Sometimes I think about Lazlos relationship to being human. He didn't choose to be a vampire, Nadja forced it onto him (all the love in the world to Nadja but still).

Lazlo loves being human, his best friend is a human. The second he had to pretend to be human, he became a kind bartender named Jackie Daytona who supports the local womens volleyball team. He gives Colin Robinson the best last year of his life, knowing that he will die. He chooses to raise Baby Colin as his own, supporting his passions, even when he doesn't fully understand them. When he finally gets the chance to be in the sun afain, he goes to the beach, sits in the sun, plays in the sand and fishes in the sea. He helps Guillermo with his struggles and helps him keep his secret. He remembers the time and date on which they complimented the Guide. He even goes to try to apologise to Guillermo when he failed.

Just think about all the things Lazlo must miss desperately about being human. All the passions and desires he probably (subconsciously) hides from who he's closest to.

His character means to much to me and I could talk about this for days but instead I'll just give you this gif.

For the last week it has been "Biketoberfest" in Daytona Beach and I have been busy. I don't get paid because I don't want money and no I don't work at the bars. I clean a 200 gallon saltwater fish tank and it all began when the tank was empty, I cook for artists, dog sit for the owner of Mainstreet Tattoo. They have won Best Tattoo Shop in Volusia and Flagler County 3 years in a row. BIG events like this one, he has 2 from Louisiana and 1 from Maryland. Bike Week in March they have 1 from Wisconsin, 1 from the UK and Clean from Ink Masters.

I go there quite often and I have learned a lot from all of them. When I am there, I see what people get and because it's who I AM... I am going to ask; "Why did they choose that?" Then after they explain, my response is almost always; "Just like the ones I have, there is more often than not, a story. They should NOT be called tattoos, they should be called... "Stain Glass Windows to YOUR Soul."

I tell them what I want and say; "I want it EXACTLY like that, only different. I will never be a street sweeper telling a Rembrandt what to put on his canvas. Just because I use a brush doesn't make me an artist." 😂

Anyway back to this dog, She's a 15 week Frenchie, her name is Boula and I'll tell ya, if all Frenchie's are like her. What a beautiful, intelligent and loving attitude. I was the first one to put a leash on her, after the 4th time she got the hang of it.

She's small and she couldn't see out, I have nice seat cushions so I took 3 and stacked them so she could get the wind in her face.

We still haven't even heard any more news about the new Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi, Golden Axe, Shinobi or Streets of Rage games they announced over a year ago. Anything we've seen or heard has been classified as leaks, and not all of it sounds very positive.

Also, Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 would have absolutely been delisted with all the other games recently but I get the feeling somebody at Sega of America pumped the brakes on those two. They were announced to be delisted in other territories, but apparently have not been delisted anywhere as of yet.

They could have stopped more games from being delisted. While a few of these have to be delisted for licensing reasons (Daytona USA is a real life race event, Afterburner, Outrun and Sega Rally all contain licensed vehicles, etc.), there's no reason to delist NiGHTS, Space Channel 5, or 75-80% of those games.

The argument can be made that they'll just prep new versions of this stuff, but you know things are going to fall through the cracks. The PC is supposed to be the forever platform. It's insulting for them to do this.

June 13 - Cocoa Beach

It rained last night, but no too much. I’m watching the weather as Miami had torrencial rain. I hope we don’t run into it.

This morning we left St Augustine for Cocoa Beach. We drove on A1A , the main highway that runs from Northern Florida to the South. It runs through small towns, along the coast. It wasn’t busy at all. Driving south, there are beach towns that have many gates communities as well as huge condo and apartment buildings. Literally, over 15-20 stories high, one after another. The hotels are also built right next to the beach and are quite big too.

We drove through famous Daytona Beach but it didn’t seem worth a stop. It took about 2+ hours to get to Cocoa Beach, which became famous during the 1960s when the space program was first started. Cape Canaveral and NASA are 15 miles from here and a woman told me that when the rockets are launched , people here have a perfect view.

We went to the pier which was built in 1962. It has a couple of fish restaurants and whoosh. Even though it was almost 7 pm, people were still at the beach and in the water. We had sushi at one of the fish places. It was quite good.

The hotel we are staying is pretty big. It has a pool that meanders around which is fun for the kids. It has a 1950-60s vibe, it is no frills but comfortable. There is a laundry, which we used, as well as a bar. It feels like Palmdale on the beach.

Conor is very much an underdog story. After an unsuccessful attempt to break into F1, he returned to the states to try his hand at Indycar, his first love. This meant many years of one-off races, subbing for injured drivers and the occasional single season contract with a team. in 2020 and 21, he managed deals that allowed him to race full time, albeit with two teams, Carlin for ovals and ECR for road and street courses. In 2023 he is in the second season of a two year full time contract with ECR.

There is a 'what could have been' story. In 2011, Conor juggles duties between IndyNxt (then known as IndyLights) and GP3 in Europe, competing in 5 IndyNXT races and winning two of the first three, putting him in the championship lead. He then returned to GP3, only making it back to the states for 2 more races. His teammate, Josef Newgarden went on to win the championship and rose to Indycar the following year. If Conor had stayed and put the funding he had into IndyNXT instead of chasing what was ultimately a futile European dream, would he have had the opportunities Josef had? Won more races? Taken the championship from Josef? We will never know.

It could be said that Conor was born and bred for motorsports in general and Indycar in particular. His father is Derek Daly, F1, Cart (later became Indycar), and IMSA driver. His mother, Beth Boles, was an Indy 500 Festival Princess in 1978, as well as worked at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in several different roles. His stepfather, Doug Boles, is currently COO of Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Some of his earliest memories are at that track and others, as his father transitioned into being a TV broadcaster after he was born.

Conor is considered the friendliest guy on the grid and usually does the most to welcome newbies. He is something of an acquired taste, often over the top with his American patriotism (but doesn't really step over into the negative aspects of it). He's fond of using the weirdest phrases instead of swearing (lying sack of potatoes, cheating snake, etc), but does swear normally in unguarded moments (such as the radio during a race). He's a hometown boy, growing up just outside of Indianapolis. He knows the city inside and out. He has a self-deprecating sense of humor, making fun of all aspects of himself. A favorite descriptor he uses for himself is "A ginger diabetic with a bowl cut."

The sisters were always up way before sunset. And as Desiree had promised to her daughter, her and Esmee too care of the little problem with Officer Esmeralda Stone.

Elvira was alone in the mornings as Kathy went to work early and her mom and aunt wouldn't come out of their strange locked room before she went to school. The bus came as she played with her fishes and took her to the prestigious private school her an all her relatives attended.

Esmee: Hurry up sister! Tomoko is in town for her Tai Chi lesson!

So the sisters flew over to the old abandoned building that once held a company. They would soon meet up with Tomoko Kato, a befriended witch from Nekojima.

But Tomoko was late once again and so the sisters occupied themselves with the little amenities the lot had to offer.

After dealing with a couple of impertinent men, Tomoko finally arrived and the Tai Chi lesson could start

Esmee: Good to see you, Tomoko. It's a shame you made us wait again, but we're all looking forward to the lesson. Tomoko: Oh, you know, the flight was horrible. the weather, the weather! The weather over the ocean is always unpredictible! By the way, we have a new member today: This is Daytona, she's the mayor of Widespot, you might have heard of her? Desiree: A mayor? What an honor to meet you! Esmee: Can we now please start!

Katelyna was home before her mother and aunt, she didn't know where they went, but she knew that they left the house almost every day together.

The sisters would be home at 14:30 straight, so that Esmee could fix lunch for Elvira. Even if the girl usually had already eaten at school.

That evening, Esmee had just helped Elvira with her homework and sent er to her room, the phone rang...

Esmee: Rotspatz? ??: Desiree, is that you? Esmee: No, it's me, Esmee. Caesar, is that you? Caesar: Of course, who else? It's time we finally stop this charade! Katelyna has a right to know I am her father! I want her in my life! Esmee: You forfeit your right to be in her life the moment you dumped my sister! Stop calling Rafferty! None of us will ever allow Katalyna to meet you!

With that she hung up without accepting another word of Caesar Rafferty.

Katalyna heard her name from the kitchen. Her aunt tried to act normal, but she knew something was going on. Caesar Rafferty, could that really be?

When her aunt and mother went to bed, Katalyna stayed up for a long time and watched the ghosts that roamed the garden. It was quiet that night, no incidents happened. Katalyna couldn't stop thinking about what she had heard that night. Caesar Rafferty was a horrible man, or so much she was taught by her mother. Was this all not about his politics but about a personal feud between them? Katelyna made a horrible presumption...

Here’s the script for Annie’s Kitty Catastrophe.

One sunny day, me and the Little Einsteins were watching cute and funny cat videos on my computer. We made big anime eyes from the kitty’s cuteness and we laughed at the funny felines. But then the sound of the cat videos was drowned out by a very loud noise! In flew Big Jet. I asked him if he was here to watch cat videos too, but he said that cat videos were completely boring. We were just about to tell him it wasn’t a very nice thing to say, when suddenly, Big Jet brought out a friend he made. It was the witch! The very same witch from when Leo and Annie rescued Hansel and Gretel! She waved her magic wand and casted a spell on Annie, turning the 4 year old girl into a little white kitty cat! The witch and Big Jet laughed and they flew away. Annie didn’t want to be a cat. She loved it best when she was a girl. Leo didn’t want his little sister to be sad, so he picked her up and told her that Rocket and the rest of the team can help us stop those two meanies. All we have to do is get the wand away from the witch and I can use it to change Annie from a cat and back into a girl. So, we got on board Rocket and blasted off! We searched everywhere for Big Jet and the witch. Luckily, Annie heard them because cats have incredible ears, which have lots of muscles inside so they can turn their ears to the sounds they’re listening to. We found out they were hiding near the pancake rocks of New Zealand. We soon found them, when all of a sudden, Big Jet had the witch use her wand to make sticky blobs of chewing gum, causing Rocket to get stuck to the floor and one of the big pancake rocks was going to fall and squash us like a bug! So June helped Rocket get out of the sticky gum trap by doing the wiggle dance. Rocket wiggled and wiggled and wiggled until at last, he was free! And they were just in time too. They left New Zealand until Annie smelled jet fuel. That’s because cats have a great sense of smell. She knew Big Jet was near. He and the witch were at Daytona Beach in Florida. Rocket tried to catch them, but the witch used her wand and made a giant cage made out of Swedish fish candy! We were trapped again! Rocket tried to get out, but there was no door. Luckily, I knew what to do. I made a door by eating my way through the Swedish fish cage’s wall. I ate and ate and ate until we were free! Then, Rocket used his look and listen scope to find that Big Jet & the Witch were now at the big woods of Arkansas. So, we raced there super fast!
