I loved this beautiful Fanart of the Dratis ship of The Guardians of the Galaxy of the characters of Drax The Destroyer and Mantis together and above all because I really love that this fanart is based on the second movie of The Guardians of the Galaxy and above all because I really love that in the Drax and Mantis they are sleeping together with her hugging him and I also love the fact that in the Yondu he has survived and has not died but at the same time despite the fact that I am also aware that in The characters of Kraglin, Nebula, Peter, Gamora, Groot, Rocket are also present obviously in addition to Yondu and I really would have liked us to have had a scene like it is in the second movie of The Guardians of the Galaxy and in reality I especially wanted to actually show them the Dratis ship of the characters of Drax and Mantis together ... I don't know about you but I really want to see them together again in the next series and movies of the UCM and that then we can see them again... sincerely

Ever since you met Adam Warlock, he had been head over heels for you. Constantly following you around, wanting to be by your side 24/7, interested in your hobbies, and so much more.

You honestly didn’t mind it and found it adorable. And you would be lying if you said you weren’t catching feelings too.

Adam and you had been on quite a few dates since meeting and tried to spend most of your time together since Rocket always whisked him away for Guardians’ duties. He would always pout when he had to leave, but would always kiss you with so much passion, that the rest of the guardians would gag while boarding the ship.

And your brother seemed to not enjoy the constant hanging out together as much as you did. Peter had begun to call you at the end of each week from Earth to catch up on what was going on. He quickly noticed your interests began to revolve around Adam and you two seemed to be attached to the hip.

“So, the guy saves me and you fall madly in love with him?” Peter snickered and shook his head. “I leave for a few months and already it sounds like you two are married.”

You rolled your eyes at your brother’s response, not wanting to hear any of his nonsense. “So what? I am an adult and can do whatever I please.”

“Okay sure, let me know when the wedding is.”

You were about to fire back until Adam walked in from the bathroom only in a towel, saw Peter on the monitor, and promptly fell to the ground and army crawled away.

You groaned and dragged your hand across your face. “Adam!”

“Hey hey wait a minute! I was joking about the wedding, Adam get your ass back to the screen!” Peter began to shout over the screen. “Stay away from my sister!”

“Okay bye, love you!” You hurried and ended the call quickly.

Adam rose from behind the side of the bed and shrugged innocently when you turned to him. You picked up a pillow from the ground and tossed it at his head.

“Sweetheart! I told you I was calling my brother, he was finally warming up to the idea of us,” you stood up and laid flat on the bed. “Now he’s seen you half naked in my place so I can only imagine he’s going to fly all the way here to beat you up.”

Adam shuffled into clothes and flopped beside you. “I would like to see him try to keep me away from you.”

You faced him and couldn’t help but melt at his cute pouty face. “Yeah yeah, but please don’t hurt my brother if he tries to kick your ass.”

Adam nodded and grabbed you lovingly in his arms. “Can we just stay in today?”

“Why’s that?” You mumbled into his chest.

“Because I rather cuddle my girlfriend than help rocket on a mission today.” Adam kissed your forehead repeatedly and made you giggle uncontrollably.

“Stop stop!” You said and pushed on his chest. “Why don’t you go tell rocket that you can’t make it and then we can have a lazy day in?”

Adam planted a kiss on your check, stood up, saluted you, then quickly left to get out of saving the world today - simply because his world was too cute to leave.

An hour went by without Adam returning, and it wasn’t until your monitor began to beep did you put two and two together. You answered the call that was coming from the Guardians’ ship and saw Adam’s face pop up, and he was in full gear.

You shook your head and sighed, “Care to explain yourself?”

“Okay, well,” Adam dragged off his voice and moved a bit from the screen to point an accusing finger towards Rocket, “He told me it would only take an hour, but once I got on the ship he told me it was a two day trip.”

Rocket popped up and said, “Sorry for stealing your boyfriend, (Y/N). You’ll have to cuddle your pillow the next couple of nights. The world needs Warlock, and trust me I wouldn’t bring his bright gold self unless it was necessary.”

Rocket jumped away when Adam tried to wack him.

“I’m sorry my love. I promise it will go by quick and I’ll be back before you can say ‘I have the best boyfriend in the whole wide galaxy and he’s gonna smother me in kisses when he returns!’” Adam tried to do a high pitched voice to imitate you to which you rolled your eyes.

“Alright, whatever you say,” you waved and blew a kiss to him before ending the call.

The next few days were uneventful, and you were knocked out asleep when your guardians pin began to beep and pulled you out of sleep.

You pressed on it and spoke into it sleepily, “what’s wrong?”

Rocket’s urgent voice spoke through the comm, and it made you wake up fully. “(Y/N)! Prepare med packs! Adam got hit and we need to work on him urgently!”

You rushed out of your apartment and down flights of stairs before running to the supply closet. You pressed your comm again to speak to Nebula. Once she finally answered, you explained quickly what was going on and she was next to you within minutes to set up for their arrival.

It wasn’t long before Kraglin rushed in with Adam slumped over his shoulder, barely responsive. He placed him on a nearby table while you grabbed Adam’s hand and tried to figure out what was wrong with him.

“He took a blow to his stomach, we should be able to patch him up quickly but the beast repeatedly hit him in the wound… making him bleed out.” Kraglin was rushing his words, not making complete sense but still wanting to explain everything.

You nodded as Nebula put a med pack on his stomach, hoping it would help. Adam started to breath deeply and you let out a small cry seeing him in such distress.

A part of you knew that the pack would either help or just make the situation worse. As Adam didn’t wake up quickly enough to be okay, you grabbed a sewing kit, alcohol, and a towel.

Removing the med pack, you removed his vest and immediately began to work with Nebula’s help. It was a tense moment, only the sounds of Adam’s breathing could be heard in the room.

Not too long after you finished the stitch across his stomach and placed the med pack on his wound to finish the healing process. Everyone let out a breath of relief as Adam began to breath normally again.

“You guys can go and clean up, I bet you all have some wounds that need to be tended to.” You said to Kraglin and Rocket who nodded.

Nebula reassured Rocket that she wouldn’t leave you alone. You smiled gratefully at her as you grabbed Adam’s hand and pulled up a chair beside the table.

“I’m gonna wait a few hours before trying to move him to my place.”

Hours went by and you had fallen asleep, still holding tightly onto Adam, not wanting to let go in fear something bad would happen if you did. It was in those moments, going in and out of sleep - that you both realized how much you truly loved one another. It was a selfless and innocent love, something so pure that nothing would come in-between the two of you.

Adam had woken up first, confused and sore, but the moment he saw you slumped over the table, holding his hand - he instantly calmed down. He was so relieved he made it back alive and was with you again. He remembered his promise he made and kissed your hand repeatedly to wake you up.

With a startled jump, you woke up in a frenzy and immediately checked to see if something was wrong.

“Did I worry you?” Adam said softly, gazing lovingly at you.

“Oh, so so much.” You placed a hand on his cheek, so happy to see him awake and well. “I think I might have to kidnap you from missions from now on until you’re better.”

“Trust me, I am going to try to take less advice from Rocket and Groot on missions… and take a break.” Adam said and shuttered as if remembering how he ended up in the situation in the first place.

“I’m just happy you’re home,” you smiled and placed a kiss on his cheek.

Adam became teary-eyed at the thought of you being his home. After being pulled out of the cocoon too early and losing his mother, he had felt like he would never feel at home anywhere and be lost without anything to live for. Thankfully, he was wrong. He had found you and the guardians, and now he could go home to someone who loved and cared for him. And Peter would be lying if he said he wasn’t happy that you had found someone to love. In the whole of the galaxy, your brother was happy you had Adam.

Meet The Guardians Of The Galaxy

Summary: The Avengers meet the Guardians of the Galaxy for the first time.

Pairing: Bucky Barnes x Avenger!Female Reader

Warnings: Minimal use of Y/N. Language. A lot of fluff. My poor attempts at being funny.

A/N: I'm not sure what this is, but I was just thinking how it might go if the Avengers met the Guardians of the Galaxy. It started with the reader cooing at Groot and Bucky being jealous and this is what came out, lol, hope you like it! Needless to say, this doesn't follow the MCU timeline, like basically all of my other stories. Don't ask me how Thor knows the Guardians, the bitch just do. I also just needed Bucky fluff, like always, and I'm really happy how it turned out! Like always I appreciate asks and messages and am always up for it if you have any ideas.

By this point you’re very aware that there’s life on other planets, that the universe is a place much bigger than you ever imagined. Working with the Avengers allows you to see so many things that you never thought could possibly even exist.

Super soldiers, superheroes, enhanced individuals, even Thor himself is a demi-god from literally a different planet.

This particular demi-god is the reason why today you and the rest of the team find yourselves in the common room of the Avengers Compound, a spaceship casually parked in your yard.

They call themselves the Guardians of the Galaxy: Peter Quill, Gamora, Rocket, Nebula, Drax and Mantis, literal aliens currently bickering amongst themselves because they came to earth to visit Thor the wrong day, resulting in Thor not being home for their arrival.

"Is that a plushie?" you ask, a little confused, pointing at a little teddy bear-like thing on Quill’s shoulder and effectively ending their search for who is at fault for their mistake.

He looks even more confused than you and asks "What the hell is a plushie? This is Groot, he’s a Flora Colossi."

You decide, for my own peace of mind, to ignore the latin and instead focus on the cute little thing on his shoulder who is now moving and looking at you weirdly.

"I am Groot." he says in the cutest voice ever.

"Oh my god, you're just adorable!" You say, reaching your finger out for him to hold, freaking out at his cuteness.

"I remember when you used to talk to me like that…" you hear Bucky mumble behind you, which makes you laugh and, with your attention still completely on Groot, you tell him "God, you really are a needy bitch, Barnes." at which everybody laughs.

"Yeah? And you’re just a bi-"

"Hey!" you basically yell, interrupting him and startling Groot.

"I’m kidding!" he quickly says, putting up his hands in defeat. With one last glare at Bucky, your attention turns back to Groot.

"I am Groot!" he says again.

"I know honey, you said that." you tell him.

"I am Groot." he says, yet again, at which Sam answers "Yeah, you’re Groot, got it."

Groot says "I am Groot." again and, before Sam can say something that you're sure is gonna be very rude, you turn to the Guardians and ask "Why does he keep saying that?"

Rocket is the one to answer "Well, he don't know talking good like me and you. So his vocabulistics is limited to I and am and Groot. Exclusively in that order."

His answer leaves you all a little dumbfounded but again, for your own sanity, you all seem to decide to let it go.

Instead Bruce asks "So how do you understand him?"

"We speak Groot." Nebula says like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"How can you speak ‘Groot’ if he says literally the same three words, in the exact same order, in the same way every time?" Tony asks, starting to get a little frustrated, probably because the genius can’t do something that seems to come really easy to a bunch of space idiots.

"We manage." Quill simply says.

At this point Groot reaches his little hands towards you, signaling that he wants to be picked up, so, before Tony can make any sarcastic comment, you look at Quill and ask, excitement clear on your face "Can I?" while pointing at an awaiting Groot.

"Sure." He says, and you very carefully pick him up and put him on your shoulder.

"Be careful not to move too fast, he’ll hold onto your hair for dear life." Gamora warns you.

"Noted." you say giggling a little when Groot sticks his tongue out to Gamora, then she does the same to him, making everyone else laugh too.

"Buck, look how cute he is." you coo at Groot who's playing with your finger.

"’s not that cute…" he says quietly but you hear him, and apparently so does Groot because he says "I am Groot." in a very annoyed tone that prompts a chorus of whoas and protests from the guardians.

"The acorns on you, kid!" Quill says, and everybody just knows he said some really bad words to Bucky.

"Who even taught you that word?!" Rocket sounds like an exasperated parent.

"I am Groot."

"What do you mean, Drax taught you?! WHY WOULD YOU TEACH HIM THAT?" 

"The small tree asked." Drax says unbothered.

"Just because he asks doesn't mean you have to teach him dirty words!"

"How was I supposed to know that?"

"It's really common sense, Drax." Gamora interjects, calmer than Rocket.

"I am Groot."

"See, even Groot knows you don’t have common sense, Drax, that’s why he asked you." Quill says.

"I am Groot."

"I am not stupid, tree!" Drax glares at Groot.

"See, he’s not cute. He’s a disrespectful little shit!" Bucky says, also glaring at poor Groot.

"I am Groot." the guardians snicker, leaving the rest of you confused.

"What? What did he say?" you're too curious not to ask as Groot is now glaring back at Bucky.

"He said he doesn’t understand how a sweet person like you is with someone like him." Nebula translates, earning some gasps and snickers from everyone else too.

You look at Bucky trying hard not to laugh and he looks like he's about 5 seconds away from murdering Groot.

He takes a step towards you but Groot, still on your shoulder, makes the cutest little growl and starts flinging one of his arms around in Bucky’s direction, the other one holding to your hair so as to not fall.

"Oh, he’s ready to fight a bitch." you say unable to hold in your laughter any longer and the others follow you.

"What?" you turn around and Drax is giving you a confused look.

"What?" you say, calming down from your laughter.

"I do not understand. He does not resemble a female dog." he looks at Bucky and then back at you.

"He- I don- What?" you’re as confused as you’ve ever been, everybody else’s faces mirroring your own.

"His people are completely literal, he doesn’t understand metaphors." Rocket explains.

"Oh… fun." Tony says, still a little confused.

"Is it though?" you hear Gamora mumble, before Mantis starts giggling.

"It is!" she says with the joy of a kid on christmas morning.

"It’s really not." Nebula says casually, and from that the Guardians start bickering amongst each other.

You look at Groot who’s still on the warpath with Bucky and then at Rocket, the only one not saying anything.

He meets your eyes and simply says. "This is what I gotta live with."

"Oh, poor little racoon." you coo at him while laughing and that seems to stop the bickering.

"Hey, I am no racoon!" Rocket tells you defensively.

"I am Groot." Rocket groans and Quill snickers.

"Groot’s right, he’s a trash panda." he says knowing the people of earth will know why that’s funny.

Some of the Avengers laugh, but you gasp trying to hide your amusement for Rocket’s sake.

"You know, you might be right, Buck. He’s not that cute and innocent after all." you turn to your boyfriend, who gives you a slight pout.

"I’m cuter than him, right"- he asks you with those puppy eyes he knows make you melt.

"Aww, of course you are, baby." you give him a kiss on the cheek, almost forgetting about Groot on your shoulder until he talks again.

"I am Groot." the Guardians “aww” and coo at him but before you can ask, Mantis explains. "He says he understands now why you’re together."

"He says he can see how much you two love each other." Gamora finishes.

You smile at Groot and he smiles back before making the cutest yawn, looking at Bucky and doing grabby hands at him.

Bucky looks at you and you take his hand and guide it towards where Groot is, he’s uncertain but when Groot climbs on his hand Bucky looks almost like a little kid seeing a butterfly up close for the first time.

He brings Groot against his chest and the little tree gets comfortable and falls asleep almost immediately, while everyone else in the room coos at the two.

"This might be the cutest thing I’ve ever seen." you whisper, not wanting to wake up Groot, and Bucky looks up at you and flashes a smile bright enough to light up the whole of New York.

"I guess he is kind of cute." he says looking back down at Groot’s sleeping form, leaving everyone else snickering as quietly as they can, while he imagines how it would be to be like this one day with a baby that’s his and yours, and you can’t help but think the same thing.

Description: I live for angst, and this is going to be just a short few parts where reader rejects Adam's advances but slowly finds themselves being hit with the realization that they do indeed harbor feelings; although, not as strongly, but they were beginning to grow.

Warnings: mentions of canonical deaths, canonical violence, swearing, reader fell for Steve Rogers, alcohol consumption, (more will be added accordingly)

However I’d like to inform you that this is very much simplified and is based around vol.3 of Guardians of The Galaxy as well as Endgame, a small brief moment of Love and Thunder and the Holiday Special.

The first flight off of Terra was agonizing, the urge to vomit right on the ships floor was one of your first thoughts. Adjusting to your new life was going to be difficult, flying was already becoming one of those hardships. It didn't take long for the sickness to subside; the absolutely beautiful sight of stars and galaxies took your breath away. It was definitely a sight to behold, never in your life had you thought of ever leaving Earth, yet here you were on a spaceship rushing through the vast, endless space to who knows where, with an interesting group of creatures.

You were introduced to the whole group with a stoic expression, almost intimidating. As easily as it was for you to mingle with people that sickness came back tenfold as you jumped through a golden barrier.

Rocket wasn't too harsh with your introduction, mentioning you being a sweet doll who helped him, and Nebula settle into Terra during the first year after the Snap, welcoming them with open arms like they were family. He obviously left out the drunken nights he'd spent nagging your ear off with his sobs and passive aggressiveness.

Nebula stepped in to give good word as well, making you out to be this mighty badass which was high praise but honestly made you seem like someone who would bump heads with anyone and everyone.

That wasn't true, right?

Just as you finished that thought, her hand found its way up on your shoulder as she nudged you forward aggressively, it felt incredibly rude to you. You nearly snapped at her. You knew affection was not her strong suit, so you let it go almost as quickly as the anger rose.

That answered your question.

When you joined the Guardians, you didn't realize Thor had tagged along as well as his friend Korg.

It ended up being you, him and Korg being the closest of everyone else, which didn't come as a surprise. You'd spend most nights up drinking with Thor but not as much as he could, he could drink an ungodly amount and barely be getting a buzz.

Those nights you'd talk to them about Steve, you'd open up to him like one would to an older sibling and instead of judging you he would give you advice, a helping hand.

He taught you many things about Asgard, how it was before Ragnarök and his sister, brother and father. He would talk highly of his mother. He even mentioned Jane, and how he missed her deeply. Korg would pitch in a joke or two to lift the mood just enough for you two to relax. It was like a nightly therapy session for you both, never ending and oh so sweet.

Once you became accustomed to the others on the ship conversations ran smoothly.

You were everything Rocket and Nebula described you to be, a sweetheart with a short fuse who could be a badass in the field, a combination that oddly fit you well.

The missions weren't too hard, most would last less than a day and some lasting weeks. The ones you enjoyed were visiting different planets and seeing the culture, the food, the species. It never got old seeing such beautiful places.

When you weren't on missions Rocket would teach you some random technological stuff you hadn't really memorized as easily as he wanted you to. You stuck with it, even the random long tiring night up late helping him build and fix trinkets and weaponry were becoming like second nature to you.

Nebula on the other hand, would need your help fixing things around the ship as well as helping Rocket build new weapons. It never stuck to one thing though, she helped teach you the planets, galaxies, things to stay away from, who to stay away from, what precautions you needed to take and so on. Your relationship felt like a sisterly bond. She'd scold you, you'd argue back then bounce right back to being friends again like the broken machinery and tense atmosphere didn't happen.

Quill taught you how to pilot the ship, but it was mostly him asking questions about life on Terra and how the music industry is doing, even as going as far to ask for song recommendations when his music wasn't hitting as hard as it usually did.  You learned from Nebula that her sister and Quill had a thing before Thanos tossed her off a cliff, a relationship that you knew had him broken up since she came back from the past. Unknown to anyone else you and Quill got quite close due to his habit of drinking with you, Thor and Korg. It was just another group therapy session with him included. It made those night more fun when him and Thor would bicker back and forth like second nature, then go back to being big saps about the women they've lost.

Kraglin had joined your adventures not long after, leaving this group of people called the Ravengers. He was someone who had spoken very highly of Quill, mentioning that him and another named Yondu raised Quill within the groups of Ranvengers. It was a lot to take in, but his explanation was simplified enough for you to grasp for the most part. You two practiced his use of his flying arrow or as you've come to know its name of a Taka arrow, powered by the fin atop his head. Kraglin had absolutely no control over the arrow when it would constantly piercing the wrong thing, not limited to Drax, yourself, Nebula and pieces of hardware. He was good fun to be around otherwise.

Drax, Groot and Mantis were just a bunch of goofballs. sharing their stories of past adventures.

Drax was very literal, and his honesty was like being hit by a truck. You were told by Quill how his species worked and how some things would go over his head if you weren't up front about asking him direct questions and giving him direct instructions. You two got along well with arm wrestles and brute force, which was entertaining for everyone to see. He talked about his life before the Guardians and how he lost his wife and child, something you could somewhat relate to but not entirely.

Mantis was very sweet and a bit oblivious to certain things, she wasn't annoying but very close to it. You enjoyed her company and how she would talk about her solitary life with Ego and how she became a Guardian. Her and Drax would bicker sometimes and she would end up hurting his feelings, only for her to magically make him feel better with a simple touch and instructional words. You hoped you hadn't already been rewired by her, which was now a constant fear for you as less threatening as she seemed.

Groot was a hard one to crack, not being able to understand a lick of what he said.

"I am Groot." Can only be translated to just those three words, you honestly thought everyone was joking that he said full sentence or just a single word, but as time went on you slowly came around to understanding most of what he was saying. He'd pop out a flower every now and again, different varieties of them but once he figured out your favorite, he'd be constantly giving you one. It was a sweet gesture especially on those days that had you stressed and wanting to jump out the airlock.

They were all very welcoming considering everything that had happened. It wasn't just friends, it was a family. As much as you loved and cared for the Avengers, this group had struck you in the heart much harder than they had. It was really a happy family, a family you didn't know you needed.

It was nice.

Life in space was vast, something new every day, but you enjoyed the celebrations after a tough mission; many of them included drinking and dancing, dancing was something you've come to enjoy and had a knack for. There was just something about having space right in front of your eyes that made it seem like life could go on forever and you would never get sick of it. it was like a never-ending adventure, but once again life had to slap you with a reality check.

Things were always changing and there was nothing you could do but watch it unfold and adapt.

That change had been Thor, who had business to attend too with a mass god murderer on the loose. He left abruptly which had left you with a much bigger hole in your chest than you would've liked. He even offered for you to go with him, but you knew it would hurt much more leaving the Guardians than it would be to let go of Thor.

"I will visit when I figure out what is happening. Please don't forget me."

Thor was so dramatic it was honestly something that you adored about the god but you knew he would keep his promise.

It was a very dramatic exit for the God of Thunder, he had everyone on the ship relieved of his departure especially Quill, who always had to rival against his attempts at claiming leadership. It was always an interesting interaction; it always had you folded over laughing your ass off.

You would miss that; you already knew it.

Everything after Thor left the Guardians was a blur. Once he left, the missions were a bit harder to deal with. You and Drax taking most of the beating and taking down more of the larger opponents.

The medical bay was always occupied by one of you, mostly Drax, who thought he could out rank you in strength by being a complete fool and diving headfirst into danger just to prove a point. You only stayed in the medical bay to rest after a mission, just to heal within a half hour to an hour depending on the wound.

Everything continued to move smoothly up until you had the bright idea of mentioning a home, like the ship wasn't enough for you. You thought they'd get offended, ague with you but to your surprise they had agreed.

That was when you all chipped in to buy the head of a god from someone called The Collector, a severed head of a god called Nowhere. It was a big fixer upper if they asked you, but it was definitely a nice start to having an actual home compared to sharing bunks and limited space within a ship.

I loved this beautiful Fanart of Dratis' ship of Guardians of the Galaxy of the characters of Drax The Destroyer and Mantis together and above all because I really loved the way Mantis hugged Drax from behind while he drove the motorcycle he had stolen from the civilian before they went to help Nebula, Peter and Groot when Drax realized that it was a trap and above all because in this scene of the third movie of The Guardians of the Galaxy of the MCU is one of My favorites to be honest the truth and above all because I really think that moment between Drax and Mantis on the planet of The High Evolutionator really seems very romantic to me... I don't know about you but I really want to see them together again in the next series and movies of the UCM and that then we can see them again... sincerely

No...

This wasn't supposed to happen.

You weren't supposed to die in space.

None of you were.

But Thanos had taken Gamora, and Peter, Drax, Mantis, and two of the Avengers you'd met all turned to dust right in front of you.

Your heart suddenly broke, knowing that Groot and Rocket were with Thor.

And now you were stuck in space with Nebula and Tony Stark.

Two people you were not incredibly fond of.

Once you were rescued and brought back to Earth, you learned that Rocket was alive, but Groot hadn't made it.

"What the hell happened to us, Kid?"

And even though he wouldn't admit it to anyone but you, he cried.

You cried for months after losing the love of your life.

But in the five years that followed that fateful day, you never moved on.

You kept yourself busy helping Rocket and Nebula to hold the Galaxy together and searching for Thanos while many of the heroes were 'dead'. And then one day, a bug dude showed up and brought the concept of time travel with him.

And this is how you ended up back on Morag in 2014.

It was the first time you'd seen Peter since he dusted. You desperately wanted to run to him and kiss him again, but this wasn't your Peter.

As he danced dramatically to 'Come and Get Your Love', you, Nebula and 'Rhodey'—as you'd been introduced—watched on at the utter ridiculousness.

Rhodey broke this silence.

"So he's an idiot."

You couldn't disagree.

"Yeah." You smiled sadly. "He's my idiot, though."

After all you'd been through there was no turning back now.

Portals opened everywhere in the ruins of the Avengers campus, and that's when you spotted Drax and Mantis, then—

Him. Your sweet, loveable idiot, Peter Quill. Sprinting over to join your found family once again, he spotted you and broke a smile. You returned it, giving him a desperate kiss when you reached him.

"I thought I lost you forever!" You cried, clinging to his jacket.

He looked confused. "It was only a few hours?"

Your head snapped up.

"Uh, try five years."

"What?..." He whispered, eyes widening as if horrified by the concept of you being alone for five years.

You turned towards Mantis and Drax, waving to them with a giddy expression. They both waved back, and you all faced the Mad Titan's army ahead.

And soon, you were right in the thick of it.

Lunging at a nightmarish humanoid creature, you blasted it before turning to cover Peter, who was fighting off two more. Once those were taken care of, you moved in and fought them back to back. Being close to Peter again felt like heaven, even in the battlefield.

Even when you saw all of the Female avengers joining to push back against the army, you were hesitant to leave Peter's side in fear that you'd lose him again.

"Go." He told you with a smile and a kiss. "I'll be here when it's over."

You ran after Mantis and Nebula, spotting...Gamora? You weren't sure how that worked, but you were glad nonetheless. It didn't feel right that Natasha wasn't there, but this, you felt, was to honor her. It was what she would want.

Fighting a pale squid looking thing, you watched over it's shoulder at Carol, the woman who had saved you in space, entering the fight. You cheered wildly and pumped your fist in the air. There was no way you would lose, now.

As you struggled with a Titan monster, you received some help from Groot, who skewered it with a thick branch while you blasted it in the head.

"Thanks, buddy." You high fived him.

"I am Groot."

"It's good to see you too!"

And all of the sudden, the Titans were disappearing.

It was then that you looked over to see Tony, slumped against a piece of wreckage, pale and barely breathing. It hit you that he had just snapped the enemy away, and that had drained everything out of him.

You shared a sad look with Rocket.

As dickish as Tony was, he had a good heart.

And he gave it all to save the world.

Everyone stood in silence as he breathed his last. And then one by one, they began to kneel. A king, a sorcerer, a captain, a soldier, an assassin, all from different backgrounds, honored one man. You kneeled and began to cry, knowing that he had a wife and daughter, one of which would be waiting for him.

After the funeral, you sat at the edge of the lake outside the Stark's cabin. Peter sat down next to you and slid an arm around your waist.

"He didn't have to do that." You bit back tears and leaned into him.

He signed deeply. "I don't think he saw a choice."

You had learned that Gamora, was in fact not the one you knew, but the one that didn't know any of you. The last you'd heard is that she'd run off in a ship from the battlefield.

"I missed you, Peter. You have no idea." You sobbed.

He pulled you closer "I'm sorry you had to go through that, babe."

"I...I couldn't bring myself to move on. You better treat Rocket right, too. He's the only reason I'm still here."

"I'm really glad you didn't. And, were on good terms, trust me."

You chuckled, giving a small smile.

"There it is." Peter crooned, kissing your jaw softly. "Wanna go get Dairy Queen before we head back out there?"

"Hell yeah!" You cheered.
