I know it's been said several times, but guys, seriously, this is kind of gross.
Martin Scorsese DID NOT DIRECT GONCHAROV. Yes, there was that awful shit that went down during post-production — and Scorsese definitely stepped up! — but we really have to stop this blatant disrespect for Matteo JWHJ0715 just because we didn't know who he was a week ago.

last month there was a job I was supposed to apply for but I was procrastinating on my resume all month because despite the job having significantly higher pay and more long-term stability, I simply hate and fear change. the application deadline ended up falling on Goncharov weekend where I was understandably distracted by the meaningless yet beautiful collaboration on Tumblr dot com, so this culminated in a race against the clock in the one hour leading up to the 11:59pm deadline, where I shoddily cobbled together my resume and unexpectedly had to fill out an extra questionnaire portion before being able to submit the application. I was finally able to hit ‘send’ only for the clock to have struck midnight right as I did so, resulting in a ‘Sorry, this job posting has closed’ message. and instead of feeling sadness or frustration or disappointment at blowing my chance at a very good job for no reason besides my own procrastination habits, the sole thought I had in my head in the moment was “I ran out of time. just like Goncharov”
#I could have emailed them if I wanted but I really truly did not want the job lol I was applying due to external pressures#and also the knowledge that it is logical to aim for a better paying job in life#but the hours were crazy and I was so comfortable in my life the way it was this year finally#so I wasn’t disappointed. tho I can’t deny that my priorities in this life are fucked#goncharov#t

The @icerosesummerbracket has dragged me back into ARoIiS, so I spent all day drawing art of my absolute favorite, Currant!
I was inspired by some of the hc designs I've seen in the fandom lately for both him and Etienne, but I really wanted to lean into the ARoIiS themes of light vs. dark with his outfit. Though I fear I might have leaned into them TOO much lmao. But I do enjoy the space/star aesthetic, so it's fine with me, just consider it an artistic liberty. I definitely did not know how to depict his magic tho lol.
Also! I wanted to give him lots of blue so he and Etienne could be a red-blue sibling duo :D
I do headcanon Currant as trans :) I mean, have you ever noticed how ARoIiS uses similar words to describe him and Etienne, but in a different light? (pun intended) You CANNOT tell me they aren't identical twins. And you know what that means! One of them has to be trans. I'm convinced Etienne did his top surgery somehow, and you cannot change my mind idc idc.
Honestly at this point I would take a spin-off that's just about Currant and Etienne, exploring their origins, their rocky relationship, and how they ended up taking different paths in life. That would be cool to see.
Also, how about both a Currantsweep and an Etiennesweep, so they can both face off each other in the finals, for further family drama? I know it's not gonna happen but I can dream ❤️
