Tuesday
The sisters were always up way before sunset. And as Desiree had promised to her daughter, her and Esmee too care of the little problem with Officer Esmeralda Stone.
Elvira was alone in the mornings as Kathy went to work early and her mom and aunt wouldn't come out of their strange locked room before she went to school. The bus came as she played with her fishes and took her to the prestigious private school her an all her relatives attended.
Esmee: Hurry up sister! Tomoko is in town for her Tai Chi lesson!
So the sisters flew over to the old abandoned building that once held a company. They would soon meet up with Tomoko Kato, a befriended witch from Nekojima.
But Tomoko was late once again and so the sisters occupied themselves with the little amenities the lot had to offer.
After dealing with a couple of impertinent men, Tomoko finally arrived and the Tai Chi lesson could start
Esmee: Good to see you, Tomoko. It's a shame you made us wait again, but we're all looking forward to the lesson. Tomoko: Oh, you know, the flight was horrible. the weather, the weather! The weather over the ocean is always unpredictible! By the way, we have a new member today: This is Daytona, she's the mayor of Widespot, you might have heard of her? Desiree: A mayor? What an honor to meet you! Esmee: Can we now please start!
Katelyna was home before her mother and aunt, she didn't know where they went, but she knew that they left the house almost every day together.
The sisters would be home at 14:30 straight, so that Esmee could fix lunch for Elvira. Even if the girl usually had already eaten at school.
That evening, Esmee had just helped Elvira with her homework and sent er to her room, the phone rang...
Esmee: Rotspatz? ??: Desiree, is that you? Esmee: No, it's me, Esmee. Caesar, is that you? Caesar: Of course, who else? It's time we finally stop this charade! Katelyna has a right to know I am her father! I want her in my life! Esmee: You forfeit your right to be in her life the moment you dumped my sister! Stop calling Rafferty! None of us will ever allow Katalyna to meet you!
With that she hung up without accepting another word of Caesar Rafferty.
Katalyna heard her name from the kitchen. Her aunt tried to act normal, but she knew something was going on. Caesar Rafferty, could that really be?
When her aunt and mother went to bed, Katalyna stayed up for a long time and watched the ghosts that roamed the garden. It was quiet that night, no incidents happened. Katalyna couldn't stop thinking about what she had heard that night. Caesar Rafferty was a horrible man, or so much she was taught by her mother. Was this all not about his politics but about a personal feud between them? Katelyna made a horrible presumption...

Tomisaburo Wakayama in The Young Rebels (Keisuke Kinoshita, 1980) Cast: Go Kato, Tomisaburo Wakayama, Junko Mihara, Tatsuya Okamoto, Tomoko Saito. Screenplay: Keisuke Kinoshita. Cinematography: Masao Kosugi. The title of Keisuke Kinoshita's polemical pseudo-documentary, The Young Rebels, sounds like that of a Hollywood film from the 1950s, the era of naive, sensational, and didactic dramas about "juvenile delinquency." Which is exactly what The Young Rebels turns out to be: an exploitation film about why kids go wrong. The answer is a simple one: their parents. The kids, Kinoshita is saying, are not all right: They ride around on motorcycles, they cut school, they shoplift, and they have sex. This was not exactly news in 1980: Nagisa Oshima, for example, was onto these facts in 1960, when he made Cruel Story of Youth, and he blamed it on dysfunctional parenting in 1969's Boy. But Oshima's films are about people more than they are about problems. Kinoshita has lost sight of the people in his obsession with the problem, and the result is a scattershot film designed to ferret out examples of parental irresponsibility both high -- affluent parents who are so obsessed with climbing the corporate or social ladders that they either ignore their children or spoil them -- and low -- parents who are so mired in poverty and its attendant ills like alcoholism and crime that they abuse their children. The narrative framework of the film is as simplistic as its point of view: a journalist goes in search of answers and interviews children and parents. Kinoshita is enough of an artist that he knows how to tell the several stories uncovered by the journalist, which gives The Young Rebels enough dramatic substance to keep the polemic at bay during the storytelling, but the piling on of miseries turns into overkill. Eventually, the journalist visits a kind of reform school in Hokkaido, the north of Japan, where wayward boys are nurtured back into society -- but there's even some recidivism there. At the end, the point seems to be that every kid needs a loving mother and father -- the Japanese title translates as a cry for help: "Father! Mother!" It has been pointed out that people raised children for millennia until, sometime in the mid-20th century, they became self-conscious about it and turned it into a problem. Kinoshita's humorless and even hopeless polemic does little to solve the problem, especially when the film often seems bogged down in fogeyism: A scene of joyriding motorcycle gangs, for example, is treated as a vision from hell.

Tomoko: “I invited you today to receive Tsuki’s gift for you. She’s very proud of Shiori. She hopes you will be pleased with her kitten.”
Miko: “Oh! She looks cute! Thank you, Tsuki.”
Tomoko: “If Utagawa-san objects, I will speak to him.”
Miko: “I’m sure he won’t. He loves cats as much as the rest of us.”
Tsuki: You will be going with our new priestess, young one.
Shiori: I understand what I am to do.
Shiori: Greetings Priestess. I am called Shiori.
Tsuki: She does not understand our speech.
Shiori: She doesn’t? Why not? Shouldn’t she?
Tsuki: She will. It takes time.
Miko: “Look at you! You’re so sweet!”

Tomoko: Zombie ex-wife?
Sameera: Bad time to open that can of worms? Or uh, coffin of worms?
Tomoko: Fascinating! I have not met a zombie in years. One washed up on the shore back in Nekojima once, poor thing, she was half-dead again when I found her, I had to throw another resurrection spell to save her-
Valentine: *interrupts* Do you have anyone that can drive you back to Nekojima? To the harbor at least, so you can take the boat.
Tomoko: Silly man, I have magivestigium! Transportation will never be an issue with me.
