Ahah I'm sorry! Yes, she's frustrating, we are all already fully aware we are in love with Lance and would jump him at any chance, but she's *just* getting there. She still doesn't fully trust him and plans to have him sent back to his prison when the mission is over. She obviously likes him but hasn't fully realised and accepted it yet. She's slooowly getting there though, and her giving in is going to be all the more sweet for that.

At this point they made out so all the pretence of her not being into him has gone out of the window and she's dreading the next conversation they have because she's aware they both know they want this and she's gonna give in so so easily. Not gonna give spoilers for the next chapter but things are going to fall apart very soon, especially thanks to the way this chapter ended 🤭🤭 I reeeally look forward to the next chapter.

hghhk this line from the authority fail. you get after failing *four* times. my first playthrough I had high authority - I had 6 PSY to start, and authority boosting clothes. and I just kept failing and failing. and every time I failed this check I had to dump another point into authority to try it again... so it was *really* high by the end! but I just kept failing it!! it was so painful... by the fourth fail you can finally beg kim to take over...

on the topic of awful authority fails! we need to acknowledge: - the authority check to get kim to dance - the authority check to save kim from getting shot - the authority check to make acele wear the hat

including it so we can enjoy authority making things worse and worse

alternatively, succeeding the check. eugh. (you dont have to kick the snow. but the fact that it's an option at all...)

I passed the check my first playthrough and failed it my second. there's really no good outcome to clicking it... except harry can get a good cry out of the fail, I guess

this seems like a good place to include the mandatory sad dream dialogue. that way we feel less bad for him since we got to just see him being stupid

the thought gives you -4 !!!! to drama! because lying is dishonourable. and then if you lie to kim about what you were doing he tells you it was an honourable lie. hypocrite. (and there is a dialogue where he says "Are you going to let him get away with being a hypocrite?" so that really makes auth a double hypocrite)

I love and hate authority in perfectly equal amounts. they don't cancel eachother out either, I just feel very strongly about him instead. I also feel very strongly about Volition, and their interactions are always fascinating. so I end up smushing them together, going fight! (and kiss!) and fight! like the extremely normal person I am. yep. you're welcome.

I could probably write half an essay my thoughts on their dynamic so I'm going to stop myself now before I have regrets :)

my december edc journals,

a moleskine ruled hardcover pocket as my logbook & my malden filofax mini as my to-do list.

it’s the end of the year, and i’m transitioning from my old analog system into my new one! so far i introduced the hobonichi weeks for weekly / monthly planning but i don’t feel the need to carry it with me. i still use my midori a6 for ideas, notes and general brain dumping but i’m choosing to keep my daily carry light so it’s staying with the hobonichi weeks on my desk.

for now when i’m on the go i have this duo to remind me what to do, keep memos and log my day.

LBT-1961AF Chest Rig, Gen.1, OD Green, 2002 Buckles, No Labels

Very similar to the AWS Strike Vest in terms of layout and construction, but definitely loaded with lots of little force multipliers and creature comforts that make this rig more contemporary despite being a 20+ year-old design at this point.

More capacity for mags, an 'okay' map pocket, and lots of additional pouches really push the format to its limit for the overall size. If one were to make a swiftclip-able/PC placard-style version of this design, it would not be out of place in the modern age.

The outer radio pockets each have a generously-sized utility pocket, which have a removable elastic 'lid' to use as a dump pouch as well as a small frag grenade pocket on the inner sides.

The rig has four double M4 mag pouches (holding 8 mags total in the dedicated pouches) and a double pistol pouch that can either hold two double stack or four single stack mags. Also good for holding multitools.

The 'AF' in the designation refers to 'Air Force' as this variation of the LBT-1961 was designed with three dedicated pockets for MS2000 Strobes for CCT guys to mark landing strips.

Also notice how the flaps are sewn with a box stitch to hold the velcro in place - later generations of these rigs would sew the flap velcro with a third horizontal line rather than an 'X' shape.

Inside the map pocket, there's an 'envelope'/EDC style holster that simply velcro's in place. An extended 'wing' off the leading edge of the holster holds one or two extra mags.

Honestly, this is probably the least usable feature on this rig given how awkward it is to access. Still neat that it was included all the same.

The H-Harness, while simple, was revolutionary for the time and elements of which like the velcro-adjustable rear cross-strap can still be observed with modern chest rig designs. The cable management flaps aren't spectacular, but it's good that they're there.

Note how the rear ends of the shoulder pads are 'squared' and simply terminate to 1" webbing, rather than folding off to the sides - this is another one of the ways you identify these as Gen.1 rigs.

Copious amounts of drain grommets on all the pouches.

It's very jarring to notice the difference in pricing for these rigs depending on the color you have - for instance, the 'pinky tan' versions of these oldschool rigs were used extensively by Navy Seals and AFSOC and currently go for several thousand dollars when they pop up.

But because this one is OD, and almost nobody has been seen using them, they're only worth about $300 at most and I actually ended up trading a helmet for mine lol.

An EDC Tray, it can be from a 99 cent store, hardware store or a lid from a box. Regardless, its purpose really is to make your life easier and if possible a bit tasteful. I've carried this tray from China which i got from a market for 25 rmb (less than 3 bucks) it was a set of 4 and I use them religiously everyday. This one is at my desk at all times, for me to goof around or to lay my daily EDC whether it be my commonplace book, bracelet or watch. In this case today's pocket dump is my Dango Ace Pen, my commonplace book by Moleskine, a polaroid for memory, my airdeck playing cards which i mess around with and this lil bead given to me, frankly i dont know what it is i just know its from Bespoke post.

you have no idea how happy this message makes me. long live pocket journaling and edc notebooks! one too many of those means one less hour on my phone for me, and that is my own little secret to feeling that much truer to myself. yes the notes app is amazing and can be all you need, but something about a small journal that can fit in your pants and jacket pockets is so personal and so special. so much more meaningful. long lasting. memorable. it can be a portable general list of things to-do, a training log, a brain dump, a meal plan, a reading log - anything and everything and it has your unique handwriting and maybe even coffee stains. i used to use my phone for everything, but now i do it all on paper and it's so heartwarming to see a journal full and bulky barely fitting in your bag after four months of use. my notes app has years of info and yet it's almost as if it didn't exist. anyways, so giddy you are thinking about using journals and notebooks more. happy holidays and take care <3

Started narcissist abuse therapy today, reached out to my narcs other ex.. then reached out to bitch our my narc ex. ( for context him & I dated 3 separate times in the past 4 years & I dumped him 8 days ago via text)

Oh, how good those 8 days of no contact felt immediately after I dumped him & blocked his number. (He ofcourse followed his other ex I was paranoid about for the past 4 years)

Aside from that, I’ve been cleaning, logged out of Instagram. I don’t care enough to post hot photos or sub-post any shit talking.

I’m exhausted from narcissist abuse. Good news is I’m in the anger / acceptance stage after 4 YEARS. Pretty crazy.

I am taking my time to heal and rest, because my nervous system has definitely been put through the fucking ringer the past seven months. But when I am feeling that I have more energy, you best fucking believe I’m going back to boxing classes and working out and going to EDC in May!! So life is good honestly.
