How do I avoid my Pokemon getting too spoiled on "people food"? I don't want to feed them just kibble but I also don't want them to develop a taste for people food to the point where they don't want their kibble.
Fruits and vegetables are fine to add to a pokemons diet for variety. The ones you want to avoid are processed foods with large amounts of fat, sugar or salt. You can find all sorts of fun recipes online for pokemon treats that are perfectly fine for "sometimes foods".
Here's one I found for you to get you started!
2 cups oats 2 medium sized nanab berries Half a cup peanut butter
Preheat your oven to 150 C Grind the oats in a food processor until they're a fine powder. Add nanab berries and peanut butter and blend until a sticky dough forms.
Turn out onto a floured surface and roll out flat, cutting into shapes using whichever cutter you prefer.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
These last up to 2 weeks in a sealed container in the fridge.
It's great that you want to keep their diets varied. Kibble is a good food source and there's many types, but a monotonous diet can make a pokemon swiftly bored and more likely to try and sneak food they shouldn't.

Easy Homemade Dog Treats!
All it takes is banana, peanut butter, and oats and you can make these cute cookies for your pup, or for a doggy friend of yours. Not only are these easy to make, but they are so much more affordable than store-bought treats and dogs LOVE them!
Easy Homemade Dog Treats!
Servings: 40 (Makes about 40 treats depending on the cookie cutter size)
Ingredients
2 cups oats (old fashioned, 1-minute oats, or instant) plus more if needed- see step 3
2 medium ripe bananas
½ cup natural peanut butter
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 300F (150C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Add the oats to a food processor and grind until they reach a fine powder. (If you do not have a food processor, see the recipe notes for other options). Add the bananas and peanut butter and blend until a sticky dough is formed.
Remove from the food processor and roll out on a lightly floured surface. (Use whole wheat flour, more ground oats, or another dog-safe flour that you have on hand). I used a heart cookie cutter to cut out the treats but you could use any cookie cutter, or just cut them into squares with a knife or pizza cutter.
Lay the treats on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the treats are puffed up a bit, dry and dark brown on the bottoms, (they will still feel soft when first removed from the oven). The treats will get a bit more firm once they are cool but will still be a slightly softer dog treat. Let cool before giving one to your pup.
Store in an air-tight container at room temperature for up to 1 week, in the fridge for up to 2 weeks, or I like to store them in my freezer which makes them firmer and makes them stay fresh a long time.
Notes
If you do not have a food processor, you can still make these treats. Grind the oats up in a blender or coffee grinder, then add the ground oats to a bowl with the peanut butter and mashed banana and mix to make a dough. Or you could buy oat flour and use that instead. You will need less oat flour as it is denser, so start with 1 cup and add more as needed.

Juno has been going through dog treats like I go through mental breakdowns, so I decided to make some of our own!
I was getting a bit concerned that she was eating a lot of crap, because the crap is what she works for. Normal crunchy kibble? Bleh, that’s boring! Why would she heel for a piece of bland breakfast?
So here’s my haphazard recipe for “Juno’s stimky limver delight”
⚠️ Fair warning, this shit STANKY so open a window! ⚠️
Step 1: blend a pack of liver! We used lambs liver. Don’t ask the weight, I don’t have the cognitive function to make notes of these things. Just much liver as you can stomach blending! Don’t forget to use the nasty myoglobin that the liver sits in! Yum. I also rinsed the packet and poured the bloody water into the bowl.
Step 2: sprinkle in some flour to thicken up that disgusting paste and mix it all in! You can blend it, or fold it. As long as it’s a nice thick pasty substance with no floury lumps.
Step 3: add a dash of oil to help it all bond! I wanted to use eggs for this, but alas, no egg! Next time I will try two eggs instead of a dash of oil to keep it healthier. Add some more flour if it’s looking a lil sloppy.
Step 4: here’s your chance to add some extras if you so wish! Chicken bits? Peanut butter? Tiny chunks of kibble? Whatever floats your boat. I had some bacon in the fridge that needed using, so I chopped two slices of bacon into tiny pieces to add some flavour. We need high value for results and bacon will do it!
Step 5: scrape that smelly mess into a baking tray and spread it out evenly. Mine was spread maybe 2 cm thick, if you want some chonky treats maybe try a smaller, deeper dish and bake through for longer. Line with foil or baking paper if you don’t have anything non-stick, like I did.
Step 6: bake for 12-15 minutes!
Step 7:
Don’t forget to lick the spatula!
Step 8: Remove from the baking cavity most commonly known as an oven, and leave in a safe place to cool.
Step 9: taste test!
✅ Juno approved
Step 10: cut into tiny snacc sized pieces and pop them in an airtight container to store in the fridge.
And voila! You now have a slightly healthier and cheaper alternative to training treats! EMJOY

Fish For Dogs
I know not everybody fishes or eats fish, but even store bought fish and a little work is cheaper than dog treats. Since my dog loves fish and I'm in a fish mood and fishy dog stuff is expensive, I'm here to share the wonders of fish.
Be warned you will save money at the expense of your house smelling fishy.
I'm Using This As A Metric
Walmart Tilapia
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Great-Value-Frozen-Whole-Tilapia-3-lb/743729207
Because, they're already scaled and gutted (hard and annoying parts) plus walmart is easier to get to than a fishing spot.
Note that different fish have different nutrients.
Basic Order Of Operations
1. Lob the head and tail off, and put aside
2. Fillet the fish
3. Deskin the fillets
Now, you as a human can also prepare the fish for your consumption and still get dog benefits.
The Dog Treat Parts
Skin Chews
This fish is already descaled, so what you need to do is cut the skin off and stick it in the dehydrator / oven and the fish has already paid for itself. According to the fact that 3, 5in Tilapia Skin Roll Fieldcrest chews are $12 on Chewy.
Fillets
You can cook these for human consumption if you want, or unseason for dogs.
Alternatively, you can cut them into small pieces and use the dehydrator or oven to make jerky treats.
I find that dehydrated treats last a long time in a sealed jar.
Broth
Remember the head and tail you discarded? Perhaps the spine and any bits you couldn't get bones out of?
Throw them in a pot and simmer. I tend to simmer for an hour or so with my main goal getting meat out. Then, strain and pour the broth into jars. Seal and place in fridge once cooled. Human grade advice is it lasts about a week, can freeze for longer.
I like using broth to hydrate kibble or make gross ice cubes.
You can add other things like carrots into the broth to get them that good fish flavor and to flavor the broth.
Kibble Topper
The fish pieces from the broth should be very tender now. You can use a fork or your hands to seperate meat from bone. This way, you don't waste any meat and already have cooked meat for your dog.
I use it as a kibble topper because it is tender and kind of mushy it doesn't make great treats.
If you found making a fillet hard, you can just simmer the whole fish if you really wanted to.
If you simmered the entire fish and now just have a bunch of soft fish meat, you can add flour and an egg to it and bake dog treats.
Gross Bonus
Rub a dog toy on the fish for some scent enrichment. Preferably one you can wash.
What about the bones?
Don't give them to your dog. If you want a use for all your fish waste, I recommend throwing it in the garden / compost. You will never have a nicer plant than one you burried a fish next to.

people who like dogs are the WOOOORST. you’ll read any news about a violent crime and as long as a dog is even mentioned people will ask about the dog before the HUMAN VICTIM WHO IS MOST OFTENTIMES A PERSON OF COLOR.
It's not even like, liking dogs, like I love dogs but at the end of the day...they are an animal. An animal that bloody well kills people to death. Quite frequently still actually!
Like I'm just baffled and concerned by people who refuse to understand that? Like, your typical dog is only a couple steps down from wolf. But every single time I go somewhere, I will see dogs practically dragging their owners around like ragdolls and I just. Every time, I need a moment to process that. Because if you can't even walk your dog without risking it pulling you on your face or into traffic, that is a serious problem and probably only the tip of the issues going on there.
Like bloody hell. I grew up rural, where hunting invasive pigs is a pretty common pastime and/or job, and most of the time, hunters use dogs. Dogs that will absolutely fully rip those pigs to shreds. Most of those hunters also have young children! And not a single one of the hunters, has had a child mauled or killed by one of their dogs.
But people with the exact same breed of dogs have had children, pets, fucking electricians and postal workers, mauled and killed by their dogs. And the only real difference is the owners.
And I honestly, genuinely think there's some kind of overarching problem with the way society views dogs as these...loyal fur babies that can do no wrong. They're not! And honestly, genuinely, people who are unable to train their dogs properly because it 'hurts their feelings to be mean sometimes' should not own dogs. For everyone's safety. At the very least nothing bigger or more aggressive than a Charles spaniel.
#Not ml#Dogs#Death ment#Like fuck#Seriously#Like I would trust a hunters dog over the Dane that lives across the street that is treated better than the humans own babies#Like if a dog owner is unwilling to pull their dog up when it does something as mild as pulling on a lead?#They are gonna be unable to pull their dog up when it goes to kill something#That's just how it works#Don't get me wrong I love dogs they're amazing#I have several and I usually spend parties in the corner with the dog#But an untrained dog with a human that babies them? A recipe for disaster#I've got several dogs. One is an ex hunting dog and he's genuinely just a lump of cuddles#But that is because he is trained damn it#Fuck man#Asks#Anonymous
