inspired by that political leanings of british childhood-stories animals post that was going round, I downloaded The Wind in the Willows audiobook from the library , because that was one of my absolute favourites as a kid and it is.

It is so much less charming as a socially and politically aware adult. Eight year old me wanted to be Badger; 20-something year old me thinks that Toad should Sit In Prison and Think About What He's Done.
