He's the 4th actor announced, right after Anthony Mackie who came in 3rd.

This doesnt seem like it makes chronological sense with in the current MCU? Unless all of Doomsday is a "flashback story leading to a cliffhanger start of the conflict" story?

Ruth states he's "Future Congressman" in BNW. He mentions he's campaigning to Sam.

BNW takes place April 2027.

If he ran in 2026 when Ross was running, he would have already been sworn in and not a "future congressman".

He's called "Senator Barnes" in Thunderbolts, right? That means a 6 yr seat, which could mean it was a odd year election or a special election considering prior to BNW you'd have had Secret Invasion be a whole other political can of worms?

The times don't add up. Btwn BNW, Elections, "less than half a term in office" and the 14 month time skip, realistically MCU should be in mid 2030?
