I've been quietly trying to work on a Digimon Adventure 25th anniversary art project where I make a piece for each episode depicting a memorable moment.

Episode 10 aired 25 years ago on May 9th, so here's a piece of Mimi and Izzy connecting in the maze ruins. :)

So, About Digimon Adventure -BEYOND-, official tweet from Toei:

"Digimon Adventure -BEYOND- is a special music video that will commemorate the anniversary with brand new animation".

Not a new movie. Not a finale to any trilogy. A music video.

Even the tweet's art with english text says so.

25th Anniversary Short Video. Announced to premiere at the next Digimon Con.

Seems there's a bit of confusion about this and even I got confused about it so, this seems to be the most accurate information?

The thing I love about that 25th anniversary video is that you can finally see everyone's faces in this scene. It always bugged me that everyone was so obscured during the goodbye.

Finale Project for Digimon Adventure 25th Anniversary has been announced - DIGIMON ADVENTURE BEYOND.

A new PV set to the song Brave Heart developed by Yumeta Company (Studio for Kizuna, 02TB, new Adventure PV) featuring Taichi and friends as adults will be released at Digimon Con in March 2025.

Adventure and 02 director Hiroyuki Kakudo will return as the in charge for this new animation with Rie Nishimura (Kizuna/02TB) in charge of the of character designs.

Taichi and Yamato’s designs drawn by Kakudo and a poster featuring a scene from the PV were revealed at NYCC.

He also left the following comment:

I wanted to thank you all a little for your support, so I have decided to make this video. It has been a while since I have worked on storyboards for Taichi and his friends.

It won't be very long, but you will see Agumon and their team working together a little differently than before.

I think it will be especially pleasing to all of you who have always believed that you have a partner Digimon as well.

On this day 25 years ago, episode 11 of Digimon Adventure aired in Japan.

This episode was wonky getting brought overseas and lost things in translation, but was still fun regardless. As much as I wanted Ikkakumon and Birdramon fighting Bakemon in here, I feel like Joe was really the center of this episode so I gave him the spotlight.
