Fun fact:This is supposed to be a redraw of the newest Justice Ducks cover that was said to have used a/i and to have traced from James Silvani (Who was actually an artist for the 2010’s DWD comics.) I in no way have been supporting the Dynamite series and I do not support the fact they’ve been shown to trace well known DWD artists instead of just hiring them.

I haven't draw Darkwing Duck fanart in years, especially one of fav. hero team, Justice Ducks. I decide to draw and redesign them again.

Darkwing Duck [Drake Mallard]

I changed my his old redesign outfit a little bit, but it still looks the same. Because, his original outfit design in the show is always iconic to me.

Darkwing Duck in my Justice Ducks AU story: He still has a little bit some of the personality as the original show like big-ego in sometime. But, he become bit serious. Also he knows how to work more as a team and has more leadership as Leader of Justice Ducks. He and Gizmoduck become a good friend, although he still sees Gizmoduck as a rival sometimes.

Morgana Macawber

Well, I changed my her old redesign outfit looks more modern, while keeping some her witch original outfit detail looking the same as in the show.

Morgana in my Justice Ducks AU story: She still has the same personality as in the show. But her magic powers are improved, less mistakes and powerful. But, her magic powers still can make mistakes in sometimes as in the show. She can her some magic powers in battle as in the show.

Gizmoduck [Fenton Crackshell]

Okay, I changed his old design to be different from my his redesign and the original design in the show. I changed from his unicycle armor suit to armor suit with roller-skate. I designed him to look like Megaman X. I know, it looks to for Ducktale and Darkwing Duck fans, and I don't have a problem with his unicycle armor suit in the show. But, unicycle armor suit looks bit weird to me. Plus, I want made him cool.

Gizmoduck in my Justice Ducks AU story: He still has some same personality as in the show. In my AU story, he respect in Darkwing Duck and his sense of Justice. His Gizmosuit abilities still similar as the original show like flying. But it was big upgraded become more advance. His new Gizmosuit technology weapon worked similar Megaman X and Cyborg (Teen Titans 2003 ver). Especially, his arm part can transform powerful cannon blaster called "G-Blaster" (in any arms) and can produce to some other weapon tools from his arms. For legs part, it's can change to be roller-skate that can travel high speed as old unicycle armor suit in the original show, or rocket shoes that can flying and hover.

Stegmutt

I changed the old design outfit a little bit, I designed him and his outfit looks like an cheerful and active young adult, although he became to big stegosaurus (Yes, This is how to I see Stegmutt).

Stegmutt in my Justice Ducks AU story: He and his backstory still has the same as in the show, but more cheerful and playful (as Beast Boy in Teen Titans 2003 ver). In his backstory in my AU story, main reason he work as Janitor at the Natural History Museum in St Canard, he love dinosaur much when he was kid and duck. Before he become dinosaur, Being able to work and see dinosaurs in museum the same time was little happiness for him, although he was working as a janitor at the time.

Neptunia

I changed her outfit design, but not too much. I tried to design her looks like Aquaman (her inspiration character) and Mera (Well...honestly, my her outfit design looks more like Mera than Aquaman in my opinion).

Neptunia in my Justice Ducks AU story: Her backstory my AU story, after she met Darkwing Duck in "Something Fishy", it made realize she became mutant fish, it was her fate chosen her become Protector of the sea. She got Trident and trumpet between her journey in the ocean. Her Trident abilities are similar as Aquaman like water manipulation, lightning blast and etc. in my AU.

i picked up a bunch of comic books last night, mainly dwd. spotting the second issue at the store by surprise only to fall into the rabbit hole and start binging the show is actually what started my darkwing obsession! it’s wild to think that was only a matter of weeks ago.

at any rate, spa day drakepad is vital to me. some more of my favorite panels under the cut.

I guess they broke up? I don't remember them being mentioned in the Geronimo Saga, but since Gizmoduck is focused on Duckburg and Morgana is fulfilling her dream with her line of restaurants, I guess each member followed their own path

Duckvember - Wrong, Professional and Maniacal Duck (Ducks) - Fearsome Five VS Justice Ducks - Darkwing Duck

I haven't drawn Darkwing Duck for a long time and primarily villains, but this time I drew as two teams, one team is supervillains, while the other is superheroes.

Yes, there's Negaduck from the Negaverse with his chainsaw, Megavolt, Quackerjack with Mr Banana Brain, Liquidator and Bushroot with Spike and a live mushroom.

On the other side are the Justice Ducks, i.e. superheroes led by Darkwing Duck (Drake Mallard). Apart from him, there is also Morgana Macawber (a famous witch and sometimes Drake's partner), Stegmutt (a dinosaur with strong and powerful powers but clumsy), Gizmoduck (you know him) and Neptunia (a sea fish that takes care of the seascapes and summons sea creatures for help) . And I also added Launchpad McQuack, since he is Drake's faithful partner and a good sidekick. Yes, I found inspiration for both drawings in the drawings of the genius Tad Stones who also made Darkwing Duck. Who do you prefer more? Fearsome Five or Justice Ducks or both groups? Yes, I know that Duckvember is coming to an end, but I will do my best to finish all the given topics and not only about Donald Duck, but also about other ducks. Darkwing Duck is my favorite duck after Donald, Daffy, HDL, Plucky and Scrooge. Yes, I want to address Darkwing Duck as well, as it is one of my favorite Disney series and thanks to the good new Darkwing Duck comics for that.

Coming this December, the Darkwing comics will get yet another spin-off , this time focusing on The Justice Ducks!

I've been thinking about my Darkwing Duck Reboot story for years, and I know that what I wanted to do with it is bring characters from the old show but to give them my own personal touch. While Neptunia was a crucial character in the Justice Ducks episodes, I felt that she was merely a character that the creators used to spoof Aquaman and as another body for the Justice Ducks team. She was only in two episodes, and I feel that she is by far one of the least favorite characters of fans and creators alike (I haven't read the comics, so I don't know how much she appears there).

For my reboot, I do want to bring Neptunia in but with a different backstory and more character. And I'm afraid I am going to make her more villain than her, kind of opposite of what she had been.

A little backstory which I'm still tweeking since I haven't yet gotten to her part with my chapter summaries, she used to be a duck that was poisoned with toxic waste and turned into half-fish (opposed to the original who was a fish). She was an environmental protestor back in the sixties when she ran afoul of a greedy corporate CEO who tried to get rid of her. Instead, it transformed her and she lay at the bottom of the sea bed in a sort of hybernation for almost sixty years. When she wakes up, she's a bit confused with her transformation and is covered in barnacles, seaweed and coral (which you can see a little in the picture). Half-crazy from waking up, she immediately wants revenge for almost being killed, which is a moot point since the CEO has been dead for quite a while. In the end, she has determined to sink St. Canard into the bay.

It's a little cliche, and I'm still working on the story. Will Neptunia eventually turn into a good guy and join the Justice Ducks? I'm not entirely sure. Right now, I don't think so, but my stories change a lot between brain storming and the finished works, so we'll see.
