Dasha Burns and Alexandra Marquez at NBC News:
Former President Donald Trump said that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. would have a “big role in the administration” if he wins on Tuesday, telling NBC News in a phone interview that he was open to some of his more controversial ideas. Kennedy, who ran for president as an independent this year before dropping his bid and endorsing Trump, has long spread conspiracies and falsehoods about vaccines and other public health matters. He has, for example, frequently claimed that vaccines are linked to autism, even though for decades, studies have debunked this theory. Asked Sunday whether banning certain vaccines would be an option during a second term, the former president didn’t rule it out.
“Well I’m going to talk to [Kennedy] and talk to other people, and I’ll make a decision, but he’s a very talented guy and has strong views,” Trump said. Trump declined to talk about specific roles Kennedy might play in his administration, but in recent public appearances, Trump has made clear that he is envisioning a prominent role for him. “He can do anything he wants,” Trump said during an event Thursday in Arizona. He said that Kennedy was “going to work on health and women’s health,” and two sources close to the Trump campaign have told NBC News that he might play a prominent role in battling “chronic childhood disease.” On Friday, Kennedy tweeted that on its first day in office, a Trump administration would push to ban fluoride in water, claiming it is “industrial waste” that leads to problems like cancer and other diseases.
Donald Trump, with the influence of anti-vaxxer extremist RFK Jr. in his orbit increasing, does not rule out a ban on certain vaccines if he is elected.
Stop anti-vaxxer lunacy, vote Kamala Harris!

Mafia!Nikto x reader
(this is just something I've written when bored at work, don't take it seriously!)
Having someone special in his life wasn't something Nikto was expecting, especially a wife, but seemed like destiny had other plans for him. Life as a mafia lord was full of business deals and sometimes those deals included weird things, like when he made an agreement with a group from Madagascar and ended up getting a hyena as a ‘gift’. He named her Sputnik.
This time wasn't different. They've been discussing a gun deal with the British for some months and finally had reached the final contract, there was only one problem: Nikto would never accept their final request. A marriage. Your uncle was eager to get rid of you and decided that marrying you with some crazy Russian you've never met before was a great idea.
Obviously Nikto refused, he had already things enough to deal with, and he hated the idea of sharing his space with someone else. So why did he signed the papers after seeing your photo? Why did he ordered his housekeeper, Dasha, to prepare the whole second floor of the east wing of his house just for you? Why did he ordered Dasha to bring you fresh flowers every morning? Why did he ordered one of his men to find out everything you liked and simply set up everything to make his house perfect for you? For the sake of the deal, of course.
There wasn't no ceremony, he just signed the papers and the lawyer send it up for you to sign too, and even when you moved to his house you didn't saw him. He'd spend his days locked on his office, the only contact between the two of you being the texts you exchanged sometimes.
Until one day you went out with your friends, and your bodyguard of course, and ended up drinking a bit too much. The first thing you did as you set your foot inside the house, late at night, was head to his room, not even bothering knocking before entering, finding him sitting on his bed with some papers in hand and his back leaned against the wall.
Oh, this wasn't the sight you were expecting. That massive, scary and scarred russian had the most beautiful bright eyes staring at you in pure shock. He expected you to run away, scream or look at him with disgust at the sight of his burned and scarred face completely exposed. Instead, you closed the door, let your bag fall on the ground and walked to him, sitting in front of him on the bed.
None of you said anything for several seconds, his anxiety hidden behind his stoic face, his voices going overdrive as every second went by.
–You’re my husband.
Was the first thing you say, staring into his face with mixed feelings, curiosity and surprise crossing your eyes.
–Да.
His voice wasn't what you expected either, it wasn't as deep as he looked like he'd have, but it was still rich and heavily accented. Hot. You stretched your hand, smiling at him like someone meeting a new friend.
–I’m Y/N, your wife. Nice to meet you.
Oh, his heart fluttered at your smile. You didn't seem scared or disgusted by his scars at all, you were just… so incredibly bright. Like a whole set of Christmas lights. He took your hand in his, his touch as gentle as it could've been against your soft skin.
–Nice to meet you…
He was entranced, completely hypnotized by you. You two kept staring at each other in pure silence like the two weird things you were, not sure what to say or how to act.
Maybe this agreement wasn't so bad after all.

Who Are You? Where To Find Yourself in a Chart. Part 1.
We know how important it is to know ourselves. Last time, I gave you here a list of the main indicators but the aim was to find your Lunar sign, or your core nakshatra. Here, we go deeper into the layers of our minds.
After that, in my next post, I will recap the divisional charts that will help you delve deeper.
The List of the Indicators
Moon: This is a crucial planet to look at. In India, it is generally considered to be your birth nakshatra. The Moon defines your Vimshottari Dasha, or future, as soon as you were born. She shows your psychological and biological karma, your mind and the way you move in society. The Moon indicates your emotions, desires and past life experiences as well. These experiences will still reflect in your behavior today. These experiences, emotions, thoughts come and go like the waves of the sea.
Ascendant/Rising Sign (Lagna): It shows how you integrate yourself with society but in a physical way. In other words, it shows how you present yourself and how your life's environment looks like. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, IT SHOWS WHERE YOU FOCUS. Any planet situated in your first house (using the whole sign system), will sit permanently in your head.
Sun: It is a significant planet as it is your battery. How can you live without energy? How can you live without the Sun?... It is impossible. Here, the Sun represents your vitality, your health, your spiritual development and your righteous actions.
The Ascendant Lord (or Lagna Lord/LL or Lagnesha): It shows the same things as the ascendant but in a more active way. It shows how you get nourishment, your passion in life. It also shows where you focus. The Lagna Lord indicates where your intelligence is best applied and what kind of situations you deal with since early age.
Dharma Lord: It is not commonly used but from my experience, it works wonderfully. It is the planet which is related to your lagna nakshatra (e.g, if your lagna is in Purva Ashadha, then, Venus becomes your Dharma Lord). This planet becomes the Lord of your dharma or righteous duty. It shows you the path and the challenges you will encounter, as well as the solutions to them.
Atmakaraka (AK): The Atmakaraka is the significator of your soul. It is the planet with the highest degree in your chart. It represents your difficult karmas to burn and how to deal with them. This karma trash resonates with the nature of your AK planet, therefore, you will behave the opposite way to how this planet is supposed to behave in the end. It also shows your potential, what is important for you and how you realize yourself.
Ketu: Ketu denotes your past life experiences, like the Moon but unlike her, Ketu does not behave like the sea waves, but it actually behaves like a place where you stock your former behavioral patterns and experiences. It can be compared to your subconscious. It represents our true, hidden, nature but we are mostly unaware of it. It is also the place where we get bored because we had experienced these areas too much before, hence Ketu being called as “comfort zone” even though, it is not always very comfortable due to being boring. This boredom will attract you to Rahu, its opposite polarity, the unknown, exciting jungle.
Mahadasha Lord: Using the Vimshottari dasha, your current Maha Dasha Lord, which rules your current period of life, will impact your mind and behavior. It will not last for ever but it stays there for a couple of years, so, you cannot neglect it.
The first syllable of your first name: Don't forget your first name! The two first sounds of your name corresponds to a particular nakshatra. Even if there is no planet sitting there in your birth chart, this nakshatra will also influence your behavior and life. Themes of this nakshatra will definitely play out in your life.
The secondary indicators
Mercury: Mercury is the planet of rationality. It is your rational intellect. It shows how you manage your daily routine challenges in life, as well as other practical knowledge. It shows the way you learn, and the way you express yourself.
Rahu: Rahu shows your biggest obsessions. It represents your most intense desires. It is actually about illusory desires because once they are fulfilled, you still want more. It is a place where you are always unsatisfied, hence frustration. You might get so annoyed that you totally give up on your Rahu, which leads you automatically to your Ketu, and you stay there. But Ketu, even though it is comfortable, you end up getting bored, and in the end, you go back to your Rahu. It is the endless cycle of the nodes, which were initially one body (Svarbhanu): one cannot leave the other. Rahu also represents the unknown fields for you, which also lead to fears. As it represents the unknown, you are quite new to what Rahu represents in your chart, hence you are likely to act awkwardly there.
Arudha Lagna: It represents the appearance made by the Maya, the material illusion of our environment. This is the appearance that all strangers will see from you at first. It is your image, e.g, your image on the social media, your reputation in general... This appearance is all made up: it is rarely linked to your true self. But it explains why people behave a certain way with you and not another. The Lord of this lagna should be taken into account too.
Aries: This sign represents the first house in the original kaal purush kundli. The house it occupies, the planets that sit and aspect there will remain in your head. In other words, you will also focus on them.
Cancer, the Fourth house: They both represent the peace of mind, your privacy, and most importantly, your heart. What does your heart desire? The house Cancer occupies, any planet sitting, aspecting Cancer and the fourth house will show you what.

8th Lord periods for each Rising sign- Part 1 ⚠︎
8th Lord periods whether it is dasha or bhukti can be challenging. Let's see the possible issues faced by each rising sign during the 8th lord dasha or bhukti.
Note that you need to know your dasha schedule to know when you may face these issues.
Aries Rising : Mars is 8th lord and also the ascendant lord. So, Mars periods can be intensely transformative for aries risings. They may go undergo some surgery, possible accidents and also major identity changes. This can be almost like a rebirth for them.
Taurus Rising: Jupiter is the 8th lord and also the 11th lord. Jupiter can bring major changes in one's social status and finance. There may be sudden gain of wealth as well as sudden loss of income. The taurus rising may have issues with taxes as well. There may be problems through friends and elder siblings.
Gemini Rising : Saturn is the 8th lord and boy it's not an easy period for Gemini natives. Saturn is naturally a malefic so the suffering can continue for long as opposed to short moving planets like sun moon Mercury venus Mars. Saturn is also the 9th lord. So gemini rising may face issues with their fathers mentors gurus elders bosses and their university education (if it's the right age). Saturn may give struggles in understanding as 8th and 9th lord. There may be spiritual transformations but that comes from a long period of struggle penance and discovery. Saturn can also indicate burning of bad karmas through health issues.
Cancer Rising : Similar to gemini rising, saturn rules their 8th house but it rules 7th house simultaneously. So cancer rising may struggle in marriage relationships in laws and business partnerships. Saturn may also bring economic problems to the spouse. Saturn may bring chronic health issues as the 8th lord. Saturn may also bring problems in inheritance.
Leo Rising : Jupiter is the 8th lord and its also the 5th lord. Jupiter can bring issues with children for Leo rising. In extreme cases there can be loss of children (even while giving birth or just after). Jupiter can bring issues with finance, investments and cause loss in speculation but can also lead to gain in these. Overall Jupiter can give mixed results.
Virgo Rising: Mars is the 8th lord and its also the 3rd lord. Mars is a difficult planet for virgo rising. Mars can bring conflicts with in laws, siblings (especially younger), and neighbours. Mars can bring problems with marriage as well. Mars can bring some accidents as it rules 3rd house of travel and linked to 8th house. Overall, this can be a very difficult period for Virgos.

Goddess Bhairavi Talon Abraxas
Devi Bhairavi - The Most Powerful Tantric Goddess
Who is Mahavidya Tripura Bhairavi?
Devi Bhairavi, the fifth of Mahavidyas, is the goddess of creation, maintenance, and destruction. The name Bhairavi means “frightful,” “terrible,” “horrible,” or “formidable.” Devi Bhairavi is a fierce goddess whose name brings fear in all three worlds.
Bhairavi is responsible for creating that is followed by destruction. She is also known as Tripura Bhairavi, which is associated with three lokas or three worlds.
She bears aspects of Agni (Fire), Vidyut (lightning), and Surya (Sun), encompassing gods like Indra, Surya, and Agni. She is the goddess of Kundalini, a divine form of energy situated as the base of the spine. This is also why worshiping Devi Bhairavi almost always consists of meditation which will help awaken Kundalini.
The goddess of destruction is the consort of Kala Bhairava, the aggressive form of Lord Shiva hence also known as Kala Bhairavi. Goddess Kali is known as the most primordial form of energy (Adi Shakti). She is worshiped in ten different forms known as Dasa Mahavidyas, the fifth of which is Bhairavi. That is also the reason she shares so many characteristics with Goddess Kali. She glorifies the supreme power of speech, which is empowered by the ferocity of the burning fire, Tejas.
She is a feared goddess by all doers of evil as well as good. Though fearsome, her only motive is to continue the cycle of destruction and creation in this world. She is a mother who has unconditional love for all her children and can go to any limits to protect her beloved. A famous deity in Tantra Vidhya, goddess bhairavi holds a special position in all forms of worship.
Unlike the Trinity-god Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva, who control one form of life and world creation, maintenance, and destruction, goddess bhairavi has control over all three aspects of life. She is a fierce form of the goddess, but she has great consciousness, which is remarkable. She dispels negative forces that try to curb spiritual growth.
Devi Bhairavi Mantras to Chant for Transformation: Bhairavi Mool Mantra ॐ ह्रीं भैरवी कलौं ह्रीं स्वाहा॥ Om Hreem Bhairavi Kalaum Hreem Svaha॥
“ॐ” is a sacred sound, known as the primordial sound of the universe in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. “ह्रीं” (pronounced as “hreem”) is a seed (bija) mantra associated with Shakti.
“भैरवी” is a term used to refer to the Goddess Parvati in her fierce form. “कलौं” is a bija mantra often used in tantric practices, associated with time and change. “स्वाहा” (pronounced as “swaha”) is often used at the end of mantras during ritualistic worship.

LETTERS FROM AN AMERICAN
April 12, 2025
Heather Cox Richardson
Apr 13, 2025
It was just 20 days ago—on March 24—that editor in chief of The Atlantic Jeffrey Goldberg reported that the most senior members of the Trump administration discussed a military strike on the Houthis in Yemen on an unsecure commercial messaging app and that they included him on the chat.
Their Signal chat, which Goldberg published later in response to the administration’s insistence that there was nothing classified in the chat, showed that Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth had posted precise details of the munitions and planes involved in the strikes. It showed that neither President Donald Trump nor the acting chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff—a Biden appointee—was on the chat, and that White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller apparently made the decision to strike based on his interpretation of what President Donald Trump wanted. In violation of the Presidential Records Act, the app was set to delete the messages. There was apparently no larger strategy or diplomatic plan other than to strike, and participants greeted news of the collapse of an apartment building into which a Houthi leader had allegedly walked with emojis of fists, fire, and a U.S. flag.
This extraordinary lapse in national security protections would normally have defined an administration and caused a number of resignations, but the White House called the case “closed” on March 31. And there was more: On April 2, Dasha Burns of Politico reported that the team working with national security advisor Mike Waltz regularly used the unsecure Signal app to communicate about issues involving Ukraine, China, Gaza, the Middle East, the U.S., and Europe. The officials to whom Burns spoke said they had personal knowledge of at least 20 such chats.
That story has been almost completely driven out of the news by President Donald Trump’s tariff machinations since April 2. On that day, after teasing the idea of what he called “Liberation Day,” Trump announced that at 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9, he would be imposing a 10% tariff on all imports to the United States, with significantly higher rates on countries he claims engage in unfair trade practices. By the next day it had been established that his team, led by trade advisor Peter Navarro, arrived at the tariff rates with a nonsensical formula that simply took the U.S. trade deficit with a country, divided it by the value of that country’s exports to the U.S., and cut the resulting number in half.
For the next week, the stock market plummeted, jumping only with rumors that Trump would back off on the tariffs, while economists and financial analysts revised the chances of inflation and recession upward, and economic growth downward. News coming out of the White House was contradictory: one advisor would say that Trump would not negotiate over tariffs and they were here to stay, while another would say he intended to negotiate and they were just starting points.
Meanwhile, as predicted, other countries began to put tariffs on goods from the United States or pause exports, and global markets fell. Americans from business leaders to small business owners to consumers and wage workers called out the “stupidity” of Trump’s trade war. Others noted that the tariffs appeared to be intended as a shakedown as countries or businesses who offered Trump the right price could get exemptions.
As trillions of dollars in stock values evaporated, Trump insisted the tariffs were here to stay. “I know what the hell I’m doing,” Trump told Republicans on Tuesday, April 8. He boasted that global leaders were “kissing my ass.” On Wednesday, April 9, at 9:33 a.m, he posted: “BE COOL! Everything is going to work out well. The USA will be bigger and better than ever before!” At 9:37, he posted “THIS IS A GREAT TIME TO BUY!!! DJT”
But, as Tyler Pager, Maggie Haberman, Ana Swanson, and Jonathan Swan of the New York Times reported, Trump’s team, led by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, was worried about setting off a financial panic that could not be stopped. Driving their concern was a broad sell-off of U.S. government bonds, which in the past investors had seen as a safe haven during times of market turmoil, and the rise in popularity of the government bonds of other countries.
Former treasury secretary Lawrence Summers noted that global financial markets were backing away from U.S. assets. Fund manager at Penn Mutual Asset Management George Cipolloni told Bernard Condon and Stan Choe of the Associated Press: “The fear is the U.S. is losing its standing as the safe haven. Our bond market is the biggest and most stable in the world, but when you add instability, bad things can happen.”
On April 8, U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer defended Trump’s tariffs to the Senate Finance Committee. He was offering similar testimony before the House Ways and Means Committee at 1:18 p.m. when a social media post from Trump pulled the rug out from under him. Trump paused most of the highest tariffs for 90 days and instituted an across-the-board tariff of 10% in their place. But, perhaps unwilling to look weak, he announced that he was raising tariffs on goods from China to 125% effective immediately, “[b]ased on the lack of respect that China has shown to the World’s Markets.”
With Trump’s tariff pause, stocks jumped upward in one of the biggest single-day gains since World War II. Hedge fund manager Spencer Hakimian posted a graph showing that Nasdaq call volume—bets that stock values would rise—spiked minutes before Trump’s announcement. He commented: “Not a good look at all.” Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) reposted Hakimian’s post and added: “Any member of Congress who purchased stocks in the last 48 hours should probably disclose that now. I’ve been hearing some interesting chatter on the floor. Disclosure deadline is May 15th. We’re about to learn a few things. It’s time to ban insider trading in Congress.”
David Smith of The Guardian noted that the juxtaposition of Trump golfing, dining with donors, and meeting with race car drivers even as economic chaos tanked people’s retirement accounts prompted accusations that he has lost touch with reality. A widely circulated video that appears to be Trump bragging to NASCAR drivers visiting the White House that investor Charles Schwab made $2.5 billion on Wednesday and that another investor made $900 million has fed anger at Trump’s economic chaos. On Friday the University of Michigan released its well-respected consumer-sentiment index, showing that consumer sentiment about the economy and personal finances fell for the fourth straight month, dropping 11% from March. Consumers from all political affiliations fear recession, inflation, and unemployment.
This level of consumer sentiment is the second lowest since the index began in 1952. Chief U.S. economist at Pantheon Macroeconomics Samuel Tombs told the Wall Street Journal’s Harriet Torry: “Consumers have spiraled from anxious to petrified.” James Knightley, the chief international economist at the multinational banking and financial services company ING, noted that consumers appear to blame Trump for their concerns. While in January 44% of respondents told researchers that the government was doing a poor job of managing inflation and unemployment, now 67% say so.
The change happened so quickly that White House officials could not tell reporters what the actual tariff rates were for different countries. When more information was available, Kevin Schaul of the Washington Post noted that Trump’s new tariff levies had actually increased tariffs rather than lowered them because he had dropped rates only on goods from countries that don’t export much to the U.S. He had raised them significantly—not just to 125% but to 145%—on China, a major trading partner.
On Friday, China imposed 125% tariffs on goods from the U.S. A spokesperson for the Chinese Finance Ministry said that Trump’s tariff machinations “will become a joke in the history of the world economy.” At 9:20 a.m. President Trump posted: “We are doing really well on our TARIFF POLICY. Very exciting for America, and the World!!! It is moving along quickly. DJT.” The new tariffs had badly threatened Apple Inc., and at 10:36 p.m. the U.S. Customs and Border Protection posted a notice that various electronics, including smartphone and computer monitors, are exempt from the tariffs.
When economist Justin Wolfers commented: “I just want to tip my hat to the crack team of White House economists who were able to discover—in just a few short days—that the U.S. is dependent on China for smartphones, computers and semiconductors.” Dr. Soumya Rangarajan noted that “a basic medicine we use 1000x per day in the hospital, heparin, is also dependent on China, and people will die without it.” As Sabrina Malhi of the Washington Post explained, about 12 million people hospitalized in the U.S. need heparin every year, and it is only one of the many medications that will be affected by Trump’s tariffs on goods from China.
Josh Marshall of Talking Points Memo posted that a “[g]ood way to see the current tariffs, as of literally today, is no tariffs on high value add manufactured goods marketed to middle and upper middle classes. Massive tariffs for cheap consumer items” that benefit those lower on the economic ladder.
While the damage from the tariffs both to the domestic and global economy, as well as the USA’s standing in the world, is not yet clear—all the chaos has been about the prospect of Trump’s high tariff rates, not their actual effect—Trump appears to be trying to downplay that story in favor of demonstrating his power.
As the tariff saga played out on Wednesday, Trump signed a memorandum for the heads of executive departments and agencies informing them that they no longer need to let the public know when they get rid of regulations that they determine are obviously unlawful. Kate Riga of Talking Points Memo notes that “unlawful” appears to mean anything Trump doesn’t like.
In a breathtaking violation of the Constitution, on Wednesday Trump also went after two individuals: Christopher Krebs and Miles Taylor. Trump appointed Krebs to head the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), where in 2020 Krebs assured the American people that the presidential election had not been stolen. Trump now claims Krebs thus censored the speech of Trump loyalists.
As a Department of Homeland Security staffer, Taylor wrote an op-ed under the pseudonym “Anonymous” saying that members of the first Trump administration were pushing back against the president’s policies. Taylor later wrote a book about his time in the White House that Trump claims was “designed to sow chaos and distrust in Government” and thus “could properly be characterized as treasonous and as possibly violating the Espionage Act.” A grand jury believed Trump himself violated the Espionage Act by retaining classified documents.
Trump stripped security clearances from Krebs and Taylor and also from their employers. He ordered government officials to investigate the two men and to recommend “appropriate remedial or preventative actions to be taken to protect America’s interests.” Employees at CISA told Kevin Collier of NBC News they were disheartened by the attack on Krebs and noted that staffing cuts at CISA had “already severely degraded our capacity to defend critical infrastructure.”

how are you gonna casually mention the symbolism behind dan's branding and not drop the entire essay, wth op... 😔
Mostly because if I write it, it'll take a lot of effort, and I think I'll be writing for an audience of one, LOL, given that I tend to get slightly technical with vedic astrology, and my whole thesis is based on vedic astrology, LMAO. And, bc this is already in my mind, I didn't really think to elaborate on it, given how much vedic astrology exposition I would have to do. But, I am itching at the seams to talk about it, so prepare for a long ass essay under the cut, ig
DISCLAIMER: I am not trying to say that any of this is REAL, I am simply pointing out coincidences and patterns that are interesting to me. While I believe in astrology, I don't expect others to, and I'm uninterested in arguing about the causes, effects, and underlying meaning of any of this. I just find it interesting
Basic thing is that Dan has Ketu (South Node) in the first house, and that is interesting, because Ketu is quite an invisible planet. Like, what it rules is authenticity, purity, soul purpose, divine inspiration, isolation. When you think of a planet like this, it's almost impossible for it to get famous, if that makes any sense. Fame would ruin the purity of a planet like this. The ideal expression of this planet is as a saint or a monk, away from the world.
Fortunately, this planet is always expressed to the masses through its opposite, Rahu (North Node). Rahu is a planet that rules glamour, the material world, fame, the occult. Rahu and Ketu are two halves of a whole, often symbolized by an immortal beheaded serpent. Ketu is considered to be the body of the serpent (lacking senses, but has the ability to move using muscle memory), and Rahu, the head of the serpent (ability to speak, think, see, focus, but unable to act). Having Ketu in first house means that Dan's Rahu is in the seventh house, the house of the partner.
Because Ketu is associated with purity, it's also associated with loss, fire, and doom. Kind of like, it burns down whatever is in its way, and what remains is the purest form of the object (According to hindu mythology, the material world is not real, and ashes, then, show the inherent nothingness of the world. brand appropriate for Dan). This is where we get into Dan's first symbolic brand, which is "danisnotonfire". With this branding, Dan sort of erases the effect of the firey nature of Ketu, and increase his Rahu. Funnily enough, according to the Vimshottari Dasha system, his Rahu dasha (activation period for Rahu) began in April 2009. I couldn't begin to make this shit up, because Dan started his twitter account in May 2009, a month after his rahu dasha started. This dasha will end in April 2027, btw.
With Rahu being in the house of the spouse, this name is also what attracted his partner to him (Phil has pretty significant Rahu in his chart, as well, which is why he is indicated by Rahu in Dan's chart, but Dan's Rahu is stronger, just harder for him to access, since it is not HIM). This partner also brought him fame and material gain.
Because Rahu is associated with glamour, it's also associated with inauthenticity, hoarding (material resources are simply not real), anxiety and, also... fun. Ketu is all about purity, doom and gloom, and meditation, but Rahu is about stimulation. If you get too into it, and base your life on it, it becomes anxiety inducing, but if you treat it as a video game you can log out of anytime, it starts to become fun and enjoyable. Unfortunately, this is very difficult for most people to do, because Rahu is the material reality that tries to trick you into thinking it is the most important thing in the world.
Rahu and Ketu require for there to be a balance, basically, for their ideal expressions, because excess of Ketu brings depression and inertia, while excess of Rahu brings anxiety and overstimulation. They are natural cures for one another. Rahu and Ketu are also not real planets, and they are mathematical points that are meant to show the timings for... eclipses. Yes, a classic Dan Branding!!!!
The best way to deal with Rahu and Ketu is by enjoying Rahu, and then burning down the Rahu with Ketu whenever it gets too anxiety inducing. So, when Dan got tired of the inauthenticity of Rahu, he basically burned down the danisnotonfire brand, to be more authentic to himself. And, during this time as Daniel Howell (his true self, in a way), he posted less, and he came out as gay to be true to himself (Ketu authenticity).
Because he actively tried to strengthen his Ketu during this time, he also lost a lot of projects he meant to do (ketu rules loss, if you guys remember), and had a bit of a difficult time. Ketu isn't an easy planet to deal with, AT ALL. Strong Ketu means dealing with constant failures, dislike from other people, and being forcibly isolated in many ways. That said, Ketu is still a force to be reckoned with, and if something is successful even when Ketu is strong, it's considered extremely important, materially as well as spiritually, because it is divinely guided, and Dan executed some of his absolute best work during this time, as well, as is natural for ketu.
Anyway, Dan's new return to youtube is marked by... DanandPhilGames, the channel where he is with Phil, who represents his Rahu. With Phil, he can gain a lot of success, because Rahu allows you to do the fun and silly projects that Ketu will never let you do.
I think that's maybe all of it? If you guys have any questions, feel free to ask, LMAO
TL;DR
Rahu is inauthentic material life and also fun, ketu is authentic spirituality and also depression, Dan's Ketu is him by himself, and his Rahu is Phil. Dan's eclipse shirt brings balance to his Rahu and Ketu, his danisnotonfire brand reduced the impact of Ketu into his life, and also got his partner into his life, and the DanandPhilGames brand does a similar thing as danisnotonfire did.

APR 28
READ IN APP
Last night a new club opened in the wealthy Georgetown neighborhood in Washington, D.C. It’s called “Executive Branch,” and it’s an invitation-only club backed by Donald Trump Jr. and megadonor Omeed Malik. Dasha Burns of Politico reported that it costs more than half a million dollars to join. The exclusive club is designed to allow top business executives to talk privately with Trump advisors and cabinet members. Burns reports that the club already has a waiting list.
When then-candidate Donald Trump celebrated the administration of President William McKinley, it was always clear he saw it as the triumphant marriage of the very rich to the U.S. government. It was the era of so-called robber barons, industrialists and financiers who flooded political campaigns with money to convince voters that those trying to rein them in were socialists or anarchists, then called upon the politicians they put into power to pass laws that benefited their businesses.
“Behind every one of half the portly well-dressed members of the Senate can be seen the outlines of some corporation interested in getting or preventing legislation,” the Chicago Tribune wrote in 1884, “or of some syndicate that has invaluable contracts or patents to defend or push.” Last Sunday a new filing with the Federal Election Commission revealed that donors delivered an astounding $239 million for Trump’s inauguration. Theodore Schleifer of the New York Times notes that Trump’s 2017 inaugural committee raised $107 million. The $346 million raised by Trump’s two inaugural committees is more than the monies raised by all other inaugural committees since Richard Nixon’s committee raised $4 million in 1973. While Trump’s allies have said the money that wasn’t spent on festivities will go to other projects Trump is behind, including his presidential library, there is no oversight on how Trump uses that money.
Spending on the election was even more dramatic. Earlier this month, Americans for Tax Fairness analyzed spending in 2024 and discovered that just 100 billionaire families donated a record-breaking $2.6 billion to federal campaigns, up by 160 times from billionaire spending in elections before the Supreme Court’s 2010 Citizens United decision. Seventy percent of that money went to Republican candidates or causes. In the three races that determined control of the Senate—Montana, Ohio, and Pennsylvania—outside money from billionaires made up 58.1%, 56.8%, and 44.5% of the outside money coming in. Elon Musk donated about $290 million, giving four times as much money to political campaigns in 2024 as he paid in income taxes between 2013 and 2018.
Those investments in a Trump administration are paying off. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is withdrawing a Biden-era rule requiring poultry companies to keep the levels of salmonella bacteria below a certain level in their meats to prevent illnesses commonly known as food poisoning. When the Biden administration proposed the rule, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention explained that salmonella causes 1.35 million infections a year and kills 420 people. The USDA said that about 125,000 of those infections came from chicken and another 43,000 from turkey. Officials estimated that the new rule would reduce salmonella illnesses by 25%.
The National Chicken Council celebrated the Trump administration's reversal of the rule, saying it would have had “no meaningful impact on public health.” On Friday, Charisma Madarang of Rolling Stone pointed out that the poultry company Pilgrim’s Pride gave $5 million to Trump’s inaugural committee, making it the largest donor to that effort. Two of the company’s executives, chief executive officer Fabio Sandri and head of the company’s food safety and quality assurance Kendra Waldbusser, serve on the board of the National Chicken Council.
Last month, Rick Claypool of the consumer rights organization Public Citizen noted that the Trump administration has dropped federal investigations and lawsuits against 89 corporations, many of whose leaders donated heavily to Trump’s inaugural fund. Another of those who has benefited significantly from the new policies is Elon Musk. Lisa Gilbert, co-president of Public Citizen, told Laurence Darmiento of the Los Angeles Times: “I think the overall goals of Donald Trump and Elon Musk are to slash regulations, to slash budgets and to cut positions all with this claim they are going to increase efficiency and fight fraud.”
But corporate ties to the government are not just about avoiding oversight; they are also about snagging lucrative federal contracts. Gilbert noted: “I would say it’s a smoke screen and cover for personal profit and corporate power—and that’s where Musk’s personal conflicts of interest come into play, as well as the other corporate actors across this government.”
On Friday, Andrew Perez and Asawin Suebsaeng of Rolling Stone reported that staffers for billionaire Elon Musk’s “Department of Government Efficiency” have been working on a multimillion-dollar communications project called “Project Lift” at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The plan appears to be to insert Musk’s Starlink into the $2.4 billion contract Verizon currently holds to upgrade the FAA’s systems, but DOGE staff have made FAA employees sign nondisclosure agreements, so details are scarce. An FAA spokesperson told Perez and Suebsaeng: “The federal employees running Project Lift are exploring a variety of solutions to modernize the FAA’s telecommunications network. Current contractors are part of the discussion.”
In the Trump administration, the connections between the government and business include the president’s family members.
Zach Everson of Forbes has been following the story of the Trump family’s involvement in artificial intelligence company Dominari Holdings, Inc. In February, Everson reported that just weeks after Trump announced the administration's push to loosen regulations and expand infrastructure for AI, his sons Donald Jr. and Eric invested in Dominari and joined its brand new advisory board, for which they received 750,000 shares each in the company although they had no official duties. The company then launched another company, American Data Center, Inc., in which the Trumps also invested. That company focused on the “high-performance computing infrastructure” to support AI, cloud computing, and cryptocurrency.
According to Amber Jackson of the U.K.’s Data Centre Magazine, Dominari stock leaped more than 1,000% after the Trump sons joined the advisory board. On Friday, Everson reported on a Securities and Exchange Commission filing revealing that Dominari has applied for conditions that would enable the shareholders, including Don and Eric Trump, to sell their stocks earlier than a normal timeline would allow. Each Trump brother now controls 1.2 million shares of Dominari, each holding now worth $5.8 million.
On Wednesday, Trump made the pay-to-play nature of his administration explicit when he announced that the top 220 holders of his $TRUMP cryptocurrency token would be invited to a dinner with Trump at his private club and that they would be offered a “VIP White House Tour” the next day. MacKenzie Sigalos and Kevin Collier of CNBC reported the meme coin jumped more than 50% on the news, netting Trump and his allies nearly $900,000 in trading fees.
Just before sunrise this morning, House minority leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) and Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) began a live-streamed sit-in protest and discussion on the steps of the U.S. Capitol to call attention to the Republicans’ budget bill. On Friday, Alan Rappeport and Tony Romm of the New York Times reported that the Republicans’ proposed 2026 budget would slash federal support for “child care, health research, education, housing assistance, community development and the elderly,” and for foreign aid. Attacking “woke” programs, it appears to implement much of Project 2025. Russell Vought, who was director of the Office of Management and Budget during Trump’s first term and has returned to that position in his second, was a key author of that playbook.
Cuts to programs that protect ordinary Americans will help to fund the extension of Trump’s 2017 tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations. Extending those tax cuts will cost at least $4 trillion over the next decade. Congress returns to session tomorrow, and it will take up the budget. In a statement, Jeffries and Booker said: “Republican leaders have made clear their intention to use the coming weeks to advance a reckless budget scheme to President Trump’s desk that seeks to gut Medicaid, food assistance and basic needs programs that help people, all to give tax breaks to billionaires.”
Throughout the day, Democratic lawmakers, activists, and passersby joined Jeffries and Booker’s twelve-hour sit-in.
An AP/NORC poll released yesterday showed that Trump’s approval rating has dropped to 39%. Today a Washington Post–ABC News–Ipsos poll confirmed that number. Trump’s approval rating at almost 100 days in office is the lowest of any president in 80 years.
For his part, Trump announced today that he “is bringing Columbus Day back from the ashes!”

austin (j.h.s.)
a/n: this is all for @cottagecori who made the mistake of asking me what i was putting jake through now
summary: A year after Jake washes out from the Navy, and almost fifteen after you’d seen him last, you re-meet him at a dive bar outside of Austin. Drunk, bruised, and alone, you find a shell of your former lover.
warnings: alcohol/intoxication, mentions of physical violence, references to Mav and Bradley dying, angsty, unedited, highly suggest you listen to austin by dasha
word count: 1.1k
You wince at the burn of alcohol sliding down your throat as you toss back the shot of cheap tequila.
As much as you try, nothing will numb the pain of coming back to this town outside of Austin, wipe the memories of the people and the places you left behind here.
One of the ghosts is seated across from you at the grimy table in this dive bar on the edge of town.
The dim light in the joint doesn’t hide the bruises coloring Jake’s face, and the exhaustion he wears is not one you remember on the often smiling boy who’d kept you warm at night and brightened your days.
“Are you getting into bar brawls again?” You ask softly, turning his face with your knuckle to get a better look at the cut on his lip.
“Why’re you here?” He slurs.
The man before you is drunk, far drunker than you’ve ever seen him before. You doubt he’ll remember this interaction come morning light, if think of it as nothing more than a hazy alcohol-induced dream.
That thought is what makes you feel safe, being here next to him and asking questions you wouldn’t have otherwise.
If Jake had been here sober, been coherent and able to give you real answers, you’d have gotten nowhere near him.
Not after he’d left you, cold in and alone in that bed the two of you used to share.
“Your anger has always been your fatal flaw.” You say with a sigh, turning back to your warming beer.
“What’s it to you?”
“You should know better by now Jake what it means to me.”
After what most would consider to be a perfect night, after whispered promises of a future and forever, after plans of marriage that would never escape the dark of night, Jake had left.
“I washed out, okay?” Jake finally snaps after a few minutes of tension-filled silence. “Got two- two good men killed because I wasn’t enough when it really counted. Bet it makes you feel good, watching my demise after-” He hiccups. “After all I did to you.”
You blink.
You’d heard Jake’s dreams of joining the Navy as the two of you had always planned your escape from this town with parents and lives that confined you so.
But that’s all they’d ever seemed to be to you: dreams.
Jake never talked of bringing them to fruition, of going after what he wanted.
It makes sense that he would leave you in the dust of his rearview mirror to go after what it was that he truly wanted.
How long had he planned on leaving? How long had he known that he would say goodbye?
Finally, you sigh.
The knowledge that Jake had failed in his dreams does little to assuage the sting at what it had all cost him.
“No, Jake. It doesn’t make me feel good to hear that. I loved you.”
Past tense?” He hiccups. His eyes are glassy.
You sigh again, letting your arm rest on the grimy bar top. “Jake-”
“Because I didn’t stop loving you.”
The admission makes you stop breathing for a moment, questions swirling in your chest.
How long has Jake been like this? Days, weeks, months, years? How long had he sat in this town, getting drunk to forget and sleeping in drunk tanks and getting into bar brawls, all waiting and hoping for your return?
How many years now had it been since you’d forced yourself to leave this boy in your past as he had left you?
But the reality is the broken man sitting in front of you is not the man you loved.
That boy had been kind. Like golden rays of light. He’d been sweet and charming unlike any other. He whispered promises of forever under a warm blanket of security. That boy had gone line dancing with you, keeping you laughing all through the night. He’d been the kid who helped you your math homework while letting you help him with his English.
This stranger in front of you is not the Jake you once knew.
This Jake has reached the precipice of no return, at a point only he can walk away from. This Jake is hardened by years of Navy service, details of which you’ll never know. This Jake is washed up, alone, drinking to ease the pain, only pennies to his name. This Jake lets others hurt him as a punishment he believes he deserves. This Jake is forever haunted by the ghosts of his past, living and dead. This Jake will live with what happened for evermore.
“Come home.” He whispers. “It can be like it was. I’ll be good to you this time, I promise.”
His request makes you shudder. It would be so easy to let yourself fall back.
You could be the one to get him sober. You could be the one to get him into therapy, to get his truck back. To get him in a park of cowboy boots and dance around like he used to.
You could be his sunlight.
But you know Jake will never fully forget what happened and you know Jake will never be the same.
You could see that future now.
You’d plead and beg and scream for him to stay sober but he’d always fall back. He’d bleed your bank accounts dry. You’d wait on the front porch for him to return, only for him to never come home again. He’d find his way into an untimely death, crashing his car into the side of the road or letting some person beat him too far, leaving you in shambles once more.
No amount of love you had for the boy Jake had once been will save the stranger in front of you.
“I don’t deserve you, I know that. Just come back to me.”
The pleading in his voice is what breaks you. It’s what propels you while haunting all your dreams.
“Goodbye Jake.” You whisper, slipping off the barstool.
His eyes fall, the sadness consuming them. You try not to think about it as you leave this place behind.
Jake had left you behind once before. He would do it again.
The truth was that Jake would never move past this moment right here. This rock bottom for him is all he would ever continue to be.
Maybe Jake had no way forward, but you did.
It was time for you to forget him. For good.
“in 40 years you’ll still be here/drunk washed up in Austin”

Dasha Burns and Myah Ward at Politico:
Former Blackwater CEO Erik Prince and a team of defense contractors are pitching the White House on a plan to vastly expand deportations to El Salvador — transporting thousands of immigrants from U.S. holding facilities to a sprawling maximum security prison in Central America.
The proposal, exclusively obtained by POLITICO, says it would target “criminal illegal aliens” and would attempt to avoid legal challenges by designating part of the prison — which has drawn accusations of violence and overcrowding from human rights groups — as American territory. It’s unclear how seriously the White House is considering the plan by Prince, who has drawn scrutiny for his firm’s role in a deadly massacre in Iraq two decades ago. But it would give Prince’s group an unprecedented and potentially highly lucrative role in an expanded version of a transnational operation that has elicited its own web of controversies, in part because it has swept up immigrants who do not have criminal records in the United States. The group has had multiple talks with administration officials, and the ideas laid out in the proposal are likely to be a top subject in the bilateral meetings with El Salvador at the White House next week, according to two people familiar with the Prince proposal and an administration official, granted anonymity to discuss information that has not previously been made public.
Administration officials have already discussed the idea of the U.S. owning some of the prison complex, the administration official said, adding that the White House continues to weigh a number of options and that the plan would be in line with the goal of getting “dangerous people as far away from the continental U.S. as possible.” The administration official also said they expect the proposal to be discussed during El Salvador President Nayib Bukele’s visit to the White House on Monday, when he is planning to meet with President Donald Trump to hash out a variety of immigration issues. The proposal would ultimately put Prince in charge of an extraordinary privatization effort that would use his company to handle logistics, including ferrying tens of thousands of detainees from American holding cells to El Salvador’s prison. An LLC called 2USV was registered in Wyoming on Wednesday, an indication that Prince’s group is hoping to move to a more serious phase of pitching the White House.
[...] It’s Prince’s latest bid to seek government contracts as the Trump administration continues to face legal and logistical headwinds in its efforts to rapidly deport undocumented immigrants, and it comes just months after the former Blackwater CEO pitched the White House on an expansive plan to outsource the president’s mass deportations campaign — a proposal first reported by POLITICO. Now Prince has zeroed in on a narrower target, further evidence that the administration’s desire to make good on the president’s signature campaign promise has created an opening for private contractors who see potential profits in mass deportations. The proposal says Prince’s group, in partnership with El Salvador, will facilitate an operation that would handle the logistics of gathering “100,000 of the worst criminal offenders” from U.S. prisons, holding them at a 10,000-person detention camp and flying them to El Salvador. The group says it will need access to the government’s immigration files from law enforcement agencies to determine their immigration status, further entwining the private enterprise with government operations. “This contract will not only solve the legal issues pertaining to removing criminal aliens, it will enhance the government’s capability to locate, capture, detain and deport aliens,” the document says. Prince’s group also wants a role in the immigration courts, one of several elements of the proposal that would likely draw legal challenges.
[...] The document also includes a letter from El Salvador’s Minister of Justice and Public Security Héctor Gustavo Villatoro, dated March 13. It says Prince, through his new special entity called 2USV, is serving as a “trade agent” for El Salvador to “reach an agreement on the use of El Salvador’s prisons to house foreign criminals.” A spokesperson for Bukele and the embassy did not respond to a request for comment on the country’s purported role in the project.
What an insane pitch from Erik Prince.

Hi! I came from your brief big 3 nakshatra analysis, and I was surprised that I would end up knowing more about Purva Phalguni the most.
I really don't know the nature of Krittika, aside from the known fact that it's ruled by Sun and that it has a connection to the act of "cutting". But despite others associating Krittika to being critical or managerial pursuits, something in me feels like there is something more to this Nakshatra. I have my Krittika Moon in Taurus, and the internal intensity is very much true. This also happens to be my darakaraka, btw.
Purva Bhadrapada, on first look, I always remember it as a boundless expansion, but apparently it's a pretty violent and intense sign? I also see this often with fire and dragons and I resonate strongly with both symbolisms. I also feel spiritually connected to volcanoes for some reasons.
Then Purva Phalguni... I always know it to be a nakshatra associated with enjoyment, luxuries, romance, relaxation, and creativity. But the responsibility part is the first time I knew about it. Maybe it's a random epiphany with the existing knowledge that my Sun is also my atmakaraka, but I never actually knew that Purva Phalguni also has a side of responsibility/being reliable for others to complement all those enjoyment and creativity.
Duality is also very true for me, I feel volcanic/hellish by myself as in very intense yet I seem to be a cozy campfire when with other people or in public.
Thank you for the insights!
Hi 143folium, thanks for your kind message. Glad to have helped. Krittika is ruled by Agni, the god of fire and the messenger between the heavenly realms and ours. Agni will define this nakshatra entirely. The Sun doesn't rule Krittika, besides planets don't rule any nakshatras: planets rule the solar signs while the deities rule the nakshatras, the lunar signs. The Sun is connected to Krittika because of the Vimshottari Dasha system. In other dasha systems, Krittika will be connected to other planets. For example, Krittika is related to Venus according to the Ashtottari Dasha system... And to Saturn in the Yogini Dasha system! 😱 The Sun is commonly said to be connected to Krittika because the Vimshottari Dasha system is the dasha system in use for most people of our current age, Kali Yuga. I used the term "Vimshottari Lord" as it was shorter and sounded better than "connected to" or "related to" even though I must admit that it's not completely accurate as the Sun doesn't rule Krittika. Of course, needless to say, it doesn't mean we have to forget about the planets, it would be a terrible mistake too. Yes, Purva Bhadrapada is a very intense and wild nakshatra. It's literally a hot nakshatra. For example, regarding health, it's all about burning, itching and unnecessary heat in the body. Volcanoes are usually related to Mula nakshatra, so, take a look at your charts and see if you have anything there or aspected. 😉

You keep mentioning pushing people down the stairs, but my fav Russian court assassination is just a group of very drunk dudes nonchalantly coming to emperor Pavel's bedchamber and strangling him because they hated him That much. (His wife made a much better ruler so they kinda slayed with this move, tbh. Pun intended.)
Anyways, generic OLL question: what are the one thing the ROs hate and the one thing they love about themselves? And a question I have as a mad scientist fucker: is playing doctor with Dasha reserved only for the Servant? Can't my poor and unfortunately curious Royal wheedle them into some roleplay? 👉👈
SPECIFICALLY THIS IS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT!! I fucking love all these fucked ways to assassinate people that these guys just... Carried out with. ANYWAY-
Arkasha: Both are kinda the same thing, their mind. They know they're smart, cunning, in a way that even startles them some times. But it also scares them at times. Sometimes, rarely, if they break from a spiral and look back at what they were thinking it spooks them. But also they really really like their eyes, but not a fan of their own freckles. Tried to "burn" them off when they were younger and all it did was scar a patch of their shoulders.
Dasha: They think of themself as completely brilliant (another one) but they adore their own hands. They're always found them striking. But also, their own scientific drive is very attractive to themself. They have VERY high self esteem if you can't tell. The only thing they don't like about themself is their heritage. NOT their nationality or anything, but their family. Hates when it's brought up that Dasha has been nothing but a servant until lately.
Sasha: Really likes their appearance. Proud of it, well kept. Their body is lovely, and they know other people find it arousing. They're also very proud of their athletic prowess, their dancing when younger and then their horse riding and hunting now. What they don't like? Their own feelings much of the time. They feel things too much. Everything is amplified for them and when it's bad, it feels like it's hurting them. It's why when they crash out in the servant route, it's real and it makes them... Struggle.
Priest J: They're very proud of their own memory. Strong, near photographic. They will never forget anything. Also they like their hair. There's very little about themself they don't like, but if they could pick something, it would be that they have no room for their family. Hates the spikes of loneliness they feel.
The Aide: Their prowess, their height, the fact they're a walking weapon. They're proud of it. Sometimes dislikes the fact that they're just... A phantom. To everyone but you.
AND NO! THERE CAN BE SOME DOCTOR'S PLAY FOR THE ROYAL MC!
