okay I just finished Deadpool and Wolverine and I can safely say it is the best marvel movie since endgame. oh my fucking god.
it was so good, and is already probably one of my favorite marvel movies. It restored my faith in Disney and their ability to make good marvel movies. Literally just the intro had me hype as shit.
GO WATCH IF YOUR A COMIC FAN ESPECIALLY. so so much references and cameos.
also most of the credit going to the creators and the people that worked hard on creating it !! it was so amazing and it wouldn’t have happened without them all

Deadpool and Wolverine [8.5/10]
This is the movie everybody is talking about lastly and it is not more, it deserves every attention it gets. We are talking about THE movie of the year. I won't classify it as the 'resurrection of Marvel' as if it is true it has cameos like Marvel does, the movie can be enjoyed by its own. Of course if you have watched Deadpool 1 and 2 and X-Men movies and Logan, you will enjoy it x103018291 times but the truth is that this movie will be kept in public memory for a time. For me, I must be honest I was afraid of what Marvel could make to one of my favourite sagas as it is the Deadpool movies but in the end it wasn't real, the movie is more than what I expected and I have already watched it three times and another time is coming soon. It is an experience you have to live at least once at the cinema. It was all thanks to Ryan and Hugh and their team. And I will highlight Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova. I LOVE her!!! I was expecting more from her since her arc can feel a bit incomplete or anti-climatic like we don't watch a 'battle' between our two protagonists and her at the end, even though the movie does good explaining that they have no opportunities against her if they fight face to face alone, so I won't penalise it too much. To finish to all of those who say that Deadpool laughs about lgtb you should check his movies and his character more because he is part of the community and even in the movie Deadpool and Wolverine finish in a very gay way, like all the 'jokes' he makes isn't so much of jokes but reality if Logan really accept him haha i can't wait to see them on mcu and more see them interact with Spiderman or Peter.

Now that time has passed I wanna share my thoughts on Deadpool and Wolverine as a film, though I will preface by saying it isn't very positive... also, I admit I was high in the theaters watching this, so please treat this post like what it is: just an opinion.
The opening dance sequence was of course amazing, though there was some noticeable CGI. And I think the concept alone of Deadpool literally digging up Logan's grave is a hilarious way to start the movie.
Unfortunately Deadpool feels lamer and more like an asshole in this one. Especially after his character development in the last film I just can't see him desperately wanting to join the Avengers of all teams. Nando v Movies mentioned this but what the hell even is the Avengers now? And why is Happy in charge of who gets let in? And why wouldn't they let Wade in? Yeah he's gross and crass but he has special forces training and is nigh-unkillable. Y'all let Hawkeye in but not Deadpool?
The setup is interesting though I can't fully get behind the idea of anchor beings-- and the further idea that their death leads to "associated" universes collapsing as well as theirs? I don't know, it comes off as "yeah we have all these other characters you care about but Wolverine is the important one so they'd die without him", which is kind of an insult to those characters and that universe.
I admit, I was never big on Wolverine as a character, I always thought he was cool as hell but the only movie of his I've seen was Logan, which was awesome. So I admit that it may just be a case of the movie wasn't meant for me, but still I am a Deadpool fan so of course I'm gonna see this anyways. Super glad we got a good suit for him but I wish we didn't have to wait until the very end for him to put the cowl on.
The Johnny Storm/Captain America tease and bit was really funny I will say. Personally I was too stoned to get the joke at first, I honest to god thought he was just Chris Evans, but now that I've sobered up the misdirect is really funny.
Deadpool is directly responsible for getting Johnny Storm killed. I know Deadpool is a murderer and maybe I shouldn't give a shit about this, but it just feels like an unlikable thing for him to do. Like... that's a guy. That's a hero. It's not like he was being an ass to Wade or anything, he was an ally to the two and got killed for no good reason.
There was barely any screentime for the side characters that were some of the best parts of the first films. After Deadpool 2 I was really excited to see the X-Force working together in the next movie. The dynamic between Wade, Cable, and Domino are really fun and I think this Wolverine would've fit right in. It feels like a missed opportunity to not have the X-Force be the team to help fight Cassandra.
Speaking of, how about those cameos? I never watched Elektra or Blade so these kind of meant nothing for me. I watched this with my dad and he got pretty excited. Laura doesn't really do anything that memorable other than talk to Logan, and of course Channing Tatum's Gambit is the best character in all of cinema. Completely and utterly obsessed with him and I need a trilogy about him immediately.
I didn't love Wolverine's whole "letting his universe down" thing. It gets hyped up so much then when we learn what happened it was a bit underwhelming. I just can't see a universe where the X-Men are taken down by a mob of humans.
I laughed my ass off lots of times. "The Proposal. :)", "Suck it Fox, I'm going to Disneyland", "There's only ever gonna be one Blade", "He has risen, babygirl!", and pretty much everything out of Nicepool.
In general it kinda feels like it's regressing what was so good about Deadpool 1 and 2. It also feels like it's more for fans of the Fox Marvel movies than Deadpool fans. I hope that since this movie is "Deadpool and Wolverine" that means we can get a more proper Deadpool 3 in the future that brings back those who I missed dearly.

Deadpool and Wolverine Review
2 reviews in one night. I kinda forgot y'all existed
Anyway; Deadpool and Wolverine slapped... Bye *Blasts NSYNC*
Na but let's break the writing down. I am a writer and I feel i don't do 'writing reviews' even tho I'm meant to. So here we go
Deadpool's arc feels generic. But we've never seen Deadpool really stirpped down like this before, and I like that. He's lowkey way over his head in this movie. He's rusty from all those years of none Deadpool-ing. He sells fucking Hondas. And I think they noncalantly put that rustiness in throughout the movie and I have huge respect for that. Deadpool just wants to be a hero. But he was looking at it all wrong. He told himself he needs to be seen to be a hero. Which you don't. You just need to feel like one, and be told it by people who's opinions you care about. And I think that's the theme. Self-belief that what you do is correct. He went from selling cars with Peter. 10 minutes later, he's saving his entire Universe. Then an hour later, he's saving the fucking multiverse.
One aspect of his character that no one has somehow picked up on is his carelessness of people of other Universes. He pinned insults Johnny Storm said to Cassandra to get him killed, because he felt like it. He repeatably lied to Wolverine because he wasn't HIS Wolverine. If he doesn't work out, just get another one. But he also realises, that he can't. He doesn't have time to find a new Wolvie. The Void resistance team he never really cared about. Because he didn't know them, they don't even exist in his Universe enough for him to care. And I think this is also a part of the movies message to big wig companies that keep making Multiverse movies. That we don't fucking care about other Universe characters, they die. Oh no, anyway. It was just fan castings that lasted 2 fucking seconds. We want Plot, we want characters journeys. We want to get to know these characters. We want to know why they are who the are. What their end goal is. Why they are even in that moment. What is next for them. What they go through whilst we're with them. To then feel something at the end. But we don't get that at all, in any Multiverse movies. Except Spiderverse and No Way Home. Which is why those movies worked! We got to know them/already knew em. We knew what to expect, what their goals were. Johnny Storm was murdered... Okay, we saw him fight for 2 seconds, expecting him to be Capn' America. Then he was alive for another 2 minutes. Then dead. NEXT
Anyway moving on to Wolvie. Many people have reminded me this is a rehash of Logan. And I can't say I disagree. A drunk, regretful Wolverine. Is forced to save someone or something. And has to refind that Wolverine rage to save people... But you look deeper. And that's not what Deadpool and Wolverine are trying to do. This isn't a one-up to Logan. This is a one-down.
Think about it. This Wolverine is "the worst one". He abandoned the only people he loved and wanted to be around. Because he had to keep up this facade of not wanting to be with them. Logan's Wolverine, he had experienced all of that previously. He has felt loved, he has felt happy. And he got it ripped from him. This Wolverine we saw, he caused his own downfall. He deserves this life. He deserves to rot in his piss and shit and be chastised by everyone who comes across him. He's a fucking failure of a hero. Logan was THE fucking hero. Wolverine's Arc in this movie was starting over again. Learning to pick yourself back up to help someone else who is about to lose what he lost by being who he is now. Realising that ye, maybe he isn't the right person for the job. But what if, for once. He fucking is. What if he becomes that Wolverine everyone relies on. That Wolverine that picks up from Logan's legacy. The man who finds his purpose once again, thanks to this new lifeline he was given. Which is why Wolverine's ending was so good. Deadpool welcomed him into his circle. A group of new people. New characters he can learn new lessons from. Rather than being stuck with his old lessons he kept reteaching himself to make him hate his own self more.
Paradox, fuck knows what he was doing. He wasn't really important at the end of the day. But the writers wanted him to be seen as a buffoon with all the power. The guy who wanted lives to be ended quickly. Without realising that 1000 years into the future. Humanity, will probably be fucking dead
Cassandra Nova (smash). I liked her. She didn't really have an Arc. She was a sociopath. Feeling like she's in the shadow of her twin brother that she never really even knew. She never felt like getting to know. So she had no idea that he would actually save her, and love her like a sister. She served the movie well. And she was written for the plot

Deadpool and Wolverine: A Refreshing Take on the Merc with a Mouth and the Ol' Canucklehead
I went into Deadpool and Wolverine with a bit of skepticism. As someone who watched Deadpool 1 but didn’t particularly enjoy it, I decided to skip Deadpool 2. Given my lukewarm experience with the franchise, I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to follow along or enjoy the latest installment. To my pleasant surprise, Deadpool and Wolverine turned out to be an exhilarating and thoroughly entertaining…

The movie starts with a bang, as Deadpool and Wolverine team up for the first time on the big screen. The chemistry between Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman is electric, with both actors bringing their A-game to the roles.

Bill! Bill! Bill!
Now that the Olympics are done and dusted, good ol' Bill Cipher and his book of horrors are back on top (of this list, your hearts, and bestseller lists). With more fanfics than ever, Deadpool and Wolverine may very well be next in line to dethrone the reigning Marvel ship, Spideypool. Conversation about the latest and final season of The Umbrella Academy continues, and some very expensive preorders have popped up for the upcoming Dragon Age sequel, The Veilguard. This is Tumblr's Week in Review.

I haven't seen anyone else talk about it, so I wanted to share that Logan's rant monologue insulting Wade in the Honda Odyssey, before Wade decides to beat him up and they ~fight~ all night... that so clearly to me, was Logan projecting. It started as a tempered rant to cope with how annoyed and pent up he was, with the heat of everything and with Wade's muchness that makes him, him, but the longer he went on, the more he started ranting and exposing himself in the process.
"THE XMEN REJECTED YOU, AND THEY'LL TAKE FUCKING ANYONE!!!" That was my first hit, that he was referring to himself. He sees himself so lowly, so failed, that's canonical to the film. And canonically, he didn't even quite originally feel worthy or want to be with the XMEN. Didn't feel like there was a place for him there, a place for him anywhere. One of his biggest healings was Professor X not giving up on helping him believe that he deserved to be there, was wanted, was worthy, was a good guy. That's canon to his character. So we know he was speaking about himself. He was chewing Wade out, but he was also talking and focusing moreso on what upset him about himself. (He sees himself as just any jo shmo, when he IS literally THE X MAN ㅠㅠ)
He was seeing himself in Wade, how he "can't even save a relationship with a gd stripper", (he sees himself as not able to save anything either, and he's angry for that more than anything else he's angry or annoyed at) projecting SO HARD as he pieced together saying it out loud, that Wade was exactly like him. Logan hated himself for not saving anything. For being a "loser", a "failure", for all of the same reasons he was lashing out at Wade for. He was so angry and annoyed by Wade reminding him of himself, because he related to him. Wade was his reflection, in his eyes, calling him out so loudly with his own behaviors. And he hated himself. He deeply was suffering with that hatred for himself, and as a result, he lashed out on Wade when really he was chewing out himself, inside, admitting it.
"God's CRUELEST JOKE, IS THAT YOU *WONT* DIE ALONE. BECAUSE YOU! CANT! DIE! SO THE REST OF US HAVE TO SUFFER YOU THE REST OF OUR EXISTENCE!" (something along that.)
He didn't know for sure that Wade can't die. He picked up on that Wade can't be killed. Logan is the one who can't die. They are two flipped sides of the same immortal power coin. When he finished his screaming at him, and everyone was silent at how cruel and shocking the confrontation and his words were, I was sinking with a very empathetically whispered "oh, Logan..." Because I felt his misery. I immediately picked up on him really talking about himself, and I think that was genius and layered. I was upset for how awful that was to say to Wade, heartbroken for Wade taking that to heart, and I was heartbroken that Logan was saying that because he believes that about himself. Because they are, oddly, a lot alike. Very compatible.
This scene here:
I read that Hugh said that Ryan wrote that. He's brilliant with these films. It was so genius. I really needed to share this and bring this thought, meta, analysis to light. For all of us to have.
Is Logan mad at God's "cruel joke" of his immortality, yet ability to feel so much pain through it still? Yes. He punched the roof in rage, because it's not fair. Venting his own pain. He sees his powers, his own and Wade's too, empathetically, as their curse. The curse of being the one who lives, and the guilt with that. The one who can't die. The one who lives, who is forced to live, while everyone who "deserves to live" dies. And WILL die, around them.
"And You can't die. That's on all of US!" Logan says, clearly referring to himself living forever... And "us" being the people HE loved. He saw himself as a burden for existing with them, for them. He deflected that onto Wade, as if the people in Wade's life must feel that way too, but didn't really mean that. He meant it about himself. Logan believes he was a burden on the people he loves, the people he lost. That's probably why he left too, and didn't come back when they called out for him to. He distanced himself to protect them, and protect himself from that fear of rejection that he feels is so imminent, and them not having him, is the one element that led to none of them surviving without him. He was always the key. He was always wanted, and he was always important and needed. He just couldn't ever believe that.
Man, that's why it became so personal for Logan too, when he was shown Wade's photograph of his family. Because HE had a family, and he would do anything now to save them. Just like Wade. He held that photograph all night, he went and got it when it fell out of the car, he kept looking at it. It became personal for him, when he identified with it. That Honda scene really was their turning point of everything. That's when Logan cared with everything. He got it. Wade is the him he couldn't be. But now he can.
I dropped some heat with this one.
Extra little personal context/thought notes: Maybe I just spotted it because I have a natural knack for psychology, I'm hyperobservant, highly empathetic and deeply feeling, and I'm also years experienced of my parents and whole family treating me the same exact toxic lashout way almost every other day. That's a workweek for me to see through toxic lashout anger BS. These are not my gifs!!! They were created by another amazing account. I will refind their @ and tag them!! >>> It's @landoslastnerve ! Thank you friend! 🤍
Also wanted to include someone's tags from those gifs:

There's one specific aspect of Deadpool & Wolverine that's important in relation to the queerness of Wade/Logan:
The fact that Vanessa isn't single.
I'm not kidding lol
Doesn't seem like people are talking about this so I'm going to be the one to say it I guess!
So… beyond trying to save his world / family, Wade's (flimsy) motivation is indeed partially motivated by Vanessa – or more specifically by things she said to him during their break up. He wants to figure out how he matters or how he can be a hero without being an Avenger, etc.
Shitty as it is that Vanessa is relegated to being a two-dimensional motivation mouthpiece… She and Wade didn't just break up; they tell us immediately that she's seeing another guy. By my memory, Wade never disrespects that, not even jokingly. And the plot isn't framed as a quest to ~win back the girl~ either.
The end scene underlines this too, where [SPOILER] he says he did it for her even if she doesn't want him or whatever the line is. Their little hand touch isn't really a romantic rekindling.
So, what am I getting at?
This all gives weight to Wade's mischievous flirting and (later) built connection with Logan.
If Wade and Vanessa were framed as "taking a break," or if she was still single and he was trying to win her back, the queerness with Logan wouldn't work quite as well. There'd be more room to claim it's an unserious joke.
But Vanessa's moved on.
Wade, taking LOGAN home, did too.

Wade would speak louder than usual when rambling cuz the voices in his head get too much
Like "Oh yeah and Mary PUPPINS ALMOST TRIED to-"
Just a sudden increase in volume when he's talking
Despite how unusual-but-looks-normal-because-its-wade Logan would definitely catch on at some point because it gets annoying once he notices
When he asks Wade and he explains it to Logan, Logan tries to take the lead in the conversation to help Wade focus on his voice
Or they try to stay constant in their conversation so there isn't any room for Wade to really pay attention to the voices
