Doctor Claw

The enigmatic Dr. Claw is the malicious mastermind behind the criminal syndicate known as M.A.D.  His organization seeks to take over the world by way of numerous acts of terrorism, extortion and theft.  Dr. Claw orchestrates these attacks from afar, tucked safely away in his secret castle accompanied solely by his pet, MADCat.

Dr. Claw is the nemesis of Inspector Gadget, who has always managed to thwart M.A.D.’s devious schemes.  Claw is largely unaware that it is usually the actions and quick thinking of Gadget’s niece, Penny, and her dog, Brain, that foils his plans.

Actor Victor Désy provided the voice for Dr. Claw with the villain first appearing in the debut episode of Inspector Gadget, airing on December 4th, 1982.

Due to a series of events, I ended up listening to the Inspector Gadget theme with Deep Space 9 (Odo specifically) fresh in my brain, and have been blessed? cursed? With the mental image of Odo, through some transporter/wormhole nonsense, as Inspector Gadget, thoroughly annoyed by everyone expecting him to be as... unconventionally competent? as Gadget is and treating him as if he's oblivious and incapable

And of course I'm trying to figure out how to fit Quark into all this bc they're so involved (I swear if one of them is the focus of the episode the other plays a large role, you can't have one without the other and it's so funny to me, I should do a separate post on them bc I have so much to say). The obvious answer is Dr. Claw, and it could be really funny for "Dr. Claw" to leave his lair and meet up with "Gadget", bickering like an old married couple as they talk about "finding a way home". And Quark has the perfect excuse to continue the Faceless Villain gag!! Maybe only revealing how obviously Not-Human he is right before they leave, like "oh good now I can take off this ridiculous stifling hood (or whenever he's been using), let my ears breathe" and giving everyone else a heart attack while Odo admonishes him and drags him through/into whatever/however they get home.

(I expected this to be... much shorter, but then Quark)

I wanna make a IG movie 2 Claw appreciation post. Cuz like, his design genuinely FUCKS

Like the rest of this movie: it's not exactly too fitting to source. But DAMNNN the whole 'Big suit with another suit on it and big hat covering face' is such a dope look, it makes Claw seem like a mafia boss which isn't out of character for the og claw.

I also love how the first fit is white, cuz lots of people associate white as a Good Guy color. So here it's kinda like a 'it's not what it seems' thing which makes sense since MAD usually deceives Inspector Gadget (I'm probably looking to deep into that but its fun to imagine).

All in all, a fire outfit. But not exactly the MAD aesthetic. However if this design was combined with 2015s Claw's design (cuz despite it being from the 2015, i like it)

The result would go so absolutely extremely incredibly hard AF!
