Homecooking [Jan ed]
Hi hiii~
Longer post this month yay! haha
Starting with this instant coffee. It was okay- I also tried the original one, which I liked more. I like that it's not very sweet, but it is sooo.. creamy/foamy? I don't recommend adding too much water. As for the hazelnut... my opinion only- I don't like it that much.
Jjambbong with bokchoy & 2 eggs.
Soy sauce based rabokki (ramyeon + deokbokki).
Ramyeon with bokchoy, corn, & Busan fish cake.
Okay this may be weird so just giving you a heads up :P the sauce I used for the udon was bulgogi marinade sauce. Nothing fancy; just the T&T brand one. Chicken was air-fried & coated with some of the bulgogi sauce & lemongrass.
Made banchan on my day off.
Thick rice noodles with some pork, cabbage & bokchoy, & my friend's mom's chili sauce.
Trying all the things & being creative. .. doenjang rice cakes with some ham & shrimp.
Thick rice noodles with leftover air-fried chicken & napa cabbage. (chicken broth)
More noodles... lol with choysum, egg, & Vietnamese-style fish cake.
Bibimbab. There was a lot of stuff in this one: pork belly, white beech mushrooms, my homemade banchan, carrot, lettuce (I cooked it bcos I didn't want salad), & also whelk.
I'm trying to get back into reading =( I have sooo many books & I keep buying more. I binged this one over a wknd. TBH, it wasn't that good but I couldn't stop after the half-way mark.
Bean #1 for this month
& here's the 2nd one that I'm still currently going thru!
I am making it a goal to do 1 book per month. I fell off the rails for a long time but hopefully I can do it again. Wish me luck!

This is only made funnier by the fact that cheese became so popular in Korean food like cheese deokbokki
OK, I'm seeing a lot of "Gi-Hun and In-Ho are brothers/ siblings" theory with the evidence mostly leading into... Them being lactose intolerant?
I've left comments before and I'd like to copy and paste them here in a post. In summary:
Gi-Hun and In-Ho both have separate mother's.
Lactose Intolerance is very common in Korea.
Sources will be listed below ^^
Here are my comments:
1) I think them being brothers is just too silly. I mean, In-Ho already have his little brother Jun-Ho, their mother is alive too. Gi-hun is just a few years older than In-Ho AND in the early episodes of season 1, Gi-hun's mother was alive.
So what the "Gi-hun and In-Ho are brothers" theory is suggesting is that Gi-hun could possibly be adopted by a different family when he was a baby and both of the Hwang brothers don't know that?? What are the evidences here? I just think it's silly.
2) Fun fact: a lot of Koreans are actually lactose intolerant! When "balanced diet guide-lines" was being implemented all over the world, it was encouraged for kids and peeps to drink milk for growth and health.
Unfortunately, people found out a lot of Koreans are lactose intolerant (might be because of ancient genes stuff. It also applies to other Asian groups but personally, from where I'm from, there's not a lot of lactose intolerant people).
So one of the solutions for that is fermented milk which reduces the lactose! (Really delicious! Especially flavored ones? Mann.)
Also, in season 1, Gi-hun asks for chocolate milk instead of regular milk. A little bit of searching, chocolate = fats = slows down/ lessens the symptoms. It's probably different for people, but it's possible that it's helpful to some. (I just wanna mention it lol)
