had a package arriving today. took a nap. eventful day so far

I didn't sleep well that night.

There was no correlation to that and the very worrying conclusions that came from the strangers who'd gotten a hold of my comm number. Not in the slightest.

It was a relief when sunrise came, and at the first hint of the sky lightening I stumbled outside and onto the hill above my base.

I sat in the grass to watch it come up.

I never tired of watching the sunrise.

The sunlight kissed my face as I tilted my head up to catch it. I let my eyes close, enjoying the simple pleasure of it.

For the first time since I could remember, I was happy.

Something in the way it ached told me I hadn't been happy for a long time before that. It was as bittersweet as a glistering melon.

I let myself bask in the sunlight until another message buzzed through my comm, pulling me out of my thoughts and back to the present.

I needed to go check out that mineshaft.

I answered as many messages as I could stand while I gathered the supplies I would need for a mining trip. Surely it wouldn't hurt to get geared up, even if I found nothing that could tell me anything about why I was here.

It was surreal, facing it again.

I inspected the entrance, but there was nothing apart from the rough wood and the leaves and the swallow dip I'd fallen into when I'd first arrived into this world.

So, I ventured deeper.

There was a dark hole at the back of the tunnel, vines and ladders and leading down into the depths. I used the vines to climb down, not trusting the ancient ladders.

It was so different, compared to the typical abandoned mine.

For one, it was practically overgrown. And the supports were made from cobblestone instead of the typical oak wood.

There were still cobwebs though. And plenty of ore.

I spent a while exploring the passages and digging up all the iron and coal I could get my hands on. It was crucial to get enough iron to make tools and armor and weapons for when I eventually came across things trying to kill me.

There was another silk cocoon. I found an enderpearl inside of this one.

It was a relief to know there would be some way of gathering resources from mobs I couldn't kill. Even if it meant scooping up their remains from these weird silk things.

Even more of a reason to find as many resources as I could this trip. Enderman and skeletons had spawned in this world once, even if they weren't now. The could again.

I also found a new ore in the walls of this cave, but it crumbled in a way that told me I would need an iron pick to knock it out of the stone around it.

I went to pull up some of the spruce wood to use for a crafting bench, when I heard a call from down the tunnel.

That didn't sound like anything I'd ever heard before.

I followed the sounds to a little gray creature, wearing a backpack and some sort of cloak.

When I walked up to it, he gave a little cheer and puffed away in a ball of smoke and the vwoop of a teleport.

I could still hear it. The little guy hadn't gone far. And he was still taunting me. I followed the calls again.

And again.

Was it playing? It sure seemed to be playing hide and seek with me.

After I found it the third time, It tossed me a pouch from it's bag before it disapeared. There was an enchanted iron pick inside. It only had unbreaking and efficiency, but it was made of iron!

I wouldn't have to wait to smelt my own iron ore to get that new ore I'd found. I went back for it, and pulled as much as I could out of the stone walls before following the cave deeper.

It spat out into a big cavern on deepslate level. Hopefully I could find some diamonds down here. That would do leaps and bounds for me. If I had enough, I would be able to build my own enchanting table.

Without books I wouldn't be able to get very strong enchantments, but at least it would be a start.

I found more strange rocks in this cave,

The red and white stuck out against the deepslate like a beacon in the sky, and I broke off several chunks to experiment with when I got back to base.

It was softer than the deepslate at least. It didn't take long to get plenty of it. And it was pretty enough I would likely want to come back for more. I noted down the coordinates. At least I could still write notes to myself on this new comm.

I had a feeling that I hadn't figured out how to use it completely yet.

I followed the cave to it's deepest dead end, and when i turned to retrace my steps, I saw a glimer from the corner of my eye.

Diamonds. Finally.

I turned to share the good news, excitement racing shivers down my arms.

Why wasn't there someone there? I was expecting someone else.

My excitement was doused with a bucket full of numb confusion. It took the breath from my chest, slumping me against the cold deepslate. My torch clattered to the ground. It had slipped from my hand.

I was homesick. Homesick for someone I had no memories of. I could almost hear her laughter echoing in the cave if I tipped my ears just right--

Why was I crying? I'd just found diamonds! I climbed my way up and pried them out of the deepslate, before moving on. If I could find a few more, I would be able to have enough for that enchanting table.

Instead I stumbled upon skulk. I didn't want to tangle with a warden. At least not until I had enchanted diamond armor and a powerful bow, so it was time to head back.

I followed my torches back to the surface, stumbling over the stupid slippers I still hadn't replaced with something better.

I was going to make boots in the morning. I was sick of aching feet.

When I got back to my base, I shoved iron ore and coal into my furnace to smelt as I slept. It would keep my little shelter warm during the night.

As soon as my head hit the pillow, I was out like a light.

What the frick is "I was fine with skipping eating for a few days" ? Are they still talking about their childhood? And when they didn't eat, they were fine with skipping eating?

Are we supposed to believe that if Billy wasn't Billy (maybe Nabatean metabolism makes them not need food as frequently as humans?) Jerry would have thought it'd be fine if his kid didn't eat for several days straight???

Coupled with the fact that this same game showed us Jerry goes to celebratory feasts alone (without billy) and it's not the first time...

I guess Rhea was so BaD that it justified letting Billy not eat for maybe one day or two!

in a way it's her fault if Jerry let his kid starve bcs she's EvIl and it's not jerry's fault if he is a trash father who doesn't feed his kid at times :(

I have a theory regarding the Spain trip. As a preface, I'll say I believe for various reasons L and A are done since at least after the Italy trip.

So, a photo of L and A from the GQ event, the day she was wearing a tight long black dress and he a black silky shirt, appeared on my ig fyp today. I noticed that their haircuts there match their haircuts in Spain. Hers hasn't changed significantly during the whole summer but his hair grew quite a lot. In Spain it appears longer than after the WT but shorter than in Italy. After looking a bit, I found another photo of L from GQ (https://www.instagram.com/p/C9FoNwaxm7j/?igsh=aXNybjRmcTNuNmZy - pic 4) where a few strands of his hair fall on his forehead the same way they do in the cake selfie. As he probably grows his hair for s4, I don't think he'd cut it again after Italy. This made me think they went to Spain in close proximity to GQ, perhaps right after.

One of the TT creators shared she spoke with someone who works in PR, who said this kind of deals with hotels can be flexible but usually the celeb will have to post within the same quarter, so it means L could have been there anytime since the beginning of July. The GQ event was 3-5 of July, L posted the photos from Spain on September 7.

Why post now and not closer to the actual trip in the high of the vacation season? And if L and A are done how did she know to post her story a day before him? His last post before Spain was on July 6 and then he disappeared due to all the hate. I think this is when he went to Spain, exactly 2 months before he posted the photos from the vacation, which makes sense as a deadline deal-wise. As he wouldn't have wanted to receive hateful comments on a promo post, it also makes sense that he waited the longest he could before posting it, so the hate would die down. The last few weeks we witnessed L slowly coming back to sm - the bloopers stories, MD's posts, N's post - and he indeed started to get nicer comment, so safer time for him to finally post it. A must have known the deadline so she posted a day before him to let us know she was there with him. However, as I believe they are no longer together, he made sure to choose photos that make it look like he was there alone or at the very least not on a romantic vacation.
