I would like to offer my humble assistance in helping dragon Ares collect a hoard. Seems like it'd help a little with his stress.
Once he figures out something he likes, let him know I'll be on the look out for it!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He'll figure it out eventually, it just takes time.
Some Dragon Lore for you: Some dragons develop an interest in items they had experienced from their parents' hoards. or just accidentally during or after migration. However, since him and Apollo were raised by hylians, Ares steals pillows and blankets instead since that's all he can really think of or access. He just doesn't get that "hoarding-satisfaction" most dragons do if they have items that click with them.

Playing around with half-dragon Warriors. Inspired by chapter 23 of @skyward-floored’s whumptober fic.
Just wanted to play with Warrior’s dragon features and what his “performance” would be in his and Legend’s uh new job 😅
Also had this AMV on repeat most the time I was drawing this so you can get a vibe of what inspired Warrior’s “dragon dancing”

Wild Card! Pick something on the need to write list ideas you might have!
You know what? I'm writing Part Two of Dragon! King! Time and no one can stop me. >:D
I'm writing this for me!!!
Masterlist
Part one
Content under the cut!
"Where are they?" A deep growl shakes the entirely of the castle. "WHERE ARE THEY?!"
"Your Majesty, please calm down before you destroy the castle." Warrior bite his lips, not at all excited for the conversation he is about to have.
"They are supposed to come every two weeks." The kings growls incessantly. "If I had marked them by now, I would at least have a hint at what happened to them. Are you sure they haven't showed up at the apartment?"
"Positive, sir." Warrior begins to feel a little sick to his stomach, and it's not because of the residue magic that's being leaked into the air by the Ancient King himself. "All the gifts you've had me drop off are... untouched."
"It's been over a month! Almost two! And not a single note or announcement-!"
"They're not home." Warrior stresses. "They-"
The king catches the slip up. His dietic magic flares through the atmosphere, setting all dragons in a 300 miles radius on edge. "Captain, are you aware of their whereabouts?"
"...Your Majesty, I beseech you to sit down first." Warrior growls, feeling his own magic begin to rise to the surface. Little puff of flame escape his mouth despite his best efforts. He knows he would never win in a fire against the King. He is the king for a reason. But that doesn't mean he's still not capable of dealing a lot of collateral damage in the process.
King Link of Kokiri Kingdom growls up a storm, cracking the windows of the throne room before begrudgingly sitting on his throne. "Proceed." 'With caution', need not be mentioned. "Where are they?"
Warrior steels his nerve, setting his palms on fire to lessen the magic build up in his body. "The hospital."
The glass windows explode from the magical flare. All objects lift off of the floor by three feet, Warrior included. And the King has shifted into his full dragon form, taking up the majority of the space in the room due to his massive size and power.
Warrior is dropped non to gently and wastes no time shifting to his full dragon form as well, breathing the hottest wall of fire he can to get the King's attention off of raging towards the nearest hospital. He chars the floor and tapestries on the process, but this is more important.
"You can't go!"
"watch me."
"You aren't supposed to reveal her identify to the public!" Warrior reminds him. "She works undercover for a start and we knew this work could potentially injure them."
"which hospital, captain?" The King hardly looks at him and very seriously begin to gauge which wall the castle needs the least. "i'm going to claim what's mine and never let anything else threaten them."
Warrior curses the instinctual possessiveness of dragons. It never seems to end well once a human gets involved. "You cannot barge in there like a raging bull in a china shop! You'll destroy any trust they have in you. They've just started getting comfortable in your presence."
That seems to calm down the king somewhat. Time growls but manages to contain his magic at once. "....i'd frighten them."
"Exactly." Warrior doesn't allow himself to breathe a sigh of relief just yet. But this is progress.
A very long and pregnant pause settles over the throne room. In a flash of light, the King returns to his half form, growling up a storm and not at all aware of the damage to the castle. "Blast it all!"
Warrior shifts to his human form and brushes off his uniform. He's aware that the people of the castle have been talking about the King's upsets. It wasn't so bad when you had missed the first visit. He was marginally upset, but understanding, expecting a message at some point to explain why you hadn't shown up. Two weeks later, with no correspondence, you missed the second one and King Time had all but sent out a search party for you.
By the third, he was about to go mad with drive to find you.
The kingdom has never seen their cool and collected leader in such a state. Many believe that you (despite not knowing much about you as a whole) have bewitched the King and had one of the most beings in the world in the palm of your hand.
Which... isn't entirely wrong, Warrior admits. But what they didn't know is that you would rather have anything else and are constantly rejecting the King's attempts to court you discreetly.
It hasn't stopped the King, mind you, hence the gifts, but Warrior has never seen a man more head over heels for the most oblivious person.
The King has yet to stop growling but he has calmed himself down to once again look at Warrior in the eye. "...What's their condition? How long have they been there?"
Warrior sighs. That's confidential information. But... he wouldn't have the position he has if he wasn't the best at his job. "They were checked into the emergency room two days after your last meeting with them. Emergency surgery was instantly approved and they have been in the hospital for the past month. I... believe that they should have been approved to return home about a three days ago, should my calculations be correct."
Magic flares up once more as the king's rage turns against Warrior. It is a frightening sight.
"YOU KNEW!?"
Warrior holds a hand up, ignoring how everything fiber in his being is raised by the shackles. "Because I knew that you would want to smother them all the same once I continue this report. If you would allow me to do so."
Magic continues to pulse through the air but the King hasn't returned to his full dragon form, so Warrior has hope. However, the King's growls shake Warrior to his core despite his grade A acting skills. "Proceed."
Warrior gulps. "They... were critically wounded, presumably on the job. I kept this information to this day to buy them time to both return home and heal."
"what wounded them?"
Warrior hesitates.
"captain link."
"Bullets, sir. They had three bullet wounds."
A ferocious roar shakes the shattered windows from their frames, raining the glass to the cracked floor below.
"WHO?!"
"I don't know..." Warrior admits softly. "We'll have to ask them when they return..."
Because you will return, right? To them? To King Link?
You were so full of life and spunk. There was no way that this would have kept you down for long. You were critical, yes, but even Warrior managed to garner that you would have a miraculous recovery. Warrior is willing to bet it was due to the King's residue magic of his claim. It is quite potent.
Time manages to make his way back to his throne and all but collapses into it. His hands are shaking. "....For all that is good and holy...."
Warrior finally swallows the thick cotton in his mouth. It's difficult. "Your majesty... We must allow them to come back on their own terms. I'm sure they will explain everything."
Time shakes his head. "I've... never felt strongly over another before. All those employed under my kingdom and certainly under my castle are mine... but they... I want them here. I want them safe. I want them to... I just want them near me. I want to mark them. It's getting harder and harder to keep myself in check."
"I can see that, sir." Warrior jokes flatly. Now is not the time. "We all can see that. With the exception of them."
"And they don't even accept the help I'm offering to their face!" Time laments. "The last time was infuriating! You heard it! Some upstairs neighbor- Some secret admirer! It's been me! But I can't say anything and I'm forced to keep my affections to myself."
Warrior bites his tongue and lets the King take the needed breather after nearly destroying the castle from the inside out.
"Tell me honestly, Link, how helpless am I?"
"Yes."
A beat passes and Time sighs, giving his long time friend a small smile. "Where I would be without you, Captain?"
"Destroying the one shot you have to genuine romance, your majesty." Warrior smiles gently in return.
Time bite his lip, discreetly pinching the bridge of his nose to wipe the tears. "Do you think they'll keep the schedule? If nothing had happened they would be due to visit in the next three days."
"I'm not sure, your majesty." Warrior says kindly. "But we can always hope and try to look after them from afar."
Those three days couldn't have passed fast enough.
King Time paced through the throne room with his tail lashing out wildly, unable to calm himself down enough to take a sit and be patient about this.
Warrior feared he would forget how to be gentle if the moment came to it. There was still work to be done, and reconstruction hadn't finished on the throne room when the appointment arrived but the workers were shooed away for the time being as the King waited.
Just when the King was about to give up and call it day to scheme his new plan to care for you, the clock struck the late hour.
And you came.

"You're far more powerful than the people of this planet, yet you defend them. Why?"
"Big talk from the guy that was defeated by those very people."
"Hm. Don't make me laugh. The... beasts that managed to delay our reign were far from human..."
Tumblr media
In other words, I decided that the ancient mystic warriors that created the Key to the Prison Dimension are now dragonfied... somewhat successfully-
More info on them below, why not.
Almost a thousand years ago, after the creation of yokai, dragons of the time advocated for peace between humans and yokai. However, the tensions only grew as each attempt ended in failure, by the fault of one side or the other. Eventually, a war was declared, and the powerful beings ended up as targets for many.
The story is typically different depending on the location. Generally, in the East, dragons were more respected by humans than yokai, and the West was the opposite. Draxum's family grew up in the Western yokai cultures, primarily, whereas the Hamato clan originally lived in the East.
One by one, by either human or yokai, dragons were hunted down, often seen as either a threat due to their power, or as foolish for their optimistic desires. When the Krang's full army made it to Earth, only four remained across the globe. Seeing this massive threat to life itself in their home, they gathered together and sacrificed themselves in order to create the Prison Dimension, locking away as many Krang as they possibly could and trusting the stragglers could be taken care of.
With them gone, the Yokai were eventually forced to hide away, with any remaining rebels quickly struck down. Currently, the only remaining proof of the dragons, aside from many mixed stories and historical drawings, is the small, inferior yokai breed (think like Bruce and his gang.)
Tumblr media
Blazure: Having lived in the Eastern side, Blazure was a constant target of human armies. He used to have a small group of fellow dragons he often socialized with in surrounding territories, but they were all taken down by the kingdoms around them eventually. His home no longer safe, Blazure spent most of his remaining life traveling and trying his best to help people of all kinds where he could, without getting killed.
Tumblr media
Pyre: Immediately after the war was declared, Pyre set off with as many Yokai as he could, trying to guide them to safety. While he still wholeheartedly believed they could live in harmony, he also recognized that reasoning with humans was not in his personal skillset, a lesson he had learned the hard way many times. Instead, he took to running with the yokai he could protect, gaining new members at every turn. It's rumored that he was the start of the first Hidden Cities.
Tumblr media
Shilong: Highly revered by the humans of his territory, Shilong was a mighty warrior who, unlike many dragons, had no problem resorting to physically fighting for his beliefs. Many yokai saw him as a threat and even a weakness of their kind due to his desire for peace between them and humans. Because of this, he was often attacked. Even still, he stuck around and defended human villages and cities when he saw it necessary.
Tumblr media
Zuma: Settling down in Japan with a few others, Zuma was highly worshipped by multiple human clans. They were free to walk the streets of these villages unharmed, and often received gems, food, jewelry, and other gifts, which they always made sure to repay in one way or another. Overall, they were well treated and defended from the many yokai who wished to hunt them down.

The point of my story is to beautifully combine the last two franchise parts into one with a number of assumptions. In it, Kai didn't destroy the kung fu temple, Po offered him another way out of the situation - if you think that you were forgotten unfairly, then you can raise "your generation of warriors". In this case, the rivalry between Kai and Oogway will have a more illustrative example (it is impossible to destroy the memory of Oogway, all of China and not only will still remember him lol)
Thus the panda, who has taken responsibility for the supposed enemy, and the yak become masters/teachers in one of the military monasteries in Kai's hometown
However, can you really call a place that has changed almost beyond recognition after FIVE centuries a hometown?..

I caved and decided yk what... dragon Ares au. -> Dragon AU lore-dump
Slightly different story? but its like mostly the same except Ares (and Apollo) were seemingly abandoned eggs found by a squad in the hyrulean army and raised by Artemis(Zelda) and Athena(Impa). Everything dragon-lore-related that I've been (not so subtly) sprinkling is also all the same, including Volga, but the effects of being raised by hylians makes itself clear in Ares and his sister.
Tumblr media
The rest of Hyrule Warriors still plays out somewhat similarly except that yk... Ares is a dragon. I mean who wouldn't want to steal a dragon for your own army?
Also since he was raised by hylians who have 0 idea how dragons actually work, especially fire dragons (because of how sparse they are), he probably has no idea he could have a hylian form like Volga.
Oh. Also he knows how to use a sword.

Chapters: 2/? [19k] Fandom: Warrior Nun (TV) Rating: Explicit
dragon rider au
///
If dragons had only stubborn bones in their body, Beatrice though that Lilith must be somehow related to them. Seeing Jillian, she lurched away from Saros’ foreleg and tried to salute, but the ground was already muddy from the rain and worse thanks to dragon’s blood raining down onto it. She stumbled and snarled when one of the medics reached out and caught her – she’d been swatting at them like gnats intermittently before this - pushing off his chest.
She stood for a moment, peering listlessly around – past Jillian, now, having already quite forgotten about her. Beatrice realised with a pang that she was searching automatically for Shannon, for Halo, for the dragon and the girl who meant everything to her. Beatrice had never really been able to get Lilith to pay attention to the new or strange or interesting dragons in the courtyard when they went to spy on it.
No, her attention had always fixated on Halo and Shannon, the latter stretched out on her dragon’s white-gold foreleg. They had watched a few times as Halo stirred herself awake to pull the blanket back over Shannon’s body when it fell down.
They’d stopped being so furtive recently, now that they had an excuses to go down to the courtyard to visit Saros. Beatrice spent most of her time down there, in fact, or in Saros’ clearing when he wanted peace and privacy and for the Greylings to stop sleeping on his tail even if it was the perfect size and shape for them.
Still, Lilith always gravitated toward that huddle of white dragon and green-coated girl, with a look on her face that Beatrice had invented metaphors for, but never any precise explanation. It was no surprise to her that this Lilith, exhausted and blood-soaked and bruised by a dead girl’s hands, had forgotten herself and remembered Halo again, first.
Realisation seemed to hit her like a mallet, and Beatrice watched her body fold, moving before anyone else realised. She’d wrestled Lilith enough times to know that she could hold her weight for at least a minute before they both started to shake, and they were home now, where she wouldn’t have to for that long.
Saros, too, had lifted one great clawed hand, intending to scoop Lilith in against his body as he had done with Beatrice so many times before.
But neither of them were so quick as Jillian, who was there as suddenly as smoke. Her eye was mostly on Saros as she moved gracefully in front of Lilith, letting the girl fall against her chest. She was small but had always been uncannily strong, her arms wrapping firmly around Lilith’s waist as a small army of junior medics joined her. “Don’t be foolish,” she said softly into the bloody girl’s ear, holding Lilith up with the strange power that always possessed her when she was about her work. “There is nothing left for you to do.”
She paused, lifting her hand awkwardly to brush blood-soaked hair away from Lilith’s forehead, “I am sure you tried everything you could.”
A sob broke through the silence that had fallen over them, and Beatrice could only watch as Lilith buried her face in Jillian’s neck, letting the woman hold her up. Jillian’s strength held where it flagged so often when she needed to move her tower of books from one room to the next.
Beatrice had caught her sweet-talking Lilith into acting as a pack mule more than once. More than twice, too, sauntering ahead while Lilith sweated in her wake.
There, despite her laser focus on Saros, she examined Lilith for a moment, running her hands over the young lieutenant’s arms, her ribs, her jaw, before passing her off to the medics again. But, before that, she spent a moment wiping blood off Lilith’s face with her shirtsleeve. Slowly, with a tenderness that struck Beatrice as…
Well, it struck her.

I dare you to do one with your favorite trope to write (unless you've already done it)
Oh my goodness, this might be longer that usual. XD
And I really had to think about what I wanted to write. I think I'll make this a one-shot. (unless you guys want more anyway) Prepare for this to be as self indulgent as hell. :D
And I'll make it Time while I'm at it.

Content under the cut!
This was the third time this week that you found something like this. You didn't know who was doing this.
A basket, filled to the brim with goodies and trinkets alike, sat properly outside of your window sill. It would be charming if you weren't on the third floor. Someone was climbing up to your balcony and leaving the baskets for you to find.
It was creepy- to a degree. There was never anything malicious about it though. The baskets typically held a flower, a warm meal (or groceries) and some little thing for you to put around your apartment.
You see, you moved to the Kingdom of Kokiri with nothing but a backpack and small child's wagon. Your apartment wasn't even on a nicer side of town. But it hard to be worried about robbers when you're home is bare and empty.
Slowly, that's been changing though. The baskets always had a poem attached, but no name. You secret admirer would give little things from time to time. The baskets are getting more frequent too.
What used to be a small monthly thing, turned weekly then bi weekly- and you're beginning to suspect that they're turning into a daily thing.
Part of you worries that whoever this is, is spending too much on you.
But seeing that the last basket had a new set of dining wear with plates and cups and a some nice utensils to match- you're not inclined to have them stop anytime soon when they're improve your very living conditions as it is. Even if you feel a little guilty.
That being said, this basket had a warm meal already prepared, still steaming in the glass tupperware. There was a small bouquet of roses near the top and a small little box that you opened to see a single slice of chocolate cake.
The card was attached on the inside but it lacked the typical poem. It simple read: "Rest well, Love. You've worked hard today. Dinner's on me. I just want to see you smile in the morning."
You smiles and tucked the card back into its place, bringing the basket back into your apartment.
You have to figure out who this secret admirer of yours is. It has to be someone with access to your floor but it can't be a neighbor. Right? You're on the corner so it can't be anyone to your left. But maybe your neighbor to the right? That's a creepy thought. You hardy ever see him and you don't think he showers throughout the week.
It can't be him. Or at least you're going to deny it.
Maybe it's someone from above? That's more likely. There is this cute guy that you know lives on the floor above you, but you don't know which apartment. It wouldn't be hard to drop the basket secretively onto your balcony from above if that was the case.
The thought rotates in your head as you eat the food. It's delicious. Decadent, even.
Gratitude fills your heart and soul. you have to return the favor somehow after everything this person has provided for you. But how?
You head to bed with a smile on your face and a full stomach. You'll have to start small but you can think of something.
The next morning you head to the castle and walk straight to the throne room.
It was a deal that the king had proposed personally to you. You get to work concern free in his kingdom but you have to report to him every other Tuesday. Seeing as you had nowhere else to go, you didn't think it wise to refuse.
You've grown somewhat close, but with his power and status by his side, you couldn't help but slightly intimidated by him even now.
The king- like most Royals of Kingdoms of Hyrule- was a dragon. Sure, he could take the form of a typical man, but he stayed in his half form more often than not. His age and strength add to his credentials. As the current senior amongst dragons, all you've gathered is that he's lived longer than he appears. The older the dragon, the stronger they are.
King Link is a force to be reckoned with.
However, he's kind and patient with you. He's not all that bad.
You nod and grin at the Captain, who's affectionately called Warrior. Another dragon hidden among the people. You don't know his story, but he's a hard working fellow. He also came to the king in a time of need, looking for asylum and has been working under his employ ever since. He is the king's right hand man.
Warrior smiles back and salutes you softly as you enter. You'll never understand why you've more or less been given free reign of the castle, but with his approval, you feel better to head on in.
You meet the king and curtsy clumsily, still feeling rushed. He's asked you call him Time and he stands from the throne. His face is kind, amused even. A chuckle tumbles out of him as he walks toward you, his marble like tail swinging behind him. "I thought we were passed the formalities, my dear."
You clear your throat. "Were we? I don't recall."
He laughs again. "Come. We have much to discuss."
You nod and follow. He leads you to the back room with a gentle touch the small of your back. It's a familiar routine that you've grown comfortable with.
There's a small rounded table with a pale blue laced table cloth. There's a delicate tea set and it's covered to the brim with snacks and treats alike. You think you see a few of your favorites and your eyes light up at the sight.
King Time notices and he smiles, pleased. "Sit."
You nod and take your usual spot. Time sits across from you and serves you the pieces that you eyes earlier. You almost feel bad. You're still full from the night before.
Time notices. "Something wrong, dear?"
"No." You shake your head, afraid of insulting him. "Someone gave me dinner last night and I'm still a bit full from it."
Time seemed to be shocked by the tidbit. "Really?... Was it good?"
"It was delicious!" You can't help but gush. "I would normally cook for myself but they send food from time to time and it was still warm so I couldn't resist."
His smile turns a little tight. "Is that so? I'm glad that you were fed adequately then.... May I ask who?"
You falter, the smile on your face turning more soft and shy. "Um... I think it was my neighbor..."
"...You don't know who it is?"
You blush and look down onto the table, playing with the treats on your plate. "I know that I should be more cautious. But they've only ever left it on my balcony... It's a secret admirer so to speak. They've given me trinkets and flowers and food. It seems as if they've slowly been furnishing my house for me. I don't know... I've been trying to think about who it may be, but I'm coming up short. Regardless, enough about my lack of love life-"
Time abruptly puts his hand under the table but you catch the reason why before he can hide it.
He's bent the fork in half with his hand, seemingly without realizing it. He smiles brightly, as if nothing happened and the thought gets put on the back burner for now. "Right... Well, you can always ask for my assistance, Darling."
You shake your head with a small smile. "Thank you, but I'm here to report my work. Let's get to business then."
Time clenches his jaw slightly but nods in agreement. "Right. I believe last time you mentioned that you were following a trail of some suspicious individuals on the property of the farm lands for relief efforts. Did that bloom into anything substantial?"
You pull out a manila folder with a smirk and hand it to the king. "Did it ever."
The time passes before you know it. Little by little, as you give your report, if drifts away and you're talking about your lives as much as you can before you leave.
Warrior comes in, informing Time of another meeting has to attend. He looks apologetic.
The king winces but you're quick to stand up, mid panic. "I'm sorry. I've overstayed my welcome."
"Impossible." Time blurts, standing abruptly as well. He reach out as if to stop you and moves around the table as if to block your path. His tail curls around your ankle, stopping your in your tracks. It's gentle but firm. Even if his grip is painless, you can already tell that you wouldn't be able to escape on your own.
You freeze and after a beat he lets you go. Time gulps and stands, seemingly more aware of what he was doing. His grip falls away and he takes a step back. "R-right... I won't keep you from your work much longer then."
You can't help but blush. He's always been fine with putting a hand on your shoulder or your back... but the tail is one of the most sensitive parts of a dragon. And he just grabbed you with it. For some reason, you find yourself blushing.
You nod dumbly, as if your schedule is jammed packed like his. Your heart is pounding. You follow Warrior out of the room as he leads you back to the main gate of the castle.
"Sorry." Warrior says quietly. "I didn't mean to interrupt."
"Nonono-" You're still shaken by the phantom feelings of the scales around you. Even if it was just a brush, there was a power there. You don't know why you're so out of whack suddenly. The act was more intimate than you were able to admit. "If you didn't say anything, I would have kept going. Honestly, I swear he's just humoring most of the time."
"This is the only time we get him to actually take a break." Warrior tells you. "He'd work himself t the bone if it weren't for you. It's not like he can't afford it. He's two years ahead of his work. By all means, keep him there longer."
You flush and look away, walking out of the gate. "Oh please, he'll get sick of me before we'd know it."
Warrior is quick to bite his tongue, biting back the instant retort that no doubt sat on his tongue. He takes a breath and shakes his head.
"...He likes you." Warrior looks pained. Like there's something there that he wants to say but can't. You don't see it. "Would you like me to walk you home? If I recall you live far enough away-"
"Not enough to cause concern, Captain." You smile and pat his shoulder. "But thank you."
"His Majesty wouldn't like it if anything happened to you." Warrior tries to push it a little bit.
You shake you head. "And take more of your time away? You work just as hard, if not harder, than the entirety of the castle staff. I think only the King works harder than you."
He presses his lips into a thin line. His own scales poke from under his skin. Something is riling him up but you don't know what. You've never seen his dragon form or even his half. He seems to hide it more often than not. You would never know he was a dragon if the King hadn't said anything earlier.
Warrior sighs and runs his hands through his hair. "Very well... Just... be safe, yeah? I don't think the goddesses themselves would be able to calm the king should things go wrong."
"Like what?" You snort. "I end up in the hospital? I'll be fine. No worries."
You wink for good measure and head home, happy, fulfilled and ready to take on the rest of the week.
You miss the next three visits.
