Kaeyappreciation post!
Kaeya is wonderful in a sense that he:
Has a penmanship described as "Beautiful Handwriting". He for sure worked on that.
Willingly spends his time making sure his outfit looks perfect
Is well-loved by Mondstadt and the Dawn Winery staff
Is described to like a prince, both in looks and in actions
Is shown to be gentle and caring to children and elderly, most seen with Klee and the staff from Dawn Winery
Is a great listener and, therefore, also knows what gifts to buy based off of something someone said in passing
Is predominantly kind- unafraid to help out and defend someone in need. His first reaction is always kindness, and worry about covering up that kindness later on
But Kaeya also has his moments where he:
Says things out of pocket with enough alcohol in his system. Things that usually lead to shame and regret.
Would rather give others the credit for his hard work if he could help it
Intentionally makes himself look suspicious by withholding information and only throwing tidbits that are not of substance
Has sadist tendencies, which affects how he treats both his (cavalry) company and his enemies
Can and will use underhanded tactics to gain the upper hand
Rarely ever says what he truly wants to say
Has a fake smile. Usually lies or only deals with half truths.
He is such a complex character. I really do want people to appreciate him and his intricacies more. The fact that his entire personality and story is done so well and continues to actually grow and expand as the story progresses is something that genuinely makes me want to keep watch of him. I have never, in all my fandoms, stuck to a character as long as I did with Kaeya, and honestly? I know I'm not alone with this.

#1. i try to register for council tax and have to give any previous edi addresses. i enter old postcode. the flat number isn't listed :)#2. i register for broadband & give my new address over the phone. somehow the order defaults to a previous address anyway#luckily i notice and call up to stop the engineer being sent out to a random house at the other end of the country#plusnet take my new details again but say they can't send a guy out for 3 weeks :)#don't have 4G in my new flat and work from home. i ask for a discount for my troubles since it wasn't my fault. they say no :)#3. i try to take my meter readings the day i move in to avoid paying too much energy bill. both meters are so old they've expired :)#i text the previous tenant she says it's an ongoing issue. she pestered the energy company about it for a year. they didn't do anything :)#4. the previous tenant was a filthy human being who has never picked up a duster or hoover in her life#i spend the first 48 hours in the new home cleaning up mouse droppings cobwebs and thick dust from every single surface :)#the landlord apologises and says he will send a cleaner next week. i have already cleaned everything but i accept anyway#5. i pass on my p45 to my new job as soon as possible to make sure i don't get put on the emergency tax rate#HR says this doesn't look right it's dated from six months ago. i say i haven't been working in that time they say ok leave it with us#one month later they contact me again to say hey your p45 is dated from six months ago :))) i say yes i know. i haven't been working#they say oh yes that's right. leave it with us :))))#i'm one minor inconvenience away from ending it all#dear diary

phil’s only been eating the salmon wet food (a problem bc there are three kinds in the variety pack) and the issue might actually be that she is a much more social eater than i expected, she’s fucking chowing down on a tuna blend bc (i assume) i am sitting between her and the door (where the other cat lives) (never mind that mack is still terrified of phil even though she’s been here three months)
#reset the office/phil’s room im anticipation of the job application week to come#there’s some stuff i’d like to hang up and the doors/baseboards to hit with a melamine sponge#as well as i think finally do the last round of mold remediation in this fucking main bedroom bath#and then i will have to paint over the three inches above the baseboard i ripped the paint off#also figure out something with the walk in closet which has become something of a dumping ground#these are all problems for future Kay#the main surfaces are wiped down and it is vacuumed and dusted and the litter is taken care of#and the toys are cycled out and the food and water bowls are clean#i have been doing one-sixteenth of a task every five minutes (different task each time)#but i did go food shopping and laundry is in the machine (including sheets)#HOOO boy i am having a bad brain time#phil#very little of this ended up being about Phil actually

Okay I'll admit some of the anti-Bayo 3 people are annoyingly fixated on how BayoJeanne should've been canon instead of cataloguing every single awful sin this game commits and that's why it's important to mostly hate with yourself on your own time when the mood strikes you and maybe with a few trusted people instead of browsing any anti tags or things of that nature.
#like yeah we were all talking shit in the spoilers tag when it came out but once the dust settled. Well.#so many don't understand the nuances of what makes Bayo 3 so terrible. Only the surface level terrible things.#honestly the fact that I literally only play the witch trials and haven't revisited any actual levels#has probably made me more generous to the gameplay than it strictly deserves what with all the annoying demon ride segments etc.#me vs bayo 3#and god the platforming.
