David Howard Thornton, who stars as Art the Clown in Terrifier 3, hopes to take on the iconic role of the Joker after the horror franchise.

In an interview with Gamesradar, he expressed his admiration for the Joker, calling him his favorite villain and hoping that someone like James Gunn would give him the chance to portray the character.

Thornton, a self-professed comic book fan, has admired the Joker since childhood and feels his acting versatility could bring something new to the famous role.

I feel the need to share the fact in my latest interview with David Howard Thornton AKA Art The Clown that he chose The Phantom of the Opera as a character he'd like to tackle as he's loved it for so long. He's also a classically trained musician so he could play the music for real. And he's a sweetheart and I feel could really nail that angst, anger, and romantic side if given the shot. Also he's a fantastic Joker.
