This is an amazing mod! If you want your sim to become a model this is the mod for you! This does require the City living & Get Famous expansion packs, so be aware. Here are the creator's notes about the levels and branches;

1. Volunteer Model--there is no pay for the beginning of this career. I wanted to make it as realistic as possible, so level 1 is all about building a portfolio and gaining exposure. Mood: Confident M - W - F S S

2. Local Model -- Your sim will be part of the "mall crowd" participating in local fashion shows. These jobs aren't very selective... $15/hr. Skills: Charisma 1 Mood: Confident - T - T F S S

Let's Talk About Posing

A Sims 4 posing tutorial

Providing a written tutorial with images to help you learn basic posing in The Sims 4 and also various mods and tricks you can use to help your posing experience. I know there are more tricks on this out in the wild, so I don't dare call it a complete tutorial. It will, however, get you started.

Updated: August 2024

This is a long tutorial, but it should help you with using all of the above mentioned mods to have a better posing experience in The Sims 4.

Download the above mentioned mods. Place them in your mods folder. Need a tutorial? Here you go.

Download some poses! There are several resources out there. On Tumblr, I use @ts4-poses often.

Open your game

Congratulations! You're on the way to posing sims. The basics are very easy using Andrew's Pose Player. You can pose your sim at anytime by clicking on the sim pie menu and finding the options of “Pose by Pack” or “Pose by Name.” Personally, I don't have the brain space to remember pose names, so I always pose by pack. This will bring up an options list of poses. If you have a lot of poses, this will be a long list. If you don't have a lot of poses, obviously it will be a shorter list. Click the pose set you want and then click the pose or poses you want to have your sim complete. Yes, you can queue multiple!

TwistedMexi’s Searchable Pose Player

If you have downloaded and have multiple poses, I recommend using TMex’s Searchable Pose Player Mod. This will add a search bar to your pose option tab that you can use to search for poses instead of always having to scroll for them. This mod works well with both Andrew’s Pose Player and both WW pose players!

A List of All IN GAME Animations Names

@stargazer-sims made a very helpful post that let Simblr know there is a list of the animation names that can be used with Andrew’s Pose Player “Pose by Name.” Copy the animation name of the pose you want from the list and paste it into pose player. From the post: “This list was compiled by ThePancake1 and is current up to the For Rent EP.” Direct Link to the List of Animation Names

*For this tutorial, I am using poses created by @honeyssims4.

Now, how do you stop posing? If its the sim you are controlling, just cancel the task in their queue. You can also pose sims that you can't control and are not in your household – which is pretty neat! To have them stop using the current pose in their action queue, click on the sim and from their menu, select “Stop Posing.” If you have more than one pose queued, both of these options will cause the sims to take up the next pose. If there are no other poses selected, they will stop posing all together. Sims have NO AUTONOMY while posed. They will be stuck there until you stop them.

Posing is great, but how about posing sims in a specific spot, or seated on furniture, or WITH other sims? Now you want to use the Teleport Any Sim statue. You will find this handy tool in build/buy mode located under decorations. My trick here is that if you type “teleport” into the search bar and click, it will bring up the teleporter as your first option. Save yourself some time searching the catalog, I say. Once the Teleport Any Sim statue is placed, you can click on it to have a menu with two options: Teleport Sim or Summon Sim. Teleport Sim brings up a menu of sims ON THE LOT. Summon Sim brings up a menu of sim IN THE SAVE FILE. The list size is a big difference.

Many poses will have some instructions when you download them on how to place the Teleport Any Sim statue. If you are posing two or more sims using a pose designed for multiple sims, you want to place multiple statues on top of each other in the same location. If you are posing a sim on furniture – like a couch, place the statue in the center of the furniture (unless otherwise instructed.) When the pose creators created the pose, they designed it with other sims and/or furniture in mind and planned on you having that statue in that location for the expected results.

I recommend having your game paused when teleporting or summoning sims to your statues, as live mode sims not paused will walk away in moments. Once the sim has taken the place of the statue, click on the sim and bring up the posing menu just as you did before to select the pose you want. If multiple sims are involved, you need to go to each sim and select the pose from the menu for each of them. No, the pose menu using the statue does not remember what pose group you were using. Yes, you need to scroll for it every time. Once the sim or sims are posed, then you can take your game off of pause and let your sims enter the selected poses.

Things to know while using the poses with Andrew's Pose Player; if you enter Create-a-Sim (CAS) while posed, your sims snap out of their pose. If you enter Build Buy mode, your sim will snap out of their pose. If you placed your statue in the wrong location and you need to place it somewhere else to pose, you'll have to enter build buy mode to do it and your sim will, again, snap out of their pose. Finally, some poses require accessories be used – usually located under rings, bracelets, or hats that you can add to your sim in CAS. You need to remember to add these things BEFORE you pose your sim.

This is where we start talking about other mods, to help you with the above concerns. Andrew's Pose Player and Teleport Any Sim Statue are amazing devices, but we can improve on the posing game with a little help.

*Note: Sometimes you need to allow a few in game minutes after loading into a lot before you begin posing to allow sims to finish their idle animations. Infants and horses, for example, need to finish their idle animations before they will take up a pose.

If you posed a sim and they were in the wrong outfit, how can you fix that without leaving the pose?

A very simple solution is to use MC Command Center. Click on MC Command center from your sim menu, scroll down to “Dresser.” From there click on “Change Outfit.” You can select any of the outfits your sim all ready has made and they will instantly change into that outfit without leaving the pose. If they are summoned in their swimwear and you wanted everyday, this is the easy way to fix the problem.

If you've posed a sim in the wrong spot or you want to combine poses with multiple sims and move them to the right spot, how do you do that?

This trick specifically works if you have teleported or summoned a sim using the Teleport Any Sim Statue. The statue is important as for the briefest of moments it makes your game register a sim as an object. Why is that important? Because I'm about to tell you that TwistedMexi's T.O.O.L. Mod can be used to move sims that have been summoned/teleported/posed using the Teleport Any Sim statue. *Sometimes you can use TOOL on a posed sim who hasn’t used the statue, sometimes you can’t. The statue is your safe bet.

I know T.O.O.L. can be a very intimidating mod, but I promise its easier than it looks with practice. TwistedMexi has made a few very good tutorials on the full use, Fantasims has made a great tutorial too. I'm going to try and give you a quick one just for moving your posed sims.

In this case, I have a sim posed, but I didn't line her up with the chair she's supposed to be sitting on. Lets fix that. Have the T.O.O.L. Mod installed, of course. Have testing cheats on. Now, press the shift button and then click on your sims menu. Click through the options until you find “T.O.O.L.” Click on that. The TOOL menu will give you five options. All of them can be super useful for moving posed sims, but I'm going for simple here. Click on “Toggle Active Object.” Did your sim turn green? Good, that's what we want, that shows that TOOL has her marked as the thing we want to move.

To move the sim once they are the active object, hold down the Alt key and click on the floor in whichever direction you need to move your sim. In this case, she needed to go to her left, so I clicked on the floor and gently pulled her into the desired position. Once she is in position, click the sim again to make her no longer green and no longer the active object.

Things to know about using TOOL. Once your sim (the object) is active, you can click the floor anywhere and instantly move them. Holding down the Alt key drags them with precision. If you accidentally clicked the floor somewhere without holding Alt, your sim jumped further than you intended. Or maybe that's exactly what you wanted to do. If you click another object while your sim is green and active, TOOL will think you wanted that object to be active instead and turn it green. Be careful not to click other objects while dragging your sim around, just the floor or the ground. You can make multiple objects active by holding down the Alt key and clicking on them (or other sims) and you can then drag those objects or sims together as a unit. This is how you can take them off the lot to pose next to a waterfall in Sulani if you wanted to. You can use TOOL to rotate sims and move them up or down if you want. I really recommend watching tutorials on TOOL, its a game changing mod.

I've posed a sim and I forgot to add the pose accessory! Can you add the accessory after being posed?

With the help of Lot 51's Fashion Authority mod, you can. Sort of. This mod is so much bigger than an accessory adder, but we'll stick to that part in this tutorial.

@surely-sims has made an excellent video tutorial on this very trick. I learned this from her and I'm only able to share this knowledge because she did first.

The first thing I need to tell you is that, unfortunately, you still need to plan ahead. You can use the Fashion Authority mod to make an “outfit” that is just the pose accessory you need that does NOT override any other part of what your sim is currently wearing. You still need to make this outfit before posing the sim as you do still need to go into CAS – which yes, still pops your sim out of the pose. However, you can create and save MANY outfits, one for each accessory if you need, that you can then apply to any sims you have posed in the future – even if they are not in your household.

The accessory will not be a permanent part of the sims' outfit either. Once you change out of that outfit and back into it, you will not have the accessory attached. This part is brilliant!

Before you plan to use accessories on your sims with Fashion Authority, you need to go to Fashion Authority → Settings → Enable Outfit Merge Mode (For Advanced Users). This will allow you to use your accessory without having your sims' outfit change while being used. Please note, you need to enable this with each game play session.

You will need to create an accessory thread BEFORE you pose your sim. Click on the sim menu and click on the Fashion Authority tab. Then click “Create a Thread.” The next menus will ask you if it is masc or fem, age group. For pose accessories, I make them Generic Uniforms. You then get a whole menu dedicated to this new thread. I start by naming it so I know what it is when I have to scroll for it later. This one will be for a shark accessory. I then change the Outfit Merging Rules – anything highlighted in green will be forced to change when you select this outfit using Fashion Authority. In this case, my shark accessory is a bracelet, so I'm only highlighting bracelets green. I want the rest of the outfit to stay the same, we're just forcing the shark in there. Now you modify in CAS. Add the accessory and only the accessory to the mannequin that shows up in the CAS prompt. Click the check mark. You've made your accessory thread/outfit.

Now you can pose your sim. Or you can add the thread first – its up to you. Once posed, click your sim menu, click Fashion Authority. From the Fashion Authority menu, click “Manage All Threads.” Choose the thread you just made with your accessory. There you are, one posed sim with a shark in hand!

I have several threads pre-made with pose accessories and labeled so I know what they are. I can pose on the fly with whichever sims I want this way and not worry about how I'm going to get that accessory on them. The easy way to remove the pose accessory is to go through MC Command Center → Dresser → Change Outfit and select the outfit you want, even if its the on your sim is currently wearing. Click this, and the accessory will be gone – no CAS time required. Changing outfit via an in game dresser will do the same thing.

Things to know: Fashion Authority allows you to create threads for toddlers, children, and Teen-Elders.

Fashion Authority Threads are created by SAVE GAME. You can, however, now import them into your other saves so you don't need to make your accessory threads over and over again in each save. Import threads to new saves by Going through Options → Import Threads

If you enter your save game without the pose accessories installed in your mods folder, all of your Threads will be blank if you save that game – even if you load your accessories back in later. Be careful!

Are there other options to pose sims, or is it just Andrew's pose player?

Well, there is another option, though it comes form an unexpected source. It comes in WW. Either one. Both Wicked Whims (The R rated mod) and it's counterpart, Wonderful Whims, have a built in posing functionality that is both easy and intuitive. You will still need to have Pose Player installed – children, toddlers, infants, and pets cannot be posed using the WW posing ability. You need both.

In either of the WW mods, you are absolutely able to go through and disable every function in them if all you want is the pose player. Please keep that in mind if you don't want the additional modded game play those mods are both designed for!

There is a video tutorial up now on using Wicked Whims Pose player made by GiaXoXo2405 that is very helpful. KatVerse has a great video tutorial for posing in Wonderful Whims.

How to use WW as a posing tool. Click on your sim pie menu, click on Wonderful or Wicked. The Wonderful and Wicked menus have a tab called “pose.” Click it and select the pose you want from the poses you have installed. This posing method makes your sim vanish for a moment, don't worry, she's still there! Once the sim phases back into existence, she's posed.

Now, you wanted her moved somewhere else? Maybe a little left or right? You can fix that right in Wicked Whims. Click on your sim, click Wicked, and then in the Wicked menu, click “Actions.” In Actions, click “Enable Positioning.” This will bring up a very intuitive positioning system that lets you move your sim, rotate your sim, even elevate your sim if you need to. Its super cool. When you sim is positioned as you'd like, Click the purple dot menu and then click “Disable Positioning.”

An extra bonus form posing sims in WW is that if you go into Build Buy mode, they will remain posed as you left them when you go back into live mode. CAS mode will still make them leave their pose though.

*Note: The positioning UI will stay where your sim originally began their pose. If you want to move your sim WAY across the map using this UI, @surely-sims has pointed out that you can use the TOOL mod on the purple dot of this positioning UI and move the UI itself across the map too. Neat trick!

Wicked Whims Specific Notes:

If you would like to use Wicked Whims and still have access to Fashion Authority or MCCC while posed, you need to click the following: Wicked → Settings → Sex Settings → Other Settings → Vanilla Interactions Switch.

Wicked Whims also has a built in functionality that can act like the MCCC Dresser trick I mentioned above. This is called “Instant Undress.” To enable this outside of sexual acts, you need to click the following: Wicked → Settings → Sex Settings → Cheats → Global Instant Undressing Switch. After activating this, you can click Actions under the Wicked Menu, Instant Undress, and have the option to remove accessories, change outfits and so on.

If you have access to and are using the PATREON release of Wicked Whims, there is a camera mode you can use to take candid images of sims with full control of the camera location and no camera needed. This comes with the SimHub functionality that appears to be only for Patrons at this time. You can have a sim take posed photos of themselves by clicking “Naked Photo (Posed)” – these will be the in game poses that you can sort through. If you would like to take photos of your sim in custom poses, you need to click “Naked Photo.”

To unlock the ability to take photos of sims who are dressed (not just nudes), you need to click the following: Wicked → Nudity Settings → SimHub Settings → Non-Naked Pictures Switch AND Unlock Camera Movement (Experimental) .

Any Other Useful Tips?

Screenshot Tricks and Composition Workshop. This is a frankly amazing Sims 4 “edutainment” stream-made-video made by the even more amazing @surely-sims. This video covers how to pose, a number of posing tips and ticks, and how to make a screenshot tell a story all by itself. Camera Position Hot Keys and Tab Mode. Did you know you can set a hot key to save a camera position? If you need to go in and out of Tab mode while posing and you want that camera angle to remain the same, you should try saving the camera position. Its useful for all kinds of screenshot tips. @surely-sims spends quite a bit of time talking about this and various uses in the above video if you need ideas or demonstration. @pictureamoebae wrote a lovely tutorial about tab mode and camera position hot keys to get you started.

Organizing Poses. Poses always seem to show up in the most random order in the posing list. Did you know you can organize them? Using Sims 4 Studio, you can open each pose package and change the name of the pose – that name section inside the package? The poses in your game show up alphabetically based on that. This only works for in-game poses, not CAS poses! This player has made an awesome tutorial on how to organize your poses.

Clickable Worlds. If you enjoy using the T.O.O.L. Mod to move sims into wild photo opportunity places, awingedllama has created a mod that allows you to click anywhere in the environment around you. You could combine this with T.O.O.L. mod tricks to move your sims to all kinds of places for photo shoots. Clickable Worlds

Special Effects. This one is a silly note, but maybe not well known. If you own Get Famous, there is a fun special effects machine that allows you to have everything from confetti, fall leaves, money, all the way to meatballs falling from the ceiling. Its a fun addition you can use for your own sims photo shoots. To do this, you need the ceiling part called “Plumbob Pictures Home Special Effects Machine.” The controller is called, “Effectively Effective Stage Effects Control Desk.”

Another option to get easy modded access to special effects is to use Ravasheen’s Side FX - Visual Effects Player.

The ISO Love Photos Camera. You DO NOT NEED a sim to be a photographer to use this camera. Meaning, the sim you have posed? They can take the picture of themselves. I set this camera up on a tripod and use it all the time. It does not need to be on a tripod, but keep in mind it will take photos at whatever height its is sitting. If its on the floor, you get floor shots. If its on the coffee table, you get coffee table height pictures.

The Photographic Memory Photo Spawner Mod. You can make those nice in game photos you just took into pictures you can hang with tape or tacks, calendars, paintings, even cross stitch images! A few things i like to do in my free time to help me visualise my Drs

This is all a bunch of stuff i do in my free time anyway, so might as well playing around with it for shifting. It works for scripting, if you are not an artist, and want to picture your Dr self.

I am a very visual person, so it’s something that help me personally.

Life Makeover

This app is my obsession lately. It allow you to customise your character almost entirely. It’s definitely targeted more towards women, but i have seen people playing around with the character customisation to make it look more androgynous.

There is also a sims 4 like building feature. It’s not as great as the sims itself, but i managed to do a cute build. The proportions feels more realistic than the sims 4, and the general 3D and light quality is very nice for a mobile game, it’s very pretty to look at.

I recreated myself, since i don’t really change my appearance (outside the fact i am a fairy in pretty much all my drs). But it’s fun playing around with the outfits, what i would wear if i was in this universe, since there is a lot of fantasy outfit in the game.

The sims 4

I mentioned it earlier, I’m a big sims player. Every time i start a new script, i make a house or an apartment to visualise where i would live. Especially since the sims 4 base game is free now, you could just install aesthetic CC to make your dream house.

If you don’t like to build, there is plenty of option you can download in the gallery. A lot of the place I’m shifting to are fantasy setting, so i don’t always find good visualisation on Pinterest .

I made this apartment for me and my best friend MHA Dr, for our attempt on group shifting. I didn’t shift yet, bit she stayed in her DR for 3 days and she said the floor plan was pretty accurate. She just said the couch was different in her dr, but I’m pretty sure it’s because she didn’t like the one i chose 🤣

Of course the fun part of the sims is to create your dr self and your dr friends and see how they interact with each other. I created a save with the intention to channel my dr through it, if that makes sense.

I have seen some unexpected things playing out 😆

For exemple my Dr parents kept wanting to make more children, and did 2 without me controlling it, my mom called me telling me they were considering doing another kid, asking me what I think. I responded it was not really for me to decide and next time I saw her in the game…she was pregnant!

I think it makes sense, since I was making the perfect parents I never had, that they like parenting and having a full house, so now I consider it part of my script. I’m the oldest of four siblings now I guess.

Room Planner

Another app, for construction this time. You don’t have to pay to use it, the free version is just a little bit more limited. It’s meant for real life building, so the proportion reflect real life and you can find plenty of ikea furniture in the catalog.

That’s everything for apps, I’m sure it has been talked about before, but I hope it can give some inspiration to other shifters

Fandom: Hetalia (personified) Pairing: Arthur x Kat (EngUkr/UkrEng) Content Length: Solo Chapter (~2500 words)

Kat was sitting and flipping through a magazine, inspecting the different types of kitchen counters their favorite Swedish furniture store was trying to tempt them with. She pensively looked over the back of the armchair she was sitting in and mentally pictured the different options. Arthur glanced up from the dishes, noticed Kat looking in his direction, and turned off the water, thinking she called him.

“Hm? What did you say, love?”

“Oh, no. I didn't say anything, dear. I was picturing what light yellow countertops would look like in our kitchen. Arthur looked over his shoulder at the kitchen island and frowned, unable to picture it himself. He dried his hands with the nearby kitchen towel and walked over to her to get a better idea.

“Let me see what it looks like.” He squinted as he looked at the catalog and frowned again, trying to decipher what material the description said it was. “What’s it made of?”

“It says marble, but it looks too good to be true to be quality marble.” Kat took the glasses off her head and handed them to him so he could see the image better.

“Mm.” He placed the glasses on the tip of his nose to look down at the showroom example then looked over his glasses at the kitchen island. He scrunched his face. “I don't know. Wouldn't it be a bit much?”

“Yeah, but it’s brighter than what we have right now. What if we painted the cabinets like this? It might look cool.”

“Mm, it would be brighter, I suppose, but it won't match the appliances.” Arthur reached into his pocket, hoping to silence the annoying ringing quickly. He looked at the caller ID and groaned.

“Is it Alfred again?”

“M’yeah. You want to talk to him?”

“He's calling you, sweetheart.”

“Fine,” Arthur picked up the call and didn't even have to say hello when his brother started asking him a question.

“-and I’m completely lost with it. I've been staring at it for so long, that I literally have no clue what it is.”

“First of all, hello. A proper greeting is how you commonly start any conversation.”

“Dude, I knew it was you from the moment you grunted.”

“I didn't grunt-”

“Listen, I need your help.”

“What do you need my help with this time?” Arthur rolled his eyes and sat down on the arm of the armchair. Kat continued flipping through the catalog, listening in to the conversation. Alfred spoke loud enough that they never needed to put the phone on speaker.

“I was thinking, like, who's the smartest person I know. And I called up dozens of my friends, but they're all jerks and not helping me because they said “I’m a cheater if I ask them”. So, I have to figure it out myself.”

“They're probably right, but what do you need help with?”

“And like they-”

“Al, I'm going to hang up.” Arthur handed the phone to Kat, feeling his patience run thin.

“No wait wait wait!”

“Hi, honey. What do you need help with?” Kat propped the phone with her shoulder and continued examining the different types of cabinet door knobs, hoping something would catch her eye.

“Hey, Kat! So, listen. I'm trying to figure out this word on today’s Wordle and I'm down to one guess and, like, no matching letters.”

“What is today’s Wordle? What is that?” She looked up at Arthur to see if he knew about it, but he looked confused himself.

“I don't know. That’s why I’m calling.”

“No, I mean what is a ‘Wordle’?”

“You don't know what Wordle is?! Oh, man. I gotta download it for you guys. You're gonna love it.”

“Is it something for the phone?”

“Yeah yeah. It's like an app on the phone. You can play the game on it.”

“So.. it's a game that you play on your phone?”

“Yeah, yeah. Like the birds and the bombs game that Artie had on his phone. But this one is with words. You have to guess what the word is with 6 guesses. Every day is a different word.”

“Oh okay. Are you struggling with today’s word?”

“Yeah!! I'm stuck on it and I don't want to cheat, but like I don't wanna lose my streak either. If I don't guess this word, I'm gonna lose!! Then my friends are going to make fun of me that I'm stupid.”

Arthur chuckled, thinking he didn't need a game to tell him the obvious.

“Alright. Well, what letters did you try?”

“Oh, hold up. I can just send you a screenshot.”

Kat flinched as a loud ding went off in her ear. She looked at the screen and saw a message from him, but it quickly disappeared. She put the phone back to her ear and came in mid-sentence. “Sorry. Could you repeat that?”

“Yeah, so the yellow ones mean that the letter is in the word, but not in that position. The green ones are the letters with the correct placement in the word. Gray ones are just wrong.”

“Green correct, yellow almost… Okay. I think I got it.”

“Sweet!! What do you think it is?”

“Oh. I didn't… I haven't looked at the message yet. We’ll take a look and call you back.”

“Okay, but can you do it before midnight?”

“...Is that when the word changes?”

“Yeah.”

Kat looked at the clock and gasped. “We’ll call you back in 9.” She quickly hung up and turned to Arthur with a fired-up look in her eyes. “We have to help your brother with the game.”

Arthur sighed, “Alright. Let’s go..” How could he say no to her? He walked over to the bookcase, picked up the scratch pad and a pen, and walked over to the kitchen island where Kat swiftly sat down to figure this out.

“What letters did he use?” Arthur asked as he sat beside her, leaning over slightly to get a glimpse at his brother’s attempts. As Arthur suspected, his brother was not very bright in this department. He had managed to list five types of foods and guess none of the letters other than an ‘e’ and an ‘r’ and even those letters were not in the right spots. “Oh, this is horrendous. It could be anything.”

Kat contemplated the combinations and quickly became overwhelmed by the time crunch. She had hoped this would be a bit easier, but Alfred did not make it so. All his words were food-related. His word options were very poorly chosen, given that he was probably thinking on an empty stomach. Kat chewed on her bottom lip.

After scribbling down a couple of options, Arthur put down the pen and looked at his fellow detective. “This is impossible, Kat. He has two of the most common letters and they’re not even in the correct spaces. It could be anything.” Her brows were furrowed together, giving her a look reminiscent of a grouchy bunny. As adorable as it looked on her, he knew she was getting frustrated. “Why don’t we just look up the word and tell him we figured it out? He doesn’t know any better anyways.”

“No, we can’t cheat. That’s against the rules.”

“These rules are not real.”

“We have to follow the rules, Arthur. A man’s reputation is on the line.”

“Alfred will be fine.”

“I meant you, sweetie.”

“Me?”

“Yeah, what’s gonna happen when you can’t solve it? Alfred will think you’re stupid too. I can’t have him thinking that. There has to be a smart man in the family and if it's not him, it has to be you.” He blinked. Damn it. She was right, his reputation was indeed on the line. He couldn’t let his brother down now, but he knew there was no way he’d discover the needle in the haystack. Arthur began to take the game a bit more seriously now.

“I got it!” Kat exclaimed.

"What? How?" Arthur looked at her in astonishment. What did she know that he didn’t? How did she figure it out? Was she a mind reader of some sort? She opened the phone and dialed Alfred, putting the phone to her ear.

“Did you get it?!” Alfred asked with urgency.

“No, but can you download the app on Arthur’s phone?” Ahh. Arthur now had a better understanding of his wife's thought process. He quickly came to terms that she was in fact smarter than him. Maybe not to the extent of guessing the word from the first and only try...

“Oh yeah!! I got Artie’s phone connected to my account. Hold on.” Kat sighed in relief as she found a way to solve it without cheating. Technically. She gave Arthur a thumbs up and he nodded back at her. Arthur admired her determination to win. “It downloaded.”

“Perfect! We’ll call you back!” Kat hung up and immediately opened up the app and attempted to quickly skip through the offers and tutorials while trying to find the ‘Wordle’ section. Kat and Arthur spent three of five of the remaining minutes trying out letters and were stumped when they ended up with three letters and no more guesses left. They didn't even notice the correct word appear on screen after all that.

Kat clenched her fists and the little forehead dimple reappeared. “What do we do..?” As Kat panicked, she watched Arthur attempt to make words with the letters they did figure out.

“I think… I think we might have to admit defeat.” Arthur took off his glasses and rubbed his tired eyes, ready to give up. Kat dialed Alfred once more and waited for him to pick up. The duo jumped at the sudden pop sound of the plastic dish soap bottle piercing through the silence.

“Oh my god.”

“Well, that scared the shit out of me.” Arthur exhaled, unnerved by the suddenness of it. Kat could almost say that it was eerie.

“Kat!” Alfred finally picked up. “Please tell me you got it.”

“Try ‘eerie’.” Arthur’s head swiveled to meet his wife’s face, not a dent above her eyebrows in sight. Just a confident look and a twinkle of hope in her eyes. A grin slowly crept up on his face as he realized she had gotten it.

“How do you spell that?”

“E-E-R-I-E.”

There was a silence, an unpalpable silence as everyone waited.

“You guys…”

Kat didn’t like the tone in which he said those words. Her eyes darted to the wall clock and she gasped softly as she realized they were a couple of seconds too late. “I love you guys so much…” Alfred sniffled, his voice cracking.

“Noo! Oh, honey... I’m so sorry.” Kat closed her eyes in defeat. She had let him down.

“Wait, what?” Alfred asked, his voice abruptly returning to normal. “What do you mean ‘sorry’? You got the word. I was just being dramatic.”

“What?! We did?!” Kat jumped out of her seat and cheered, letting her excitement echo through the quiet house. Normally, Arthur would discourage the noise, but he figured she deserved her moment. She kissed him and excitedly rattled her fists. Arthur smiled softly as he soaked in the visual of his beautiful lady as she experienced joy in its purest form. It felt like he was falling in love with her all over again.

“We should do the next one!” Kat looked at the phone and realized she was still on the call with Alfred. “Oh! Alfred. Are you still there? Oh my gosh, I got so swept up in the moment that I didn’t realize you were still there. Do you want to do the next one together?”

“Oh, no worries, Kat. I already solved it.” Kat paused her celebratory moment, confused by his words. “You already solved it? How? It just changed.”

“I got it on the first try somehow. Lucky me, I guess, right?”

“On the first try?!” Kat gasped.

Arthur’s smile dropped as he realized this was a far worse scenario than the one they were dealing with ten minutes ago. This time they had no clues, a whole 24 hours, and an entire Alfred to compete against. He knew she would not rest until she got it. And until that moment happened, Alfred was officially the smartest person they knew. Arthur motioned for her to give him the phone and she did.

“Can you believe it?!” She said as she handed the phone to him.

“Alfred.”

“Hey, Artie! Would you believe that I got it from the first-”

“Yeah, yeah. First try. Whatever. Delete the app.”

“Huh?”

“Delete it from my phone. We are not doing this again.”

“What? No way!” Kat tried to take the device back from him, but he took hold of her hand and kissed it, keeping her from getting involved.

“Kat, love. I’m on the phone with my brother.”

Kat scoffed, offended by his audacity to just rip this new fixation out of her grasp. She decided to go pout in a more comfortable place.

“Artie, you gotta do that on your own. I can’t do it on my end.” Arthur’s eyes followed Kat as she plopped herself back on the leather chair, pulled her knees to her side, and mindlessly flipped through the magazine again. This time, each flip was more aggressive than the last. He chuckled at her reaction.

“How do I do it?” Arthur asked.

“You’re gonna have to press the app and hold it until it gets all wiggly. Then press the ‘x’ and delete it.”

“Thank you. I’ll do that now.”

“Man, Artie. You’re so dumb.”

“Excuse me??”

“You can’t work your phone. You even had Kat figure things out for you.”

Arthur’s face fell flat at his brother’s lovely observation.

“Good night, Alfred.” He hung up the call and walked back over to Kat, giving her a kiss on her temple, which she did not react to, but did not flinch away from.

“I’m mad at you.” Kat started.

“I know. But you were going to get frustrated even before you began. Alfred has set an unreachable standard and you know it’ll be impossible to figure it out without cheating or losing your mind.”

She humphed at his remark and suddenly got interested in something on the page. Arthur looked at her for a moment, admiring the gentle yet versatile features of her face, then looked at what she was looking at.

“What did you discover this time?”

“White-tile countertops.”

“Huh. These might look quite nice. I do wonder if-”

“Great,” Kat smiled and looked up at him, closing the catalog as quickly as she had opened it. She didn't even give him a chance to envision it or even finish his sentence. “Then we’ll get them for our kitchen.” That... was a fast decision.

“Of course. Whatever you’d like.” He grinned back, confused as to why she was suddenly smiling after pouting. Did white tiles bring her that much happiness? She was so simple. Well, anything for her to be happy.

She got up, kissed him on the cheek, and cutely said, “Thank you, my love.”

He looked at her confused, his smile morphing into a more concerned one. Arthur knew something was up. She had gotten something she wanted with an ulterior motive and he easily caved in.

“Have a good night.” She walked over to the staircase, where she helped him out with his thought process by adding, ‘Oh, by the way, they also come in yellow and green’ as she walked up the stairs.

“Katherine! We are not turning our kitchen into a giant word game!”

“And you’re not going to bed until the dishes are all done.”

“Damn it!” Arthur sighed, frustratingly returning to the sink. She won again.

Buy Mode ♥ Hide in Catalog

Hello, I’m back! Here is the set of buy mode hiders that I had been working on, but never completed. Despite that, I had made a lot of headway through several of the packs, so I felt like it was a waste not to post them. Hopefully I haven’t missed anything! Please feel free to use this as a base for your own creations, just make sure to tag me so I can reblog you!

Everything is organized into folders so you can easily choose what things you want to keep, and what you want to hide. No more scrolling through huge lists of walls, floors, doors, windows, furniture, clutter, etc. that you don’t use, waiting for it all to load!

But before you download, here’s how to use these files ~

What this mod doesn’t do …

Hide any CC, such as recolors, that use these meshes or files. They will appear as normal.

Delete, hide, or make invisible anything that has already been placed, or is included with premade lots such as ones from the Gallery.

Delete any files from your game or computer. It just hides them!

What this mod will conflict with …

Anything that replaces or overrides the same items that are included in this file.

An easy way to tell if you have conflicting mods is to run the Package Conflict Detector program which will easily tell you if there’s a problem.

How do I unhide something?

Open the .package file in Sims4Studio to double-check it’s the item you want to keep. (optional)

Delete the .package file.

The item will now be displayed in the build / buy catalog again.

How do I unhide only certain swatches of something?

Method 1:

Open the .package file in Sims4Studio.

Click on the swatch you want to unhide and click “Remove Swatch” in the upper right hand corner.

Remember to save!

The item will now be displayed in the build / buy catalog again.

Method 2:

This method is slightly more complex, but this is normally what I use as it allows me to change the categories, tags, price, etc. on the item as if it were CC. It will appear in your game with the CC mark on it. It also means if you would like to return to hiding the file, you can just delete the cloned file instead of redownloading this mod to get the full hider to use again.

Open Sims4Studio.

Under the “Object” section, select “Standalone Recolor”.

Find the object you wish to keep. You can type the item’s title in the search bar to find it easily. Click the thumbnail, then click “Next” on the bottom right.

Type a title for the .package file and click “Save”.

You will be taken to a screen where you can freely edit the object’s title, description, price, categories, tags, etc. You can delete the swatches you don’t want on the top bar.

Click on the swatch(es) you don’t want and click “Remove Swatch” in the upper right hand corner.

Remember to save!

The cloned item will now be displayed in the build / buy catalog along with your customizations.

Included in this publication are the restoration of objects from the apartments of Their Majesties, including this surviving jardinière grille. I’ve translated the text as it originally is in Russian. Stadler ________________________________________________________________ “During the restoration work, all kinds of dirt were removed, the deformation of parts was eliminated, the lost fasteners were replenished. To solve the problem of restoration of the lattice surface and overhead parts (significant scuffs and scratches of the paint layer) a number of studies have been conducted to establish the original appearance of the object. It was revealed that the relief pads in the form of rosettes and palmettes are made of gilded brass, but subsequently painted over with silver paint in the color of the lattice surface. The openwork metal lattice is part of one of the two floor jardinieres that were part of the decoration of the Maple Living Room of Empress Alexandra Feodorovna. Indoor plants were placed in tubs in them, creating green zones of fresh flowers. Their wooden base was made of gray maple, as well as all the built-in furniture with a carved mezzanine and stairs. During the war, a significant part of the interior decoration was damaged; the preserved metal part of one of the jardinieres will again take its historical place after the restoration of the wooden base.” ________________________________________________________________
