I think it’s funny that Ezra scoffs and says, “You thought she was dead!?” about Ahsoka as soon as Sabine says it. As if to say, “No. Whenever she comes close to death, she gets ripped into a time/ space portal by a god-owl. Ahsoka can’t die.”

Call back to the Forces of Destiny video in which Ahsoka teaches Ezra that he doesn't need his lightsaber in order to defend himself. (x)
And as I mentioned at the time this video came out, this lesson came in handy when Ezra went aboard Thrawn's star destroyer unarmed.

Ahsoka the Grey would have just destroyed the Eye of Sion in orbit, stranding Thrawn (and everyone else) in this far, far away galaxy. Ahsoka the White wants everyone---including Shin---to get home safely, even if that gives the Heir to the Empire™ the exact opportunity he and the Imperial Remnant forces have been waiting for. #GoWokeGoBroke*

Get major Borsk vibes from Xiono.
Full disclosure, I don’t dislike the idea of Xiono, I just think he’s kind of a stand-in for Borsk, the detracting politician who ignores all the evidence in favor of forwarding his own agendas. Only thing, this guy doesn’t seem to have clearly stated agendas, she is just determined to avoid any possibility of action regarding the remnant, and he seems to do so simply because he doesn’t want to do anything. Borsk, on the other hand, had reasons for everything that he was doing, including pretending that Thrawn wasn’t a threat, namely, his pursuit of power. Gaining all the power he possibly could at all times was his number one motivation, and Thrawn’s emergence came right as he was staging a prosecution of Admiral Ackbar that would’ve given him control of the military, and made him significantly more powerful in the New Republic. He is a slimy weasel the entire time, but he’s the kind of slimy weasel that you love to hate, and his story provides so much political intrigue and background to the New Republic, and does so in a way that was really interesting and well done. also, bringing in Borsk with canonize classic Bothans, and I really think Disney needs to stop beating around the bush and give us real Bothans already.
In short, I think that everything Senator Xiono does, Borsk would’ve done much better, ESPECIALLY getting wrecked politically by Leia.

I love how Ahsoka just puts her hands out to stop her kids from chasing after Shin as if to say, “nope, we’re not doing this.”
Shin is a feral force sensitive that will require Ahsoka to leave little plates of food out for until she warms up enough to her coax her into her little circle of other force sensitives. It’ll probably happen though.

“Stay together,” Huyang had warned them, had practically pleaded with them; and yet, as Ahsoka engaged Marrok and Sabine took Shin’s attention away, giving chase to the dark apprentice with blasters drawn. Each bolt was deflected smoothly as the Mandalorian chased Shin, though no bolts were sent back her way; almost as if she was being corralled to a predestined position.
The force pushed back on Sabine with a deafening crack, the force of it all absorbed through her beskar until her helmet was knocked off, falling into the leaves as she busied herself with clambering back to her feet.
Green met blooded orange in desperate attempts of self defense as Shin moved for the kill with each strike; in her peripherals, Sabine could see the red and white of Ahsoka’s battle with the inquisitor. It was hard to keep track of Marrok’s rotating blade while still avoiding the lunged attacks from the feral blonde, though Sabine noted with a mark of confidence now that they seemed to be getting sloppy; Maybe all that training with Huyang was finally paying off.
Their sabers crossed, orange level at Sabine’s throat while green pressed against the deadly blade, arms shaking with the exertion it took to keep them off of her. Shin’s eyes, normally more blue than ever, seemed unnaturally silver today, nothing like the woman that had towered over her on Lothal, and as her lip pulled back with the strain, Sabine caught the unnatural edge to too long canines, and the smear of blood against their teeth.
The red of Marrok’s saber disappeared, though the shining white of Fulcrum’s remained, risen just above her back as the Togruta turned to confirm her kill. There was a hollow echo of thousands of screams trapped in the chords of one body, causing both Sabine and Shin’s heads to turn just as the Inquisitor’s unstable form exploded into a hazy green mist that evaporated in the air.
Shin shoved off of Sabine, silver eyes focused on the Togruta across the clearing as their lip quivered; Sabine had to wonder if there was any empathy in them for their fallen ally, though trying to get a look at their face while offering her arms their much needed reprieve, Sabine only saw fear in their eyes. It was a good look on them, maybe.
The fear darkened their eyes as she watched their gaze flicker towards the sky and the moonlight filtering through the trees. With the Apprentice distracted, Sabine called out for her Master. “Go! Get the map!” Her teeth grit together at the feeling of Shin’s eyes back on her, turning murderous as they debated on chasing the Togruta that had just killed their friend, or engaging the Mandalorian further.
“I’ve got this.” Spoken more to herself than to Ahsoka, the Jedi still took off for their objective, leaving her alone with her conflicted opponent.
“You will regret this decision,” They snarled, poison on their tongue and blood pooling past their lips as they spoke, the woman’s nose twitched as she readied her saber, homicidal intent focused solely on the Togruta’s padawan for what would hopefully be the last time.
Sabine found herself once again, stuck on a heavy defensive as Shin pushed forward, blade swinging mercilessly and offering very few openings for the Mandalorian to swing. Once again, Shin pushed Sabine further from the map, guiding her deeper into the woods and away from her helmet, dodging, deflecting, and overpowering the shorter woman the whole way.
The lightsaber was forced from her hand with a particularly hard swing, giving her just enough time to raise her gauntlet and allow the saber to smack off of her beskar gauntlet instead, burning the gray and gold paint, but not breaching the surface of the metal even once.
Not that she had much time to celebrate her timely defense, as their boot was connecting with her abdomen, just under her armor, and forcing her back several feet, knocking her down onto her ass and into the mess of leaves and swings.
Sabine’s hand flew out, fingers splayed wide to give an impression of what they wanted to see from her; the force, the one thing that no matter how hard she tried, she could not connect with.
Shin’s head turned,  playing right into Sabine’s game as they expected a wave of power to send them flying, when they didn’t budge, a low growl started in their chest, setting the hair on the backs of her arms on edge as it reached her ears.
“You have no power,” Their teeth bared, though their saber clattered from their hold in the next second, spurring confusion in the seemingly defenseless Mandalorian.
Shin dropped to their knees with a soft gasp, the last sound Sabine heard before everything got Wrong. She was no stranger to gore and the different ways a body could be broken by war, but this wasn’t right, it was supernatural, right out of the tales told to children to keep them off the streets at night.
Bones cracked and splintered as flesh and fabric ripped and teared, and blood seeped from Shin’s ruined body as everything changed. Their bones took on a new shape as they writhed and twisted in the leaves, face elongating into something animalistic as their skin stretched across this new shape; the whole time, Shin didn’t make a sound, barely breathed once as their body shattered into something horrific.
By the time Sabine realized what they were becoming, it was too late; scrambling backward, the white wolf towered over her, snarling and chomping its maws as it advanced on the woman. “Karabast!” Sabine shouted, hands slipping against the leaves, speckled with Shin’s blood as she tried to back away.
Remembering the missiles, Sabine finally closed her open hand, activating her wrist launcher to send two loaded projectiles into the werewolf’s hide. It was only enough to have Shin’s head to turn away, but it gave Sabine the break she needed to make for the nearest tree, boots and fingers scrambling against the rough bark as she hauled herself up, just barely missing the gnashing of teeth at her heel as she ascended to a point they could not follow.
Snarling, the wolf’s attention shifted, blood still dripped from its mouth as their teeth finished the change, shoving past sensitive gums and denied the need to chew.
A distant howl pulled Shin’s attention from her prey, filling Sabine with the icy feeling of dread at the thought of Baylan being another supernatural monster and the thought of Ahsoka having to face him alone.
Their lightsaber clattered painfully between their sharp teeth as they snuffed about in the blood-stained leaves to retrieve the weapon. Sabine did not dare move until long after the heavy footfalls of their paws retreated back into the forest, forcing herself to take a moment to calm the erratic beating of her heart and still the shaking of her hands before taking her saber up again and following the plowed trail the wolf had left behind.
By the time she made it to the stone circle, she was met with quite a sight. Shin’s form was smashed into a stone monolith, rocks and pebbles scattered all around with blood matted to silvery fur, and standing over Ahsoka was a bipedal white wolf, claws pressing into the purified beam from Ahsoka’s saber. She could smell the burnt flesh of the Togruta, and the charred smell of Baylan’s claws as Ahsoka grew closer to cutting through them.
“Sabine,” Ahsoka whispered, though it rang through her ears like a megaphone, relief in the air of her voice as she struggled beneath the towering beast. “The map! Destroy it!”
She couldn’t process the events that happened next, as her brain tried to shield her from more compound trauma as she watched the wolf fling her Master from the ledge, as a weight settled in her chest much like the one she had felt as her family was killed; Ahsoka was dead.
Sabine remembered the map, remembered Baylan, and a mention about her family, but it all happened in a blur, a haze that could not penetrate the image of Ahsoka being thrown from the ledge, even when the monstrous wolf had turned towards her with blue-hued silver eyes and snarled in words only half recognizable as Basic.
The haze was only broken after a truce was made; the illusion was shattered by the crushing feeling of invisible force around her windpipes, claws scratching against stone, and Baylan calling for Shin to stop, growling and snapping his teeth at his own apprentice as Sabine slumped bonelessly to the floor.
The next time Shin came in Sabine’s peripherals from the side, it was in a form almost as scary as the wolf; fur clung to bloodstained skin as their bones cracked and rippled beneath the surface, body forcing itself through another transformation despite the moon’s high placement in the sky, the sharp angles of their ears poked out from the veil of hair, tangled and matted with pebbles caught in the strands, armor pieces just barely hanging on to the threads of the ruined tunic and plastered to her shins.
Fur still covered their knuckles and their nails were as sharp as a fresh vibroblade as they reached to snatch Sabine’s saber and blasters from the ground, away from the downtrodden Mandalorian, even as they itched to sink their teeth and talons into the purple-haired woman; Baylan made a promise, meaning their own desires would need put on hold until the contract was completed.
Even the press of a razor-sharp claw into her wrist dulled into the haze as the Mandalorian was cuffed and stuffed into their transport, moved to the hyperspace ring docked just in orbit, and offloaded into the giant command deck, just in time to watch more family die, as the ghost was left in the direct path of their jump to hyperspace.
â€œHera,” She called out, pulling against Shin’s arm, wincing as the claw sank past her suit and into her arm, only stopping her vain attempts at… something, when Shin yanked her back.
She’d lost two of her own; and for what? A chance, a sliver of a chance, at finding Ezra? What would they do if he was still alive? How would they get home? Did she even want to make it there alive? If she was lucky, Shin would kill her; that sounded acceptable, at least, letting the kurs’kaded be the one to take her life, maybe she could see how far they could be pushed, first; Get one final game out of her last days.
Shin was careful in removing her armor, though the claws still pinched and scratched away paint, poking small holes into the fabric as she went. Kneeling in front of Sabine, the Mandalorian found something new to focus on. The wolf’s fingers were slipped between the top of her boot, removing the small blade hidden there, giving Sabine a view of messy blonde hair, and the way unnaturally silver eyes had seemed to catch her train of thought at the exact same time as Sabine managed to think of all the other ways they could be on their knees.
Shining eyes met her gaze in a quiet challenge, no words spoken between either woman, even as Sabine unashamedly projected image after image, and as the apprentice seemed to gloss over the unnatural addition packed between the apex of the Mandalorian’s thighs.  Anything would be better than focusing on the deaths of the ones she loved, and hyper-fixating on the thought of wrecking and being wrecked was better suited for her energy than wallowing in grief. Or maybe she was horny enough that it persisted despite the anchoring sorrow, frankly. Sabine didn’t have the energy to care.

Things I love about Ahsoka Ep. 7: Dreams and Madness
Anakin making holo-recordings for Ahsoka.
Tumblr media
All I see is Anakin making video diaries and tutorials for his little sister. We hadn’t hear him say it, but he absolutely loves her and cares a lot for her. The question now is, how the hell did she get hold of those holo-recordings? Also, we need to see all 20 of them. I also think she had probs shown it to Luke and Leia at some point.
Leia saves Hera.
Tumblr media
Of course, Leia would save everyone’s ass from trouble. It has always been her thing. C-3PO's timing was perfect. Also, Senator Xiono can go fuck himself. Chopper ready to throw hands at a senator is icing on the cake. And if they translate what he said, the entire thing would probably be bleeped out.
Huyang is an Obi-Wan Kenobi droid version.
Tumblr media
Huyang complaining about Ahsoka’s reckless actions is so funny to me, honestly. In a way, she's being the Anakin to Huyang, being that Voice-of-Reason Obi-Wan persona to contradict to.
Thrawn’s mini-heart attack when he finds out who Ahsoka’s master was.
Tumblr media
Thrawn, externally: *pokerface*
Thrawn, internally: What? No. That togruta bitch was trained by Anakin fucking Skywalker?! Omfg, this changes things.
So, a little background, Thrawn had always admired Anakin Skywalker and had worked alongside him since the clone wars, then as Darth Vader during the empire era. And to put it on modern terms, Thrawn was his biggest fan. He knows how powerful Anakin was and what he was capable of doing. So knowing that Anakin taught Ahsoka is information that could either make him or break him.
Ezra’s reaction to Sabine telling her about Ahsoka taking her as her padawan.
Tumblr media
His reaction is the most Ezra thing ever. Obviously, he didn't expected Ahsoka to take on Sabine as her padawan considering she isn't force-sensitive. And Ezra is literally all of us when when we first watched the show, btw.
Ahsoka and Sabine’s Force bond.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s natural for the master and padawan to have a bond through the Force, regardless if jedi or sith. But with Sabine’s lack of force-sensitivity, this was something I did not expect. But nevertheless, I’m extremely happy about it.
Ezra and Sabine’s chaotic sibling energy.
Tumblr media
We all know Ezra and Sabine go way back. They’ve been friends for a long time, they radiate chaotic sibling energy (sorry, sabezra/ezrabine shippers), even to the point of arguing while fighting for their lives. It's good to see that some things haven't changed.
Ahsoka and Ezra’s hug.
Tumblr media
The last time these two met each other was in the World between Worlds, after Ezra saved Ahsoka from Darth Vader. Ahsoka had promised to find him when they get of there. But then again, they were at different points in time and Ezra disappeared with Thrawn to another galaxy. That makes this hug much more heartfelt and meaningful.
Ahsoka Tano of the Disaster Lineage™
Tumblr media
• Unpredictable
• Reckless
• Purposely coming in late just to make a dramatic grand entrance and/or exit
• Never runs out of sassy comebacks when talking to the enemy
• Annoying the crap out of the people around them
• Has the signature troublemaker smirk 😏
• Expert lightsaber duelist
• Not following the no-attachment-rule
• Having good friendship with their padawans
Yep, she checks all the boxes and just further cements herself as part of the infamous Disaster Lineage™. Not to mention that she's indirectly teaching Sabine the same stuff. I can already hear Force Ghost Anakin cheering her on.
There are a lot of loose ends to tie in the season finale. Let's hope they'll give us an epic one and an interesting plotline for season 2.
