Beyond Calculation
Tumblr media
During his time in the science club, Senku had stocked the closet with snacks for the long hours he spent after school.
A strawberry-flavored Pocky stick dangled from his mouth as he tightened the bolt on one of his latest rockets. It was about the size of a small person and still in its early stages, but Senku was confident this one would make it into orbit. It had to. When it did, it would be a monumental breakthrough.
Still, he wasn’t so absorbed in his work that he didn’t sense the eyes on him. "I know you're there, Selene," he said without looking up, his voice casual. "It's, like, ten billion percent obvious."
Selene smiled softly, leaning against the doorframe with her arms loosely crossed. She hadn’t expected to remain unnoticed for long—Senku had an uncanny ability to sense everything around him. Soft waves of silver-white hair cascaded around her olive complexion, catching the last light of the setting sun through the window.
“I really need to work on my sneaking,” she teased as she stepped into the room, her voice light but touched with genuine amusement. Her gaze shifted from the half-constructed rocket to Senku, her deep violet eyes gleaming with curiosity. “Another rocket, huh? Still aiming for the stars, I see."
Senku’s nimble fingers worked the nut into place as he responded, his tone as casual as hers. "Not the stars this time. The moon." He paused for effect, a hint of excitement creeping into his voice. "I think I finally nailed the fuel-oxidizer ratio. By my calculations, this rocket should have enough thrust to make it."
Finally looking up, his sharp red eyes met hers. For a moment, the usual calm in his gaze gave way to something brighter, a glimmer of excitement. "How's that for aiming?"
Selene raised an eyebrow, her playful curiosity shifting to genuine intrigue. "The moon, huh?" she repeated softly, her admiration clear. She stepped closer, examining the rocket with renewed interest. Something stirred within her, a connection she always felt to the celestial body they were talking about.
"You always aim higher than everyone else, don't you?" she teased, though her smile was warm, reflecting his excitement. There was something she admired deeply about that—the way Senku always faced the impossible with unwavering confidence.
“The moon is... a pretty big leap,” she mused thoughtfully. "But if anyone can make it happen, it's you." The words weren’t flattery. She had seen the hours he poured into his work, the meticulous calculations, the relentless pursuit of progress. If Senku believed he could reach the moon, Selene knew he would.
Her gaze drifted toward the window, where the sky had begun to darken into twilight. The moon hadn’t risen yet, but Selene could feel its presence, as if it were always watching over her. It wasn’t just a celestial body to her—it was a part of her very essence. The thought of Senku sending something there, something he had created, stirred something deep within her.
"Sounds like you'll need a good astronomer when this rocket takes off," Selene said, her violet eyes locking with his, a playful but sincere offer hidden beneath her words. “I could give you some pointers about my territory up there.”
She leaned back, crossing her arms as if already imagining herself standing on the surface of the moon. "Besides, someone’s got to make sure you don’t blow yourself up on the way, right?"
Senku twisted the final nut into place before turning his full attention to her. His gaze followed hers to the window, where the night was beginning to settle, casting long shadows across the room. A low chuckle escaped his lips at her suggestion.
"Not so fast, star girl," he said, smirking as he turned back to her. "This thing still needs to pass a flight test. Don’t start claiming real estate on the moon just yet."
His expression grew smug as he added, "Though I suppose having a cute astronomer around might be useful."
Selene felt the heat rise to her cheeks but quickly masked it with a playful scoff. "Cute astronomer, huh? Careful, Senku, your compliments are almost as rare as your breaks," she teased, tilting her head with a smirk of her own.
The nickname "star girl" was one he had given her when they first met in the science club. It stuck, and over time, she’d come to appreciate the way he said it, even if he pretended it was just another casual remark.
Stepping closer to the rocket, Selene let her fingers brush the cool, smooth surface of the metal, tracing it gently. "You know," she began, glancing at him from the corner of her eye, "with this and your calculations, you’re not far from doing something extraordinary." There was a spark of excitement in her voice, mirroring the energy she had seen in Senku’s eyes just moments ago.
She stepped back, meeting his gaze once more, her smile softening as her tone grew more serious. "But seriously, if you pull this off, it’ll be your first big leap, Senku. One that’ll bring you closer to everything you’ve ever wanted."
Her voice lowered, carrying a weight of admiration that filled the space between them. She leaned against the workbench, crossing her arms again. "Just don’t forget the people cheering for you when you’re up there," she added with a wink, her lightheartedness slipping back in. "Because no matter how many calculations you run, I’ll still be here, making sure you don’t fly too close to the sun."
The smirk on Senku’s face softened slightly as he watched her fingers trail over the rocket, the delicate movements captivating him for a moment. His gaze followed her hand before shifting to her face, catching the flicker of excitement in her violet eyes. That same spark of determination inside him surged in response.
"Yeah, I know," he said quietly, his voice lower than usual. "And I don’t intend to forget."
He stepped away from the workbench, closing the small distance between them to lean against the bench beside her, their shoulders almost touching. The quiet closeness between them spoke volumes, even without words.
Selene's breath hitched slightly as she felt Senku’s presence closer than before, his warmth radiating next to her. Despite his usual calm, unshaken demeanor, there were moments—rare, fleeting moments—where Senku let the world slow down just enough for them to exist in the same space without words filling the air.
She glanced at him from the corner of her eye, catching the unusual softness in his expression. There was something unspoken between them, something that neither science nor calculations could fully explain. It wasn’t often they found themselves so close without bantering or debating, and Selene could feel her pulse quicken in the stillness of the moment.
“You’d better not forget,” she said softly, her voice teasing but gentle, like a breeze under a moonlit sky. She nudged his shoulder lightly with her own, the brief contact sending a spark through her. “Because I’m not going anywhere.”
In the quiet of the room, with their shoulders brushing in a moment of vulnerability, Senku felt surprisingly at ease. For once, there was a reprieve from the usual chaos, from their back-and-forth exchanges. He glanced at her, meeting her gaze, and found himself noticing details he often took for granted—her soft, silvery hair, reminiscent of the night sky, and her deep violet eyes, reflecting the soft glow of the desk lights.
He let out a low 'tch,' breaking the silence as he looked away. “You make it sound like I’d forget you that easily."
Selene’s heart skipped a beat at his words, the quiet tension between them suddenly charged with a new energy. She turned her head slightly, her eyes locking onto his, the subtle shift in his tone making something flutter inside her. His usual sharpness was still there, but this time, it was softened by something warmer, something unspoken.
A small smile tugged at her lips, though she tried to play it off. “Well, you’re a guy with, like, ten billion things going on in that genius brain of yours. I figured I’d need to remind you once in a while,” she teased, though her voice held an undeniable softness.
For a moment, she allowed herself to stay in that space, where they were close enough to feel the weight of their shared silence, the gravity of the moment pulling them nearer. She didn’t need to be a scientist to know there was something between them—something beyond calculations and the stars, something that tethered them together in ways neither of them had fully acknowledged.
She let out a quiet breath, her smile lingering as she leaned in just enough for their shoulders to press more firmly together. “But it’s nice to hear I’m not so easy to forget,” she murmured, her voice softer than before, the words carrying more weight than she let on.
Her violet eyes searched his again, looking for any flicker of what he might be thinking, hoping that maybe—just maybe—Senku felt it too.
Their shoulders pressed closer, the warmth of his arm against hers sending a shiver through him. Senku tried to ignore the unfamiliar fluttering in his chest, the way his breath caught in his throat when he met her gaze again. Something in her voice, in the way she looked at him, sent his heart into a strange, unfamiliar rhythm.
What the hell is this?
He turned fully, shifting his body toward her until their faces were only inches apart. Their breaths mingled, and for a fleeting moment, the rocket, the science—everything—faded away, leaving only her. “I could never forget you, star girl,” he murmured, his voice quieter than usual, as if the words carried more weight than he intended.
His sharp red eyes softened in the proximity, reflecting the dim glow of the room’s lights. For a second, it wasn’t about science or stars or even the grand ambitions they both carried. It was about this moment, about how she had somehow slipped past all his barriers without him even realizing it.
The nickname "star girl" left his lips with a warmth that hadn’t been there before. It wasn’t just an offhand remark anymore—it meant something deeper now. His heart pounded in his chest, its rhythm foreign and unsteady, so unlike the usual logic and calculations that filled his mind.
Selene’s breath hitched at their closeness, her violet eyes widening slightly as her own heart raced. She searched his gaze, caught off guard by the intensity of his stare. There was a vulnerability in his eyes that she had rarely, if ever, seen before. Her pulse thrummed in her throat, unsure of what to say, unsure of what his words truly meant.
“Senku...” she whispered, her voice barely audible. Her gaze flickered to his lips for a brief second before returning to his eyes. Everything about this moment felt both new and strangely familiar, as if they had always been heading toward this point without realizing it.
The air between them was thick with unspoken words, the tension that neither had acknowledged until now finally surfacing. Selene wanted to say something, to tease him like she always did, but the words seemed caught in her throat, tangled with the realization that maybe, just maybe, this was more than she ever thought it could be.
Her hand, almost instinctively, brushed lightly against his, and in that moment, everything seemed to hang in the balance, waiting for whatever came next.
The soft touch of her fingertips against his skin sent a jolt through him—sharp and electric. Time seemed to slow as he stared into her eyes, his mind reeling from the implications of his own words. For the first time in his life, Senku felt completely out of his element, adrift in emotions that logic couldn’t explain. His grip tightened around the workbench, the cool metal beneath his palm doing little to ground him.
He opened his mouth to speak, but his throat went dry. The carefully crafted thoughts that usually flowed so easily were suddenly useless. He swallowed, the sound unnaturally loud in the quiet room.
Selene watched him, her heart pounding as she noticed the shift in his expression. It wasn’t often that she saw Senku Ishigami—the unflappable genius—at a loss for words. But here, in this vulnerable moment, it was as if his usual confidence had faltered, and in that hesitation, she saw something deeper, something he had never shown her before.
“S-Senku,” she whispered again, her voice barely a breath as she unconsciously leaned in closer, closing the small distance between them. The heat between them was palpable now, her fingertips still lightly brushing against his hand. Her pulse quickened, and the air between them thickened with everything left unsaid.
Selene was close enough to see the subtle rise and fall of his chest, close enough to notice the flecks of light reflected in his sharp red eyes. For the first time in a long while, she found herself unsure of what would happen next. The world outside seemed to blur—the science club, the rocket, even the stars faded into the background. All that remained was this moment, hanging precariously between them.
She let out a small, shaky breath, her eyes searching his face for any sign of what he might do next. “You don’t have to say anything,” she whispered, her voice soft but steady. The words were meant to reassure him. "Just... don’t pull away."
It was a confession in its own way, one that left her feeling exposed, vulnerable. But right then, she didn’t care. All that mattered was the space between them and the unspoken understanding that something between them had shifted.
Senku’s heart raced in his chest, pounding faster than he was used to. His mind spun, flooded with a whirlwind of logic, data, and calculations. But none of it made sense—none of it could explain what was happening, what had sent his brain into this chaos.
Then she spoke, her voice soft but firm, both a request and a command: Don’t pull away.
"I wouldn’t even if I could," he mumbled, his voice low, the words barely more than a whisper. His hand shifted beneath hers, and before he knew it, his fingers had intertwined with hers, locking them together in a gesture that felt oddly intimate.
Selene’s breath hitched the moment their fingers connected. The warmth of his touch sent a jolt through her, one that seemed to settle deep in her chest. For a moment, she forgot how to breathe, the world narrowing down to the simple, profound connection of their hands. The genius, the scientist—the boy who always had the answers—now stood inches from her, vulnerable in a way she had never seen before.
Her violet eyes softened, surprise and tenderness flooding her as she watched him, her heart racing just as fast as his. It wasn’t what she had expected, and yet somehow, it felt like the most natural thing in the world.
She tightened her grip on his hand, as if to reassure him—or maybe herself—that this moment was real. "Good," she whispered, her voice so quiet it was almost a breath. The faintest smile tugged at the corners of her lips, a spark of something new flickering between them—something she had only half-admitted to herself until now.
The closeness, the intertwining of their fingers, the quiet breaths between them—all of it made Senku's heart pound even faster than before. He could feel her pulse through her skin, rapid and erratic, the rhythm mingling with his own in the stillness of the room.
"You’re shaking," Senku said softly, his voice low and even. He reached up with his free hand, lightly touching her cheek, his fingers tracing the contours of her face before gently brushing a strand of silver hair behind her ear.
Selene froze at his touch, her heart stumbling in her chest. The warmth of his fingers against her cheek, the tenderness in his gesture—it was so unlike the Senku she knew. The scientist, always so logical and composed, now touched her with a kind of softness that made her feel both grounded and weightless all at once.
Her violet eyes fluttered open, locking onto his, her breath caught in her throat as his hand lingered near her ear, brushing aside the silvery strands of hair that had fallen across her face. The tenderness in his voice, the quiet acknowledgment of her trembling, sent a wave of emotion through her that she wasn’t entirely prepared for.
“I guess even I’m not immune to this,” she whispered, her voice barely steady, her lips curving into a faint smile. The vulnerability she felt in that moment was almost overwhelming, but the warmth of his touch grounded her, made her feel... safe.
Leaning into his hand, Selene closed her eyes for just a moment, savoring the feeling of his skin against hers. There was something comforting in his touch, a quiet understanding that didn’t need words. For all his sharp edges and genius wit, Senku had a way of making her feel like she belonged—like she was important in his world of calculations and impossible dreams.
“You always know how to keep me steady,” she added, her voice quieter now, as if afraid to break the delicate moment between them. Her fingers squeezed his hand, her heart still racing, but no longer from uncertainty. It was something more now, something that felt like trust, maybe even something deeper.
Her eyes fluttered open again, meeting his gaze, and for the first time, she allowed herself to fully embrace the closeness between them. "What about you?" she asked softly, her voice carrying affection and curiosity. "Are you... okay with this?"
His touch lingered on her cheek, his fingers tracing the line of her jaw, his expression softening with each word she spoke. The feel of her skin under his fingertips, the sound of her shaky breath, the warmth of her presence—it was all new to him, uncharted territory. For once, Senku found himself without a plan, without calculations to rely on.
He took his time responding, his fingers still gently exploring the contour of her face, as if memorizing every detail. "Surprisingly... yes," he said at last, his voice quieter, softer than usual.
Selene’s breath caught again at his words, her heart fluttering at the rare softness in his tone. It was a side of Senku she rarely saw—vulnerable and open. The warmth of his touch lingered on her skin, each gentle stroke of his fingers sending ripples of emotion through her, making her chest feel both light and heavy all at once.
She had always admired him for his unshakable resolve, for the way his mind seemed to work ten steps ahead of everyone else. But here, in this moment, with his hand tracing the lines of her face, Senku wasn’t thinking about the future. He was here, with her, in the present. And that alone made her feel something deeper than anything she had ever expected.
A small, relieved smile tugged at the corner of Selene’s lips. “Good,” she whispered, her voice barely audible. “Because I... I don’t think I could handle it if you weren’t.”
Her words hung in the air, heavier than she intended, but she didn’t regret them. There was something freeing about finally saying what she had held inside for so long. The connection between them, whatever it was, had been growing quietly—subtly—within the spaces between their conversations, shared moments in the science club, and long nights spent talking about the stars.
Her free hand lifted slowly, mirroring his movements as her fingertips gently brushed against his face, tracing the line of his jaw just as he had done to her. “You’re... not as steady as you think,” she teased, her voice affectionate, her touch lingering as her eyes met his. "But that’s okay. I don’t mind catching you when you fall."
Senku chuckled at her words, the sound low and deep. Her touch on his face sent a shiver through him, sensations both strange and comforting. He didn’t pull away, didn’t try to compose himself. Instead, he let her see him—the real him—in all his confused, illogical vulnerability.
His fingers grazed over her ear, along her jaw, and down the side of her neck, tracing a path that felt as natural as breathing. "You’d probably catch me before I even realize I’m falling," he said jokingly, though there was a hint of truth in his words.
Selene’s smile widened, a soft laugh escaping her lips. The warmth of his touch, the way his fingers traced her skin with such gentleness, made her heart race. In this moment, time seemed to stop. The world outside their little bubble faded into nothingness. It was just them, wrapped in the quiet vulnerability that hung in the air between them.
“You’re not wrong,” she teased back, her voice soft but full of affection. “I’ve been watching out for you longer than you know.” Her hand still rested against his face, her thumb brushing lightly along his cheek. For all his genius, for all the ways Senku saw the world through the lens of logic and science, he had a way of making her feel seen in a way no one else could.
Her violet eyes softened as she gazed at him, taking in the rare, unguarded expression on his face. The fact that he was letting her in—showing her this side of himself—made her feel like maybe, just maybe, she was as important to him as he was to her.
“Don’t worry,” she whispered, her voice barely above a breath. “I’ve got you.”
The words weren’t just a promise—they were the truth. No matter what challenges lay ahead, no matter how high he aimed or how far he reached, she would be there, by his side. That was something she was certain of, even when everything else in the world seemed uncertain.
Senku’s chest tightened at her words, an unfamiliar emotion welling up in his heart. It was more than just affection, more than just trust—it was a deep, profound belief in each other that went beyond logic or reason.
He leaned into her touch, his gaze meeting hers, the vulnerability in his eyes replaced by something deeper, infinitely more powerful. "I know you do," he murmured, his voice low and rough, a rare crack in his usual composure.
His hand moved gently from her jaw, his fingertips tracing the line of her collarbone with a tenderness he rarely allowed himself to show. There was something raw in the way he touched her, a silent acknowledgment of everything that had been left unsaid between them.
“And I’ve got you,” he added softly, his voice steadier now, his gaze locking with hers. The words were simple, but the weight behind them made her heart skip a beat. It was a promise, one that didn’t need to be wrapped in grand gestures or scientific explanations. It was just them, here, together.
Selene’s breath slowed as the words sank in, her pulse steadying with the warmth of his hand against her. The world outside seemed to disappear as they stood there, close enough to feel each other’s presence in the quiet room. No more calculations, no more rockets—just this moment, hanging delicately between them.
Without thinking, she stepped closer, closing the distance between them until her forehead gently rested against his shoulder. Her arms slid around his waist, drawing him into a soft, quiet embrace. Senku hesitated for a brief second, the unfamiliar closeness catching him off guard, but then he relaxed into her touch, his arms wrapping around her in return.
They stood like that, holding each other in the stillness, the gentle rhythm of their breathing syncing as the tension between them melted away. It wasn’t a grand gesture, but it didn’t need to be. The quiet intimacy of the moment said everything they hadn’t been able to put into words.
For the first time in what felt like forever, Senku allowed himself to just be—to exist in this moment without needing to think ahead, to calculate. Here, in Selene’s arms, he found a kind of peace that no experiment or achievement could provide. She grounded him in a way that nothing else could, and in this simple act of holding her, he realized that some things didn’t need to be solved—they just were.

Mission AU: During The Ceremony
A/N: I just decided to post my fanfics also here on Tumblr. But, all of these are cross-posted to my AO3 account too! Fanfic links: AO3 | FF.net
Other Links: Dr. Stone Masterlist
A SenHaku AU where Kohaku has to get married to someone for a mission and Senku watches. (Also an AU, where everyone has special abilities) SenHaku Week 2021 Day 1: Wedding
Tumblr media
There were many words to describe Kohaku.
They'd look at her as a strong gorilla with excellent eyesight. Others would think of her as a lioness that will pounce on you if needed. But today, the perfect way to describe her was a fairy queen mingling with mortals.
Kohaku walked down the aisle with a bouquet of orchids on hand. She decided to wear a white dress rather than the traditional puffy ones. The blonde complained that a gown would hinder her movements for this occasion.
Senku attempted to hide a chuckle as she saw her coming. Of course, she needed to be able to move with ease in case shit hits the fan. They weren't there to watch Kohaku get hitched. They were there to proceed with the mission.
The plan was for their most lethal member to catch the attention of the prime minister's son. The two gets married then they'll have an insider without much effort. Phase one was already a success.
They only need to make sure phase two will end smoothly.
"If anyone objects to this marriage, speak now or forever hold your peace!" The priest exclaimed.
"Senku-chan, wouldn't you want to sweep Kohaku-chan off her feet?" Gen telepathically said, almost in a sing-song voice.
Everyone who was part of the mission heard it. Kohaku sent a glare to the best man, daring him to say another word about her predicament. Ukyo warily glanced at Senku as he waited for a denial. The others didn't dare to react to it as they tried to focus on the current situation.
"Letting emotions influence our mission will ten billion percent cause us nothing but trouble," Senku replied through the telepathic link.
Everyone would have openly sighed if they didn't have to keep their act. It was just so natural. There wasn't a surprise there even one bit.
"Heh, but I wouldn't mind marrying the lioness in his stead."
The scientist could have sworn Kohaku stuttered with her vows.

😩😮‍💨 😩😮‍💨 Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. 😩😮‍💨.
***
Imagine,
Silly boys (lovingly), who never thought in a million years, that they’d feel something they never knew they could feel, something called love, who unintentionally fell for you, bit by bit.
Silly boys, who began to crave your laughter, your smiles, your little gestures, your veiny hands, wrapped around their throat-
Silly boys, who refused to accept their feelings, mind reeling in confusion, why did they feel like this?…, who took forever to realise they’ve fallen, and fallen hard.
Silly boys, who bottle up their feelings, letting it all out one fine night, when they’re on the verge of passing out, drunk, in the backseat of your car.
Silly boys, who whimper and moan about how much they adore you, while you lovingly, although drunkenly, reciprocate their feelings, by crashing your lips down on theirs, hands roaming all over their warm, shivering body.
Silly boys, who easily break in your arms, and being the good little things they are, force themselves to not thrash around, as you push them into a mating press, folding them in half.
Silly boys, who are now drunk on the feeling of your cock/strap, buried deep inside their hole, rearranging their insides.
Silly boys, who babble out incoherent noises, eyes rolled to the top of their head, tongue lolling out, saliva dripping from the sides of their mouth.
Silly boys, who wait for your permission to release, wailing and clawing at your back as they come undone along with you, then pass out, while you ride out your high.
Silly boys, who wake up the next morning, feeling oddly refreshed, until they realise they’re in your bed, hands and feet entangled with yours, still naked.
Silly boys, who ghost you for a few days, too embarrassed about that one night, not knowing how they would face you ever again.
Silly lovesick boys, who come knocking at your door at 11 in the night, all hot and bothered, not a week later, whimpering and begging about how they need you, need your cock/strap buried deep inside them again, because none of their toys hit the perfect spot like you did. Please please please please.
Silly lovesick boys, who can’t create sensible sentences, only muttering out broken thank yous, over and over again, as you give them what they want need, driving them over the edge, as they give in to your guidance.
Silly lovesick boys, who you now have wrapped around your finger, both figuratively and literally. But you wouldn’t hurt them, or take advantage of them when they’re in this state, would you?
They trust you, worship you, with their body, mind and soul.
***
— I particularly had Hualian in mind, like a buy one get one free but other pretty boys who go with this, in my opinion, are BACHIRA, Reo, Nagi, Chigiri, Rin (idk why, he just does), SANZU, Baji, Mikey, Stanley, Ukyo, Yuno, William, Kafka, Blade, Dan Heng, Jiyan, Scar (hmmmm), and somewhere in the corner of my mind, Shidou (😩😮‍💨). + your favs of course💅✨

LOYALTY BUILT FROM LOVE
"I will always be by your side."
pairing: senku ishigami x fem!reader
words:5.4k
genre/s: fluff, mystery, storytelling in the third perspective (s1, s2)
warning/s: she/her, swearing, ambiguous/not direct ending
synopsis: there is always someone next to senku, all the time.
masterlist ; times senku talked about you (part 2)
a/n: i've been wanting to do something similar to my bakugo fanfic, "Indebted to you" for a while now, and i finally thought of one.
also woah, i posted... revolutionary!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
ever since senku arrived at the newfound kingdom of science, he's always had someone next to him
that someone is you
you are never too far from senku
and senku is never too far away from you
when kohaku met senku under that log, that's when she saw you the first time
at first she didn't question it, thinking that you might've just not been there when she saw the fight, but after observing you and senku
she then changed her mind and thought it was strange that she didn't see you
the way the two of you worked together was mesmerizing; efficiently done in silence
she could see that the two of you have some sort of special relationship with that silent communication
you reminded her of her sister; almost princess like with the way you carry your knowledge and demeanor
that impression quickly changed when you flipped ginro and kinro to the ground when they tried to attack senku
it happened so fast that you were just a blur in the corner of her eye! you were faster than her and you took them both out with a single hand
at that moment she knew not to cross senku
she wasn't even sure if she could defeat you
she almost pities the long-haired man
when gen appeared, you didn't recognize him, but he had recognized you
of course he did
everyone in japan knows who you are and anyone who doesn't is living under a rock
he was confused on why a person of your caliber is acting like a servant
maybe for survival, but he's sure that you'd be able to survive on your own
but then he started observing the two of you and this master-servant relationship seemed normal on both end
it made him curious on just what exactly your relationship with senku is
his curiosity skyrocketed after he overheard a conversation between you and senku
gen stood at the bottom of the hut after you and senku climbed up. he was lucky enough that you didn't spot him (well, that's what he thinks).
"so," senku spoke. "do you know him?" then asked. there was a pause. gen thinks you might've gave a non-verbal answer. senku chuckles. "of course, i didn't think you would. he's just some tv show mentalist."
gen rolled his eyes at that, but agrees with what senku said. it would be very shocking to hear that you know of him. "so he's a psychologist?" the first words he heard from you.
"yeah," answered senku. "he wrote these magazines that some of the club talked about some times. it would have questions like "if you could only save one, would you rather save your mother or your partner?" how illogical is that?" he scoffs.
this time you chuckled at him. "but senku," you interrupted. "you do understand just how useful he is, right?" gen felt a chill run up his spine as his whole body tensed up. your light tone immediately changed to a more penetrating one. it almost feels like you're reminding senku of your authority.
"yeah, yeah, i know, and don't use that tone on me. you know that shit don't work," senku replies, dismissing your tone like it was nothing! and to which you giggled at in a playful manner. "so, your assessment of him?" he then asked.
"gen is like a stray cat; give him something to eat and he'll stay," you answered with smooth confidence. "sooner or later he'll ask you for something in exchange for his loyalty." you let out a chuckle. "isn't that right, gen?"
he quickly walked away and didn't look back
maybe you were the one to plant the seed in him
maybe it was senku with his fast-paced bringing back the modern world (and his charisma)
or maybe it was the both of you
but whatever it was, in the end you were right
gen became an important member of the the kingdom of science
although he still wants answers about the two of you
there's two stories that ruri likes out of all hundred tales
she loves sharing them the most
after all, it's the only two love stories from it
number ninety-eight: loyalty built from love there was once a girl who had everything everything but happiness the people around her always worshipped her like a god it made her feel lonely and dull but then she met a boy a boy who knew of everything everything except who she is she talked to him... she argued against him... she laughed alongside him she made him smile.... they were friends they were inseparable but then she felt love he didn't like love she was afraid he became distant she sought after him he stopped seeing her she went to him it was silent then she talked... then he shouted... then they confessed they were in love her love shined through the things she did for him loyalty knows no bounds when you're in love
number ninety-nine: learning to love there was once a boy who found everything interesting everything except love he thought it was illogical and he didn't want to feel it but then he met a girl a girl who can do everything everything except how to feel he talked to her... he fought her... he laughed with her... he smiled at her they were friends they were inseparable he felt different with her he didn't know what it was it scared him he tried to push her away she stayed he ignored her she confronted him it was silent then she spoke... then he screamed... then they confessed they were in love his love was seen from the way he treated her love wasn't so illogical than he thought he did
there was no names mentioned in the two love stories
ruri wished the founder of the village had included the names
maybe it did but was forgotten through time
kohaku didn't really care about her own romances
but if it's other's?
then that's when she's interested
she could never forget the scene she saw between you and senku after the grad bout ended
the placed turned quiet as the realization seeped in. the winner of the grand bout is senku which means... "the new village chief and the husband of the priestess is the winner of the grand bout, senku!"
"well, this is a pain in the ass," senku says as he stuck his pinky into his ear. "so i just have to marry ruri and the whole village is mine, right?" he approached ruri. "i'll do it then."
from the corner of kohaku's eye, she saw you hurriedly walk away with a tightly closed fist. you're actually walking away without senku. that's the first time she ever saw you go away from senku.
she turned back to senku who's staring at your retreating figure. he turned his head back and demanded, "wine! bring me wine!" then after that, it all happened so quickly. senku divorced her sister, took the wine, and ran back to the kingdom of science, dragging kaseki with him.
once they arrived, senku left towards the laboratory where you were, gathering the materials to make the sulfa drug. kohaku watched as you ignored senku. he reached up and flicked your forehead. the two of you talked, rather fast paced with how fast the two of you exchanged words.
senku gently reached out for you hand, bringing it up to his lay on his cheek. he turned his head and kissed your palm.
kohaku's eyes widen in shock.
it looked like you laughed and tackled him into a hug that almost caused you both to fall. you stepped back as you brought your hands up to cup his face. you spoke a few words, then brought your face down to his forehead, giving it a gentle yet light kiss.
kohaku's jaw slacked in shock.
she remembered being flustered, shocked, and confused from the sudden public display of affection the two of you showed
it changed the way she sees the two of you
she always thought that you were like a bodyguard for senku, but also good friends
but if that's how you two always act when you think no one's watching?
maybe the two of you aren't just friends
at first, homura went around spreading the fire to the village
then all she saw was black the next
when hyoga revealed that he was just a distraction, the fire wasn't as big as he planned it to be
in fact, he never planned for homura to be carried in bridal style by someone he didn't expect
did senku revive you? why would he revive you? wait, how did he even find you? your place is no where near where they are right now
it doesn't make any sense
but for now, he'll retreat
he'll surely be beaten by you in mere minutes
chrome admires you and senku, everyone could see that
senku taught him many things about being a sciencer and you'd teach him "life skills"
the two of you work so well together
there are times wherein he watches you and senku work in the lab and it would always leave him in awe
how can the two of you work that well and that fast without any talking?!
are you also a science user like him?
but senku said you weren't so that made him slightly confused
it became even more confusing when he saw you beat kohaku in a spar for the grand bout
just who are you?
and why are you so good at everything?
it reminds him of something but he can't remember what exactly
then he saw something between you and senku that he can't help but make assumptions from
senku turned away from the group after experimenting with the bamboo filaments. "damn it," he cursed out. "bamboo filaments are just fundamentally too weak for vacuum tubes." your shoulders dropped as you looked at senku in worry.
"i don't get science, but bamboo is too weak, is that right?" kohaku spoke up.
"what do we need?" chrome asked with desperation. "if we need something tougher, i'll go find it!"
"no..." senku turned around, showing his pained expression. "there's nothing better in this age."
kohaku and chrome gathered the baskets of rocks that he collected and placed them out in the open for anyone to look through. from the news that senku needed something other than bamboo, the villagers who were still awake gathered at the kingdom of science to help.
chrome turned to call for senku, but he hesitated.
you stood next to senku and gently placed a hand on his shoulder. he turned to you with eyes that chrome can't explain as he placed his hand on top of yours. you brought your other hand and took hold of his hand that was on top of your other one. you guided his hand to the side of your lips and placed a kiss on his palm.
chrome's bulged out of his sockets in shock. his face feeling a bit flustered.
you slowly went down his arm, leaving a trail of kisses. you stopped at his inner elbow and turned to his face. chrome thought you were going to kiss senku, but instead you left a peck on his cheek. you spoke a few words to him and he let out a small smile.
chrome knows that smile
it's the smile that he only gives to you
he never understood why that smile felt different from all the other smiles and smirks senku gives
but from what he just witnessed
maybe the two of you hold a special bond that he should've noticed sooner
it was senku's birthday
the entire village gathered at the kingdom of science
ruri stared at you from afar
you watched as senku was guided towards the newly built watch tower (observatory)
it was the first time she'd seen you not go after senku
after all, the two of you were inseparable
it reminds her about the two love stories from the hundred tales
you started walking away from her line of vision. ruri watched as you walked towards the watch tower as the main group of the kingdom of science left. she could see senku climbing down as well, then approached you. you immediately took his hand in yours and placed the other on his cheek. you spoke a few words then leaned down, giving him a tender yet short kiss on the lips.
on the lips.
on the lips.
AND HE DIDN'T PUSH YOU AWAY!111!1!!!
ruri doesn't remember what happened after that
she was too flustered over the sudden public display of affections the two of you shared that it was the only thing stuck in her head for a while
although, she now hopes that her two favorite stories were based off of the relationship you and senku hold with each other
if only
the first time kohaku, well, anyone, saw you cry was when senku's father relayed a message to you (instead of his own son)
"senku, it's you, isn't it?"
"—nah, you don't need that dramatic father-and-son crap, do you?" senku cackled from that. "but y/n better be there standing next to you like she always is." it was the first mention of you from the record. "i know rebuilding japan will be your priority, y/n, but i also know that you'll stay by senku's side to rebuild the world. take care of him for me, y/n!"
from the corner of kohaku's eye, she saw you raising your hands up to your face, covering it. she saw senku move his arm that lays on your lower back. it looks like he's comforting you.
something then happened that kohaku can never forget
it'll be embedded in her head for so long
kohaku walked towards senku about to call him out, but stopped mid walk. senku stood next to you; both of your backs facing her. he turned his head to look at you. you turned your head to look at him. a few words were exchanged. he raised his hand and gently held your chin. he pulled you towards him and gave a short peck, but then you took hold of his collar and smashed your lips back onto his.
...
kohaku paused for a second. "senku!" then decided to just call the scientist out and continued with what she was going to tell senku either way.
Tumblr media
gen was about to go up the observatory when he heard you and senku having a talk
"hey, senku, how would you feel if i..." your question trailed off, hinting at something that seemed like only you and senku know about, or you did something non-verbal.
there was a pause; senku probably thinking over his reply. "but i thought you like playing this game?"
they were playing a game? at this time? gen thought to himself, confused.
"of course i do; it amuses me. this game can only be played a few times after all. i'm only asking because i thought it'd be my turn to do it," you clarified which didn't really make any sense to gen at all. what you said got rid of the image that you two are playing game. just what the hell are you two talking about up there?
there was another pause. "just come up already. what do you want?" it was senku calling him.
kohaku was never afraid of you
why would she be?
you're no enemy
"senku, let me make something clear," kohaku called out. "homura's movements are exceptional."
"gymnastics," says senku. "it's a skill that doesn't exist in your age. y/n can do them too." he jerked his head to your direction you.
"we won't be able to capture her unharmed, but i could behead her with my sword. am i free to kill her?" a serious question kohaku dropped. yours and senku's eyes narrowed at her.
"kohaku, have you ever killed a human being?" you asked kohaku, now standing in front of her. kohaku opened her mouth, but you raised your hand up. "of course you haven't—i know that—and you'll hesitate when the time comes, but, please, kohaku," you called her name with a shaky tone and a hint of guilt that she never heard from you. "never offer yourself to kill another human being. you need to keep that morality with you, it's what makes a person human."
kohaku understood what you said
but she was left with questions that hung in the air, afraid to be asked
were you surrounded by death through killing?
or were you the one killing?
she really wouldn't dare ask
gen knows just how formidable the people around tsukasa are
but the thing is the kingdom of science has you
and he kind of wants to brag about that
"i'm sure you guys know how strong tsukasa is, but it's not just him. the people around him are formidable as well," says nikki through the phone. she then revealed another of tsukasa's allies being someone of great hearing.
"ukyo?" senku asks, turning to gen.
"he was a sonar operator on a submarine," explained gen. "he's got insanely good hearing. that's why tsukasa woke him up."
"good hearing you say?" you piped up. "what a useful thing in certain situations. what are the chances we could get him to our side?" you asked senku with a carefree grin to which he just fondly smiles at.
it was then gen realized something after your comment. "y/n-chan, is it true that your family are...?" he trailed off, not sure how to ask and afraid that you'd be offended from him bringing up rumors about your family.
you understood what he was asking, but all you did was chuckle making senku sigh. gen smartly decided not to push any further. he also took your ominous chuckle as confirmation.
"wait," called nikki. "y/n?"
gen smirked. "yes, nikki! we have the l/n y/n on our side! tsukasa and his army may be formidable, but we have the most formidable on our side," he boasted proudly. "as everyone in japan knows, no one can ever beat a member of the l/n family."
you smiled knowingly, feeling a sense of control and pride at gen's comment making senku sigh once more. "can we stop feeding her ego?" he comments
"y/n!" screamed taiju, both as a calling out and a greeting. "are you taking care of senku?!"
"i am perfectly capable of taking care of myself," commented senku with a deadpan.
you howled out a laughter. "of course i am taiju. are you taking care of yuzuriha?" you asked back.
"yes i am!" he answered confidently to which you laughed fondly at.
gen's plan was to just brag about you
but he was not expecting to get something interesting out of this
he thought yuzuriha and taiju didn't know about you
but they do
which just brings him more questions than answers, honestly
when could they have met you?
actually now that he thinks about it, when did senku meet you?
when magma came back after escaping the hands of ukyo, he also relayed the message that chrome got abducted
kohaku immediately wanted to barge in and take chrome back
and she could never forget the humbling moment of when you instantly stopped her
"chrome's been captured by the tsukasa empire!" exclaimed suika in a fits of worry and panic.
"well, what's the plan, twig?" demanded magma towards senku.
a serious look on the scientist's face as you straightened your posture up, standing next to him. kohaku frowned then ran off with her sword in hand.
"kohaku?!" screamed ruri. "she's not going to help him by herself, is she?"
"she's so quick to act," commented kaseki.
"stop kohaku!" kokuyo commanded, pointing in the directed his daughter took off.
ginro looked at the former village chief in aghast. "but how?! there's no one in this village who can catch up to kohaku-chan!"
oh but there is someone.
"y/n." with one simple call from senku, you had already appeared in front of kohaku, disarmed her of her sword, and pushed her against the ground.
all in three seconds.
she was right from the start
she could never beat you
it really is a good thing you're on their side
of all the people he'd expect to be on the other side of this stone world call
he never would have expected you
in fact, ukyo never expected to to talk to you at all
but here he is
being reassured by you, of all people
"—if you promise to produce zero casualties, i'll cooperate with you. but if you kill even one person..."
senku starts cackling at his request. "sounds great! i'm in." gen shrieks at this. "no problem. we've said—" senku turned around to see your hand on his shoulder. he immediately moved away for you to stand in front of the microphone.
"i do not know what kind of person you are, ukyo, but you are naive to think that a war would not have any bloodshed." he freezes. he knows that voice... he knows it too well. everyone in japan knows it too well. "however, i know how senku is. i know that his plan from the beginning were to have zero casualties, and if that's the plan, then i assure you that there will be no bloodshed at all."
"that's gonna be a pretty tough battle!" exclaimed gen after your declaration.
ukyo believed you
he believed you immediately
he had no reason to doubt you... or senku
especially when you supported him that confidently
he feels relieved to know that you're not on tsukasa's side
if you were
then the ground would've been red
tsukasa never expected there to be a phone in the grave of senku
he never expected for some of his allies to turn against him
he also didn't believe hyoga when he said you were revived
but maybe he should've believed him
but at the same time, what good would it be if he had believed hyoga?
tsukasa is sure that no one can beat you
not even the strongest high school primate
"i can save everyone with this paper airplane dynamite," says senku as the nitroglycerin covered airplane exploded upon impact at a tree.
"what the hell was that?!" stammered ginro.
"anyone caught in that would be gone without a trace," commented kinro.
kohaku stared in awe at the leftover the explosion made, then smirked smugly. "human strength is laughable in comparison to the power of science."
senku laughs. "we made it just in time. you held out well, battle team."
"the kingdom of science has just completed dynamite! it has the power of ten billion megaton joules," gen boldly gave out a lie. senku glanced at him calling out for his bold ass lie to which gen defended that senku sucks at negotiating.
"whether i parry it or smack it down, it'll explode. there's no way to dodge a large blast." tsukasa hums. "yes, it's true that we're out of moves, but that would surely cause collateral damage and kill many people. senku, you're incapable of abandoning people. you would never sacrifice yourself either."
"well, well, it looks like we're both stuck. this isn't a victory; it's a stalemate," says senku. "in your eyes anyways." he moved forward and held onto another nitroglycerin covered airplane. "did you know nitroglycerin is y/n's favorite?"
tsukasa froze at the sudden information drop. so it was true? of all the people, why would you be on senku's side? in fact, why were you at this side of the country at all when the petrification happened?
"y/n, no bloodshed remember?"
tsukasa looked behind him to see you standing there with a knife against his throat. he didn't even hear you nor sensed your presence. is this the power you hold as a member of the l/n family? "are you going to take revenge, senku?" he asked.
"no, of course not," senku deadpans. "let's negotiate, tsukasa."
throughout the entire negotiation, you did not move one bit away from his neck
tsuksa knew of your abilities, but seeing it in person was a different experience
he had one question for you though
why do you let senku command you like that?
"what reason do i have to believe you?" he asked senku.
"all you have is my word. i don't lie when it comes to science," answered senku, cooly. "is that not enough?" tsukasa heard you softly squeal at the sight of senku. does senku really have you wrapped around his finger that quickly? no, that wouldn't make any sense. unless the two of you share some history together?
"no, that's plenty."
this would be chrome's first time watching someone get revived from petrification
instead, before that could happen, he revealed some information that he thought was common knowledge
it wasn't
as senku was about to pour the revival fluid, taiju stopped him. "wait senku! mirai-chan's naked," exclaimed taiju as he poked senku's eyes. "no! you can't revive her now!"
senku writhed on the ground in pain, covering his eyes. "here we go again with your absurd nonsense," he managed to let out. "we're in an emergency, in the stone world! who cares if you're buck naked or if your peepee's showing?" he raised his hand up, rubbing his eye to soothe the pain, then removed them showing his teary eyes. "you really like this plot twist, don't you? we'll figure it out once she wakes up—"
"but if it's y/n, would you be okay with it?" senku snapped his mouth shut at taiju's rebuttal. he turned over to you, who's standing next to him, to see a smirk growing on your face. he could already feel the headache coming from this small tease.
you raised your hand and casually revealed, "actually he revived me naked, so..." heads turned to senku who flinched at the sudden movement, all of them looking shocked (sans kohaku, she's actually mad).
"senku!" kohaku roared, drawing her dagger out.
"what's wrong with that?" asked chrome, breaking the tension. kohaku turned her head to glare at chrome who flinched at that hostility.
"chrome-chan, it's bad manners to see someone naked without their consent," informed gen, treating chrome as if he was an innocent child.
"no, i know that!" exclaimed chrome. "but they bathe together, so they see each other naked all the time," he then revealed. heads turned once again to senku, but this time to you as well to which senku sighs and you laugh at.
"and just how do you know that, chrome?" senku asks, then lets out a disgusted face. "don't tell me..."
"no!" denied chrome immediately. "i notice you guys heading towards the springs together a lot and y/n would be carrying a bamboo basket of like these cases and i also saw soap in it, so i assumed that you two would be taking a bath... together." he then realized the implications of what he revealed and turned red.
god bless yuzuriha on making a set of clothes for mirai, breaking the tension.
many things were revealed that night
under the curtesy of chrome
he never thought too deeply about the things he know, but saying it out loud made him realize some things
it made gen and tsuka understand just what of relationship you hold with senku as well (kind of)
and so the question changes
how did you and senku get to that point?
"senku..." chrome called out. "we're missing some dynamite," he shared with a serious tone.
upon hearing that you quickly scanned the area and noticed who are missing, and bolted off. a few minutes later, an explosion rang out, then you heard gen screaming out to the villagers to hurry up.
you snuck up on hyoga, bloodlust accidentally slipping which made him dodge, but barely. a line of blood forming across the back of his shoulder blades. he raised his spear and instead of aiming it at you, he aimed it at mirai. you moved forward, blocking the attack on hitting her. the spear pierced through you, but not as deep as hyoga wanted since you were able to stop it by holding onto it.
"so you're not impenetrable," he mused.
"go fuck yourself," you spat.
you broke the spear in half then pushed it through you, popping it out from the back. you spun around, catching the bloodied half of the spear, then turned right back around, using the momentum to throw it towards hyoga.
"get out of there! tsukasa! mirai!" you heard senku cry out from the distance. "y/n!" then you heard him let out this blood curdling scream.
you lost balance from the powerful throw causing you to slip and fall. tsukasa ran over. hyoga blocked the spear with the other half of it. tsukasa managed to catch you, holding onto your wrist. hyoga quickly picked up the bloodied upper half of the spear and aimed it at tsukasa. you swung yourself forward, your feet flat against the mountain wall and pushed yourself off, pulling tsukasa down with you. hyoga missed his stab, grazing the side of his torso instead. the sudden pull made mirai slip from the edge, but luckily senku caught up and pulled her away from the edge. however, hyoga then kicked senku off the mountain to which he jumped down afterwards.
senku's hands trembled as he held the wound, putting pressure on it. you could feel his fright against your skin, in fact, you're just as frightful as he is. the both of you can't lose each other. he can't lose you; and you don't wanna leave him. tsukasa kept himself busy as he fought against hyoga, but anyone with eyes could see that tsukasa is affected by the cut.
"you need to work with him, senku, i can survive for a few minutes," you managed to tell him as you reached towards your wound, holding it down with two hands. "you two can end this fight just as quickly as it started. we both know how bad water and blood is inside of a punctured lung." your breathing increased.
"save your breath! y/n, please..." senku lowered his head, laying it against your forehead.
"then go and help tsukasa already," you forcefully told him with gritted teeth.
hyoga managed to get his way over to where the two of you were. he kicked you away from senku. "y/n!" he screamed out.
anyone could tell that senku was distressed
it was the most obvious thing
you've been unconscious for barely a few hours and yet he's become restless
the people who know senku well enough are shocked at this newfound side of his
then again at the same time, they weren't shocked
everyone knows just how much you and senku care for each other despite not knowing just what exactly the relationship the two of you hold
(there was assumptions of it, but that's all they were: bold assumptions)
"senku, you need to rest," advised gen, looking worried. "you took a beating as well."
senku shook his head. "what's the point of sleeping when i need to think of a way to save y/n," he replied, pacing in the cave room you laid in.
taiju and yuzuhira glanced at each other, worried for their long time friend. this was not the first time this had happened. they hoped it would be the last, but here they are yet again, watching senku worry upon hours for an injured you.
"senku, do you want to sleep in here?" yuzuriha asked softly. senku looked up at her and nodded, no words to be said.
"i'll get a spare bed for you senku! no worries!" exclaimed taiju as he ran off.
"has he ever been like this before?" kohaku asked, going straight to the point. gen and chrome walked closer to kohaku and yuzuriha.
yuzuriha's lips drew into a thin line, unsure if she should share. she knew about the game you and senku liked to play, after all, she was one of the first victims. "only when y/n becomes reckless and injuries herself, but this time it's worse. it's hard to heal an injury as severe as that in the stone world."
"it's obvious," mentioned gen. "i may not know what relationship they have together, but if my assumptions are right, then it makes sense. usually senku would've thought of something by now, but he hasn't. his mind is being blocked by anxiousness, panic, and worry. he needs to calm down."
"senku..." you weakly called out which caught senku's attention immediately, and crouched down next to you. "get your ass to sleep." the others were taken aback at the first sentence you spoke after you woken up from a short coma.
senku let out a huff of amusement. "of course that's the first thing you say," he mentions.
"you know me so well, love." a weak smirk formed on your face. if anyone picked up on the sudden affectionate name, they didn't mention it. "but seriously though, how can you save me when you can't even think straight. you know me well, but i know you just as well, senku."
senku furrowed his brows.
"you need to accept what you need to do, senku."

A/n: Just binge watched all three seasons of Dr. Stone and Senku and Tsukasa can do whatever they want to me! Bark Bakrk woof Awooga!
Tumblr media
Soft boyfriend Tsukasa: That revived you in this new stone world with the 'miracle fluid' after gathering a strong enough army, to ensure your safety at all times.
Soft boyfriend Tsukasa: That barely wants his right-hand man Hyoga to be around you unless it's absolutely necessary going out of way to forage, fish, and hunt with you.
Soft Boyfriend Tsukasa: That sits beside you for quality time as you sew and talk his ear off about everything that runs his mind and although he could spend his time elsewhere, where else would he want to be.
Soft Boyfriend Tsukasa: That is still as sweet as he was 3,700 years ago instead of carrying your books to school, he carries any prey you caught, any basket of mushrooms, and any firewood (He doesn't want his gorgeous girl working hard, what type of boyfriend would he be).
Soft Boyfriend Tsukasa: That ignores all the other attractive women (much to the disappointment of Minami) in his empire throwing themselves at him much preferring to keep his sights set on you. His one and only.
Soft Boyfriend Tsukasa: Whose heart breaks as you finally see him firsthand destroy a statue of an older gentleman the crumbled rock around his feet and his gut twisting as your eyes prick the slightest tears.
Soft boyfriend Tsukasa: Who doesn't follow after you when your quick leave his vicinity not wanting to pressure you into talking to him, knowing how empathetic you are about a lot of things (It's one of the things he loves about you, but right now it's biting him in the ass).
Soft Boyfriend Tsukasa: Whose heart beats harder than it ever has when comparing it to any of his grueling wrestling matches after a week of silence on your end you sit next to him at the campfire site just leaning your head on his shoulder.
Soft Boyfriend Tsukasa: Who's about to apologize for slaughtering those statues in front of you and explain his reasoning behind his uncouth action is surprised when you tell him 'You don't mind.'
Soft Boyfriend Tsukasa: Who stays quiet with ears open as you express that although you don't like what he's doing, you condone killing innocent people statues or not, but you won't question it or force him to stop knowing it has to be for good reason.
Soft Boyfriend Tsukasa: Who places his huge hands-on top of yours just giving a gentle squeeze of acknowledgement and thankfulness, because in this moment no words need to be said as the fire crackles in front of you two.
Soft Boyfriend Tsukasa: Who is now happier than he thinks he's ever been having both you and his newly revived sister free from her dreaded comatose (with the help of Senku) at his side.
Soft Boyfriend Tsukasa: Who smiles the slightest bit and chuckles softly as he watches from the sidelines you entertain and play with his younger sister grateful that the two of you get along so well and even wondering if one day you would want a family with him. A blend of both of your genes.
Soft Boyfriend Tsukasa: That sacrifices his life with a spear piercing through his lung at the river side when Hyoga attempts to attack you and Miria. The last thing he sees before he falls into the river is you and Senku reaching out for him in a desperate attempt to catch him.
Soft Boyfriend Tsukasa: After his epic battle with Senku at his side he spends his last minutes alive breathing ragged and hoarse with you and the renowned scientist. His head in your lap and holding each other hands as he chuckles at Senku's attempt at small talk.
Soft Boyfriend Tsukasa: That whispers out a barely heard "I love you" but before you can even comprehend it and much less respond his eyes softly close, and his breathing comes to a permanent stop.
Soft Boyfriend Tsukasa: Who unknowingly has you and his sister by his side the entire time he is in cold sleep. Barely leaving the makeshift refrigerator as you tell him stories and talk his ear off knowing that you won't get a response.
Soft Boyfriend Tsukasa: Who when he's finally revived and healed from what were once permanent wounds hugs his teary-eyed little sister and looks around the cave space for you inconspicuously knowing you couldn't be far.
Soft Boyfriend Tsukasa: Who finally spots you in the very back of the group your lip quivering as he cracks the softest of smiles and hold his arms open for you to rush into as you cry and snot all over his bare chest comforting you with the fact that he was alive and well now.
Soft Boyfriend Tsukasa: Who even though was dead for months on end in that cold refrigerator somehow knew that you were by his side the entire time thanking you for never giving up on him.
Soft Boyfriend Tsukasa: Who sits with you on the cave floor simply murmuring low sweet nothings in your ear as you cling onto him as if to make sure he's really alive and well, your head pressed against his chest to hear his heart beating once more.
Soft Boyfriend Tsukasa: Who says "Let me say it properly this time, my dear. I love you."
Extra: Soft Boyfriend Tsukasa: Who could most definitely manhandle you like a little ragdoll but refrains from it since you've never expressed interest in such rough treatment. But after he tosses you over his shoulder to carry you out the cave without asking in the heat of the moment and hears your delighted giggle, he'll be sure to bring that up with you.

"ʟᴏᴏᴋ ᴍʏ ᴡᴀʏ."
[ꜱᴇɴᴋᴜ x ɢɴ!ʀᴇᴀᴅᴇʀ]
Tumblr media
It wasn't really a secret. You didn't even try, honestly.
Since the first of times of where you'd glimpsed his face at school, to the latest catch of him swirling fluid in a beaker, you've always been confident in your feelings.
Albeit a bit clumsy in your attempts, you were honest, never mincing them, never embarrassed.
"Senku, I really really like you!"
"Yeah, okay, could you pass me that screwdriver?" he says, both of you 6 years old in his room, as he gestures to the tool beside you.
"Senku, I want to date you. I heard Aimi had a boyfriend recently and I was thinking-" your voice goes interrupted as the loud sound of Senku's machinery overpower yours. 13 years old, another one of his favorite past times.
"Senku, if we were both nobles in medieval fantasy and I had to marry someone in order to get a persistent suitor off my back, I'd go to you. Offer a contract with an eventual divorce, but then we fall in love in a slow burn romance and start rethinking about our agreement."
"Can you- just- HELP ME, DAMN IT." Senku heaves, 16 years old, face turning red as he struggles to hold the boxes of equipment you came to help him with.
All these confessions, all these words, even before everything changed. The clatter of a can hitting the ground.
...
In this new life, surely, you know, Senku's had an absolute goal for this world. To rebuilt it as it was, from his own two hands. In your own way, you've had to learn how to pace your feelings.
Instead of words, as you always did, you decided to translate your affections into a language that matters most in a time like this.
Actions.
For every problem, every step he takes, you take with him. Express your thoughts, concerns, ideas. Any progress, you're there to celebrate with, any process, you're there to assist.
Declarations of love aren't so frequent, though you do like to sneak it in rarely. Announcing it in bursts of passion at the top of your lungs. Quite an antic you do, much to his embarrassment. It's become a well known fact, and often a joke between company.
Though, sometimes you wonder if it's what makes him doubt it. Your overt confessions, cheesy poems and bustling energy that could rival Taiju's. Was it too clumsy? Too obvious that he feels it's an exaggerated farce for show?
To this, you whisper gingerly in the dead of night, in the earliest of mornings,
"Senku. I really really like you."
In the times of uneventful hours, peacefulness in comfortable silence,
"Senku,"
You know, of course you do, of all people.
No one knows him more than you and that fact would've made you happy of such a thing if it couldn't break your heart more. The love of your life, saying everything said in a language that matters most in this time.
An unreadable glance. When the sun beams down brightly and you stare at him lovingly like he's hung the stars in the sky.
Winter strikes mercilessly, days are rough, tensions are high. When everything's all good and done, a bold pinkie inches towards his own. He doesn't pull away, but his hand moves back just as further.
Late at night, behind the tree he leans upon, watching, just watching. His ruby eyes enraptured by the night's celestial pearl.
Gaze too high, to see you.
You close your eyes.
You don't think you can ever stop loving him, despite that. That man doesn't like dragging things out, so you're sure a rejection is soon to come. Whether you approach first or not.
Why he doesn't do it sooner? You know why. As much as he doesn't reciprocate, you know how hesitant he is when it comes to close relationships such as you. Is he scared of breaking your friendship?
It's not the warmth you're looking for, but it's the warmth you can get. Even so, you would never expect him to return just as much as you've given. You love him for him, and not for anything else.
Tragic, how terribly you do.
Maybe one day, you'll learn to forget, to move your heart from where it isn't supposed to be. Maybe one day, you would stop gazing at him with something much more than fondness, waiting for his eyes to find its way back to you.
But until then,
"-I love you."

The frustration of wanting to write a multi-chapter Sengen fanfic but you don’t have enough brain cells to believably write two characters who are so intelligent so you gotta write fluffy established relationship one-shots that have minimal scientific jargon XD

Fever Rating: G Pairing: Senku x Kohaku (SenHaku/KohaSen) AO3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/24685162
One of my first DCST fics (written in June 2020), but I decided to give it a small rewrite. Namely to correct grammar and things I got wrong at the time of writing. I hope it'll still be enjoyed!

(New Dr. Stone fanfic chapter on AO3!) Chapter 28: Kohaku
FANFIC TITLE: No Stone Unturned (31,000+ words)
Tumblr media
FANFIC TITLE: No Stone Unturned (31,000+ words)
FANFIC SUMMARY: (Senku/Kohaku.) How did the scientist fall in love with the lioness? A friendship- and science-focused retelling of Dr. Stone from Senku’s perspective.
FANFIC LINK: (I’ll put the AO3 link in the notes/comments :D)
PERSONAL MESSAGE: Hello and happy reading, fellow Dr. Stone fans! ^_^
EXCERPT FROM CHAPTER 28:
“…As Senku and Chrome went off to do science things, Suika said she would get started on dinner, and Gen offered his help in fetching water.
Such an offer would have made Kohaku suspicious before – and actually, she was still slightly suspicious of him, but knowing more now about Gen's crafty, but inherently lazy, personality after spending so much time with him in the forest, she knew that Gen was aware that poisoning their food would also make life harder for himself.
Besides, he won't be stupid enough to start anything right after we recruited two trained warriors…
She paused.
Well, one trained warrior and Ginro.
With that settled, Kohaku turned to her new students.
"Senku's going to do something later," she told them, not going into detail into what that something was because she had no idea either…”

☆ drst hcs ~ in denial
prompt. him being heavily in denial about his feelings for you and if/when he’d finally realize it. split into three sections — him & you (how & why the denial starts) + him & co. (another character’s reaction to his denial) + feelings realization. gender neutral reader.
ft. hyoga, tsukasa, & ukyo
warning. spoilers for most recent eps. ahead , angst
a/n — I think this concept is fun! less characters bc there’s 3 sections per character! enjoy this fun little game of denial! also, i will say that hyoga’s characterization is largely based on his later manga appearances! there are no spoilers, but you don’t get to see a lot of good hyoga until the manga <//3 anyway! enjoy!
Tumblr media
☁️ hyoga akatsuki ;;
him & you ~ how it starts
• Given his nature, Hyoga would be in denial for quite some time before ever realizing that he actually likes you. After all, in his mission to build a world where only the strong and proper are revived, is there really any room for romance?
• The answer, of course, happens to be yes, even if he didn’t mean to fall for you.
• Usually, Hyoga would view kindness as yours as limiting and weak. How can anyone survive in a battle of survival of the fittest if they refuse to be ruthless?
• However… your kindness does something to him. He’s used to being treated with respect, reverence, or fear. Experiencing genuine kindness from you— kindness from one person to another— is an entirely new experience. He’s never been treated with warmth and smiles without an ulterior motive.
• Pacifist or not, your kindness is only further enhanced by your other skills. Witnessing you in your element further grows Hyoga’s affection for you. Your warmth got his eyes on you, and your skills kept him watching.
• But… surely he’s only watching you because you’re a proper ally, right? He’s merely surprised by how capable you turned out to be behind that soft heart. That’s why you’ve caught his attention.
• Hyoga treats you noticeably kinder than others. Even when he’s around people he respects— like Homura or Tsukasa— he maintains distance. With you, he’s a little warmer— more willing to entail conversation he’d see as nonsensical otherwise.
• On top of that, Hyoga is adamant on keeping you away from trouble. When he starts to suspect Gen’s loyalty, he tries his best to keep you far from the mentalist. What if Gen pulled you to the other side? How would he keep you safe then?
• He keeps trying to reason with himself that he merely feels this way because you’re a proper ally, and it’d be a shame to lose skills like yours. He’ll ignore his fluttering heart and the smiles behind his mask if it means keeping you at a distance and never admitting how he feels.
• Because if he admits it and he loses you, he’s certain he’ll risk becoming much weaker. And that’s not something he can afford.
him & co. ~ another character’s reaction — asagiri gen
• Hyoga, though he acts subtle about his favoritism toward you, isn't as discreet as he likely thought he was. Then again, it’s hard to hide things from a mentalist, even if Hyoga wears a mask.
• Gen notices a change in Hyoga’s demeanor a few weeks after you’re revived. Before you were around, Hyoga would make himself scarce— training in solitude— if no one needed him or he had no duties for the day.
• Beforehand, Tsukasa and Homura were the only people Hyoga gave the time of day. He’d hardly ever entertain conversation with another soul unless absolutely necessary. All to say, he was something of a lone wolf.
• Then, you’re revived. And suddenly, Gen sees a lot more of Hyoga around and hears him talking a lot more than he used to.
• Hyoga still trains, but he makes it a point to idle around and wait for you to also be free before walking off with you so you can keep him company while he trains.
• You’re the only one Hyoga actively talks with, and from what Gen has overheard, it’s hardly a business talk. Your conversation topics with Hyoga always include life, family, and who Hyoga is. Surprisingly, Hyoga doesn’t brush you off— diligently answering your questions and even asking some of his own.
• Gen also notices that when Hyoga isn’t around, you’re also notably absent. Gen once thought it was you clinging to Hyoga… but soon realizes it’s quite the opposite. Actually, he overheard Hyoga asking to be assigned to the same work with you when he’s able, or he merely finishes his own duties before seeking you out.
• Gen is quick to realize what it is. However, when he musters up the courage to ask Hyoga about it, he’s not shocked to hear the man vehemently deny it— going as far as calling it foolish and weak.
• However, Gen notices the way his shoulders relax, the way his brow unfurrows, and the smiles Hyoga tries to hide when you’re mentioned. Gen notices the way Hyoga straightens up a bit and softens around the edges when he’s with you.
• Gen knows for a fact that Hyoga is smitten with you. Now… whether or not he’d ever come to admit that is a whole new question. He’s so deep in denial and in his own worldview that he’s almost certain Hyoga would deny it until the day he dies.
• Well… not that it matters to Gen. If he can leverage Hyoga’s crush against him, then he will. Maybe then Hyoga would actually admit that he doesn’t just see you as a normal ally.
feelings realization ~ finally. . .
• After his betrayal against Tsukasa and the Kingdom of Science, Hyoga believes he’ll only feel regret that he didn’t best Senku. However… as time passes while he’s locked up, he feels more regret that he betrayed you and your trust.
• He doesn’t remember how everyone else reacted to his betrayal, but he does remember the hurt and disappointment on your face. In that moment, in fully losing, he felt like he lost something more than his ideal world— the person he wanted to share that world with.
• Hyoga fully suspects you to want nothing to do with him or Homura ever again. He suspects that he’s lost you forever— that he’ll never feel your warmth again. And the mere thought makes his heart hurt.
• In that moment, when he’s locked up and questioning why he cares so much, he finally comes to the realization that he wouldn’t care if you were just a proper ally in his eyes. He wouldn’t care so much unless he cared about you deeply.
• Part of him is disappointed— part of him blames you for bringing out a weakness in him. Surely, that weakness is the reason he lost. But… then you start visiting him.
• It starts with you bringing his food on a daily basis. Then, you bring your own food and stick around to eat with him. You engage Homura in conversation, and soon enough, him, too.
• Hyoga warms up to you all over again. You’re stronger than he ever was. He wants to call you stupid for being so willing to forgive him even though he was your enemy. However, he knows that you’ve fully considered the weight of your decision and still chose forgiveness anyway.
• He knows he could never be that way— which is why he has to admire that trait in you. Sure, perhaps kindness can be a foolish weakness… but that kindness of yours allowed you to give him a second chance.
• In its own way, that’s quite proper, isn’t it?
• Either way, he can’t help but accept that, yes. He loves you more than anything. And if there isn’t a place for romance in the Stone World, he’ll just have to carve one out himself.
• All he hopes is that, one day, you’ll be able to love him just as much. Though, he’d be unable to blame you for feeling otherwise. It’d be foolish for him to engage in such wishful thinking without facing reality.
• But… he certainly does love you. And that won’t change for a long time.
Tumblr media
☁️ tsukasa shishio ;;
him & you ~ how it starts
• When his attention first falls on you, Tsukasa assumes it’s because you’re especially pure-hearted. You’re someone his sister would’ve loved. After all, what else could it possibly be?
• He isn’t fully sure when that viewpoint changes. All he knows is that you change from someone his sister would’ve loved to someone he wishes could’ve met her. You become someone he knows he likes to be around, and he isn’t sure why.
• He vehemently denies that it could be love because, well, it was that same emotion that was Senku, Taiju, and Yuzuriha’s downfall. Senku’s care for his friend and knowing that Taiju loved Yuzuriha is precisely why he was able to best them.
• Emotions like that were sure to become a weakness, and he’d never let that happen, so it couldn’t be that. It’s precisely why he’s never searched for Mirai. Because even if she couldn’t be revived, he couldn’t bear to see her statue come to harm.
• So what he feels for you couldn’t be that. The desire to be in your presence— the desire to confide in you and spend quiet moments with you— it isn’t love. Admiration, perhaps? Maybe friendship? With each passing day he becomes more uncertain of the answer.
• What he does know is that he makes it a point to check in on you quite a bit. He revived you for your skills and kindness… but each time he meets you it’s never about anything related to the Empire.
• Your conversations with him are notably familiar. They’re never about work like with the others he talks with. When he approaches you, he does so to check in on your well-being— to ask if there’s anything you feel you’re lacking.
• You’re the only one he walks along the beach quietly with, reminiscing about his sister and his past. Tsukasa feels inclined to tell you things he hasn’t told another.
• But it isn’t love. When he tells you about himself— hoping to show you the reasons behind his morals— it isn’t love. When he’s had a rough day plagued with regrets and he seeks you out— that isn’t love.
• Because if it is, he’s certain you’d never be happy with where his morals align. He’s certain that you hide how troubled you are beneath a kind smile.
• If he falls for you, he knows it’d kill him that you’d never agree to be by his side. So he refuses— he can’t. He’ll call the extra kindness he shows you, the leniency he takes with you, anything but what it likely is if it means saving himself the weakness that comes with that warmth.
him & co. ~ another character’s reaction — yuzuriha & taiju
• While Tsukasa is relatively good about being subtle about how he feels about you, the person that notices it first is Yuzuriha, followed closely by Taiju.
• When he’s around you, Taiju recognizes the initial upstanding guy he thought Tsukasa was. He sees no hint of hostility or distrust that he’d seen in him before. All he sees is kindness. Tsukasa never regards you with anything but a smile, and it’s enough for Taiju to firmly believe that, yeah, Tsukasa is a good guy— probably just on the wrong path.
• It’s entirely different for Yuzuriha. The reason she recognizes Tsukasa’s fondness for you so quickly is because she recognizes the way the man looks at you. It’s the same way Taiju looks at her. Fondness, warmth, love— an unspoken desire to be by someone’s side no matter what may happen.
• They both see that… but they also hear how Tsukasa talks about you. He has nothing but good things to say. Even if you’re someone who doesn’t agree with Tsukasa’s morals, he’s never expressed anything but understanding. And if someone dares disrespect you, he’s quick to shut it down.
• However, they also hear him insist that you’re just a friend— someone pure-hearted that needs to be protected. Taiju mentions to Yuzuriha that he feels like Tsukasa looks a little sad when he calls you just a friend. She sees it, too.
• When he thinks you aren’t looking, the two notice that Tsukasa’s eyes always seem to drift to you. He always has a faraway look in his eyes. Then, they see his eyes glimmer a bit with hope when you happen to catch his gaze.
• Truth be told, it makes both Taiju and Yuzuriha a little sad. If Tsukasa was honest with himself— if he wasn’t so adamant on his ways— then there’d be nothing stopping him from being happy with you. Tsukasa’s biggest obstacle is himself.
• They hope that if they eventually beat Tsukasa in this war… maybe then he’ll allow himself to be happy with you. Maybe he’ll be allowed a happy ending with you.
• Because at the end of the day, Tsukasa is a good guy, isn’t he?
feelings realization ~ finally. . .
• Tsukasa finally realizes that he loves you when it’s a little too late. He finally realizes it… but his time with you gets cut terribly short.
• At the end of the war against the Kingdom of Science, you remain by his side. You share his excitement in reviving Mirai, and you never blame him for anything that happened. You stayed by him despite everything— despite all the fighting.
• The moment he realizes that you being there is just… natural to him, he accepts that he loves you dearly. You’d stay beside him through thick and thin, you’d be an amazing role model to Mirai, and your kindness knows no end.
• He loves you and wants to protect you. If the entirety of humanity is going to be revived, he’ll protect your pure heart from any corrupt adults himself. He wants to stay by your side and love you at your best and your worst as you did for him. He wants to be your support— a quiet and safe place to retreat to.
• He just… wants to be someone that deserves the kindness you’ve shown him. He wants to be worthy of the warm love you’ve always shown. He loves you and wants to treat you in the way you deserve.
• But… his happiness is short-lived. When Mirai is revived, he tells her about his affection for you. He tells her he wants to confess— but then Hyoga fatally wounds him.
• Tsukasa realizes it’d be selfish to ask you to wait for him. When Senku chooses to freeze him, they both have no clue when he’ll be able to come back— if he’ll ever come back. Tsukasa doesn’t want you to wait for him— for the slim chance he’ll return.
• It’s then that Tsukasa decides to take it with him to the grave. If he happens to revive… if Senku somehow finds a way to petrify him… then he’ll tell you. If you still haven’t found anyone by the time he returns, he makes a promise to himself, and to Mirai, that he'll finally tell you how he feels.
• Before he’s frozen, you make a promise to him in a hushed whisper that you’ll watch over Mirai for him— that you know he’ll return one day and that you’ll be patiently waiting for him to come home.
• In those final moments before cold sleep, Tsukasa’s heart feels reassured. He should’ve realized— you’d wait for him regardless of what he said.
• Now… he just hopes he’ll be able to awaken and meet you again— to love you as you deserve.
Tumblr media
☁️ ukyo saionji ;;
him & you ~ how it starts
• Ukyo recognizes your kindness almost immediately after you’re revived and become acclimated into the Tsukasa Empire. It’s hard for him not to stick by your side— relieved that he isn’t the only one who doesn’t agree with Tsukasa’s ideology and feels some guilt toward being unable to do a thing about it.
• Being around you so much leads him to start recognizing things beyond just an alignment of morals. You’re truly kind and caring— extending that same warmth to Tsukasa and even Hyoga. You reason that they must have their own experiences that led to having such ideals— that it isn’t an excuse not to care for them.
• You have the same idea as Ukyo for different reasons. You won’t leave the Tsukasa Empire not for reasons involving power or which side might win. It’s merely because you care for the people you revived with— you care for him.
• Ukyo wants to protect that kindness— wants to keep a war from happening in hopes that it’ll save you from ever looking sad over a lost friend. But… it isn’t love.
• No, Ukyo is certain that it’s merely a desire to protect you. After all, the world needs more people like you, so he can’t risk you getting in harm’s way. That’s it. It’s nothing beyond a desire to protect, right?
• And yet, you’re the only one that Ukyo has gotten close to in the Tsukasa Empire. He keeps everyone else at a professional distance, refusing to disclose anything about himself. When he’s with you, it seems much easier to open up. He doesn’t feel like he has to hide.
• You’re the only person he goes out of his way to check in on. When he knows you had an especially busy day or had a lot on your plate, he’ll seek you out immediately when he’s relieved of his duties. He’ll comfort you when you need it and keep you company when you desire it.
• However, he refuses to call it anything but friendship. Even if he wants to be closer to you— wants to soothe the fluttering in his heart— he can’t. Because Ukyo is continuously questioning his loyalty to Tsukasa.
• If he said anything, he’s certain you’d be used against him. If you happened to want to turncoat and leave, he knows he’d be used against you. That’s the last thing he wants.
• Because if a war is waged against the Kingdom of Science, Ukyo wants to be certain that you won’t come to harm. And something like love would become a glaring weakness— one that could be fatal.
• And this world needs more people like you.
him & co. ~ another character’s reaction — ishigami senku
• When Ukyo first defects to the Kingdom of Science, Senku immediately notices a level of hesitance for him— as if something is still holding him back. Considering how adamant Ukyo is that absolutely no one dies, Senku assumes that it isn’t just fueled by his morals.
• Then, Gen mentions seeing you and Ukyo together a while ago— and Senku can immediately tell that you’re the reason he’s so adamant on a peaceful end.
• At first, Senku assumes that maybe you’re a really good friend, perhaps a sibling? However, when he’s able to hear more from Taiju and Yuzuriha’s perspective, he can immediately tell it’s romantic, even if Ukyo himself is in denial about that fact.
• In all honesty, he isn’t one to care for romance himself, but he does care about the happiness of others. He can tell Ukyo’s seriously anxious about something happening to you— and though Senku is absolutely certain he won’t let anyone die, he knows that love can be a little illogical.
• Besides, you have your own assets that Senku could utilize. If you have the trust of a man like Ukyo, he’s certain it’s because you’re a good person. He isn’t one to push anyone into confessing— he never did with Taiju— but he will do his best to accommodate, even if he sees it as senseless.
• Because Senku does know what it’s like to lose someone— what it’s like to worry and to not want to be alone. If your presence makes Ukyo a little more confident, so be it. That’s why he’s the one who suggests looping you in and bringing you to their side.
• Hearing and later seeing how comfortable Ukyo is with you by his side is enough to confirm without a doubt that Ukyo loves you. Senku remembers seeding Ukyo when he’s serious— when he’s in the zone. It’s the complete opposite of what the man is like with you.
• With you, Ukyo is softer and much more laid back— more himself, if anything. And frankly, Senku thinks it’s illogical for Ukyo to keep hiding how he feels when it’s clear you feel the same.
• Then again, he won’t push. He’s certain Ukyo will want to make a move himself. He has faith it’ll happen one day, and Ukyo will be better for it.
feelings realization ~ finally. . .
• Given how adamant Ukyo is on protecting you, it isn’t exactly shocking that he’s the one who ends up hurt during the final battle of the war against the Tsukasa Empire.
• What does shock him is just how much it affects you. Of course, you’re kindhearted and have a loving personality— but he didn’t expect you to show so much concern for him in particular. However, the moment he gets injured, you put yourself at risk to get him to safety— spending time patching his wounds before running back to the battle.
• Your bravery paired with the care and consideration you show— add on top of that his neat brush with death— all of it causes him to truly accept that he loves you. He loves you and he doesn’t want to lose you— he doesn’t want to regret the things he never said.
• When the dust finally settles— when Tsukasa is defeated, Hyoga imprisoned, and the Kingdom of Science reigns victorious— he decides to tell you how he honestly feels.
• Because you’re sure to face dangers in the future— ones he might not be there for. There may come a time where he gets hurt or otherwise incapacitated again and he won’t be able to protect you like he wants. All he wants is to be certain that, no matter what you face, you know that he loves you and is supporting you whether he’s there physically or not.
• Of course, he hesitates a bit at first. But when he starts his confession speech and hears your heart quicken— hears the way your breath hitches a bit— he knows it’s mutual and he becomes far more confident in his words.
• Finally, he can accept that he’s always loved you— that there’s no longer a reason to deny it any longer. While he knows there might come a time in the future where someone could use your love against him… he thinks the risk is worth the reward.
• Because in no world are you Ukyo’s weakness. You’re his biggest strength— and you make him strive to be better. And he’s certain that if someone tried to use you two against each other, you and him would find a way to come out on top.

There's rarely any need for Stone to feel relief.
He often feels proud, or accomplished. But relief is something different - the expectation of failure, the lifting of the weight.
He doesn't feel that often. He knows he does well, and he knows everything will be fine regarding himself and the doctor.
Which is why, after a year in Green Hills, the sudden message from the doctor has him lightheaded, a smile pulling at his lips as the tension leaves his body as he changes the coffee shop for his guest.
Relief.
