I love it when you learn peculiar things about your favourite driver when you watch his races whole. For instance, I watched DTM Spa 2005 and I learned that Mika competed against Bernd Schneider in a diaper changing contest with baby dolls. 😂😂

and then there's max götz in DTM (who, in my opinion, looks like a very attractive accountant)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
hey al! I noticed bianca was wearing her glasses in the helmet during practice
Tumblr media
I've never seen it before maybe it's just because they tend to get laser eye surgery if they do have glasses (even tho charles also wears glasses outside of race weekends sometimes) or lenses so I was wondering if you know about any rules or regulations around glasses while racing??
Hello,
You are allowed to wear glasses under the helmet if you need them
There just haven’t been that many drivers who have needed them
Jacques Villeneuve wore glasses - he actually had a prescription visor at some point
Sebastien Bourdais also wore glasses
Nico Rosberg wore contact lenses - you can see how red his eyes are after certain races
Nico Hulkenberg had his eyes corrected like 10 years ago or something- but he wore glasses before then
Then Alexander Sims wore glasses under his helmet in FE
There’s no rules prohibiting it but I guess they’d have to be careful about material and shape of the glasses - all of the ones I’ve seen have been pretty thin lightweight frames, I would assume that contact lenses are probably more comfortable to wear inside a helmet than glasses

Title: For his DREAM
As one great and late U.S. activist (for social rights) Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 🇺🇸 👨🏽‍🦱 (we loved/respect you, by the way, 😊) said: "I have a dream". 😌💭 His famous quote of speech excels and inspires everyone who has dreams to succeed, both in real life and fictional life.
• And the latter was such the case with Spot Speedster 🐶🏎️ (and his twin sister, Riya 🐰🏎️) who wanted to become a great motorsport racer, whether he was hired by a racing team of Le Mans (🇫🇷🏎️), Formula 1 (🇬🇧🏎️), Stock Car (a.k.a. NASCAR 🇺🇸🚘), or any famous motorsport events such as Super GT ( 🇯🇵🚘), Supercar Championship (formerly named "V8 Supercar" 🇦🇺🚘), or DTM ("Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters" / "German Touring Car Masters" 🇩🇪🚘). Or heck maybe he could be signed to the D1 Grand Prix (A Grand Prix for drift cars 🇯🇵🚘), or a simple drag racing tournament (🚦🏎️🛣️).
Spot 🐶🏎️: Heck yeah! Whatever I picked, someday I'll always BE ON TOP! And that is MY DREAM! And my sister, Ri can do it, too!😁🏁🥇🏆
IMPORTANT NOTE: Before their Speedster twins' parents revealed, I made a silhouette of Spot's future father looks like, that resembles to Spot's future adult appearance. 🙂 As for Bonn 🐰🚹, he's still classified as a "Dad" and "Master" to their twins (Spot and Riya). 😉

BMW Horsepower King: The 3 Most Powerful Cars Ever Produced
A car without good horsepower is practically useless. Picture driving a car that accelerates sluggishly and drags on the road every time you take it out. It's not a pleasant experience and is a hassle for any car owner.
The greater the horsepower, the better the performance. Your car should always be at its peak performance when you drive. If you’re a BMW enthusiast, you have a wide array of powerful cars to choose from.
BMW has released numerous high-horsepower cars that drive like a dream. These vehicles, powered by impressive BMW V8 engines, boast horsepower ranging from 200 to over 600, with some rumored to reach up to 700 hp.
However, before purchasing your Optimal Used BMW, it’s essential to know which model offers the highest horsepower. A stylish car body isn't enough; you want a reliable vehicle that won't cost a fortune in repairs.
Read this article to discover which BMW has the highest horsepower and its remarkable features, ensuring you get a car that’s truly worth your investment.
2011 BMW M3 GTS (E92) - Packing a robust 444 horsepower
In 2010, BMW's engineers took inspiration from Porsche and created a GTS variant of the M3. They trimmed down the M3 by removing the rear seats, lightening the door trim, and slimming down the center console. Additional weight-saving measures included eliminating most of the sound system, replacing the rear windows with polycarbonate, and equipping the car with a lightweight titanium exhaust system. As a result, the GTS was approximately 100 pounds lighter than the standard M3.

Engine4.4-liter V-8Horsepower444 horsepowerTorque325 pound-feetTransmissionSeven-Speed AutomaticDrivelineRWD0-60 MPH4.4 secondsTop Speed190 mph
The GTS also featured a firmer suspension and a more potent engine. BMW modified the naturally aspirated 4.0-liter V-8, expanding it to a 4.4-liter V-8. Despite the substantial increase in engine size, the GTS generated only 30 additional horsepower and 30 extra foot-pounds of torque compared to the standard M3. However, the combination of increased power and reduced weight made the GTS significantly quicker than the base model. Unfortunately, BMW chose not to release the GTS in the United States.
M4 DTM Champion - A formidable 493 horsepower
To commemorate Marco Wittmann's victories in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters of 2014 and 2016, BMW crafted 200 exclusive M4 DTM Champion editions. These special editions were exclusively painted Alpine White, adorned with M racing-themed stripes that accentuated the car's sleek design. The aesthetic was further enhanced by exposed carbon fiber elements, including the front splitter, mirror caps, side skirts, rear diffuser, and rear spoiler, providing a striking contrast against the pristine white bodywork.
Tumblr media
M4 DTM Champion Performance Specifications
Engine3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-sixHorsepower493 horsepowerTorque443 pound-feetTransmissionSeven-speed automaticDrivelineRWD0-60 MPH3.8 secondsTop Speed190 mph
This special M4 was not only enhanced for performance but also underwent weight reduction for optimal agility. Equipped with a water injection system, it boasted 49 additional horsepower compared to the M4 with the competition package. To shed weight, components such as the roof, hood, and instrument panel support were crafted from lightweight carbon-reinforced plastic composites. Similar to the BMW M3 GTS, the M4 DTM Champion was not offered in the United States.
Tuners like Manhart have demonstrated the potential for even greater power from the M4 DTM. By extracting 708 horsepower from its engine, they showcased how BMW engineers could have pushed the limits further if they chose to do so.
2022 BMW X3M Competition - 503 Horsepower
The X3M is already an SUV that packs a surprising punch, but the Competition edition takes it to a whole new realm. With an additional 37 pound-feet of torque, it's like turning up the volume to eleven, though that analogy hardly does it justice. While the standard X3M maxes out at 155 miles per hour, the Competition variant pushes the boundaries to 177. Adding to its allure are 21-inch lightweight wheels, a sleek gloss black grille, and mirror caps. Inside, the seats feature more pronounced bolsters, ensuring a dynamic driving experience unmatched in its class.
Tumblr media
2022 BMW X3M Performance Specifications
Engine: 3.0L twin-turbo Inline-six
Horsepower: 503 horsepower
Torque: 457 pound-feet
Transmission: Eight-Speed Automatic
Driveline: AWD
0-60 MPH: 3.2 seconds
Top Speed: 177 mph
The X3 M effortlessly blends opulence, performance, and the utilitarian appeal that resonates so well with American SUV enthusiasts. Step inside, and you're greeted with a high-tech digital gauge cluster, plush heated front seats, power-adjustable fronts, and ambient interior lighting that sets the mood just right. Opt for the bells and whistles—like heated rear seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a toasty heated steering wheel—and BMW will happily oblige for a little extra cash. Plus, the X3 M doesn't compromise on practicality, offering ample room for both passengers and cargo, ensuring every journey is as comfortable as it is exhilarating.

"¡EXCLUSIVO!

Lawson replaces Ricciardo following his crash in FP2
Lawson replaces Ricciardo following his crash in FP2 By Balazs Szabo on 25 Aug 2023, 20:04 Following his crash in the second practice session, AlphaTauri driver Daniel Ricciardo has been ruled out of Dutch Grand Prix with a broken wrist, he will be replaced by Liam Lawson in the remainder of the weekend. The eight-time grand prix winner crashed at the banked Turn 3 corner in the early stages of Free Practice 2 after getting caught out by Oscar Piastri’s crash just ahead of him. The Australian was taken to hospital for further checks, and the inspection revealed that the 34-year-old had broken his wrist and thus would be unable to race this weekend. Shortly after, AlphaTauri released a statement: "After today’s incident during Free Practice 2 in Zandvoort, in which Daniel Ricciardo hit the barrier at Turn 3, he was brought to the local hospital and further examinations were carried out. "An X-ray confirmed he sustained a break to a metacarpal on his left hand, and this injury will not allow him to continue his duties, so he will be replaced by the team’s reserve driver Liam Lawson for the remainder of this weekend. The team wishes him all the best for the quickest possible recovery. Further updates will be released in due course." Red Bull and AlphaTauri's reserve driver Lawson will step in to take over Ricciardo's car and race at Zandvoort alongside Yuki Tsunoda. After finishing second in the Australian Formula 4 Championship in 2017, the New-Zealander moved to Europe to compete in Germany's ADAC F4 series where he ended up second in 2018. Next year saw Lawson race in the FIA F3 Championship, the Euroformula Open Championship and the Toyota Racing Series in which he claimed five wins en route to clinch the title. Although he won three races in the FIA F3 series in 2020, he had to settle for P5 in the drivers' championship. In 2021, he stepped up into the FIA F2 Championship where he finished ninth alongside an overall second place in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters. He continued to race in the FIA F2 series last year where he claimed a third place at the end of the year. He currently competes in Japan's Super Formula where he has already clinched three wins in seven races and sits second in the standings. via F1Technical.net . DTM 101
Hello ladys and gentleman, lads and guys, ppl and cute pets, I am back with a post which I came up at 4 am last night and am currently writing during my introductional history class so buckle up and enjoy the mess.
@allthewayabt did a similiar post and I was inspired by it and felt like there was more to unwrap and also who tf does actually listen to their zoom classes, can’t relate lmao
- DTM (Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters, don’t ask me who came up with that Denglish af name pls) is currently trying to save their asses somehow because they went from 3 brands (audi, mercedes and bmw) to basically 1 (bmw) and some private sponsored teams (i think that’s also how Robert Kubica got his DTM seat but don’t take my word on this)  - there’s two practice sessions on Friday and two qualifyings - one on Saturday for the Saturday race and one on Sunday for the Sunday race (however, there is no practice session between the two races)  - some basic rules:    no team radio (it’s been a rule for a few years, before we got stuff like “Timo, schieb ihn raus!” which was and still is iconic & painful shit imo)    during the pit stop the team can talk to the driver & updates them on everything that is going on    also the team radio is allowed to be used in dangerous situations (such as if a car has to retire quickly before it becomes dangerous)    otherwise the driver can do some talks with himself on the radio because the team cannot answer him    1 mandatory pit stop     HOWEVER pit stops under the safety car do not count, so that spices things up if the safety car comes on track while there a drivers pitting    the pit crew is very small (5 ppl or smth) so the pit stops are slower   tyres are cold when they are put onto the car so the timing is very much deciding - if there are cars with warm tyres behind, the likeliness of getting eaten up is very very high     the wet tyres are warmed up I think but again, don’t take my word on this for granted hfifbiuebur  - famous drivers are our lord and legend Bernd Mayländer, Timo Glock, Ralf Schumacher, Pascal Wehrlein (the youngest DTM champ ever before going to F1 <3), Timo Scheider, Matthias Ekström, Rene Rast (duh), Gary Paffett, Paul di Resta, Tom Kristensen, Nico Müller and so on and so on  - Keke Rosberg (yes, Nico R’s dad) owns a team backed by Audi and they are the current team & drivers champions with Rene Rast and Jamie Green (not sure how it’s going to be this season with Audi having left)  - DTM drives on the legendary Norisring in the middle of Nürnburg (it is really dope ngl) - there’s a youtube chancel that uploads races in German as well as in English so no worries if the races are in the middle of the night or you can’t watch it for some other reasons  - as mentioned above, Pascal Wehrlein used to drive for Mercedes in DTM before driving in F1 and won the championship on the last weekend and there was some drama going on which included Timo Scheider (I think?) being told to push Pascal out (which he did, I can only recommend watching the video because well ... I use it quite a lot lmao) - in case anyone remembers the pic of Seb and Fabian in his Audio TT Cup suit - that was taken at one of the DTM races, the Audi TT Cup has been replaced by the DTM Trophy, the European F3 and W-Series used to drive as support series as well  - this crash from Rene at the Lausitzring is worth seeing because the fact that he walked away from that unharmed is ... wow (pretty sure if you type in dtm lausitzring 18 rene rast you’ll find the video)  That’s what my monkey brain can think of so far, if y’all have any questions/ideas what else needs to be covered let me now (it’s not like I’m taking the zoom university serious anyway) !
