why—in character x reader social media band AUs—is it always the character that’s in a band?

why not the reader? is the reader not allowed to live the indie rockstar life and make eye contact from up upon a stage, like a god with the bright lights behind them?

why can’t the character be the one that runs a stan account? either totally supporting their oshi(reader) or subtweeting how infuriating they find the reader? do you people feel nothing for fell first AND fell harder tropes on the character’s side anymore??

buck gave parts of himself away for so long to keep people from leaving him, believing that was all he was good for. he was made for "spare parts" after all. and now....... he has someone he doesn't have to do that with. he has someone who'll make space for all of buck, and who'll share parts of himself with buck. not because tommy's afraid buck will leave or he's trying to one-up him but because he wants to share himself with buck and wants buck to know him as much as buck wants tommy to know him. i need to. lie down or something.

And most of the PAFL cast likes animals!

Yura, Anya, Lilya, Dmitry and Olya like cats the most. Sanya, Sergei and Katya prefer doggies... Though Katya likes all animals a lot. She also has little idea of how to handle them, so she will almost certainly get bitten or scratched when trying to communicate with any sort of pet. Or maybe they're just hungry for meat.

Out of the bg gang, Tsar and Ivan love animals a bunch and animals love them back. Yana prefers little critters, even stuff like insects and fish. And Arthur has a similar issue to Katya with animals hating his guts for no damn reason!!

hey guys! this is arthur a.k.a. tumblr user @tommybones. as you may or may not know, that blog has been shadowbanned forever ago. the staff still hasn’t responded to the message i sent them 4 months ago now, and so i thought, why am i suffering. i should just move on already.

an issue i'm finding myself (or, my elf, eeyyyy) running into is that as their relationship progresses, Astarion and Iona become progressively harder to write together, because I'm kind of finding that the closer they are, the less they express themselves verbally.

like, for the earlier scenes, there is a lot of semi-clever back-and-forth which I enjoy writing, I love silly banter and teasing/flirting/bonding, and since they don't touch much early on, most of the relationship development happens in dialogue. but act 3?????? a lot of the emotional sludge that is between them feels most natural to, idk, leave unsaid, and have them rely on the understanding that they had been kind of hesitantly fostering since early act 2.

i know this is a stupid fucking thing to be gnawing on, especially considering that nobody has ever read a word of this damn fic, it's just.

it's a lot easier to write fun dialogue, than to somehow communicate, clearly and without headhopping or getting overly flowery/sanctimonious about it,

"aight chucklefucks, in this scene, he's climbing wordlessly under the covers with her both by way of an unwarranted apology that wasn't actually his to give (y'know, for the whole 'attacked in the middle of the night, bit to shit by his sibling while he stood by uselessly' deal that happened the previous night and is making him feel rotten and guilty for some reason), and as an acknowledgement that he's rattled, scared, and feeling vulnerable, which is why him actively seeking comfort in her instead of slinking off to lick his wounds alone is a big fuckin' deal."

"on the flipside, her not saying anything or asking why he's standing at the foot of her bed but just opening her arms to receive that silent request, invite him in (like one would a vampire, geddit), and giving him the affection with no preamble or caveat, is simultaneously an acceptance of that apology, a confirmation that despite all that's been going on during the daytime she still purposefully elects to trust him, and a reassurance that she is there, she's alive, unhurt, and her feelings haven't changed because of all this either."

Have I been thinking about leaving tumblr/fandom due to antisemitism? Yes. Probably one of the biggest things that influences the ecologies, agriculture, and economics on Aran is the fact that there are giant fucking dragons that eat rock, ore, and crystals living under the surface of the planet that surface to either supplement their diet with vegetation and meat or to poop.

The poop mounds and latrines of these giant wyrms are full of so many minerals and good organic soil as well as lumps of metals and gems.

The richest centaur herds tend to have a wyrm latrine someone on their territory that they mine for fertilizer, gems, and metals. And they tend to keep wyrms frequenting their territory by leaving offerings of milk and cheese at wyrm holes.
