my cousin recommended psych to me years ago and i watched a couple episodes w my brother, then i visited her on summer holiday and we watched expedition british colombia. i said something like "she's so pretty and he's so mid, why does she look at him like that" and when i went home i binged 9 episodes in 8 hours to look at juliet's face

with new girl, a couple years ago when i was in school, my mom planned a holiday during midterms and she left me at a friend's house because she didn't trust teenage me home alone for 3 days i guess. anyway, the friend's family watched new girl every night together, and it was really sweet and wholesome (the family watch time, not necessarily the episodes lmao), so after i spent a ludicrous about of coinage on peacock for psych, i saw new girl and thought like "oh here's a show i like i can watch in between psych episodes so i don't finish too quickly" and then ofc i finish new girl before psych but i digress

anyway, all that is to say that yes i do take recommendations!! i love recommendations :)

Adding on to your rant/analysis on paranoid lyrics heres my personal addition.

Might be a wee bit Parasocial but if I was in dreams shoes I would be terrified of making a long term friendship into something romantic.

That's just my input.

i kinda agree with this i think what scared him a lot was the inevitability of the transition from friendship into Something more because he didn't know exactly how it would happen but he knew it would and he knew it already halfway had. like they were beyond what's considered normal long before they even met so it was simultaneously him feeling like it was moving without his permission and he was on a ride he couldn't get off of (but also didnt Really want to get off of) and him not knowing how to approach the inevitable and make the steps for those last big chances
