You set my heart, Ablaze (Kyojuro X Tsuguko reader)
Requested by: Becauseus. You and your master had always enjoyed training together, but as time went on, it became harder and harder to keep you cool. He was just too kind and attractive! So you began to distance yourself from the man, much to his confusion, but he could never know about your feelings. So you enlist the help of the sound Hashira to train you, this ends up backfiring, or dose it?
Warnings: miscommunications between (y/n) and Kyojuro. Tengen is a bit of a flirt, but nothing inappropriate.
You and Rengoku had met during one of his earliest missions as Hashira. Slayers had been vanishing after investigating the disappearances of wealthy estate owners in a small village located in the northern part of his district. Ubuyashiki had asked Rengoku to join the most recent group of low ranks sent to investigate in the hope that the presence of a hashira could lure out the elusive demon that had been plaguing the town for weeks.
Unfortunately, by the time Kyojuro had arrived at the village, the entire group of slayers had been ruthlessly slaughtered and messly scattered about the scene. Kyojuro felt his stomach turn in disgust. It was clear the demon was committing monstrosities for sport.
As Kyojuro looked over the bodies, he noticed that something was off. They usually send scouting parties of five, and there were only four bodies, torn to shreds, but still 4 none the less. Had the demon dragged off one of the slayers and devoured them? No, it wouldn't make sense why the demon would leave the rest and only take one? Kyojuros' contemplation was broken as he realized he heard something faint, it sounded as if a struggle was occurring in the clearing ahead.
As Kyojuro weaved through the thick brush of the woods , the sound of growling and a sword breaking wind grew more and more prominent. He silently cursed himself for not hearing the clashing sooner.
As he ran into the clearing Kyojuro could see you were the only Slayer left standing, there were bones scattered about the landscape that he couldn't help but note looked suspiciously human... The scene would have had any lower rank demon slayer quivering in fear, itching to turn around and run with their tail between their legs; but to a seasoned slayer and now Hashira like him it wasn't the first time he'd witnessed such a catastrophe. It was only something that would make it harder to sleep some nights and aid in his drive to protect the innocent in hopes to prevent such a scene from occurring again.
The thing that did surprise Kyojuro was seeing a lower ranked slayer such as yourself putting up such a brazen fight despite the pain you must have been in from your wounds; Your skill was clear, but you were growing tired with each strike you received. He knew if he didn't interfere soon, you would surely perish as did the others before you. So without a moment's hesitation he leapt into action, catching the offending demon off guard.
With the distraction his sudden entranced caused you were able to find an opening to quickly decapitate the demon, and as you stood there looking at the demon who was responsible for taking the lives of your friends, and countless others you felt the adrenaline coursing through your veins begin to wear off, and a throbbing pain began to spread across your body like wildfire, and as your limbs grew heavy and you lost grip of your sword.
Kyojuro's eyes followed the weapon as it clattered to the ground, and it was as if the world stopped for a moment- the sword was turning from its original flat silver to a striking red.
"Your sword-" Kyojuro began before pausing, noticing the fatigue and grief in your eyes. He knew now wasn't the time for celebration.
"It doesn't matter, I failed in the end. I didn't save them." Kyojuro took a step forward without second thought, and protested your claim.
"I have to disagree. If you hadn't defeated the demon, more slayers along with civilians would have surely met their ends. The demon was misclassified from the start, and what occurred because of that was not your fault! You had no clue what you were up against until it was too late to turn back. I'm sure your fallen comrades would agree that you had not abandoned them by fighting on and surviving." There was no hint of deceit in his voice. You were taken aback by the conviction and confidence he heald.
You looked from the decentagrated demon up to the stary night sky. It had no right to look as calm and unbothered as it did - as if it hadn't also witnessed the grotesque scean before you.
"Then tell me why I feel so usless right now, so weak? Innocent people die because of these monsters!" Flashes of your friends standing around the fire as you sung out key ballets that told outlandish stories of brave warriors and monsters, roasting smores and suspicious looking meat over the bright flames, and your throat constricted as you spoke, "Tell me why I couldn't do more? I became a slayer to save those who couldn't save themselves...and I failed- I failed miserably, and there's nothing I can do....It's like as soon as I make some sort of progress, something is pushing me back. How can I get anywhere if I'm this weak? I'm pathetic, and a waste of a slayer!"
Kyojuro didn't speak at that moment. He only listened as you cried, and he tried to figure out what to do at that moment, "Be my Tsugo, let's cultivate your skills together. You might feel useless now, but I know otherwise. No slayer with zero potential would be standing before me, still alive and breathing. I've only known you for a short time, but I know with the burning fire you have within you, you can achieve great things, young Mizunoe."
His words made you pause and look away from the spot the demon had been, "You want to train me?"
"Yes!" The Hashira's eye contact was unwaveringly as he nodded firmly.
That was well over a year ago, and here you were, blade in hand, sweating your ass off, and cursing yourself for losing your concentration once again. This was the fourth time you barely evaded being hit by the bokken your sensei was passionately wielding with an unmovable smile, almost as if he was enjoying your suffering. Despite now being a kinoto and usually being able to keep up with your master, you had to be off your game today, which didn't seem to go unnoticed by your young master, "Let's take a break, and enjoy some of the delicious food Senjouro packed for us!"
You couldn't help but sigh before nodding in agreement. There was no doubt in your mind that you were only taking a break due to your poor performance. Embarrassment swelled with in you and your face began to heat up.
As you ate in silence and your cheeks had returned to normal you were praying to all the gods you could think off that he wouldn't bring up how poorly you had been evading his attacks, but it seems the gods didn't hear your ple, or maybe they had and just wanted to watch you suffer.
"(Y/N), pardon me if this isn't my place, but you aren't performing at the same caliber you normally do. Is there something on your mind?" Rengoku had stopped eating, and painted on his face was a serious expression. You couldn't help the way your head swung around at that question. The truth was there was, in fact, something on your mind, something he as your master could never know.
"(Y/N), are you alright? We don't have to talk about it if it makes you uncomfortable, but know I'm always here if you need me." His serious tone drew you out of your thoughts, and you blush as you realize you had been gawking at his undeniably handsome features, framed by his equally beautiful and fiery locks.
"Don't worry Master, I'm alright." You lied with a small smile, hoping he wouldn't bat an eye at your bluff. The truth was you weren't alright. You were falling for your Master, and while the age difference wasn't all that extreme, only three years, the idea of a master and Tsuguko being involved with one another was unheard of, if not Taboo. You knew you had to get over this silly crush for both your and Rengokus sake.
So you begain to distance yourself from your master, much to his confusion.
First, you started by cutting lessons short, giving a different excuse each time as to why you had to leave.
"I forgot to give my cat food this morning, so I should really head back now."
"But (y/n), you're allergic to....." He stops as he realizes you had already walked away. His heart grew heavy at the lie you told. He began to wonder how best to approach the situation. You weren't usually one to slack off, so he knew something was wrong.
"(Y/n), if there is something bothering you, I'm willing to listen." Kyojuro said, looking up from his food to you, watching how you froze at the question.
"There's nothing wrong at all." You quickly respond before stuffing your face with more food, wanting to avoid further discussion. Kyojuro let's out a defeated sigh before looking back at his food, suddenly not feeling hungry despite the grumbling of his stomach. He decided he'd bring it up again later.
After trying to talk to you about what was bothering you and failing multiple times he finally decided enough was enough when you failed to show up to practice one day.
He was normally a patient man, but his anxiety filled thoughts were starting to get the best of him. Had he done something wrong? Had he overstepped your boundaries by asking you if you were alright? He only did that because he cared. Why won't you just tell him what he did wrong so he can fix it? He intended to find you and ask you outright, having grown impatient at the thought of waiting for you to reject him as your master... and friend.
"So (y/n), you decided to take me up on my offer?" You glared at Tengen, who's ego had seemed to double as you led him behind your house. You honestly were beginning to regret asking him to train you for the time being.
"Say, isn't Rengoku the one who usually trains you? Why aren't you training with him? I mean not that I'm complaining that I get to spend the afternoon with a beautiful girl such as yourself." You resisted the urge to rule your eyes as you fought off a blush at the mans flirting; more out of embarrassment than anything else.
"If I knew you were going to talk the whole time and not train me, I would have asked Mitsuri instead." You grumbled before getting in position to spar with the man.
"You wound me (Y/n), but you're right. We didn't come here to talk. We can do that after, hopefully over some sake and dinner." The man winked at you and then got into a ready position as well.
Fighting Tengen was interestingto say the least. While it was good in the sense that it was far easier to keep a level head and not turn into a blushing fumbling mess every time you made any sort of contact, compared to with Rengoku who you couldn't help but make a fool of yourself in front of.
You knew that Tengen was a flirt, so you paid little attention to his flatery remarks, mind focusing solely on training and pushing your fiery locked master to the back of your mind.
"So (Y/n), how would you feel about becoming my fourth wife?" Tengen suddenly asks mid fight, completely catching you off guard, giving him the perfect opening to attack and subdue you.
"Damnit, Uzui! Let me go, that was so uncalled for! Who asks questions like that in a spar?" You try to wiggle out of the Hashiras firm grasp, failing miserably. In your struggle, you hadn't noticed the presence that had joined you in the court yard.
As Rengoku watched you spar against his friend and fellow pillar, he could help the frown that crept onto his face.
So this is why you had stopped training with him? He felt his heart grow heavy at how you'd found a new master and didn't think to even tell him why. In that moment, he also felt something else that he couldn't quite pinpoint boil with in him as he saw Tengen say something that flusterd you. Kyojuro's fist trembled in rage. Who did Tengen think he was? He already had three wives, and he still felt the need to take the one woman Kyojuro had ever loved. Kyojuro's eyes widened at this realization. He loved you... he let out a heavy sigh, shoulders slightly dropping in defeat, "What am I doing? She's happy and he's my best friend, I can't be selfish...Who am i to get in the way?"
Kyojuro turned around and walked down the path he'd taken to your pausing and looking back the way he came. Maybe he should talk to Uzui?
"Well (y/n), I think it's time we part ways. I understand what Rengoku sees in you. I'm sure you'll make a flashy Hashira when the time comes. Oh, and if you don't end up with Rengoku, my offer still stands." The Hashira winks while getting ready to head out.
"What do you mean 'get with Rengoku' i never - when did i ever -" you stammered once again, caught off guard by the flashy Hashira who was already walking away, paying your question no mind. 'What the hell???'
As Tengen made his way down the scenic path, he couldn't help the laughter that escaped him once he saw Rengoku in the center of the path with his arms crossed in front of his chest, clearly waiting on him.
"Ah, Rengoku! I thought I heard you enter the garden! It's good to see my you! You should have joined (L/n) and I during training! You've trained her well, I think she could fairly well be a pillar in the near future." Tengen stopped in front of his fellow Hashiras as he spoke. Acting oblivious to the clear distain in the other mans gaze.
"It looked like you had the situation handled." The unusually short response from Rengoku caused Tengen to quirk a brow before an even bigger grin broke across his face, "Rengoku.... are you jealous?"
Rengoku only ignored the question, deciding to respond with one of his own, "What are your intentions with (Y/n)?"
"You are jealous! I was only helping her train. I won't lie and say she doesn't interest me slightly. She's an incredible woman, but i don't believe her interest lies with me." Tengen couldn't help but be amused by his friends perplexed look.
"I- what are you trying to say, Uzui?" Rengoku asks after a moment of hesitation, not understanding where this was going.
"What I'm saying is you should talk to her." Tengen pats his firey allies' shoulder, before brushing past him and continueing his way down the dirt trail.
Kyojuro didn't say anything as he watched his friend continue down the trail, feeling more confused than he had before their chat.
After weighing the pros and cons of following the sound Hashiras advice, he began to make his way towards your home, ignoring the erratic thumbing in his chest. Tengen was a lot of things, but Kyojuro knew he would never purposely mislead him.
As he approached your garden, he decided it was best to stop and try to figure out what he was going to say before approaching you, but his plan was soon foiled as you rounded the corner and barreled right into his chest. Why was nothing going right today? (Mwaahaha because i like making you suffer)
"I-uh,Rengoku! What can i do for you?" You stamer before you lept back, almost as if you were scalded by boiling water.
"You missed training." His voice was void of humor. It honstly seemed almost mornful.
"I did..." You knew there was no way of lying your way out of this, and honestly, you were tired of lying to your master and friend, so you told the truth.
"You were training with Uzui, do you want him to be your new master, or is there....more going on there?" You'd never seen your master so unsure of himself, but here he was voice wavering.
"It's more complicated than that, Kyojuro...I don't have a choice." Neither of you noticed your little slip up in the midst of you heightened emotions. "It shouldn't be, there's no inbetween (Y/n). You deserve someone who will love you unapologetically and wholeheartedly." Kyojuros' hand, which had somehow found its way onto your arm, lightly tightened to convey his sincerity. You then realized in that moment you both were talking about two very different things.
"Wait-wait- no, no, you misunderstand! There's absolutely nothing going on between me and Mr.Uzui." While Tengen was a good friend, you couldn't help but grimace at the thought of being his wife and having to spend the rest of your life with the flirty egotistical man bothering you constantly. He may have been pretty, but not that pretty.
Shaking yourself from your thoughts, you couldn't help but note the look of relief on Rengoku's face. "That's a relief. I thought I was going to have to watch you marry Tengen." Your brows furrowed in confusion, "Would that have been a bad thing if i didn't?"
Rengokus hand slid down your arm before finally landing on your callused but soft hand, "I suppose there's no use in hiding from you... It would have been horrible if you and Tengen had gotten together because I would have to watch him live out the life with you that I could only dream of having."
"Rengoku, are you saying you -" The anamored look in the Hasias eyes stopped you in your tracks, and a grin breaks across your face, and you knew you already had your answer.
"Yes, I love you (Y/N), I want to be yours if you'll take me." His large hand seemed to engulf yours as he brought it to rest over his rapidly beating heart.
"I've felt the same for a long time, but Kyojuro I'm your Tsuguko, what will people say when they see that we're more than master and student? I don't want to sully your good name." You try to pull your hand away from the man, only for his grip to only tighten, keeping your hand firmly in place above his passionately beating heart.
"I don't care about what anyone might say about us. We know the truth! Spending a life without you by my side seems far crueler than any dirty look I may receive from a faceless stranger." He firmly refuted with unwavering confidence. In that moment, you felt your resolve begin to start to chip away, and the unwavering passion in his eyes did little to help.
"Okay, if you're willing to be with me despite the challenges that may come our way, I'd be honored to be yours." You tried to steady your rapidly beating heart as you both grew closer together, cheast brushing against each other as your breaths mingled.
"You don't know how happy that makes me dear." Kyojuro finally closed the space in between you, and as your lips caressed his. You couldn't help but feel at ease for the first time in months. Kyojuro was yours and you his, and while you knew there would be consiquentense for being together you couldn't bring yourself to care, in that moment it was only the both of you basking in eachothers presence, as it should have been.
And as you separated and looked into his vibrant orbs, you found yourself saying with a battered breath, "Kyojuro, every time I see you, you set my heart ablaze."
He only smiled and pulled you closer to him and kissed your forehead, "I don't think I could describe the passion I feel with you any better myself."
I hope you all enjoyed it! I'm sorry it took me so long to get this out, I had it completed, but I couldn't find the time to edit it as my phone broke, and I didn't have access to a computer, but now we're back on track!

⚠️WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD Regarding TBHK CHAPTERS 41 to 58 ⚠️
As I Think more about this concept, I come to realization that maybe the Picture perfect arc is the Best way go for a Movie, I completely forgot that after the Severance arc, we get at least 3 whole Arcs before Finally arriving at the far shore, So unless you want to either see stuff get cut out or Sit Through probably a 3 or 4 HOUR movie, the Severance is Not the best option, however if the picture perfect arc were made into a Film, then this would be No problem, after all it's all just 1 arc about 1 singular story, and it doesn't get bumped into multiple other arcs, plus this would be the Perfect way to introduce No.4/ Mei Shijima into the Series, having season 2 probably end with the Picture perfect arc being foreshadowed, and then jumping straight into the movie, giving a nice glimpse of what's to come next; in my opinion, This would the PERFECT way to end season 2
Plus think of All merch you'd sell with this idea, since Mei is an artist you'd probably sell a lot of merch relating to art, like pencils, and art books for the movie, but you'd also have the chance to Sell Posters and other items like pins, T shirts, key chains, and of course, PLUSHIES!!!
Also maybe having art booklets regarding behind the scenes, would be an Awesome thing to Sell as well, just think of the all possibilities this would hope to achieve, Gaining not only money, but also introducing New fans to TBHK as well, growing the Fanbase even More I'd love for this to happen seeing as it IS a Slepted on series and Deserves more recognition, plus think of All the Amazing scenes we'd see adapted into the movie, Seeing stuff Like this Scene
And this Scene
And This SCENE!!!
Oh let's Not forget about This scene ^^
So many beautiful moments to chose from and so many to Adapt, I wanna see this happen so bad and with "Season 2" being Announced I can't help but Wish for this to be true 😖 Because Why else would they release the Spin-off series in October, but release the MAIN series in January? Unless of course, it's to set us up for something, or should I say, SOMEONE (this being Mei shijima)
Plus let's not forget the color scheme for this movie, knowing Aidairo and the Animation team They would be COOKING with this film, Making it even more beautiful than it Already is, Plus the Soundtrack would be Beautiful to hear, the TBHK Soundtrack is 1 of the Best soundtracks I've heard in an Anime, Aside from Madoka magica and SAO's, it has that vibe of Creepy and spooky, but also Angelic and mesmerizing, so imagine that type of Soundtrack in film, you'd have to go All out producing the Best pieces for the Film, especially for something like the Picture perfect arc, having it sound like something straight out of a Dream, setting the tone for something either Creepy, sad, or Beautiful; Making us Not only See the scene, but also FEEL it
Also if my calculations are correct, Demon slayers Mugen train arc was only 6 Chapters, and they were able to make that into a 1 hour long movie, So if this TBHK'S Picture perfect arc is about 13 Chapters, then We're looking at probably about a 2 or 3 hour long movie, which is pretty reasonable to say the least, plus knowing Aidairo's pacing, it Would probably only feel about 1 hour or maybe even less, judging by how When I read her Chapters, I feel like I've read about 13 to 17 chapters, when in reality I've read about 20 or 30 of them, So that's saying something ^^
Finally the message Behind the story: Tbh, imma leave that up to y'all, Because there's So many ways to interpret it, and tbh, I don't think my words could do it Justice. Maybe one day I'll return and endup editing this to Finally put my feelings into words but until then, I'll leave that in YOUR Hands,
In the end I think The Picture perfect arc is the Best arc, Not because it's the most heartwrenching, but because it focuses on the Main characters, most of the cast really consists of Hanako, yashiro, kou, mitsuba, alongside Natsuhiko, Sakura and Tsukasa, with the inclusion of No.4, being the Only new character, everyone else like Aoi, Akane and teru don't even appear and if they do, They're just replicas created by No.4, it's Literally a story all about the Main characters, or at least, the One's we started off with, in my opinion that sounds like the Perfect blueprint for a movie, So why not make it into one. Anyway those are Just my Feelings, but I really wanna know what you think? Do you think should be turned into a movie, or should just stay as part of season? Lemme know in the comments below or in a Reblog if you enjoyed this little Rant. Anyway that's all from me So thank you for taking the time to read this if you did, This took a VERY long time for me to write, and I just wanted to make sure it was "Perfect" in my eyes ^^ Anyway yeah see ya around and once again, thank you, I really mean it, Okay bye byyee ^_^ 👋

for the ask meme: principal snyder
[Reverse unpopular opinion meme.]
Not sure how unpopular a take this is but I really like Principal Snyder. He is genuinely one of my favorite minor characters on the show.
There are, I guess, a few different reasons for that.
The first is just a question of good timing. Snyder arrives during the second half of the first season, which is – to my mind, anyway – the point where the show really starts to find its feet. (This is also, I suspect, part of the reason I’m so fond of Jenny Calendar, who shows up at around the same time.) And he’s a recurring figure throughout the show’s second and third seasons too, which – while they might not be objectively the show’s best years – are certainly the seasons I personally have the most nostalgic feeling for and whose failings I’m most willing to overlook. Snyder’s part of my favorite two and half seasons of the show, so I’m predisposed to enjoy him as a character.
Second, and along similar lines, Snyder is a type of character that I think that the latter seasons don’t really have: a recurring character who is somewhat important to Buffy’s regular life but entirely ignorant of the supernatural side of that life. Yes, we find out early in Season 2 that Snyder knows more about vampires than he lets on, and that he’s reporting directly to the Mayor; but that connection doesn’t seem to add up to him being in on the Mayor’s big Ascenion plan and he doesn’t show any sign of knowing that Buffy herself is the Slayer.
After the high school seasons, who else is there like this? Parker Abrams, I guess, very early in Season 4, but … that’s it, right? There are characters who could have taken up Snyder's mantle – Dawn’s social worker, for example, or Buffy’s second manager at the Doublemeat Palace, both in Season 6 – but for whatever reason nobody does. Almost everyone else Buffy meets after high school either turns out to be deeply connected to the supernatural -- other than Parker everyone she spends any time with in college turns out to be a demon, a witch or a member of the Initiative; the next Principal of Sunnydale High is the son of a previous Slayer, the doctor she starts talking to when her Mom gets sick is the mortal vessel of a hell god -- or just not a regular part of the show at all. I can’t even remember the name of any of Buffy’s college professors other than Maggie Walsh.
And I think that’s a shame, because the existence of Principal Snyder as a low-level recurring antagonist makes Buffy’s life as a regular teenage girl feel a lot more consequential than it otherwise might. If Buffy only had problems with one-off teachers we’d never seen or heard of before, or if she frequently complained about getting into trouble with an off-screen principal we never got to see on screen, the world of the show would just feel a little less grounded. And, in particular, Snyder's function as the show's clear unsympathetic authority figure implicitly helps make both Buffy's Mom and her Watcher much more sympathetic than they might otherwise be
More important than either of those points though, I think Snyder is just really fun to watch? For my money, the writers strike almost the ideal balance between making him an unpleasant self-important bully and making him a ridiculous comic figure (one who, crucially, at no point shows any sign of being in on the joke). Armin Shimerman is unfailingly great in the role from his very first appearance, and he gets such wonderfully silly lines to say.
Some of my favorites:
“There are some things I can just smell. It’s like a sixth sense.”
“What are you, ghouls? There are no dead students here … this week.”
“That’s the kind of wooly-headed liberal thinking that leads to being eaten.”
"Children everywhere ... Like locusts, crawling around, mindlessly bent on feeding and mating, destroying everything in sight in their relentless, pointless desire to exist."
“Why couldn’t you be dealing drugs like normal people?”
"This is a time of celebration. So sit still and be quiet."
“There are things I will not tolerate: students loitering on campus after school, horrible murders with hearts being removed. And also smoking.”
Finally, I really like the fact that – unlike, say, Shimerman’s other big 90s genre TV role, Quark on Deep Space 9, and unlike somebody like Jonathan who was also a recurring character in the high school years who didn’t (then) know that Buffy was the Slayer – Snyder really never gets any more depth or attempts to make him sympathetic. He never gets fully brought into the magical world or gets given some sort of character arc or has any previously well-hidden virtues suddenly revealed.
Yes, okay, there’s the aforementioned ties to the Mayor and the brief glimpse we get of teenage Snyder in Band Candy. But for all practical purposes the Principal Snyder we see in Season 1’s The Puppet Show – delighting in causing Buffy and her friends problems for no reason while boasting about how, unlike his predecessor, he’s too tough and disciplined to ever get eaten – is the same Principal Snyder we see in Season 3’s Graduation Day, getting eaten.

𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐠 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐝 || 𝐭. 𝐦𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐨
》 contains: description of demon slaying, post-swordsmith village arc, minor spoilers for hashira training arc
》 genre: comfort, fluff
》 wc: ±1k
》 muichiro tokito x gn!demon slayer!reader
》 a/n: hello! please enjoy this muichiro work as season 4 comes to an end. i honestly cannot wait for the next season i am literally on the edge of my seat! thank you for 1.2k and thank you everyone for your love and support and pls keep safe, healthy, and obssessing on mui! ♡
》 synopsis: the mist finally cleared and all his questions were answered. he knew that the best is yet to come, especially with you.
you huffed and panted as you quickly made your way around the headquarters, having just returned from your own mission in the east. your footsteps were light and quick, as you were clearly in a hurry. the sword hung on your waist jingled with a light clanging sound along with your movements and bounce.
upon arriving at the butterfly estate, aoi was already at the front, expecting your arrival. she gave you a light smile and approached you, her blue eyes studying you and your body to check for injuries.
"aoi! oh thank heavens you're here, whe-" she cut you off before you can even continue any further.
"you have a cut here, on your left thigh. you're clearly bleeding, y/n! your uniform is even soaked from the blood." she scolded you and frowned, turning away and crossing her arms.
you chuckled and pat her head, making her turn to you again. "aoi, it's not fatal. it's merely a scratch from the demon i fought. there's not even poison or demon art in it!" you reasoned to calm her down. she stared at you for a few more seconds before sighing and continued hanging linens.
"he's in the infirmary, in the second room. he just finished his lunch, he's probably asleep." she said and gave you a wide smile, winking at you knowingly.
wasting no more than a second, you quickly and swiftly made your way through the halls of the butterfly estate. it was fairly empty at this time, unlike during the natagumo mountain mission wherein there were a lot of slayers who had received treatment.
you passed by the first door and heard the quiet slither of a serpent. you smiled to yourself and assumed that it was kanroji who was in the room, accompanied by iguro. you decided to check on her later to save yourself from the irritation of the male hashira.
stopping at the closed door, you took a deep breath and steeled yourself. you have heard from shinobu that muichiro has regained his memories and is lively as ever. though he did receive a handful of injuries from the upper moon alongside poisoning, he was nearing full recovery.
three knocks resounded throughout the room, and muichiro's eyes flew to the door. his eyes sparkled as he had a gut feeling who was behind the door. he sat up straight and brushed his hair away from his face.
"come in." he said which made your eyes widen and made your jaw fall from surprise. even his voice had changed, it was lighter and sounded more carefree now. you slid the door open and your eyes fell to his figure.
he was sitting upright with his back pressed against the headboard. his upper body was bare since a few bandages were wrapped around his torso and chest. you can see faint marks of needles on his face and neck, but it was not alarming and instead, were slowly fading with time.
half of his hair was tied back and the other half cascaded down his back. his hands were more calloused than the last time you saw him and... and...
his eyes were bright and shining, no longer dull and void. rather, it was full of glee and hope, of love and joy, of relief and peace.
his right hand reached out to you and your feet began to walk towards him, taking his hand and giving it a light squeeze before you sat by his side.
the last thing you would've expected to see on him is a genuine smile, but there it was. a sweet, warm, and beautiful smile plastered on his lips as his eyes crinkled to reflect the true happiness he felt at that moment.
tears welled at your eyes as you fought them back. muichiro noticed and sat up even straighter, leaning forward to pull you in a hug. a tight and reassuring one, full of tenderness and explosive emotions.
"mui... you're back, you're safe and... and you defeated an upper moon by yourself, and.. and you're back, you're you again, mui." you whispered softly to him which made him chuckle. his hands comfortingly ran up and down your back as you felt him smile against your shoulder.
he pulled back to ruffle your hair, making a mess out of it. "you're such a massive cry baby." he playfully mocked you and laughed heartily, the sound was like music to your ears. you scoffed and poked his chest playfully.
"now i don't know which one's harder to deal with. the sullen you or the teasing you." you huffed and turned away from him.
his hand found its way to yours and he interlocked your fingers. your eyes kept gazing into his teal, bright ones. you cannot get enough of how majestic and breathtaking he looks all the time. he's especially gorgeous now that the mist has cleared.
"y/n, the fog has lifted now. everything's crystal clear, i'm not living in a blur anymore, i'm not chasing my memories. i can now see things the way they are. and you're here, with me. and with you, i know where i'm meant to go." he spoke, his voice laced with sincerity and overflowing with dedication. your smile only widened as tears came to your eyes even more, those words meant the world to you.
"i'm always here, mui. always, for you. 'm not going anywhere. we'll always be together, and everything's much more different now, but somehow, still the same." you replied before planting a kiss on his forehead, hearing him sigh in contentment.
a few moments passed when he sat up and his gaze flew to your body. he huffed and poked your sides, squinting at you and raising a brow.
"you should get your wound treated, your blood is staining the floor."
the moon was high in the sky and you smiled in relief and happiness as you heard the sounds of his soft breathing quietly bounce off the walls of the room. you held onto his hand, a promise to never let go.
/ / /
the trees behind your villa swayed with the wind, making you snap your head towards your back garden. you cleared your throat to gain the attention of the slayers who were engrossed in your durability training.
"let's take a break for an hour, i've prepared some food and refreshments at the kitchen, please help yourselves!" they all collectively let out a sigh of relief and gratitude.
the slayers have just finished muichiro's training and by the drained and almost dead-like state they were in as they arrived at your estate, you had a slight idea of how strict and uptight muichiro was with their training.
you made your way to your back garden and saw muichiro sitting on the swing, enjoying the afternoon breeze. his head turned to look at you and the sun illuminated his face, making him look more dignified and warm in this angle.
you sauntered over to him and sat next to him, staring at your reflection at the pond. like a reflex, his hand found yours and he interlocked your fingers together.
you gave him a slight nudge on his side. "you only came here for tanjiro, didn't you? he finished my training days ago, he must be with gyomei-san now." you feigned upset and disappointment, making a smile appear on his face.
"i know that, tanjiro is an amazing boy. i came here specifically for you, of course. i'm just really fond of tanjiro, but you're my favorite." he remarked and pinched your cheeks, making you laugh.
you sat in comfortable silence for a few more seconds before he stood up and tugged on your hand. "hey, should we get away for a while? let's go to the east town and try out the food there." he said and pulled you even harder, making you stand up.
you chuckled and swayed your hands. "can't, mui. our training resumes in an hour." you replied which made him huff. he let go of your hand and walked past you into your estate, muttering something along the lines of "stupid training."
as he set foot in your kitchen, the slayers felt the blood drain from their face. are they in a nightmare? they just finished tokito's training. why is he here? what does he want? some of them almost dropped your porcelain bowls and plates from shock and fright.
you caught up to him and stared in surprise as he spoke in his sullen, dry voice.
"hey you incompetent weaklings, train on your own for the night. work until you bleed and your knees give out. if y/n is disappointed by your performance tomorrow, i'll send you back to my estate."
he turned away and you weren't even able to get a word in when you felt yourself being pulled away from your villa. you can only shake your head as you see him return to his usual demeanor. this guy surely has his favorites.
hand in hand, you both went to different shops and restaurants. enjoying the rest of the day with glee and love, basking in the relief and hope that the future brings.
in the light of the moon, his beauty mesmerizes you and captures the entirety of your being. his laughter makes your heart skip a beat, and the light in his eyes shines brighter than any street lamp. his hand feels warm and safe as it tightly held yours, and his carefree attitude makes you feel at home.
under the warm glow of the moon, you look perfect clad in your uniform, your glamour and presence enough to draw the attention of passersby. muichiro did not like it, the feeling that others could possibly look at you the way he does. but all his worries wash away when he feels your arms around him, when your intoxicating scent invade his nostrils. he know's he's at peace when he sees your smile. he knows tomorrow will be as bright with you in his life.
the fog has lifted, no more haze, just clarity.
all at once, everything looks different. now that he sees you.

Demon Slayer S4 episodes prediction
First of all I want to discuss the number of episodes this season will have. I think is either 8 (as rumors said) or 11 (as we are used to). But as per the leaked images for ep. 4 I think this season will also have 11 episodes. My reasoning is that episode 4 is almost entirelly original content, which if we go with the route of 8 episodes, there should be 4 episodes left that should include the training with Mitsuri, Obanai, Sanemi and all the conflict with Genya, Gyomei and his backstory, Tomioka trying to be friends with Sanemi, the confrontation of Kagaya and Muzan, their backstory and the aftermath of that conversation (I believe the season will end with the characters falling in the infinite castle).
This said I will start with my episodes prediction for this season:
Ep.1: Intro (already aired)
Ep.2: Giyu's backstory (already aired)
Ep. 3: Training with Uzui (original content already aired)
Ep. 4: Training with Muichiro (based on the leaked images it seems this ep will be almost all original content)
Ep. 5: Training with Mitsuri (almost all original content)
Ep. 6: Training with Obanai (almost all original content)
Ep. 7: Training with Sanemi and the conflict between the brothers (canon content from manga and some original content)
Ep. 8: Training with Gyomei and his backstory (canon content from manga)
Ep. 9: Entirely original episode featuring Shinobu, Tamayo, Yushiro and even Kanao
Ep. 10: Giyu trying to be friends with Sanemi, them fighting each other, ends with Muzan arriving to the mansion (canon content from manga)
Ep. 11: Kagaya's and Muzan's conversation (extended), their backstory (extended), the explosion and ending with the characters falling into the infinity castle
What do you think of my prediction? Do you think we will get 8, 11, or a in-between number of episodes?

“Kal-El of Krypton! I answered your call. The Beacon reached me across your Galaxy, the only other Kryptonian in existence. And I arrive, only to see you brought me to this...sickening display. [Superman: "You're Kara, you're my cousin?"] And you're a disappointment. I thought I would find a warrior. Instead, I find a joke, a lapdog, serving his entertainment to a weak and dissolute world. I'm not saying that there aren't temptations here. But a true Kryptonian pushes through. This planet it's made you soft. [Superman: "What are you saying?"] You have two choices, join me in conquering this planet, or kneel before your new Kryptonian Empire.” - Kara Zor-El, My Adventures with Superman (Season 2, Ep. 05)
The Toonami Trending Rundown for June 15-16, 2024. We reach the halfway point of My Adventures with Superman season 2 as Clark reunites with his long-lost cousin Kara. And among other great moments, we’re coming down the stretch with three more episodes of Zom 100’s first season after this week, as Akira returns home to his family; while Usopp and the Dwarves attack Sugar to try and stop her control of the toys.
For this week’s trending on Saturday, #Toonami trended in the USA on Twitter alongside My Adventures with Superman and Zom 100. No trends for Toonami Rewind on Friday were spotted this week.
This week’s feature was a new bumper ID titled “Screen Updates.” You can check it out below:

While there have been rumors and inclinations from Adult Swim that they do plan on producing a second season of Ninja Kamui, there is no official word on whether a second season is presently in production at this time. In a since-deleted news release by Business Wire, the article included a passage signifying that a second season of Ninja Kamui was in the works, saying ““NINJA KAMUI” anime series has become the most viewed anime ever in the history of both Adult Swim & MAX,” said Joseph Chou, CEO of Sola Entertainment. “We hope this game will continue to entertain the fans around the world while we work on Season 2 of the anime.””
However, Jason DeMarco has denied such an announcement, saying that “A second season has not been announced.” Chou later clarified to Anime News Network on Wednesday: “that the game's PR staff inserted the quote about Sola Entertainment "working on" a second season. While he said that they are considering new ideas, "there is nothing official at all."”
Next month, the block will be in a bit of a transition period as both Zom 100 and My Adventures with Superman will be completing their respective seasons on July 6 and July 20th respectively. For the nights of July 13 and 20th, both One Piece and Demon Slayer will have doubleheaders on the lineup on 12:30-1:30 a.m. and 3-4 a.m. respectively. Furthermore, on July 27, which ironically enough is Comic-Con week this year, My Adventures with Superman will be getting a marathon of all 10 episodes of its second season, a week after its season finale.
Not much else to say other than we hope you had a great Father's Day and Juneteenth, congratulations to the Boston Celtics on winning their record 18th NBA Championship, and stay gold.

My dive back into my old FFnet favorites continues and I'm bringing some more recs here for anyone interested in them. Still giving them my own summaries to convey my own impressions of the fics.
As You Wish by YarningChick - A fusion of The Cat Returns and The Princess Bride. Haru is the fiercely proud daughter of a samurai who has vowed to marry none other than her sweetheart - not even his death at sea could change her mind. Unfortunately, the King has decided he is going to marry Haru, whether she likes this idea or not.
Haru/Baron is the main ship and the fic itself is rated G. The main cast is all characters from The Cat Returns and while Haru is very different from her movie self, it's still a really fun and enjoyable re-imagining of The Princess Bride's plot. YarningChick has written a lot of fics for The Cat Returns - most AUs of some sort - and they're pretty much all enjoyable. So not only does the fic get a recommendataion, the author does too.
It looks so far like all YarningChick's fics are on Ao3, so that's where the links will lead.
The Angel's Knight by Philip S - Sixteen years after her death saving the world from Glory, Buffy is given the chance to return to life to aid Angel in one final Apocalypse to determine the world's future. But the truth of what's really happening is bigger than anyone could have possibly imagined.
I remember this one especially for it's rather fascinating take on what happened the night Eyghon killed Giles' pre-series and helps to explain some of the inconsistencies with his earlier portrayal and retcons made as characterization marched on. It's also got my favorite take on Catherine Madison post-trophy-ification and an interesting interpretation of the Key.
Rated T, has Buffy/Angel as the main ship, and is, unfortunately, not to be found on Ao3 yet.
BtVS: The College Years by Philip S - A Season 4 AU. With the Slayer beyond their control for the moment, the Watcher's Council chooses to reactivate the Slayer's counterpart: the Huntsman. Meanwhile, Buffy's dealing not only with college, but with the arrival of soldiers intending to fight the good fight… and whose presence will unearth more of Sunnydale's bloodstained history.
This one I remember really enjoying for the take on the Slayer that it was one of two powerful, ancient spirits. And also for incorporating Angel's return to being human via the Mohra demon, but not allowing him to roll back time like in canon. It's obvious to the reader what Angel's in store for as the fic goes on, but how he gets there is pretty fascinating.
It is rated M for a non-con encounter between Buffy and the first guy to become the Huntsman. So reader beware. The main ship is Buffy/Angel. And, like the rest of Philip S's work, it's not on Ao3 at this time.
If It's Not One Thing… by Gabrielle Lawson - There's never a dull moment on Deep Space Nine as murder, secretive aliens, and Julian's past collide. An alternate take on Julian Bashir's past written before the reveal of his parents or genetic engineering.
Probably my favorite fic about Julian. His backstory here is really well thought out and really quite tragic and it definitely captures the feel of early seasons DS9, with the tensions between Starfleet and the Bajorans playing an important part of the storyline.
It's rated T and is on Ao3 now, along with Gabrielle Lawson's other works. Lawson's Deep Space Nine fics are all pretty good from what I remember, though this one was my favorite.
The Geek's Field Guide to Arachnids by likethekoschka - A big robot spider, anaphylactic shock, and a number of near-death-experiences… all just another ordinary day on Atlantis for John and Rodney. First in a series staring John Sheppard and Rodney McKay in an established relationship, written by liketheriver and koschka under their combined penname.
While at least one of the writers moved to Ao3, it doesn't look like they brought any of their ffnet stuff - solo or cowritten - with them. Which is a shame, but I can hold out hope these'll get migrated to somewhere safer than ffnet eventually. (Like Ao3…)
All of the fics in this series are rated T and I cannot recommend the series enough for Stargate Atlantis fans. It's incredibly well written and a lot of fun to read. Features what is probably my favorite version of Radek Zelenka.
Atlas by distractedKat - Star Trek Kelvin-verse fic set after the 2009 movie and AU from there. Kirk throws himself into aiding the rebuilding of Starfleet in the wake of the Narada disaster as Starfleet Academy has found itself short staffed. This may not have been such a good idea, as his many talents have caught the eye of a corrupt Admiral…
An eventual Kirk/Spock fic that treats Spock and Uhura's friendship really well. Rated T and is up on Ao3.

Chapter 4: The Shizen Family
you meet with your family for the first time since joining the corps. It does not go as planned
wc: 2002
“Kimi, fly ahead and alert my family I’ll be arriving home in two days.” You give her a gentle head scratch before sending her off.
The seasons had changed yet again. Spring had passed and it would soon be July. You hadn’t even realized it until you were in a wisteria house, speaking with the lovely older woman who had mentioned her granddaughter’s birthday was coming up in July. You were floored when you realized with June ending, you had already been away from home for 13 months.
After your mission with Kyojuro, you felt more confident in your abilities. You hadn’t been struggling by any means, but his compliment sparked a fire in your soul. I mean, a hashira complimented you for crying out loud; it felt good to be noticed. You had taken on mission after mission, determined to prove yourself in the corps. After a year, you had progressed to Hinoto. Returning home with this news would hopefully make up for your lack of writing home recently.
----------
You walked up the steps leading to the front door of your house. There was a nervous energy pooling in your stomach and you couldn’t exactly figure out why it was there or how to quell it. You didn’t know if you should knock or just walk in. The decision was made for you when the door opened on its own.
“Oh, another slayer! Shizen-sama, a new guest has arrived!”
An unknown young woman opened the door further, gesturing for you to come in. You were frozen in place, trying to come up with the proper words to tell her you lived here.
“Suki-chan, I told you, you’re more than welcome to bring the guest in-”
You come face to face with your grandmother.
“Y/n? Is that really you?”
She tentatively reaches out and touches the side of your face.
“Yes, it’s me.”
She pulls you into a tight embrace and starts quietly crying. “Don’t ever do that again! It’s been five weeks since you last wrote, do you know how scared I was?!”
“I’m sorry,” you bring a hand up to stroke her hair. “I’ve spent the last three weeks tailing a demon in Tokyo, and I ran out of paper before that.”
She pulls away and places her hand on your cheek again.
“Just send Kimi next time. Come on in already, you arrived at the perfect time, lunch is almost finished.”
----------
You’re sat around the large dining room table with all your family once again. Large portions of tempura are passed around and you take in the familiar atmosphere. The past year, a vast majority of your meals had been shared between you and the family hosting you. You were occasionally joined by other slayers, but never someone you knew personally.
“So after the mission, the random slayer asks Akeno-kun and I if we wanted to get some sake together. We figured why not, the night is still young and so are we. So, we walked to this tavern just across the city. It was late and very busy, but I swear, as soon as we walked in, the entire tavern fell silent. Immediately a bunch of guys get up and start shouting at the three of us. Needless to say, we got thrown out. We only found out days later from the woman who owned the bar that that slayer we had been with owed several people in there money, and thought he could just walk in with two other slayers and flash our muscles. Akeno and I never saw or spoke to that man again.”
The table erupts with laughter at your uncle’s story. Him and your father were very close, and he had a large collection of stories about the misadventures they experienced together. You smile into your bite of food.
Well, y/n,” your uncle nudges your side with his elbow, “any stories you’d like to share about slaying?”
Your cheeks heat up at the unexpected attention now on you.
“Uh, not many! I mostly go on solo missions, and when I do see other slayers, we usually just eat in wisteria houses together before we go to sleep.”
“Surely you have at least one story to tell.”
“Uh… There was the time I met the flame hashira.”
Everyone leans in, beckoning you to continue.
“Yeah,” you swallow your food, “his name was Rengoku Kyojuro. He was very energetic despite the fact that we were battling a six-headed demon and its mother.”
“Six heads?!”
You nod your head, “it nearly took a chunk out of my arm, I’ve got the scar to prove it.”
You roll up your sleeve and show the skin on your arm, the faint arch from the bite still visible. “Luckily enough,” rolling your sleeve back down, “one of my comrades rushed to my side to help me. I defeated the demon and then afterwards the hashira told me he was impressed by my swordsmanship. We chatted briefly before he left. He too comes from a family that all use the same breathing pattern.”
“My, a hashira complimenting our girl! Perhaps he’ll take you in as his disciple,” your grandmother muses.
“Well, I’m not at the rank to be scouted for that, yet… Plus he’s very popular, I’m sure he already has his pick.”
“Not at the rank? What do you mean?”
“I’m not at kinoe yet, I’m only hinoto.”
Your grandmother furrows her brow. “No? But you’ve been in the corps for so long?”
“It’s only been a year,” you mumble.
“Exactly, it’s already been a year.”
“My brother leveled to kinoe within a year,” the new girl, Suki, said.
You just blankly stare at her with a, ‘dude, who even are you’ face. “That’s lovely, good for him. Men sure do effortlessly level up in rank, in the corps.”
“Do not start with that at the table,” your great-grandfather warns. He never liked when you hinted at sexism in the corps.
“My apologies, Y/n-san, I was merely adding to the conversation.”
You look away from Suki. She surely was an interesting character. Your grandmother had explained that she had come to them asking for a job working in the house. Since you weren’t there to help anymore, they hired her.
“Y/n, our family is strong and level up quickly, Asaki became a hashira at 13.”
“Yes, I read about it in her journal. That situation is different, though. Her dad was a pillar, and she was actually taught by someone who used Earth breathing.”
“You’re making excuses. You’ve been taught by someone who used Earth breathing, and your uncle is a very skilled fighter. Why do you insist on moving slowly?”
“I’ve been going on mission after mission for a year now, I’m ranking up as fast as I can. Plus, you barely spent any time in the corps…” You crossed your arms and looked away as you said the last part, you knew that was a big mistake to say.
“What did you say?”
You train your eyes on the wall to your left.
“Answer me,” your grandmother hisses.
“I said you didn’t spend much time in the corps. You don’t understand.”
Your grandmother is fuming when you look at her. The room is suddenly way too tense for your liking, and you get on your feet to leave the room.
“I’m finished.”
“Don’t you walk away from me!”
She grabs your arm and turns you around, slapping you in the face. Your hands instinctively go up to shield yourself.
“That’ll teach you to speak to me with respect! You can get out if you want to talk to me like that in my fucking house. Irritable girl, you leave home for a year and think you’re tough shit now?”
You say nothing to her as you cower in front of her. She might not have a large presence, in fact she’s about two inches shorter than you, yet her shadow looms over you. She’s got fire burning in her eyes and her fists are still at chest level, ready to go. No one else in the room dares to say anything. You simply just bow your head and turn, briskly walking through the house to your room. She doesn’t stop you this time.
----------
The rest of the day and night you stay boarded up in your room, purposefully isolating yourself. Your uncle had knocked on your door to alert you of dinner being ready, but you just ignored his call, opting to just lay down on your futon. It was pitch black outside when you finally gathered the courage to crack open your bedroom door, looking around the hallway. Next to your door sat a small tray with servings of tonight’s dinner on it. You stepped past it as you ventured further into the hallway. Deciding it was late enough that no one else would be up, you made your way outside to the backyard. A thought occurred to you that you hadn’t been able to sit under the stars on an engawa since the night before final selection. During the past year, any time you got to rest, you took the opportunity to sleep as much as you could.
The moon outside was full and shrouded by a few lingering clouds. You sat and let yourself take in the familiar atmosphere. It was hard to relax though. Maybe it was because you were more scared of the darkness now that you knew what could lurk in it, maybe it was because you were still upset from earlier, but all you knew was you simply couldn’t relax. Your hands balled into fists as you let out a frustrating sigh. Standing up, you stomped towards the shed in the corner of the yard. Inside looked rather untouched, the wooden practice dummy and wooden swords in the same place as always. You took out the dummy and picked up a sword. Setting up the practice dummy, you stalked around it in a circle. You weren’t necessarily trying to practice your breathing pattern, you just needed to blow off some steam.
You brought the sword down on the dummy, raining slashes to its chest, arms, neck, everything. You stepped backwards from it before turning around and driving the butt of the sword and your elbow into the head, knocking the dummy down. Your assault on the poor training device didn’t end there. You began kicking it in the side and it flopped around the yard. After a particularly hard kick, you sent it flying across the yard. When you walked over to it, you stared down at it on the ground. There were some chips in the wood now. The doors behind you opened up. It didn’t take a genius for you to guess it was your uncle.
“You’ve gotten stronger.”
“I’ve had the opportunity to train with opponents much fiercer than a piece of wood.”
He comes up to you and gently places a hand on your shoulder. You don’t bother to face him.
“Y/n… Why aren’t you resting?”
“I can’t,” you state plainly. “I’m not good enough, apparently.”
He sighs in defeat.
“It’s not fair she treats me like that. I’m not her grandmother, I’m me.”
“Perhaps it’s best if you did not stay, then.”
You turn around. “What do you mean? Are you kicking me out?”
“No, no. This is your home, and it brings me so much joy whenever you’re home; you’re my niece and I love you.”
You can sense the ‘but’ coming.
“But perhaps, it’s best if you take time to yourself. Your grandmother thinks it’s a good idea…”
You scoff and roll your eyes at him.
“Of course.”
He silently pleads for you to just agree with him. You sigh and turn to pick up the dummy.
“Perhaps it is best. I’ll leave when the sun rises.”
“At least wait to eat with us and say goodbye.”
“Maybe.”
You’re gone without so much as a note in the morning.

The thing that gets me about male Charmed fans pushing for a male version of the Charmed Ones is that, AFAIK, there wasn't as much of an obsession with the idea until Joey Falco came out on social media with his plans for a hypothetical fifth season of Charmed (2018) that would have introduced a "triquetra-verse" where one universe was that of the Halliwells', the second was the Vera/Vaughn/Dansos' universe, and the third was for a universe where the Charmed Ones were male witches . . . only they would be college frat dudebros and exist solely to prove Falco's point that men can't handle magic.
(Weird take, considering the reboot he was a writer on since season 1 and then showrunner for season 4 went out of its way to show that male witches don't exist in its universe, but okay. The only male magic users in the reboot are Whitelighters, demons, and whatever the hell Jordan is by the end of the show with his healing ability.)
Plus, if people are that desperate for male!Charmed Ones:
The original series already had this concept with the Rowe coven of warlocks, with each generation of the Rowe line becoming stronger and stronger, culminating in the arrival of three brothers who would inherit an evil version of the Charmed Ones' Power of Three.
Season 5 under Brad Kern changed the sex of Piper's unborn child from a daughter to a son, and to top this all off, Wyatt was born on Imbolc (a Wiccan Sabbat) + was the never-before-mentioned prophesized Twice-Blessed Child with super-powerful magic potentially greater than that of the Charmed Ones. To make things worse, Season 6 reveals that he eventually inherits Excalibur and is basically the next King Arthur.
Fanboys wanting male Charmed Ones, to me, completely undermines and misses the whole point of why the original series (and even the 2018 reboot) has the Charmed Ones being female, and why the 1998 series based its witchcraft in Wicca.
Charmed (1998) was created by Constance M. Burge, who based the lead characters of Prue, Piper, and Phoebe on herself and her two sisters. The Craft came out two years earlier in 1996 & Practical Magic was also released in 1998: Hollywood riding on the sudden wave of popularity of Wicca in the United States now that the Satanic Panic from the previous decade was over. Teenage girls and young women were very much into exploring witchcraft / Wicca as a counterculture to the dominant mainstream religion/culture of Christianity.
Through using magic and witchcraft as an allegory, Charmed was able to explore real-life issues women face through its female leads: sexual harassment, work-life balance, mistreatment in the workplace, stalking, kidnapping, domestic violence, murder, religious & gender discrimination. It didn't shy away from the fact that women can, in fact, be abusers, murderers, and sexual predators. It also was not afraid of its female leads showing sexual interest in men and pursuing their desire on their terms, something not even Buffy the Vampire Slayer did: Buffy was punished by the narrative for having consensual sex with her vampire boyfriend Angel by him losing his soul and becoming Angelus.
All this, while having powerful female leads, and still including male characters who are powerful in their own right: Leo Wyatt, Cole Turner, Darryl Morris, Andy Trudeau, Victor Bennett, Sam Wilder. Charmed (1998) has its heroines being the most powerful good witches on Earth, saving Innocents and helping other witches, while allowing for the existence of male witches (in fact, it's stated in the pilot that all warlocks were once good witches who killed another witch to steal his/her power, making Jeremy, Rex, Nicholas, and all the other male warlocks seen on-screen former male witches--at least, those who became warlocks by killing other witches to steal their powers). The first male witch explicitly identified as such that we meet is Max, a thirteen-year-old boy who inherited his power of psychokinesis from his witch mother. (Max, his father, and his mother are all Black --- this is something not even the 2018 reboot did, by the way, despite two-thirds of that show's heroines being Afro-Latina.)
I could do without a male version of the Charmed Ones, because, frankly, men are not lacking in that sort of representation in other media: John Constantine, Doctor Strange, Tony Stark/Iron Man, Marvel Comics' take on Thor and Loki. Powerful male characters with superpowers (supernatural or scientific) are a dime a dozen. The Charmed Ones themselves are undermined in the later seasons with the introduction of Wyatt, whom one of the Whitelighter Elders conspires to kill in season 6 because they are so scared of his power level: that it's too much for one person to have. More, that he's the son of a Charmed One and a Whitelighter born on a Wiccan Sabbat, and the Warren line of witches was destined to become more powerful. This is also after Brad Kern, a straight cisgender man, took over the position of showrunner and executive producer from Constance M. Burge, the woman who created the series.
Charmed does not need a male version of the Charmed Ones, and fanboys pushing for it after coming into a female-led, female-created show, in a fandom primarily dominated by women and LGBTQ+ people (both, even!) have missed the point entirely.
#Charmed 1998#anti Charmed 2018#[ I guess? IDK how to really tag this ]#[ sorry this is so rambly but I needed to get this out ]

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc (Season 3) released episode 4 on Sunday, and the fight continued following the demons’ arrival last week. The first part of the episode saw Tokito make quick work of the fish demon. After beheading it and realizing it wasn’t disintegrating, the Mist Hashira immediately guessed that the pot on its back must be the weak spot and destroyed it. I appreciated the way this wasn’t overly explained and just showed just how deserving of the Hashira title the boy is despite his young age. What followed was some more character development for Tokito, or rather the beginning of it. Just like with Tanjiro’s words before, Kotetsu’s plead to save Haganezuka and Kamanori triggers a memory of some past trauma. He was injured when Kagaya told him that he’d regain his memories eventually, and that it would probably start with something that would seem insignificant. The explanation for his past trauma will probably come in one of the following episodes, but we already saw him run to save the swordsmiths, with Kotetsu now begging him to go a bit slower. Tokito is still wondering if he made a mistake, but we can already guess that it will end up being the right decision.Meanwhile, Tanjiro is fighting Urogi, and he realizes that the demons can’t split up into the Upper Rank level demons infinitely. It seems like 4 is their limit, and their power drops off with further multiplication. The young demon slayer again shows his quick thinking and we also get to see him taunt the demon and hold his ground. Eventually he comes up with a plan to use the demon to carry him back the Nezuko and Genya, which goes perfectly and he rejoins the two.Genya shows some superhuman resilience and surprises the demons, especially Aizetsu who gets his head blown away. Of course, it’s not enough, but it does anger Sekido even more as he lashes out on the fellow demon. All 4 of Hantengu’s clones live up to the emotion they represent, and the voice actors are also delivering. The one representing relaxation, Karaku, is the one torturing Nezuko, though he also gets some nice retaliation. After Nezuko uses her Blood Demon Art, Sekido has to intervene, and the spear through Nezuko’s neck was difficult to watch. Tanjiro arrives to save her and demonstrates his skill to Sekido, though they end up unconscious by the end of the episode.Genya still hasn’t really shown, and Mitsuri is finally headed to the scene, so we can expect the real fights to begin soon. If you enjoyed episode 4 of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc (Season 3), make sure to vote for it in week 5 of Spring 2023!Images via Crunchyroll©Koyoharu Gotoge / SHUEISHA / Aniplex / ufotable

Are Two Haikyuu!! Movies Really Enough to Adapt the Final Arc?
From a recent announcement Haiku!! The anime will end with two movies. Can it cover over 100 chapters of the popular volleyball manga?
It's been two years of Haiku!! Fans have been waiting for news about a possible Season 5, but the official Haiku! The Twitter account revealed a two-part film that appears to adapt the remaining chapters of the popular volleyball manga. At first there was some confusion, it seemed that there would be a new season apart from the films, but the report later clarified this point.
In conclusion, Haikyuu posters are a great way to show your support for the anime. They are also a great way to decorate your room or office. Haikyuu posters are available for purchase online and in stores.
The announcement caused mixed feelings among fans; On the one hand, they were pleased to learn that an animated film adaptation of the hit game series is being made. However, others are upset that the rest of Haiku! Manga, 100+ chapters, somehow adapted into two movies. Is it possible to successfully fit so much material into just two movies?
Haiku story so far!!
Ever since Shoyo Hinata saw Little Giant, a volleyball player who seemed to fly, on TV, his life changed forever. This sight inspired him to play volleyball and he met his first rival in high school: Tobio Kageyama, a brilliant passer who was known as the king of the court. When Hinata arrived at Karasuno High School, she hoped to improve so that she could once again play against Kageyama; He had no idea that he would now be playing on the same court as his teammates.
Hinata and Kageyama became known as an odd duo due to their special technique, in which Hinata was able to finesse the latter's super-fast sets with her eyes closed. After a significant defeat in Season 1, Karasuno's team realized that in order to improve they all needed to evolve. After defeating Aoba Johsai in the semifinals, Karasuno defeated Shiratorizawa in the final to qualify for Nationals. Most recently, Karasuno appeared in season 4 of Haiku! Against the talented team of Inarizaki, where Hinata and Kageyama had their hands full with the Miya twins.
The remaining manga arcs in Haiku!
After Karasuno's victory over Inarizaki, he must now face Nekoma in the famous Battle of the Dump. Karasuno and Nekoma have faced each other several times in practice matches, and Karasuno's aggressive attacking style often pales in comparison to Nekoma's unwavering stamina and ability to never let the ball fall to the ground. Karasuno will then take on the role of Kamomedai, which was first introduced in Season 4 of Haiku! Anime disaster strikes and his first time at nationals is soon over.
Upon completion, all the players went their separate ways. Some have stopped playing volleyball after high school and others, such as Kageyama, have become professional athletes. However, Hinata has taken a different route: to Brazil, where she plays beach volleyball to hone all her skills. When he returns to Japan, he is a completely different player and the match between his team and Kageyama's team takes on an epic scale.
Like the rest of the haiku!!
The studio chose Haiku!! - Some seasons instead adapting to the rest of the anime - may have been due to budget constraints. Eventually, the production of season 4 faced some setbacks due to the pandemic. Other popular series like Jujutsu Kaisen and Demon Slayer have achieved incredible success with their respective anime movies and the Volleyball series may follow the same trend.
How devastating this is for fans, Haiku! Adapted in just two films, this means the animation will be of a cinematic quality. There's no release date yet (other than an August 2023 launch event), which means the animation team will have plenty of time to work their magic. But two movies trying to cover around 110 chapters and five arcs isn't exactly encouraging. At about two hours each, they will cover only 12 episodes of the regular anime season. Haiku Season 3!! Focused solely on the match between Karasuno and Shiratorizawa, while the second cut of the fourth season adapted the match between Karasuno and Inarizaki.
Considering that the two movies will cover the rest of the series including the time-jump arc, it's fair to say that much of the footage will be compressed or even cut to include it all. The first part of the film duo will likely focus on the fight at the dump and a brief altercation at the Komomedai party, while the second part focuses on D.
Another possibility is that the first Haiku!! The final film is able to focus solely on the national, which would be quite an endeavor in itself. The material has to be narrowed down and a decision has to be made as to what can be explained in the exposition or left out altogether. This would allow the second film to follow Hinata's journey to Brazil, as well as the time arc in which Hinata and Kageyama would once again face off on their respective teams, without deviating too much from the source material. It will also provide an opportunity to focus on the two leads as well as other characters.
However, it may not have been the studio's intention to cover everything in two films. The final season of Attack on Titan was supposed to end with Season 4 Part 2, but a Part 3 was unexpectedly announced. Haiku! You can do the same and continue the story as movies, OVAs, or even a new season. If the studio goes this route, the first two movies could focus on Karasuno's two games at Nationals, with the rest, including the Nationals finale, adjusted to a later date.
Haiku!! The series is loved by sports fans and sports lovers alike. While many were anticipating another season, the expected two-parter would provide a proper send-off to the series, but chooses to accommodate the rest of the story.
