Alright some more art. This one is of the kitchen scene from Jurassic Park of the Velociraptor Antirrhopus. However, they are scientifically accurate. Yeah I know the human isn't the best I think I focused in more on the dinosaurs than the human lol.

DinoPark Tycoon (1993) for this Raptor Summer Saturday! "Don't get the idea that this is a takeoff on the movie Jurassic Park. Kephardt says the program was in the making long before the movie hit the theater."
but the film was also in the making long before it hit theaters: filming began nearly a year before release! which in early 90s video game years is...still shorter than a lot of games took to make. of course, the jurassic park novel did come out in 1990, and the film was in pre-production for 25 months before filming even began...

In this video essay, I argue that the familiar Jurassic Lore that Michael Crichton read Gregory S. Paul's "Predatory Dinosaurs of the World" (1988) which led him to synonymize "Deinonychus" with "Velociraptor," is not the TRUE source of Crichton's inspiration. Rather, thanks to a comment from terrific paleoartist Douglas Henderson during an interview for Episode 27 of the Juras-Sick Park-Cast, I believe Crichton's inspiration dates back further to 1986, when Crichton visited the most influential paleoart exhibition to date, "Dinosaurs Past and Present." Hear me out, and see what you think.

Happy Fossil Friday! With sharp teeth, long legs, and sickle claws, Deinonychus antirrhopus was likely a formidable predator. This dinosaur, which could reach lengths of about 7 ft (2.1 m) from nose to tail, lived during the Early Cretaceous, some 107 million years ago. It belonged to a group of dinosaurs called maniraptors, or “hand-robbers.” Its hands and feet were equipped with sharp claws for catching and grasping prey. Like modern-day birds, it had hollow bones.
Fun fact: The Deinonychus on display in the Museum is a real fossil skeleton—and the only one of its kind on display anywhere in the world! See it up close in the Hall of Saurischian Dinosaurs! We're open daily from 10 am-5:30 pm. Plan your visit.

Deinonychus antirrhopus, meaning "terrbile claw" is a dromaeosaurid from the early Cretaceous Period. They're thought to have preyed on smaller dinosaurs like Tenontosaurus and Zephyrosaurus. Deinonychus lived in tropical or sub-tropical forests, lagoons and deltas.
I want to apologize for being absent for several months now. I hope none of you were worried about me. I was in a really bad art block, but now I think I'm ready to start posting again. (and yes, after all this time I'm still bad at drawing backgrounds)
The colours were based on the Rufous treepie.
Thanks to @junoniadoesart for the suggestion to draw Deinonychus!

So giving them robo arms to hold their shit has been the best decision ever (info after imgs)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So im going absolutely feral about this AU, so in order to make sure they can still fight their war with guns i gave them robotic arms attached to the thingys on their armour.
Sim Troopers and regular soldiers have about what Church/Sarge wear, while Freelancers and special ops like Locus and Felix are closer to Tex. Hiding specific markings + making them more resilient.
Also please enjoy this height reference I've made (Locus gets honorary Red bc he deserves it). Some heights have been changed to be larger, in Lopez and Tex's case have been drastically changed as they are robots. Nerd stuff about who is what below.
Tumblr media
Caboose [Ankylosaurus magniventris]
Church, Carolina, Tex [Utahraptor ostrommaysi]
Washington [Megalosaurus bucklandii]
Tucker [Allosaurus fragilis]
Doc [Kentrosaurus aethiopicus]
Donut [Deinonychus antirrhopus]
Grif, Kaikaina [Pachyrhinosaurus lakustai]
Simmons [Maiasaura peeblesorum]
Sarge [Daspletosaurus torosus]
Lopez [Nasutoceratops titusi]
Locus [Lythronax argestes]
Edit: I forgot Donut and Doc my sons I'm so sorry the bit has breached containment
