan character.
Is there a bit of Aladdin in both Kalim and Jamil? I think that, too, is an interesting theory.
Pomefiore
Already covered Vil as the evil queen and Neige as Snow White, and we know that Rook is the huntsman who spared Snow White (and the fact that Rook is a diehard Neige fanboy is a fun twist on the huntsman's "betrayal" of the queen. And before you say anything, I staunchly defend Rook's vote for RSA in the VDC because Rook is nothing but painfully honest, and even Vil defended Rook's decision.)
Epel is the poison apple, right? The apple where the inside was regular apple and the red peel was the poison? Epel's true self vs the appearance he puts on for Vil, as part of Pomefiore - maybe that is a better fit than I first thought.
(Also defending Vil for his insistence that Epel act and speak properly. Vil is to appearances and behavior as Riddle is to academic performance and rules. And Epel needed a bit of a lecture on the whole gender expression thing. Is Vil unreasonable at times? He's a housewarden, isn't he?)
Ignihyde
Idia is Hades - so who is Hercules?
(also why is Ortho so Baymax coded? That's gotta be deliberate; there's no way he's not - I've read his Precision Gear vignette.)
I don't yet have an answer for this, even considering the members of the other dorms. Only Kalim, Rook, and Silver have the white magic, so they seem to be the only ones at NRC based on "heroes" - so maybe we have yet to meet Hercules. Maybe another RSA student we've yet to meet.
Diasomnia
Aside from my earlier speculation, it seems pretty obvious that Lils is at least partly based on the bat minion from Sleeping Beauty (the one that's the Diasomnia guest room plushie). And Lil is also at least one of if not all of the idiot trio of fairies that raised Aurora/Briar Rose.
(The whole cooking thing kills me when thinking of how they tried to bake a cake for Aurora's birthday. And also the spat between Silver and Sebek over Lilia's tux in Lilia's Suitor Suit vignette? The "red" "NAVY" thing kills me with the way it spoofs the "pink" "blue!" beef between Flora and Merryweather.)
I said we'd get back to Octavinelle. This is probably the crackiest theory I have, but now it's stuck in my head.
Octavinelle
Floyd and Azul have both mentioned the long ago princess who wanted to live on land (Jade may have as well, but I remember Floyd talking about it in his Beanfest vignette) and of course, in Book 6, Azul tells Riddle about this charitable organization for mer wanting to live in the Sunshine Land. So do we need another Ariel character?
No, but still...
It's Riddle.
There is no reason for Riddle's hair to be such a vivid red color. The Queen of Hearts doesn't have bright red hair, but you know who does? Fucking Ariel.
Yes, Ariel has a school of siblings, but Ariel is the one that is overprotected. And Ariel is ultimately a thorn in Ursula's side. As far as class ranking, Riddle bests Azul every time. This reminds me of of all the times Ariel came close to meeting the terms of Ursula's contract.
And Jade and Floyd do delight in teasing Riddle, much like the morays were determined to thwart Ariel's attempt to meet those terms (as they do with everyone. But who is Floyd most obsessed with? Who does he make a point of teasing more than anyone else?Riddle. Yes, I am also wearing my FloRid goggles. That, too, should come as no surprise.)
It's just a fun thought that struck me, because I love the developing friendship between Riddle and Azul, but they are so in that frenemies stage.
#twst fan theory#crack fan theory#look it just occurred to me so I had to type it all out when I got home#riddle is ariel#there I said it#told you it was a crack theory#also my florid is showing

this has been plauging me for a while now so just a quick question but: for the first years (adeuce + ramshackle + epel + jack + sebek) what do you think are their themes and how do yo think they can grow as characters? I always thought that Yuu's themes were agency + relationships (or their lack of therefore) and Grim's being growing up + accepting mistakes/losses with grace. But like I'm not sure and that I'm stumped w the rest too--more specifically jack and sebek and ace's mainly :sob: (I'm pretty sure Epel and Deuce's is acceptance of oneself but putting it at just that seems wrong ig). Please send help.
Ooooh this is such a late answer—
I think of Sebek's theme as lightning that hasn't struck yet, its all thunder (Malleus) but no lightning or just lightning trapped in a bottle. This stems from the fact that he wasn't able to strike yet bc of chapter 7 being last, his late character development, and the fact that the fans don't really fw him rn. I don't like Sebek for all his human hating nonsense, but I do think he has the potential to be a fan fave considering who he might be during/after the events of Chap 7.
Moving on to Jack— i def see the components of the wolf he was based on, lemme give you the run down:
So the plot is basically about a wolf dog whose life begins after The Indians save him, but the pups never accept him, and the leader, Lip-Lip, singles him out for persecution. White Fang grows to become a savage, callous, morose, solitary, and deadly fighter, "the enemy of his kind".
This is all before his mother dies and he has to run away from the camp to soon become a fighter in an illegal ring of dog fighting.
Jack Howl actually parallels White Fangs life pretty well—being singled out by the dorm and dorm leaders, being considered a lone wolf due to the fact that he's not accepted into the pack (Savanaclaw) and during the events of Chap 2 where he's declared "the enemy of his kind" due to essentially betraying Leona's plan.
Epel is based off the apple that poisoned Snow White if we're being point blank—however, we could look at the symbolic meaning:
Being used as a tool for others to gain the upper hand—we see time and time again that with Epel's constant need to want to be independent he ends up embarrassing himself and growing bitter (read: poisoning) until he has someone guide him (read: eat) then he truly fulfills his purpose, like when he grew that plant in just a few days compared to the months that take for it to grow.
I also think he's often overlooked just as how the apple in Snow white is overlooked in lieu of Queen Grimhilde (Snow White's step mother) and the Hunter.
For Ace it's in the name Trappola—which means "Trap" based on a game where the goal is to win with the last trick with the lowest card while also getting 100 points—like uno, you trick other players into thinking your hand is one color or another while also dropping down 4+ or cancel cards (I've never played poker all I know is that you keep a straight face)
You can see this symbolism play a part in how he introduces himself—he tricked Yuu and Grim into thinking that he was a helpful kiddo only to turn around and call you stupid, he skipped on washing 100 windows in favor of going back to Heartslabyul, he ate Riddle's tart instead of making himself a snack—in Chap 3, we know that Ace is smart as fuck when his score is in the 90s compared to Grim and Deuce's, he skipped out on doing the work in favor of winning by "trick" card.
Deuce Spade, going off of the Spade card suit it represents winter (old age), where humans gain knowledge and transform—In Chap 5 we see that Deuce is the second 1st year to develop his UM compared to smart-until-dumb Ace. Spades also symbolise the warrior class and you can see this in his monster like strength and endurance (he straight up fought Jack Howl, took a direct hit from the OB monster in the Mines, and even in his robes a Savanaclaw student stated something about his monsterous strength, mind you this is Savanaclaw known for martial arts and magift)
Deuce means two and two in the card suit means Union, take what you will from that. He's also based of the Horned King, from his primary summoning object being Cauldrons, something the Horned King sought after to unleash an army of cauldron born warriors.
@mia-pon289 said that Yuu had the base of Chernabog, the devil in Fantasia, specifically the hide behind appearances base.
Again take from that what you will.
Grim also shares a base with Chernabog, the fire base—you can see that in his void ability being primarily blue fire.
I think these def play a role in how their relationships form—Sebek is quick to lash out, Jack is tsun because he doesn't want to get close to people (his base lost a whole lot of people its actually sad) Epel's base comes out in his toxic mindset about masculinity and femininity, Ace's base shines in times where he has to trick people to get what he wants I mentioned that he utilizes weaponized incompetence, Deuce's base shines with his ability of cauldrons and being ruthless (the horned king is actually one of the most ruthless in the Disney universe), and he does right by his name in the transformation and gaining knowledge although he doesn't retain it well.
Grim and Yuu literally are in our faces about being two in one. And Chernabog also has wings sooooooooooo.
Overall, this was a rundown rather than a theory.

HoM Au
is there anyone rooting for epel and sebek because those two are literally twisted from objects from their movies 💀 (epel is twisted from the poison apple and sebek is twisted from the lightning which is obvious)
I would say the evil queen is rooting for Epel, but be honest with ourselves. Vil is first and foremost the one she wants to win, because Vil is more or less a variant of her, and she is that vain only care about Vil. That being said, I think Snow would also want Epel to be happy. She likes Vil, but she'll root for Epel too. I also lowkey want to say Hercules would not be upset if Yuu liked Epel. Hercules remembers when he was a scrawny little farm boy, maybe he'd see a bit of himself in Epel.
As for Sebek, I feel like he'd have a lot of the henchmen on his side. Especially Maleficents little henchman. "He's one of us! :D" type of deal. Also this might be silly, but Zeus. "A lad with lightning powers! That's a fine choice if I do say so myself." Also if we include the Disney Faries, as in the Tinkerbell and friends franchise, I think Rosetta rooting of him would be kinda cute. Because in the pirate fairy, didn't she look after a baby Tik Toc the crocodile? Or he thought she was his mama or something like that? She takes one look at Sebek and goes "That is my boy! That is my baby!" Then proceeds to fuss over him. Fixing his hair, spraying him her floral perfumes, wiping a smudge on cheek. General fussing over him, but because she's a pixie all Sebek hears is the little bell sounds.

AAAAAAAJSDGFHD MAN ITS ACTUALLY BEEN A WHILE SINCE I LAST BARGE MY WAY THROUGH HERE MDHJDFSJ AHAHAHA OKAY SO---
More speculation about epel and ortho bc their dynamic is interesting not just personality wise (their very alike in several ways when u think about it) but also story wise bc in the new event epel mentioned that he wanted to apply technology in harveston to relieve some of the burden the elderly were experiencing when doing labor but were very against it (maybe it has smthng to do w them being deep in the woods???) which would make his friendship w ortho all the more beneficial for him. I don't think Ortho would mind being "used" so to speak by epel since Ortho doesn't seem to necessarily care all that much since I think to Ortho it would be normal since he's very logical (w him being a robot and all) also i think he'd be v much interested in the way of life harveston has in comparison to his. Also aside from sebek, epel's them with ortho contrasts and compliments also parallels his very well:
epel being the second adam with the current ortho we have being a sort of reincarnation from the presumably deceased ortho, epel's apple motif (poison, reincarnation, humanity, second chance in life) and ortho's fire motif (life, death, monstrosity/something inhumane, the death of a life)
You basically get the gist also wait I just realized that maybe the reason why Ortho didn't come along w them in the new event was bc of Sebek coming along kjhdkjfg dammit I wanted to see them interact esp ortho and epel AAAAAA Im so sad but hey at least there's still hope for chapter 6 Yana please update the main story already askjdhasdjak
Anyways how r u doing? Me? Well mine... could be better honestly but y'know what? whatever and shit it could be worse so-- kjdflkdjfsd anyways stay hydrated and healthy take care!!!!
I'm Gucci, I have been writing hella theories and I hope to drop em soon (feb 22 is prime theory time, idk why i just consider it a theory holiday) but Ortho skipping the Harveston event because of Sebek makes sense since he's supposed to be the lightning.
Epel sharing some motifs with Ortho is something I ompletely missed in the grand scheme of things— life and death, reincarnation...
Speaking of, we've already theorized that Ortho might be dead and what Epel's UM might have something to do with healing (Ace i need to know if ur UM has something to do with Chap 7 and if you're the traitor please pick up the pho—)
But I wonder how their themes are gonna overlap, someone theorized that Yuu might share a base with Hecate (who is Cthonic Goddess meaning one who regularly visits the underworld as she is the Goddess of crossroads) Hades and Hecate have had beef bc of this especially when there was a shift in power with the 12 Olympian Gods since Hecate was also a Goddess in Egyptian myth as well—
WIAT A GOD DAMNED MINUTE
This is playing out exactly like the myth of Hades taking Persephone into the Underworld—Rook plays Hecate's part in locating Persephone (since in some stories she was able to locate the spring goddess) and the Persephone is Grim!!!! Holy shitttttttt!
#twisted wonderland#twst#twst theory#@hiraya manwari#scream into the void and i'll answer#holy shit hust had an epiphanyhyyyy
