NO NINETIES NOVEMBER!
all month, i will be posting content that is NOT from the 90s, using the hashtag "not my usual decade". and "rebmevon seitenin on". because no nineties november runs in REVERSE. through an entire year of themes.
thus, spooky season is officially: UN-ending!
#rebmevon seitenin on#and yes both of these hashtags ALSO help to prevent my posts showing up for people who are searching for “nineties”!

Brainscan (1994), Lost Highway (1997)
the movie brainscan contains various influences from (among other things) Blue Velvet and Twin Peaks (possibly videodrome? but i haven't seen it). subsequently, it was referenced in the films Lost Highway and eXistenZ

Kaisertian from Burning Soldier (1994)
Talosian from Space Precinct (1994)
each on their own seems clearly inspired by the alien "xenomorph" [the one from burning soldier resembles the alien queen with the way its mouth moves], and yet both were released in the same year, and seem even more strikingly similar to each other. did one of them copy the other? in most cases it would be the video game that would be copying the video medium. also, while we're here, here's some pics of Idris Elba! his first acting credit is in this episode of Space Precinct
