Luxury consumption on metaverse

Hey!

I am doing a study about luxury fashion consumption on metaverse and games for my Master Thesis.

Basically, i need people who have experience in games and metaverse that ususally buy luxury clothes for their avatars to answer to my anonymous survey.

The survey is completely safe and anonymous and no personal data is required. One thing about The Substance I don't know if anyone has discussed yet; I think it's very interesting that in her younger persona, Elisabeth-as-Sue applies Clinique bullet lipstick, a brand typically associated with older women (while Black Honey is a cross-generational hit, the brand as a whole is associated with women 30 and above, and the product used was a red bullet lipstick in any case.)

Meanwhile, Elisabeth-as-Elisabeth, off to meet a former high school classmate for drinks, applies an unseen lipstick with a brush, then pauses and adds Dior Lip Oil on top, a product that - while from a prestige brand - got very abruptly popular among young-skewing social media like TikTok.

Two lip products with very different associations, especially with regards to age. I just think that's really fun!

he may seem nonchalant on the outside but boy he was panicking inside. he tries not to show it but his shaky hands when shaking your father’s hands says it all. your mother notices his behaviour of course as she tells him that she was thankful of how he’s always there for you (this made rin tense out of pride and also a bit of embarassment) as he nods in response. he doesn’t talk much but did answered all the questions your parents shot at him.

your father has his doubts of course but when he accidently overhears him telling you to give gifts that he bought for your parents (because he was too shy to do so) made your father changed his perspectives of him almost immediately.

narcissa in canon is defined by her role as a mother in a similar way to lily, but she is a mother who is present and therefore is able to disappoint; who sends her son sweets in the mail, but fails to protect him from joining a cult at sixteen….she is so interesting precisely because of those contradictions. she is the devoted wife & mother, ensnared by the same black family allegiances & obligations as the others, but she fights to create her own paradise within that aristocratic hellscape while still obeying its rules. she wants her cake and to eat it too. to belong to a crumbling, stifling magical dynasty and still raise a son turns out okay. her house is her domain (“this is my house, bella, you don’t give orders in my…”), it’s the small bit of power she’s carved out for herself. and you’ll have to pry it out of her cold dead hands.

A beauty advisor are most of the girls who help you on the floor or register.

A prestige beauty advisor helps you mainly in the big name brands (Dior, Chanel, Mac etc) but they can help around the whole store as well.

You can also be on the truck team so you would come in at night or early in the morning to unload truck or just fill the shelves when there is no truck.

You could also be a lead cashier meaning you stay at the register, and you have the ability to override prices and stuff

And then they have a guest coordinator for salon where you check guests in, help clean salon, and make salon orders

but yes, and not just with kids. social media has made it so people can learn from others which brands actually work and what's worth spending money on. that's obviously not going to be the kylie jenner, kim kardashian, harry styles, and so on, grifting money grabbing brands who aren't designed to contain good ingrediants and to be affordable and long term for people. they're designed to create a huge mark up for the owner (harry, kim, kylie, influencer name here).

The thing about KTHs being angry about him dating Jennie specifically is very true. I’ve seen some ship him with Han Sohee and got so excited when they saw her hanging out with wooga at that premiere Taekook went to. I think it’s because she’s seen as a prestigious “classy” actress, in line with who they think tae is. Which is hilarious because judging by his friends alone, it’s clear tae is just a rich fuck boy. I'm not glorifying anything because it's just rich people stuff that has 0 impact in my life, but I know how the industry works and the scale of relevancy is definitely tipped on Dior/Tiffany's side. And I know how Taehyung stans think (since they impose it on everyone); they definitely thought Jimin is not worthy of the deals he got or the activities he's been doing, so they had to come up with something to try and defame Jimin. Since they couldn't do that because they have nothing on him, they said "okay I guess defaming pjms will be enough".

I think she believed they could setup a royal court in California and money would come to them…without having to work for it. Does Meghan expect more from Harry at this point?Harry married Meghan because he believed she loved him and together, they could live a life away from England and achieve wealth beyond what Harry could attain as the second son of the King. Harry’s believed in Meghan’s plan to generate deals and big money off their royal status. I am sure she had him convinced that it was unfair he could not have half the Duchy of Cornwall and he deserved any money they earned trading off the Royal Family. Additionally, it seems Harry is not capable of creating more income streams beyond his book Spare.Meanwhile, Netflix and Spotify signed them, completely unaware how incompetent and talentless they really are. Both companies probably thought they were signing legitimate royal insiders with access to the remaining royals. Now, snubbed by the prestige of The Emmy Awards. Snubbed by the iconic House of Dior. It seems obvious their star power as royals living in California is non-existent. Is the Folie A Deux coming to an end for one or both of them?
