Morning everyone. I'm posting about how I missed the concerts of Falling In Reverse, Hawthorne Heights and Wage War love at the Hollywood Palladium last night. I have begged my parents to let me go see them, sent my mom countless texts about the cheap concert tickets but she didn't reply to a single one of my texts, and then my dad is having car issues and can't drive far distances like to LA and places like that. we can ONLY drive in our cites and to Temecula but that is IT. And for my mom, she's having "money issues" and shit. And I'm not even gonna pull the wanting to see Black Veil Brides, Motionless In White and Ice Nine Kills at the Hollywood Palladium on March 18th along with wanting to see AFI with Cold Cave ALSO Palying at the Hollywood Palladium on October 22nd And seeing Rammstein Playing at the Los Angeles Collosium on September 23rd Card either. So yeah. Maybe when I get my new California ID in the mail, go to the Social Security place get a form to fill out and mal t out to them with my State ID and then wait a week or 2 to get everything back in the and then take everything to the Youth Empowerment Work Center and then I can finally get a Job, save up my money and go to all the concerts that are listed In this post.

Whoa! Thanks to the tip from @musicthelifeblood we learned that Son of Sam will soon be reactivated. This is great news! If you like Samhain, chances are you will really dig this band. Son of Sam put out a couple of albums in the early 2000s. Band members have included Steve Zing and Londay May (both in Samhain), Davey Havok (AFI) on vocals on the first album, Ian Thorne (vox on album 2), and Todd Youth on guitar. I know you’re dying to know: I prefer the second album, Into The Night.

AFI’s “Sing the Sorrow” Turns 16

On March 11, 2003, when I was on the verge of turning 16, @AFI released their major-label debut, Sing the Sorrow. Now that I am on the verge of turning 32, I have spent half my life with this album, and AFI is a band that served as a springboard to so many other bands. Needless to say, it’s an important album from an important band.  In addition to the B-sides for Sing the Sorrow, some of which weren’t released until 2009 as bonuses to Crash Love, most fans also tend to view the songs off the 336 EP, released in 2002, as forming the complete Sing the Sorrow. Additionally, some of the 336 songs appeared on the Japanese-edition of Sing the Sorrow. As a result, Sing the Sorrow, as we could call it, can be said to encompass around 20 songs. It is an epic album that won’t ever get old.  Below is “Reiver’s Music,” one of my favorite songs off Sing the Sorrow: 

This summer, AFI will tour with Smashing Pumpkins and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, including a stop on Friday, August, 30th, 2019, at the Banc of California Stadium, the new stadium at Exposition Park. Tickets for the LA show are not on sale yet, but the San Diego show has pit tickets for around $200 each.
