I mean come on!! 🥺 they'd be perfect for a pink colorway Hobie cosplay! You'd just need pink shirts and a pink suit

Both beats created on the Akai MPC one standalone, final touch mixing done in Ableton Live. Analog gear such as the Korg MS-20 Mini was used for all synth bass sounds. A Casio lookalike keyboard from 1984 called Gem PX7 was used for lo-fi chords.

Inspired by the early 2000s era of indie dance house and techno music done by Ed Banger collective, such as Justice, SebastiAn etc.

What Diane and Hobie did today

Diane threw Hobies one-night-stand into a river (is that wrong?)

Diane came over in the early morning not knowing Hobie's one night stand was still over and she TRIED to be nice and was like damn I was just cooking is for breakfast but I can put some on for you but NO

this girl wanna get rude and call her Diana AND she had on Diane's blue-purple silk palazzo pants (she was like I don't wanna do the walk of shame and I found these in his drawer-' and Diane was like 'nuh-uh go change'

Cause girl wth??????

So the girl goes to wake Hobie up while Diane gets her some shit to wear. Hobie goes downstairs to watch the food while she changes and Diane and her have a brief exchange

And Diane is just tryna be like 'girl you cannot be doing that that's crazy putting yourself in someones clothes' but then the girl questions Diane and it's like why are you here and she doesn't have an answer other than 'I have permission to be' cause like ??????

So she's done dressing and Diane goes downstairs to get the food and the girl pulls Hobie aside and is like "Ummmm ur gf" - he's like 'not my gf' - "umm she was really really rude to me and invasive asking about last night"

And Hobie is like "..uh-huh.." because no Diane did not but whatever. And he's not reacting how she wants so the girl is like "Can you just ask her to leave please?"

Hobie is like '????? She cooked us breakfast, are u mad' and now he's already irked and just wants her to go and he's like "nah I'm not doing that-"

So the girl starts mouthing off with some choice words about Diane - some of her exact words being (warning: profanity)

"If you're so excited to have that bimbo bitch suck you off at least wait until I'm not here,"

Immediately Hobie is like 'leave. you have to leave. And don't say nothing to Diane when you pass-" cause now he's dead serious let he wants her off his property

So the girl starts stomping downstairs and Diane is pulling out plates when the girl storms by and she's like "You not eating??" And the girl is like "No!" And Diane is like.. "Damn, okay girl bye" in like the most normal friendly way possible.

Homegirl turns around and starts screaming on Diane. Cursing her out from the bottom of her heart. And Diane is so shocked she lets go for like thirty seconds before she's like

"Girl. Shut the fuck up. Shut up."

Cause it's 7-8am???? And Diane is like

"I can't understand you why are you screaming"

And the girl continues her tirade. Mind you SHE'S STILL WEARING DIANE'S CLOTHES. Diane just gave her less nice clothes to wear. But this girl is basically pissed and in to deep and honestly just wants to fight Diane.

But Diane's goes "You can swim???"

And the girl is like 👀 what.

Hobie already going upstairs cause this has nothing to do with him what's about to happen

Diane asks again and the second she hears a 'y-' sound uses her Spider-strength to pick this girl up and take her to the front of the boat.

Hobie watching from the the 2nd floor deck as Diane just lobs this girl off the side of the boat like a shitty driver littering McDonald's out their window

They're on the river already docked but the girl still has to swim her us ass up to the dock. Meanwhile Diane is like keep the clothes :)))))

Then they had breakfast and mentioned it once, then did not speak of it at all.

They were having grits eggs and bacon btw. Hobie puts Heinz beans in his grits in case you were wondering.

Uh yeah but that's what happened today at the houseboat in my head. That's what they did today.

DISCOPUNK - Octobie Week #3 - Slice of Life

Well, that's one way to say 'thank you'. | Its tea time, innit. (Hobie x DiscoSpider Diane)

A.N: This was SO SO fun to draw and I'm really happy with how it came out :') - Also, I hid a lot of personal fanon-lore in this drawing so, here's some easter eggs below! As always, huge thanks to @the-kr8tor!

Easter Eggs:

Hobie lives on a boat with his lovely stray boatcats.

Hobie is proudly Jamaican (in my head).

His favorite colour is Green, though only Diane knows that.

Hobie didn't tell her, but somehow she managed to figure it out on her own.

Someone asked him, but before he could answer, she simply said 'Green'.

When he later asked her how she'd known, Diane told him it was obvious.

His carpet was green, and so was his bonnet, and his favorite shirt - to her it just made sense.

He calls her Duchess, since their first night out.

Diane sleeps with her guitar pick necklace on her left wrist.

She says she's afraid if she wears it to bed, it'll choke her to death in her sleep.

Hobie tells her that's not possible - considering she's superhuman. Green Goblin could hardly choke her out if he wanted to.

She doesn't believe him. She's 'not taking no chances'.

Diane only sleeps in high quality pastel pajama sets - with fuzzy socks to match. Hobie is the type of guy to turn any shirt into a 'sleep shirt' if he owns it long enough.

Diane likes her nails long, acrylic, and consistently manicured.

Hobie could never. After raiding Diane's extensive varnish collection, he paints every finger a different color. Sure, he could pick one. That's no fun, though!

When Hobie is enamored - or near Diane - his outline with turn her favorite color, pink!

Not only that, when Hobie's being a loverboy, pink origami hearts may start fluttering around his head - literally.

Diane knows Hobie's tea order by heart.

Another thing she'd learned by sheer observation.

Irish Breakfast tea, not British. One sugar, not too sweet, with the bag steeped a little too long.

He likes it 'her-coloured' - tea with just enough milk to match the tone of her skin. Anymore makes it taste 'like rubbish', in his opinion.

Hobie endorses tax evasion.

Sorry one and all, GR has just made me laugh out loud at the last line in his latest post “European domination by next summer”

He didn’t have European domination at his peak, they don’t like him, they’ve never liked him. Most Europeans don’t know he still exists. “Domination” 😂😂😂😂😆😆😆😆😆

I would bet it’s because they had a good time in Europe, which makes him happy because he deems Europe as “his”, and he is hoping to spend more time there next summer. But yeah, Bush or GR solo never really made it in the UK or Europe. If anything Bush was an annoying band. But I’m sure they have pockets of fans all over. Maybe someone more popular like Kate Bush or Danny Goffey will let Bush open for them. 😂 Btw. Danny Goffey presents Bryan Moone’s Discopunk, his 2023 album… really good album!

[imo] 'sir' is too British and daddy brings up dads-ownership-in-history type stuff

However I do think he'd actually really enjoy a partner that openly and willingly hands themselves over to him. Hobie being SUPER self sufficient and independent, I think it would catch him off guard at first to have a partner willing to sub especially so willingly -

I think he'd see it as a sign of real trust, and be touched a bit. I don't think he'd use sir or daddy, most likely another title but still the same function. Master is a bit loaded, but I think he'd like something unique and literal like director.

Or.... Or the sub calling him 'their hero', 'my hero' etc.

Cause calling yourself a hero makes you an autocrat. But your sub calling you a hero is just the truth.

Or OR - him using traditional pet names but he's very strict about it. ie, calling him 'my love' or some other term of deep respect/affection- however you HAVE to finish or begin the statement with that or else it's punishment.

'my love, may i-' or

'thank you'

'thank you, who?'

'thank you, my love.'

i personally say no bc that’s a label and he doesn’t believe in labels but he also doesn’t believe in consistency so maybe he does on a random tuesday night. does this really matter? no but also yes c:
