Right then, next batch of bts shots. This time for the #theterror I’ve got loads of these so I won’t drop them all now, I’ll save a few for down the line ;) First up I’m thrilled to see it has found a new home on #netflix. We are all so proud of the show and very thankful it is finally in a place plenty of people can see it. It was a labour of love to make it, 6 long cold months in Budapest and then 5 mad weeks in the sun in Croatia but we knew we were involved in something special from the very first day. That said the reception the show received from people who really took it to heart was greater than any of us dared believe. It has continued to have a life far beyond the screen and to know it’s made a lasting impact on people is just amazing. I love Jopson and all he means to fans of the show and it’s been a joy to look back on these photos and all the memories attached. So here you go…! Main pic - me as Jopson, scurvy setting in. Pic 1 - me and the main man Dave Kajganich, writer and show runner. This was taken just after shooting a moment that was maybe going to make it into the Jopson hallucination sequence but was cut from the final edit. Pic 2 - an actor prepares 😂 or maybe just catching a few zzzs in between takes 😜 Pic 3&4 - The first go at Jopsons ‘look’. The beard had to go. Pic 5 - with these guys in charge they’d have never got stuck in the pack ice 😂 Pic 6 - Terror boys difficult 2nd album cover 😂 Pic 7 - shooting begins onboard the terror, is that a tuunbaaq they’re looking at?!? Pic 8 - chillin between scenes. Seb loves having his photo taken 😘 Pics 9,10&11 - what the soundstage looked like with the terror in the ice. A full 1 to 1 replica of the ship. The story behind how it was built for the show is amazing. Too long to go into here but truly remarkable. The magic of the movies! These shitheads.

Not a single one of them wanted to help Helen, because they were safe. They would have banded together and testified that they had not seen Miles burn the napkin. Bam. All of them would have been of to their carefree, rich lives again and could have sucked on Miles golden tit for how long they needed it.

Then Helen starts smashing the little glass statues and at one point they chime in. Why not? A bit of broken glass would not have destroyed their relationship with Miles, so they were able to let of some steam. Afterall they hate him, all of them did not like him from the very beginning and only started to act nice when he was of use to them. So he used them as well.

Miles and the shitheads are all the same.

At the end they realise that Miles is going down, so again they band together and get rid of him. No change of heart, moral or anything. Just calculating. They will search for a new golden tit to suck on because they are in it for themselves. That was always their motive and will be their motive forever because rich people band together to get their things.

And if one of them is not useful anymore, they get rid of them with any means necessary. Everyone else doesn't matter.

Moments in Kinks-related books that I can't stop thinking about, no matter if it's happy, horrible, or sad :

-Michael Aldred. It was really interesting to see Ray's perspective. It was funny to see how he mentioned the word "friendship" right after writing about how Michael listened to the walls at the Connaught Gardens house. And also, Dave's recollection of their breakup. (X-Ray and Kink).

-Staying on the Michael Aldred topic, the fact that he was already trying to hit on Dave the first time they met during Ready, Steady, Go!. And Dave jokingly(?) punching Pete because... I don't remember what Pete did (Ray Davies: A Complicated Life).

-Mitch Mitchell almost joining The Kinks after the Cardiff incident (X-Ray, Kink and Americana I think?).

-["Where the fuck did the Greenlaw come from ?"] (X-Ray, I need to find the page again)

-Ray comparing Pete leaving the band to a divorce. (X-Ray)

-The whole David Watts bit aka. Ray attempts to sell his brother's hand to a man in exchange for a mansion after finding out the guy was gay with Mick's help.
