10 YEARS OF FROZEN !!!

This is nuts. So much has changed, yet I can still remember clearly how this animated movie captured my attention immediatly. At the time I wasn't much interested in animated movies, so I didn't watch it in theaters. But when I "discovered" it in 2014, it became an obsession. The characters, the story, the themes, even the music. These two sisters, despite their differeces, still longing for each other, yet facing trauma, their separation and the isolation from the rest of the world ... and even the other characters, Olaf, Kristoff & Sven, Hans, they all are so interesting to follow.

Everything captured my interest, as if I was watching not just something aimed for families, but FOR EVERYBODY in a deeper sense: a full fleshed-out movie that talked universaly to the whole audience, indifferently of age or gender.

And here talking is a guy who always loved blockbusters, is obsessed with Transformers, superhero movies etc so this speaks volumes of how special Frozen is, and its world-wide success is a proof of that. And all the time watching the movie, the ending always felt just like the beginning of something, which is why at the time, I was such a big supporter for a Frozen 2.

It's probably the first movie (animated or live-action is indifferent) that I actually analyzed deeper than just "Wow, how cool is that!". In a way, Frozen is what opened the doors for me to the world of cinema, wanting to learn more about the background work to develop a movie, the ideas, the vision and the ultimate goal of what they were or are narrating.

I own this movie so much and I can't wait for what the future will hold for us, knowing we are going to get a two-parter story as what is probably the "final chapter".

HAPPY 10 YEARS FROZEN !!!

I know we’ve all been drowned in Frozen since 2013, but I’m rewatching it and it deserved every bit of it’s hype.

The snow animation? Gold

The character design? Gold

The relationships? Gold

The theming? Nailed it

The song-writing? Just original enough to be excellent (other Disney movies hadn’t done the whole “sing conversationally” thing since Hunchback) without trying to fix what was never broken about other Disney movies. The character development? Just wonderful. Contrast the stiff and fearful older sister with the heedless and zany younger sister? Yes please. Contrast the polite and charming villain with the stinky and rude love interest? So good.

The voice acting? I actually re-watch the first movie and forget that quiet, young Elsa is played by Idina Menzel, because she’s doing such a good job of being reserved. Meanwhile I’m laughing at jokes made by Anna and Olaf even though I must have heard them a thousand times, simply because the delivery of the voice actors and the pacing of the dialogue is so on-point.

Everything about this movie was just plain good, and no wonder it’s every scene and beat was the obsession of 2013-2019

Context

Context for choice 4.

Hans finds the last piece to the mirror that has corrupted his heart and finds a world that has been completely taken over by the endless winter. In this universe, Anna never got the chance to save Elsa so she fully embraced her status as the snow queen. Hans tells her that there's a universe where Anna is still alive and Elsa plans an invasion.

Meanwhile, the real Elsa catches wind of this and has to find a way to stop them. Hans chooses to side with the real Elsa and Anna and sends Evil Elsa back.

Choice 8 context.

Frozen 3 would be a political drama about Arendelle facing an imminent war against the rest of the world. As the Duke of weselton created a council of nations who are plotting to destroy Arendelle and more specifically Elsa and the other elementals. The duke has also caused a coup in the southern isles and put Hans in power so that they could have the isle’s navy.

With their combined strength they would impose a treaty on the relatively weak Arendelle and force them to either contain Elsa and make her stop using all her magic and destroy all magic related creatures IE the trolls and Olaf. Elsa, unable to go through with these demands consult Anna who is very conflicted. After some back and forth Elsa gets angry and leave to prepare to attack the united world navy with the rest of the elemental creatures.

Anna will then have to race against time to negotiate with the other nations as Elsa and the navy get closer to fighting. Now due to it being a Disney film I think Elsa will have to miracoulsy not kill anyone while the fighting the potentially hundreds of battleships firing cannons at her and the water horse thing but it would be cool. They could let the lizard thing burn the gunpowder and force the ship to sink while gale and the golems could eliminate enemy soldiers.
